REVIEW - FOCONERO by TIZIANA TERENZI - The essence of Sorrento What does it smell like? Probably like Sorrento! A natural smelling fresh spicy composition covered in a beautiful blanket of green herbalness that smells like a vibrant busy day on a coast! TOP NOTES - Foconero opens up with a splash of beautifully blended Green and Aquatic opening laden with Juniper and some high quality citruses. The top is effervescent and volatile,fills up the whole room where you spray it. Right from the get go this one takes a different route than your usual freshies, intriguing you all the while about the journey that's it's going to take you on. HEART NOTES - While the top was blended to a level of energetic and effervescent notes that only made you wonder about the signs of things to come,the middle now let's each and every note shine. The Transition on this scent is very slow. It's very calm and composed with it's development, moving along with you at a very slow pace,like a slow ride through the coast line,letting all of its notes give a good account of themselves. And for good reason,an extrait that doesn't leave your skin that briskly is a good sign. A tart lemon and some soothingly herbal Oakmoss get more into the play now. Along with somewhat muted Cardamom and Thyme giving this one some beautiful spicy herbalness. So upto this mind this has been very fresh,green,very uplifting and vibrant, with a good positive ring to the whole composition. DRYDOWN - The drydown like the rest of the compositions comes at a very slow pace. We're talking good 2-3 hours before the herbalness and spicy freshness of this starts to give way to a much smoother but even more richer than the experience above. Much more calmer,much more smoother at this point. You start to get smooth yet exciting Ylang Ylang blended with some Sandalwood,Hyacinth and Cedarwood. There's also some white-floral cleanliness at this point thanks to the Lily of the Valley. All in all the drydown is rich, exciting and super smooth. All in all after the brisk energetic ride through the coast line on a sunny day in Sorrento you can watch the sun set beautifully and soothingly with some breazy nuances in this one making you feel tireless while you see a full moon ascending through the coast. PERFORMANCE - Being an extrait,the longevity isn't a problem on this one. And the slow nature of it's development is the first sign you get in that regard. All in all it gets me 10+ hours on skin,which is amazing for a freshie,and I can smell this next day on my clothes. Siliage on this is high while it projects very nicely as you move, giving you whiffs for good 2-3 hours. EMOTIONS AND USAGE - This is both youthful and mature at the same time. I don't even know it it makes sense but. The citruses are exciting while the herbal notes tell you this person knows what he/she's doing. This is unisex. Nothing in it which leans too much on either side of the spectrum, it's just cozy calm and exciting! VERDICT - Though this comes into the territory of Blue fragrances but this has enough differences to seperate it from a usual freshie. Both in terms of it's composition and it's performance. As far as freshies go,this one deserves more respect. With the price tag that it comes with,and the performance it delivers with the quality and finesse of the very in-vougue Italian fragrance house this deserves much much more love and attention.

This is the Millesime Imperial of today, I'll tell you why. So this is a salty water, ozonic, green citrus perfume with a dash of hyacinth. It's noticeably salty - the juniper here isn't smoky like cade, more like cold spicy gin with lime way. To me this smells like you took Millesime Imperial, gave it some steroids (this lasts a whole day with a strong projection) and splashed in some hyacinth from Xerjoff's Accento - and just like Creed the quality of the bottle is shit. The atomizer is slightly crooked inside making the clouds facing a touch down - leaving wide, oily stains on the matte black bottle. The cap is light, mine is with deep production scratches - not to mention that it doesn't fully 'click'; I always have to check if the cap is locked in place. If you like your bottles nice and even you better keep this in the back of your collection as the cap is even only on one side and it appears crooked on the bottle. It is a safe blind buy IF you like salty, slightly bitter, dry, ozonic watery citrus. You need to like salt and ambergris-like notes to enjoy this. And tolerate shit quality bottles.

DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS!!! In the opening, it's one of the most beautiful fresh scents I've ever smelled. It feels exactly the way the manufacturer describes — a gorgeous, sun-drenched landscape painted with herbs, lime, and salt. And then, after 1 hour — poof, it's gone. You're left with a very subtle, barely-there floral skin scent. At first I thought I'd gotten hold of a faulty batch, but testing two other bottles gave me the same result. The most probable explanation is... Anosmia. Around 25% of people are unable to smell Iso E Super, Ambroxan, and other synthetic molecules widely used in perfumery. Given the fresh, soapy, woody scent that most reviewers describe in the drydown, some of these were likely used here. If you want more, just look up the OR7A17 receptor. Simply put — if you're genetically predisposed to have this receptor inactive, you just won't be able to smell these molecules, and there's nothing you can do about it. Such a shame. A scent this beautiful deserves better than to be a genetic lottery.

