Gumin

This is an amazing achievement in perfumery. Gumin is fresh, fruity and ozonic but is also regal and incredibly versatile, is delicate but also masculine, specially in the dry down, where it transforms in to this gorgeous musky, woody skin scent that is totally adicting, can’t stop smelling my hand after I put it on. From the beginning to the very end is a true masterpiece. The silage is fantastic( I am also a generous sprayer) and the longevity on my skin is way past the 12hs, even after I shower.

I am so far an incredible fan of this perfume line. Every one that I have tested so far has won my heart. Gumin is no exception. At first spray the citrus and pineapple shines settling into the bergamot with a faint tell tale sign of the rich elegance of oud. Once the citrus settles the Oud comes forward with a subtle note of the jasmine and musk. Such a well blended fragrance. And so important to me its lastability...I was still smelling the deliciousness 5 hours later. Nicely done.

Gumin, for me, is a masterpiece. I don't detect the pineapple but, more profoundly, the soft citruses, powdery violet, and ozonic opening followed by amber on a base of oud, sandalwood, and birch. In terms of longevity, it lasted the entire afternoon and remained detectable but soft into the early evening. A regal, complex scent that exudes class.

It starts similar to SMW and Mefisto but if you try them all together, you will see that they have differences. This one is a bit stronger and has a prominent pineapple note, something that is missing from the other two. I like it and i will buy it although i have SMW and Mefisto. I prefer it from Mefisto anyway.

Wow. One of the longlasting citrus parfumes on market. Still detected day after. So beautifull. Best TT for sure. Just buy it and enjoy. Batch 2023 btw. Smell 10/10 Presentation 10/10 Performances 8/10 Compliments 10/10 Versatility 10/10 Price 5/10 Overal 8.5/10

At this price you would expect something exceptional. No!

I wouldn’t have guessed a single note of this just by smelling. Pineapple? Orange? Flowers? Are you kidding me? This cannot be true. It’s definitely a synergy – a picture you cannot pick apart to basic colors. I perceive it as a unisex summery fragrance, it has something about it that smells like salty sea breeze, with a touch of iodine, and dry towels bleached in the sun, with tiny pieces of seaweed stuck in the pile. It communicates relaxed feeling and invites you to listen to your body: enjoy smells, sounds, and physical sensations while being lazy like a cat on a window sill. At the same time, it has a fresh and invigorating side. Yes, this is a beach. Apparently, “Gumin” is a diminutive from Guglielmo – the name of the house’s founding father to whom the scent is dedicated, but maybe also a word play on “gamine,” so it’s either a calm and caring masculinity or cheeky and confident femininity – take your pick. Yet I like to think that it’s a name of some mythical youth who lives in the cave by the sea, dives for pearls, and collects seashells.

This is Tiziana Terenzi’s answer to Bal D’Afrique. The bergamot is strong. The scent is a lot brighter and greener/mossier than the original fragrance, Debaser, or the Oakcha dupe. My first time trying it, I perceived it to be a lot more floral. The fruity quality reminded me of Cloud Pink by Ariana Grande. I was gonna pass because I feel like we’ve had a lot of these bright fruity florals that are basically, much as I love them, Pink Me Up by AdO flankers (eg Moondance - LoveShackFancy). But the musk really came through and I was convinced that l, atleast, liked it. Now that I’ve had more time with it, I recognize that I, not only, have the scent profile in my collection, but that I have also sampled this scent profile three times now. If a dupe house gets a hold of a scent profile and it wasn’t already doing numbers for you, let it go-we know and we’re not paying for it. Wrap it up.

I think this is straight SMW and mefisto mix.. the opening is way smoother and bit sweeter than both, but when it dries down you can smell the quality citruses which are bit sour but realistic.. and then we have basically silver mountain water and mefisto /gentluomo more imo. Good smell nice perfume and maybe a tiny bit smoother then the other ones but that’s my taste since I’ve those other two as well and I will keep them, because..... PRICE! Come on I can find my smw and mefisto 100ML around 160€ But this is the double almost .. definitely not worth the money, altouhj the performance is bit better on this one but does not project so still not convinced. Maybe one day but now I don’t think it’s worth it.. but nice smell: fruity, bit sweet and dark woody base (you don’t notice that much).. and the tea note as well

A Polite and Correct Citrus-Powder Blend. When I first encountered Gumin fragrance, I was intrigued by the promise of a citrus and pineapple combination, with a touch of powder. Unfortunately, I didn't detect any trace of pineapple, which was a bit disappointing. However, the fragrance does have its own unique charm. The muskiness gives the fragrance a depth and richness that is intriguing and alluring. However, it also makes the scent feel a bit heavy for summer wear, lacking the lightness and freshness . It will be good for formal and official settings.

