Sirrah

There's just something about this perfume that just makes it airy and ozonic. Geza Schoen is another nose that is able to execute that quite perfectly, but this one has this character to a much higher and different degree. I don't think it is fair to compare the two, since maestro Schoen would never release anything like this, yet here I am spewing my drivel. I can tell that this perfume is BIG and projects, yet it is not heavy at all. One spray is all you need. Heed my words. Light, airy, dark berry-like and bright tropical fruit compote, slightly green. No leather, no woods. 'Fruity mountain air' is a rather fitting olfactory description. It is fruit centric no doubt, far from being overly 'bubblegum pink girly'. The scent is..happy is the best word I can conjure. The scent comes in quite loud then disappears in a whim, intermittently. It's fascinating. Although it does lean feminine a tad bit in the traditional sense, a man can pull this off casually and I guarantee you the fragrance police would not stop you to check your credentials. In short, I love what this is designed to do: to give a youthful upbeat spirit meant to instill happiness to you and those around you. Powerful and projecting, yet it feels as if it has no weight to it. It comes to surprise you then leaves again and again, almost as if it knows not to pester you with its big muscles and undersized pink polo. Would be perfect to wear during a tropical vacation, a celebratory formal event, or for a casual event on a hot summer day. There is nothing stopping anyone from wearing it in a professional setting, but might I suggest introducing oneself with the words "Hi, I'm ----. Please take me seriously."

Testing this on skin...This smells soooo good. The passion fruit reminds me of a woman's freshly washed hair right after a shower 🚿. I don't get any at all bell peppers at all which I was looking forward to. Basically I get tons of passion fruit, mountain air, fresh rose, and osmanthus. To a lesser extent I also get clean musk. Perfect for warm weather. Leans heavily feminine so I wouldn't wear this, but it would be great on a woman. Scent 7.5/10 Performance 7.5/10.

Very close to Xerjoff more than words and Erba Pura Sospiro. You'll be smelling like an expensive fruit salad(don't know why I wrote this). I imagine this on some plus size beautiful lady who's 30 or above and has a very lavish lifestyle.

Easily the best fruity perfume ive ever smelled %90 FRUIT (with bunch of deepness with other notes) %10 FRESHNESS (Mountain Air note) Sandalwood at the bottom makes it so beautiful and creamy

A luscious powdery Oriental gourmand, this is yet another overwhelming olfactory offering from the over the top Tiziana Terenzi. The perfume opens on a juicy passion fruit note which is surrounded by hints of saffron, pepper and quince fruit. The heart is a dense powdery amber surrounded. By hints of rose, cardamom and osmanthus. The perfume settles on an even more powdery base of sandalwood and patchouli surrounded by leather, birch and synthetic musk. The overall feeling is like being in an exotic and laden fruit orchard on a cool Spring day. Feminine leaning with enormous sillage, projection and longevity. Please use caution on that spray button. Enjoy!

Sirrah is like Godolphin from PDM with a fruity twist, the rubbery leather note is predominant on this one though, very sweet, and a bit floral. If you're not into leather fragrance you ain't going to like this, and if you like Godolphin, you probably would dig Sirrah. Not a safe blind buy and definitely not your typical mass-appealing type fragrance, it's very far from designers.

I don't get any of the fruitiness that is touted - instead I get a dirty rose which I attribute to the patchouli. I wouldn't call this a safe blind buy at all.

This is a hard no for me. I guess I was expecting something much sweeter and for me, there is nothing sweet about this. It does resemble Erba Pura for sure and EP is also a fragrance that while I know is insanely popular, it just doesn't work for me. Both of these smell like cleaning products to me. It's weird...for the longest time, I was sure that I just hated floral scents. I avoided them at all cost. But when I go back and look at my favorite fragrances, they are all florals. I went through a 'citrus' phase and a 'cozy/smoky' phase, but I keep coming back to florals. A big reason I was excited to try Sirrah was how you all had rated its silage and longevity. But again, for me, it was a skin scent that disappeared quickly. I must have some weird dna or something because I have the strangest taste in fragrance. Two of my all-time favorites are Hiris by Hermes and Meliora by PDM and those could not be farther apart on the fragrance spectrum. Guess I'm just a weirdo.