I have yet to get my nose on Percival or Vodka on the Rocks, so I can’t speak to whether this is similar to those, but I can understand the comparison to Fierce and Legend. However, while I can see those comparisons, Foconero is a different experience. To my nose, while it does have a lot of similarity, the quality is next level. If I am to be honest, now that I’ve dabbled in some niche fragrances, I wish I woulda skipped about 100 and gone right to Terenzi and some others I’ve become fond of. I have some really good memories associated with Fierce and Legend at a point where my life was changing, but if not for that, I may just give someone those fragrances now that I’ve splurged on this gem. I would definitely recommend this luxurious take on the genre.

Yes, it resembles the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and to a lesser extent Fierce (imagine 70% - 30% mix). Obviously, it is an unfair comparison: the above two frags are designer while Paolo is working with a different budget. Very Italian, citrus-floral-aromatic-slightly woody with a pinch of ozonic and slightly airy salty accord. High quality, no chemical overload here, very natural smelling. Not very original, due to the above resemblance but very nice, easy to wear, likable scent. Great performance, unlike current formulations of the two above. So if you like D&G Light Blue and Fierce, blind buy safe. If not, you still might like this but try first.This also reminds me of Percival but I strongly prefer Foconero to the above, really. :)

This is a bergamot/lime bomb in the opening, with a subtle hint of oakmoss, wood, the citrus notes last through the dry down, usually citrus notes are volatile and gone within minutes, so I'm not sure how Terenzi did it, the bergamot and lime from this one last forever in beast mode. There's also a little bit of floral in the dry down. This is a fresh and sexy scent. I will be wearing this in warmer Spring and Summer, very good projection, sillage and longevity too! Unisex for certain. If you're tired of all those synthetic and chemical-smelling designer summer fragrances out there, give this one a try. This is a Ferrari of a summer scent, definitely high-quality stuff, the price is approachable at discounters.

To my amateur nose, this smells like salty and tart lemon/limeade with touch of woody notes for added depth. First thing that comes to my mind is "beach". Best for summer daytime use. Projects nicely and is very long lasting. Edit: Sprayed at the back of both ear, one back of the neck and one on the collarbone Projection is 1 feet. Dies and becomes skin scent after an hour or two at most Longevity is 10+ hours Temperature is 30c Scent: 4/5 (limeade!!) Imagine A&F Fierce being a playboy who parties all the time and wakes up next to a new girl every night. Then one day he wakes up and thinks to himself, "what the hell am I doing with my life?" He gets himself together, starts a successful business, and becomes extraordinarily wealthy. He dresses expensive, yet understated. Although he's more mature and sophisticated, he still has much of his youthful charm. This young man is Foconero.

Wow! I'm lovin' it. Smells like "The Original" Fierce just on steroids. What can I say, this is an amazing fragrance. You have beautiful and very natural lime, does not come across synthetic at all. Added to the natural lime, you get saltiness, and woods. This very Italian in my opinion, very easy to wear. Projects nicely and long lasting. Slow and smooth transition of notes. Best for Summer Daytime use!

Just picked this one up. Great citrus fragrance, heavy on the lemon and lime, citrus projets 1-2 hours but still present through mid. Juniper and thyme readily picked up and present throughout the life of the fragrance. Saltiness and aquatic notes pleasing and not overly synthetic. Lighter base notes. Looking forward to wearing this one in the summer. 9/10

So glad i didn’t listen to negative reviews smell amazing & exactly how I wanted it too similar to Fierce mixed with Vodka on the rocks. Top notch citruses used with nice aromatics this is just a amazing freshie with great longevity & moderate/ heavy silage. Not very unique but man it smells good to my nose can also be found for great prices

Man this stuff is amazing! Obviously compared to Legend/Fierce, but this is a step up. It opens more citrusy and just smells very natural. Very good quality! I sprayed Legend on my right hand and Foconero on the left, and Legend starts with a strong alcohol smell and is not as fresh as Foconero. Foconero is als smoother.

I dont know what contains this parfum, but they seized it at the airport control for no clear reason. Goodbye my short loved friend ;(. Perfect fragrance for in the summer heat, for those very hot days where you usually would not like to wear fragrance on. Smells very natural with almost no synthetics.

I Just Received my bottle, it was a blind buy. the smell is Great and Luxurious and calming in the hot weather (high end quality floral citrus mixed with sea breeze, Sadly I'm the only one who can smell it..i work in an office..it's subtle sad to say

Guys, this smells like Sprite with ice on a hot sunny day by the sea. Easy explanation. Good freshy, I wear the heck out of it! Just positive reactions.. No piss thing no nothing but sweet lime soda with a splash of sea salt 😁

Such a solid summer fragrance with great performance. It works very well in the office too. I dont see that being inspired by other fragrances is an issue, as long you have the element of the performance giving you an edge.

To me Foconero smells like Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve on steroids. A little less blue, a little more airy, with a touch of Millesime Imperial. It's very long lasting to be a fresh fragrance. 9/10

Beautiful realistic salty lime opening + mid and a lovely transition to a green woody base. p.s., Try layering this with with Amouage Reflection man and thank me later 😮💨

Fresh , salty perfume very similar to pdm , excellent sillage , last for 7 hours , recommend to anyone as it a safe fragrance. Overall 8/10
