Au Cœur 🩷 by Thomas de Monaco I’ve had this sample forever, and honestly, I think my nose was just tired back then, because revisiting it now feels like rediscovering something quietly special. From the first spray, it’s all about magnolia—bright, natural, and incredibly smooth on the skin. Then the rose comes in slowly, soft and warm, not jammy or old-school. The drydown shifts slightly into cedar, musk, and tonka, a bit more familiar, yes, but still very pretty and comforting. What really stands out is the quality: the blending feels very refined, significantly elegant, and the longevity is impressive and wearable!!! It’s perfect for elegant moments, intimate settings, and quiet confidence. The only real downside? The price is steep. I don’t get Guidance or DVN SM vibes on my skin at all. Worth every sniff ❣️

Lovely, enticing fragrance. I get a bit of a spicy opening (pepper) but it is soon overtaken by gentle floral notes. Has a somewhat vintage vibe but without the dusty side often associated with vintage scents. I am going through my sample very quickly - and unfortunately for my budget, when I wear a sample more than once it usually means I am heading for a FB.

Very expensive-smelling rose/floral/musky fragrance. I cannot abide ambroxan or anything similar, but it is well-blended here and is not readily noticeable. I would struggle to figure out where to wear this. Definitely smells like something you'd wear with a suit. Absolutely gorgeous. EDIT: yeah, I had to buy a bottle. ❤️

What a beautiful rich woody floral fragrance with a vintage vibe and a blast of pink pepper at the start. Then the pink pepper infiltrates with the honeyed sweetness of flowers, and the fragrance stays honey-sweet (the sweetness of vintage perfumes, not Estee but something in that direction) woody.

I love this so much. It’s completely unique to my nose, and I find myself craving it when I wear a different fragrance. Im so glad they’re making this a permanent addition to their line. Looking forward to trying the reformulation.

So beautiful and mature, to me it smells somewhat masculine and professional, I’m surprised by the floral notes. Very well balanced. Sadly very expensive.

It's rare in my experience for a fragrance that's so romantic and delicate also to be so complex as Eau Couer is. The notes are beautifully blended, but oddly enough I can pick them out. The florals dominate (with the osmanthus adding a nice peachiness to the rose and magnolia), but the ambroxan adds a breath of air to the whole thing it would otherwise be lacking, and for once I appreciate the pink pepper, which adds some punch and prevents the whole thing from being insipid. Although this is marketed as unisex, it might be hard for some men to wear. But the longer I wore this, and especially when I wore it outside, I worried less about the romantic and dressier side of this as that wore off, and I realized this would actually work well as a day-scent, because there is genuine grit beneath the soft flower petals. I recommend sampling this even if you don't buy a full bottle just because it's so remarkable to see how well made and complex new fragrances still can be.

Interestingly I’m picking up a cocoa note in the opening, making this a floral gourmand scent. The flowers are very sweet....with honey and what I’m picking up that’s not listed; vanilla pods not fully ripened. I usually can’t stand Ambroxan, but for some unexpected olafactory voodoo, I like it here.

It was bling buy. Saw it at great price and bought it without second thought. Love the scent and performance, but not on me. It turns way too feminine on my skin, so I had to trade it. I would say it is somewhat safe blind buy for women, but definitely not for men.

I love this. The rose is gorgeous. The pepper is subtle. The woods are intriguing. The vanilla is mild. It’s wonderful. I’ll be wearing this again. For people who liked Lancôme Magnifique, this is a replacement option.

Instantly pick up fruity accords. When it dries down I get a soft fruity rose trailed by lemon. As some more time passes it get a sweet musky smell. This is a very mature kinda feminine leaning scent.

I did respect this for having a somewhat unisex version of a white floral. It smells very clean. But there’s just nothing that remarkable that would warrant adding this to my collection

I can’t tell if I love this perfume or hate it. To my nose, the ambrox super is almost overpowering and very heavy from the first spray. After several hours, it does calm down slightly and become a very elegant floral/woody concoction, but getting there is rather unpleasant. Spray this one lightly at first!

I'm getting pickles with this one. Some of the woods must be coming through as dill-y. Oh well. It also smells more masculine to me.

I'm not sure this is for me, but it's for someone, someone with FINE taste. First of all, these original bottles are gorgeous. And I really love the direction that Thomas de Monaco is going. This fragrance is for a confident woman, it's not screaming, but it's not quiet, and it feels like a statement piece to me because I can't think of anything with this profile. It's unique in it's top notes are STRONG, with Pink Pepper and Magnolia. Very sweet and very spicy at the same time. To me this also comes off very dry, not quite dusty or powdery, but dry. I think someone who loves dry wines will adore this. Ive never smelled anything like it! which, I thought was going to be a winner for me...but sadly it's not a slam dunk for me. I blind bought this but don't think it's going to stay in my collection. I think I'll find a new home for her, she deserves a top shelf.

This is such a beautiful scent! Super natural floral that feels so smooth... I would say this smells more similar to DVN SM, I do not get any similarities to Guidance (know that is a polarizing scent, if you don't like that one, I would still recommend giving this a try). I would give another reference scent is Dusita La Rhapsodie Noire- there are not many shared notes, but I thought of LRN when smelling Eau Coeur- reminiscent but with less aromatics and stronger floral presence. I don't get an overwhelming rose presence; I pick up the other florals and woods more. With the musk and tonka lending a round sweetness in the base. This is a traditionally feminine leaning smell, but I think this would be very attractive on men as well. Think this would be great year-round, signature scent worthy!

I think this is just kind of meh. I get pink pepper and juicy fruits with some beautiful florals, rose for sure. Maybe a touch of citrus. The dry down is a bit powdery/musky and gives it some depth. Very easy to like, not polarizing at all. I like my florals old fashioned or over the top and lush smelling but this is very fem, pretty and would be an easy reach for any time of day imo.

I have the same vibes as in Baccarat rouge with this mineral floral and ambroxan diffusion. Very nice scent indeed.
