Grand Beau Extrait de Parfum

Sharp, clean tang from the juniper berries with its forest like, aromatic facets linking up nicely to the coniferousness from the pine. Olibanum and its bright lemony tones shining through a sheet of pale tonka bean, none to sweet. This is a left of field freshie. A cooling, crisp curve ball of a scent. Almost like if Spell 125 by Liz Moores over at Papillon had zero ambergris (just salt), amped up the zing and turned down the stink. I like this. This house is very impressive.

It is amazing! I got the Extrait by mistake and it is a mega beast. I have always liked this one but finally decided to get it on a trip to ZGO. It is actually better than what i got in store, just to tell you how good it is. It is deep, complex, immediately gorgeous and keeps growing and changing over time

When I smelled this before reading the notes I wrote down pine + cypress green fougere. But there was something zingy I couldn’t identify, which I now am sure is juniper. And a sweetness far in the back. There is a subtle crystalline sheen to the whole thing but it never feels too synthetic or molecular, it sits just right. Not a loud fragrance by an means, either. This is modernizing a fougere in a totally unique way. Bracing and fresh but also kind of a throwback in the right ways. 8.5/10

I just can't with this brand. All this tacky nouveau riche presentation just to end up reeking like the average amberwoody dumpster fire that can be bought cheaply at kiosks in Dubai. Thomas de Monaco, more like Grifter de Zurich.

Finally I got the bottle. Naaah it's definitely not something you will expect... definitely not for younger generations, definitely not for metrosexuals,definitely not for ages under 35. No this fragrance is impossible to be worn by women. No I don't feel gardens and flowers, no I don't feel anything pleasant. Yes it's extremely strong, yes it has crazy sllage, yes it leaves strange feeling of something clean and just taken from washing machine. It is an oscar winner parfume from 75 and I am sure that in my country we had at that year, if not even earlier, industrial washing soap for clothes and it's smells exactly like this. No this perfume is not radiant, yes it is special, unique and different. I wanted to throw a bottle right away but I decided to give it a chance. Uniqueness of this....when you feel it faded just blow your hot breath on it and enjoy the magic. Put one drop of water on it and smell what reborn really means. This makes it definitely very unique. No don't try to wash it because it will be mission impossible. Parfume that doesn't bother you at all when it calms down, but due to its reactions with hotness, sweat and humid be careful not more than two or three sprays.

This is an incredible freshie fragrance, I own around 40 niche fragrances and this one instantly goes to my top 3. Mass appealing and in my opinion a safe blind buy if you like the notes.
