Kimono Rose

I had a Kimono Rose scented candle years ago, which I *loved* - it had the most feminine, comforting scent - and was recently reminded of it. This led me to some research, where I realized the Thymes actually had a perfume for it - I had to buy it, at least for the nostalgia. I wore Kimono Rose today and it does not disappoint. I smell rose, vanilla, a bit of citrus, and a hint of spice - just like the candle I smelled years ago. It's so feminine and understatedly sexy. I was worried about longevity, but I'm actually quite happy with it - the scent radiated off me for a few hours, and now 4 hours in, it's become a wrist scent, which I'm totally fine with. Like someone mentioned below, the scent actually reminds me a bit of Cacharel's Amor Amor (which I own) - just more floral (from the rose), and less spicy. And I think I actually prefer it over Amor Amor, at least for everyday.

What an underrated fragrance. My husband complements me absolutely every single time I wear this and I'd say it's his favorite fragrance of all that I own. And not just him, it's a major complement getter across the board. It's versatile, could almost go year round in my climate (hot, humid, mild winters.) I wear this as an every day fragrance because at this point I'm looking for more unique fragrances. But seriously, this is beautiful and sexy and should get more hype than it does, especially for $60 a bottle and tons of options for ancillaries to go with it (which do help the longevity.) It also has an elegance to it that I think makes it stand out above some of the other fragrances in this category.

Gah! I have the lotion and I'm dying to get my hands on a bottle of the perfume. I feel rose tends to lean either cold or jammy. Not so here - this is clean without being cold or aldehydic. It's sweet, but not fruity or gourmand. This is a warm, autumn rose. Its almost like it creates its own golden afternoon sunbeam. The lotion sticks around- though it seems to take a back seat then suddenly glow with a peach hued radiance at random points throughout the day. I tested the perfume long ago and loved it. I'll track it down again some day. Update: finally got the cologne and I'm in love. Just as beautiful as the lotion and it seems perfect for all seasons. Might have found my signature!

This scent is deliciously soft, like peeking at fresh roses through gossamer.. Light & airy, still substantial. Like whispering silk. I did not get any vanilla, just a fresh, soft rose-peony scent. I've worn this for years, to bed for calm, in times of tempest for some peace. My husband loves it. I was ecstatic to find a big bottle of this favorite I'd run out of! There is a slight green & leafy aspect to it, pale pink roses and stems, tossed onto the silken sheets. Sheer and romantic. Good staying power for such a soft fragrance! Love this beauty!!

I LOVE the smell of this on my wife. It is a VERY adult scent and is extremely sexy. The Thymes perfumes don't transition quite like others as the armomas start and finish with the same scents. As the name suggests, there is a predominance of a very robust tea rose with hints of mandarine orange, peony and a liberal dab of cassis which just melds them all together. This is very feminine and is quite satiny on my wife's skin. I see this more as a boudoir scent for "special" nights rather than something to wear out on the town...but, oh what a scent.