Their take on Creed Silver Mountain Water, basically SMW on steroid. More citrusy less sharp/metallic smells. Last around 8 hours. Great stuff if you don't mind the price tag

Like @Habibi79, I don't detect pineapple, I get all orange at the top, and it doesn't fade in the mid. It is also one of the most realistic orange/orange juice notes I've ever smelled in a fragrance. There's just enough musk and just enough of the other notes to give it some nuance and make it smell like a fragrance, but on first (and second, and third haha) sniff, it smells like you've been eating one of those orange popsicles in the sun and it has started to melt and stick to your hands like when you were a kid. It is so bright and so juicy - a summer gourmand. It smells like a drink that your dentist would kill you for drinking. Up close, you can start to detect the florals and other notes, but in the air, it is almost all citrus, all of the time. Some TT fragrances can be harsh and sharp, and to be fair, this could be too. You have to go easy on the sprays in terms of number and where you spray it. Too many, and too close to your nose and you'll be sick of it before anybody else has even had a chance. But spray just enough in just the right places, every few minutes you'll get this moment of "mmmm, what is that smell of a tall cold glass of sparkling orange juice on a hot day? Oh yeah - me!" At first I voted this as a spring/summer and daytime fragrance, but now, trying it in the winter, all I can smell and think of is summer. This is a strong (I can't speak on longevity as this is a test, but in terms of sillage it is way closer to 'strong' than 'moderate') and unisex fragrance, but if you're a guy it comes across playful and youthful so it is a very casual scent and not a summer to the office fragrance. Definitely an outdoor scent on a warm-to-hot day, where the breeze picks it up and anybody near you is gonna catch a waft of it and smile.

Gumin is a bit fresh, a bit zesty, a hint musky and a whisper of clean agar wood oud. A slightly metallic and ozonic cleanliness runs through and comes across stronger than the oud note, but I suspect that part of the magic in the fragrance is actually the interplay between the oud and these metallic and zingy notes, and the transition to this harmony as the citrus burns through. The citrus has a remarkably long lasting duration considering these are typically top notes, I would not be surprised to learn there may be an unlisted ingredient like elemi or citropol doing some of that work here. It is easy to wear, inoffensive, and as such, bores me terribly. I can tell right away by first smell that this scent will fit right in multiple scenarios, such as the office or a day out in the city. I would never spend hundreds of dollars on the kind of fresh zesty scent that can be found anywhere in any store, although the zingy metallic and ozonic notes just might pull through as differentiated enough for some enough to make the purchase. As it dries down there is a slight soapiness that develops, in reality it was always there from the beginning, creating a kind of confusing thickness in the citrus that you can't quite put your finger on until the dry down begins. Soapy citrus ozone. You've smelled it before, but maybe not with a hint of oud. Not revolutionary due to the mild dosage. Soft pass from me, but I don't like citrus fragrances so pardon my negative bias. I rate it very neutrally, as slightly more interesting than a 100% generic blue.

Very pineapple heavy. It smells quite unique if maybe a newbie in perfumery is smelling it, but already very familiar and mainstream in niche realm. In a way I get some resemblance to grooming products like shampoos, shower gels, hairsprays. Yes, it definitely has some sort of a hairspray scent similarity. That chemical aspect of it at least. I could have guessed this includes a mineral note, but it is not mentioned, so it is probably pineapple and ozonic quality giving impression of it. Not getting too much into details - as fun as it is to break it down and analyze - this is annoying. It fills the entire room, hard to wash away, it's not subtle and elegant in the least. It's not something I would find beautiful on others too.

This is a difficult one for me. Not horrible smelling more something in here doesn’t agree and burns my nose giving me a head ache straight in the centre of forehead.... A sharp white note. Not sure if it’s the ozone note or the musks. I had a similar experience with MFK Aqua Universalis Forte.... Other than that crackling whiteness I get powdery citrus that reminds me of the taste (yes) of the orange tooth paste used when seeing a dental hygienist (this is a childhood smell memory) almost like powdered orange tic tacs (I love those) a salty note and something like a fig leaf, not much else. That whiteness...kind of kills any other notes for me. I’ve tried in heat and in winter. Somewhat better in summer. But sadly not for me. My decant is 2016 batch. Note smells really lovely in a breeze. Might try again later but worn further down the body

This smells nothing like Mefisto, SMW or Aventus IMO. SMW and Mefisto are all about currant and tea. Those are notably absent in this one. I was able to smell this at the Dubai duty free a few weeks ago and it really smells nothing like any of the above mentioned scents. Like, not at all. I wasn't wowed by it like I was by Laudano Nero. That one is the one to own from the brand IMO. They are completely different, but LN is in a class of its own. I feel like this one doesn't have much of an identity in comparison to the ones it is being compared to. I didn't wear it, only smelled it on the test strip but I did keep the test strip and it did evolve a bit after it dried, but I still wouldn't purchase it.
