Star Chaser

This is a hard fragrance profile to describe. You get neroli, aldehydes, some sweetness. Bright, airy and synthetic is the best stab at how I’d explain what I smell to someone who has never smelled this profile. But if you’ve smelled Minotaure, Nikos Sculpture, Dunhill Red, or B9 Lafayette Street you’ve smelled this framework. Of these, Star Chaser is likely a close second on my preference behind vintage Minotaure and Star Chaser is more wearable today as it’s got more modern facets. It’s not screechy like Sculpture or Dunhill Red. And it has a marine and sweet base that I prefer to Lafayette. Longevity is 6-8 hours with noticeable projection for a while but I go nose blind after 45 minutes. An 8/10. Really nice and for $75-80 it’s cheaper than most grey market designers now with far better quality.

I have to agree with @flare brady below. This is a more airy and fizzy, crystalline version of Lafayette Street by Bond No 9. I love BN9 LS (although it’s not a new DNA) but the price is outrageous! Despite the price, I went through 5 bottles but I see no need to pay for BN9’s iteration of this DNA because of Star Chaser. It’s exactly the same but better (if that makes sense) it’s the same DNA but smoother, more diffusive and transparent, and smells more refined. LS smells screechy and too dense compared to Star Chaser. I never thought this about LS UNTIL I smelled SC but the the fact still remains. SC is a cheaper, better quality and blend and more pleasant version on LS so it’s a no brainer. If you love LS you’re absolutely gonna love SC, 1000% safe blind buy. Trust me.

some peeople are saying this does not have good perfromance, but are comparing it to no4 which literally last days on clothes. i personally dont mind if it only lasts 6-7 thats is plenty good for the price and the sillage is great. This honestly is a better lafayette street. its still a bit screechy like lafayette street, but a lot less imo. This smells a lot smoother and definitely more wearable. neither of these scents are scents that you should be smelling with your nose directly on your arm, but at like 2 inches away this smells phenomenal which is more of what you'll be smelling from the sillage anyway. theres literally no need to get lafayette as this is just it but morerefined. wearble any time of the the year and a friendly office scent/any occassion.

Wonder how MFK gentle fluidity silver is not listed as the main 'reminds me of' scent or even listed at all? because this is EXTREMELY similar, nearly a clone id say, i love GFS and i tried this at the mall today and thats all it made me think of, ive tried Lafayette street and i guess it could be comparable but thats muchh warmer and heavier of a profile, this is very airy and clean laundry scent with zero leather type smell, not sure why ppl are listing that, i absolutely love this but its a tad sweeter and dare i say has better performance, it fits the same usability as GFS would, which is in my top 5 most complimented scents, 8/10 cant fully rate it since i just sprayed it on my arm a few times at the mall but it lasted easily 6+hrs

Man I love this. I knew I would like it but I really wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do. Maybe I’m biased because I’m a sucker for anything with that Lafayette St/Sculpture DNA but this is my favorite of that whole ilk. It’s a fresher take on it, and I think the twist really elevates the entire scent profile. A bit synthetic but not in a bad way. It also lasts for the entire day on me but it’s not a massive room filler where you’ll choke everyone out. You’ll be noticed for sure, and the protection is great, it’s just never overwhelming (imo). 9/10, this is fantastic. I have around 130ish bottles and I can tell I’ll be neglecting quite a few and using this a lot.
