Touch

ADORE this perfume and (like the original to touch Oil Emmollient) and the Touch Solid Perfume) it has been discontinued yet again! (I think they had it from 1999 to 2006 then from 2007 to now). Am reduced to buying online from as far away as Sweden and Australia to supplement my dwidling supplies :( ). xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Loved the original solid creamy Touch. Couldn't wait to own this gorgeous bottle and was oh, so disappointed that after numerous attempts at love--we are just not made for each other. My skin hates Touch or Touch hates my skin. Not sure, all I know is the horrible, bitter, burnt overtones are too much for me. I simply can't deal anymore...Touch, you are a looker, but sometimes looks aren't everything. Bye, bye.

So far I have yet to dislike any of the Tocca fragrances...although not my favorite (florence is) I do enjoy it...I've been wanting to get my hands on this and thanks to Carnelian I have a sample of it...and I love the powdery/floral light scent that reminds me of what I think of like 1700's or so...my friend Dark Curls says it smells kinda nutty on me...like nuts...like nuts are a bad thing...:)

I really like the Tocca line - even the scents that aren't "me" still smell good. This one is no exception; it's a lovely, powdery, light green floral. On me, it smells very similar to Anais Anais, but less synthetic. Great for spring/daytime.

I recently found a bottle of this and had this since it came out but it didn't suit me. I placed it for sale on Mercari because I wanted someone else to enjoy it. The bottle is heavy glass and quite beautiful. I found it to be too powdery for me though and stashed it away. I hope her new owner really enjoys it!

I don't understand the sweet floral smells everyone is saying.. it's like a burnt musky scent to me ):

This one seems to evoke everything from "light green floral" to "burnt notes" to "creamy" to "heavy" to "white floral . . ." no, not on me at least. This is quite an unusual perfume, from a company that seems to focus on crowd-pleasing, sweet, conventional femme scents in swoon-worthy femme bottles. Touch by Tocca opens with a juicy, zesty, almost tangy, spiced pomegranate note--a lovely open, but for someone who is expecting the bergamot and pink-pepper snoozefest that opens 90% of feminine mass-market scents nowadays, it is unexpected. "Ah," you think, "Gonna be another fruity floral . . ." Er, no. Not even close. Then you have some lovely but standard-offering white flowers--the tiare is a nice twist-- but hang on, they aren't just white flowers. I don't know what "Egyptian balsam" is exactly, but oh baby. Does it sing. It permeates the entire composition, rendering it three-dimensional, spicy and sweetly narcotic. There is no way this balsam should work with the tenacious pomegranate note. It works perfectly. (For the people who aren't a fan of this, well, yeah: a juicy tart red fruit fencing with an exotic Oriental balsam will mess with your head. It's not a kind of opulence one sees every day. I have hundreds of perfumes in my collection and I can confidently say nothing else I own is like this. Still, though it is unusual, it is easily and completely wearable, if your skin "gets it." Now, your Auntie Perfumatrix has been a hard-core vintage and niche perfume collector for three decades (I started young! I'm only 39, I swear!) But I picked Touch by Tocca as my wedding perfume. That tells you all you need to know about just how good this white-floral-fruity-balsamic chameleon is. Why? Because it is elegant yet playful, sensual but not your standard "sexy" scent, a bit mysterious and unusual without being hard-to-wear. And yeah, that bottle, with the elaborately-carved nature motif on the solid metal cap and the heavy curved glass! If you see it for a good price anywhere, get it. Hell, if you see it for a BAD price anywhere, get it . . . or PM me!!!!!!! Cheers, Friends.

I have coveted the gorgeously heavy bottle for my dressing table for an absolute age, and thus the disappointment of First Sniff was even more heartfelt. My skin absolutely hates all Tocca perfumes, in an immediate - must go and scrub myself clean of all traces - way that I have rarely, if ever, experienced. I'm not sure what it is, but from the first spray I get a huge whiff of a raw animalistic urine scent! This quickly turns into roses drowned in vinegar, with a sort of soy sauce background. As you may imagine, this is not what I am searching for in a perfume, so I shall have to continue admiring the lovely bottles from afar, being careful never to lift the lids...

The pomengranate sweetens it a bit but to me it is primarily about the flowers. At first application, it kinda smells like hair-spray but that is gone within a few minutes. The jasmine and tiare flowers are the main notes I smell, yet, close to the skin, the sandalwood appears. I find this fragrance more enjoyable as it wears and softens.

I am trying the whole Tocca collection, because I want that beautiful bottle so bad! This one starts out sweet and then turns into a classic white floral. If you like florals this could be for you. After a long while it turns out sweeter and interesting. But that last period is very low and not worth the wait it you not into florals.

Heavy on first application but the dry down is very beautiful. I'm not a heavy floral fan and yet...It takes me to a sweet garden on a lovely summer morning.

Pretty sure I saw this available in candle form at Sephora.com. Touch was available for purchase only as a candle and only online, but they had it.

If anyone knows where I still can get this, please let me know :) One of my all time fave florals :) Miss it so much x
