Gardenia

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Gardenia, and it's truly captivated me. At first spray, I was immediately transported to a lush garden on a warm summer evening, enveloped by the intoxicating scent of blooming gardenias. However, as the fragrance develops on my skin, it takes on a fascinating transformation. The gardenia note softens, giving way to a more powdery texture that adds a sophisticated, classic touch. This powdery quality is complemented by a growing vanilla presence, adding a warm, sweet depth to the scent. What really sets this fragrance apart is its beautiful evolution. The opening is a stunning, true-to-life gardenia note - rich, creamy, and intensely floral. It reminded me initially of Profumum Roma's Volo AZ 686 in its opulent white floral character. For those who love white florals but also appreciate a touch of powdery sweetness, this fragrance is a must-try. It strikes a perfect balance between fresh and cozy, making it versatile for various occasions.

It smells so good! Surprise for me because having tested many TK's scents I haven't found too many that I would like. But this is certainly one of those. Once I thought I'd like to get a full bottle of Plumeria because it is so special. Now I see that Gardénia is another such possibility, equally interesting and enjoyable. I generally don't like vanilla-based scents because they are just too sweet but this one is an exception. It was still on my hand the next day so it lasts long.

I didn't expect this would be the more powdery and vanillic version of Quelques fleurs L'Original, to my nose! And the sweet, floral and powdery scents are absolutely my cup of tea!!! So I'm very excited for this happy blind buy: it will be one of my favourite and most used fragrances in this hot summer!

I had to test this a few times, because the initial blast of powder, is a powder-bomb, however, literally about five minutes later, the powder note is much tamer. I then get the white florals and vanilla and I really enjoy it. It blends extremely well and is on the gourmand side rather than floral - which I won't complain about, I love gourmands! However, I wanted to throw that out there for those that aren't fans. Overall this is a clean white, fluffy, floral (not indolic), vanilla. I love to wear it casually straight out of the shower but I look forward to wearing this with pretty outfits in the spring.

The name of this is misleading, I get no gardenia , it should be called 'powder'. The first few minutes this is a powder bomb of epic proportions! Give it a while and the powder starts to mellow and then the vanilla gets to be the co-leader, it gets smoother and sweeter.There are some flowers , not gardenia to me, just non descript white flowers, dancing very quietly in the background , adding some interest in the main 2 notes. It's feminine, different, long lasting and heavy on sillage, but disregard if being hit by powder is not your thing!