Drydown on me smells like Creed Aventus. Big no no. Beware before trying, it's been 24h and 3 showers, and it still hasn't come off my wrist. Don't spray near clothes.

For over a year, I’ve sampled Frederic Malle’s “The Moon” which has been a delight to wear. If I needed a pick me up—feel better about myself, a spray or two of the Moon will do the trick. FM’s the Moon will instantly change your life. But let’s be honest... That price tag though. I have a hard time pulling the trigger on an overly expensive fragrance (although it would be worth it). So, I searched for something similar with a better price tag. In walked Sirrah. Sirrah isn’t exactly like FM’s the Moon but it’s in the right neighborhood. Whereas the Moon is very warm, loud but easy to wear Sirrah goes in a completely different direction with a kind of chilly air vibe. Of course this probably come from the mountain air note. I am guessing this must be synthetic and based on ambergris. Thankfully, I like ambergris. Paola Terenzi did a fantastic job capturing the feeling of mountain air. I love this fragrance for what it is trying to accomplish. It is a masterful creation that reminds me of start gazing in the mountains on chilly night. However, Sirrah is not for the faint of heart, this is not a beginner fragrance, and it lasts forever. Like forever and ever. Like once it is sprayed the fragrance unapologetically exist and wants the world to know of its existence also. With Sirrah, you have to put on your big boy or girl pants to wear this or it will wear you like an oversized suit before discarding you with all the other losers. On my skin the first 30 minutes are pure magic. There is definitely the feeling of wearing FM’s the Moon but with a slight twist. Instead of the raspberries and berries in Moon, Sirrah gives you what feels to my nose as standing next to someone who is cutting up a bunch of different fruit (a bunch of fruit). Maybe the smell of freshly cut fruits are one of the many smells caught in the air. After the first 30 minutes maybe up to an hour, when Sirrah calms down, it is trying to find its identity as the earthy notes start to take center stage. The fragrance takes on a change as the stars rise into the sky after the first hour. On my skin, when Sirrah eases into it’s twilight hour, I get a whole lot of saffron, a whole lot of ambergris, balanced out by a soft chilled rose, sandle woods, and a musk that is to die for. However, I didn’t realize that the wearing of Sirrah was a kin to running a marathon. Somewhere around the 5 hour mark, maybe sooner, Sirrah becomes distant if you’re not moving around. Like stars, you know they are there because you see them (stars) if you look up. If you don’t look up you can forget about the stars as they fade into your background. At this point, and for the next few hours Sirrah again is magic. Somewhere around the 12 hour mark Sirrah wants you to remember that it is still in your home, sitting on the couch, with it’s feet up on the table as Sirah comes back to life. On my skin at this point, Sirrah is annoyingly synthetic with an overdose of saffron and ambergris (or whatever the accord is that is coming across as ambergris). Insomuch as Sirrah still smells good it is just too much at the moment. You almost need Sirah to fade away—for the sun to rise on this fragrance. At or around 17 hours Sirrah finally settles down into its final stage. It is sitting very close to the skin and with a sniff of my wrist to try and locate the remains, I thought about green peppers. Very faint and very beautiful and creamy. All in all, if not for its staying power within the 10 to 12 hour mark, Sirrah would be a 10 out of 10 fragrance. Because it does become overbearing for awhile Sirrah has a very strong 9 rating.

The perfume, a blend of passion fruit and quince scents, is delicious enough, but for some reason, they added green bell pepper. The pepper scent is subtly distant, but it's there. If I hadn't checked the ingredients, I probably wouldn't have noticed the bell pepper scent. It's like the smell of a beautiful, varied fruit platter or the hand of someone who cut those fruits. I didn't notice any cardamom or leather notes, but if I'm a good person, maybe I'll detect them. It's one of Terenzi's lesser-known fragrances, but I prefer it to Kirke.

From the Tiziana Terenzi site: Top Notes - saffron, green peppercorn, quince, passionfruit. Middle - osmanthus, cardamom, Oxygen molecule (apparently a TT trademark), rose and amber. Base - birch, sandalwood, patchouli, leather and white musk.
