Oud Minérale (2023)

I just love this fragrance. I see why some people don't like it and that's totally fine because on my skin and to my nose, this is so versatile and photorealistic. The opening takes a minute to get get used to, but the dry woods with gentle salty and aquatic dry down is just beautiful. This is an ocean scent, but not some tropical vacation coconut candy bullshit for kids. No, this is the winter ocean on the coast of the Pacific northwest of America. A place where rocky cliffs covered in gigantic sitka spruce and hemlock trees meet a dark and unpredictable Pacific ocean. It's walking along the dark grey sandy beach in the rain somewhere near la push, at the tip of the Olympic peninsula while sun light rapidly fades and the sea shatters through rocky seastacks out in the surf. This is a fragrance for men, with mystery, power and anticipation of some adventure or task ahead. It's the smell of driftwood and a cabin fireplace while drying off and getting ready to hike into the hoh rain forest the following morning. It's the smell of my grandfather, a remarkable mountain climber, pulling me out of the cold ocean after a unseen dark wave wrapped around my ankles in the surf and tripped my feet out beneath me. His strong hands grabbing my forearm in the dark as a sequence of waves began dragging me out, further towards the cold, violent sea with frothy waves that reached out to me like the becoming call of death's claws. It's the smell I remember as I was staring at the wood burning stove in a small beach side cabin while trying to process what had just happened and whether I was too shaken to continue on towards our mission of reaching the blue glacier on mount Olympus. I was 14 and this fragrance takes me back to those forgotten days when my grandfather would show me amazing places of raw nature during the weekend. Places like temperate rainforests with epiphytes that clung tightly to massive trees that towered above us, and inspiring mountain passes where waterfalls sprang from cliffsides as though the snow-capped mountains that towered above enchanted valleys were the sides of gigantic reservoirs that had sprung leaks. The trips into Olympic national park, the Cascades, Mt Rainier, etc. would fuel my curiosity and set me on a course to chase that sense of awe throughout my life. This is the smell of real masculinity that doesn't need to be violent or offensive, doesn't need to fit in or meet others expectations. It's unassuming, reliable, and willing to do what's needed in the moments that matter.

🚨READ EDIT BELOW🚨 Hear me out...I don't hate it, but I don't love it as much as the previous blend. The older formula smelled natural and very realistic to salty/marine beachside living. I adored the decant I had, I strongly regret not buying the original one a couple years ago :/ This formula has a strong opening that later transitions into what initially resembles the smell of a hospital glove which I'm assuming it's the mix of Seaweed and Pepperwood combined that gives the first couple minutes that nuance. I remember I wore Megamare to a friend's wedding; It was 30 minutes after I had sprayed it and my friend told me I smelled of strong hospital equipment, while others didn't pick up that hospital scent profile but NOW I understand what he meant by it, but on Oud Minerale. The opening surprisingly smells very boozy, like a strong woody whisky in a glass infused with a strong salty oud. Smells manly af but STRONG AF!! Then after 3 minutes it turns into the hospital glove/equipment smell. When it dries down it does get better but still doesn't come off as beautiful as the OG formula :( Still nice to have in my collection nonetheless. This is a 6.5/10 so far. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I more than likely need to wear this in the summertime so the heat can break down the notes a bit better or I also need to allow it to macerate a bit more. I'll update this review in the summertime to let everyone know if it gets better over time! EDIT AFTER 30 MINUTES OF WEARING: I take everything back. As soon as I stepped outside and got a breath of fresh air, the notes broke down beautifully in my nose. The hospital glove smell went away, then it was nothing but woody marine greatness soon after!!! This is definitely going to be a summer banger for me! My girl told me I smelled amazing. Then a couple minutes later my brother said it smelled amazing as well and he's is already looking into getting himself a bottle as well. All of that after a 30-minute wearing lol This is why judging & bashing a fragrance immediately after a quick wearing should not be trusted. Give a fragrance some time, and it'll show itself to you. NEW RATING: 9/10.

Tom Ford Oud Minerale. Right, let’s cut to the chase... Oud Minerale is a polarizing fragrance. There is no middle road for this fragrance, you either hate this with a passion or you love it so much it becomes an obsession! I fall in the latter and ever since I first smelt it in 2017, I was instantly hooked but I held back because of its high price tag. Thankfully Oud Minerale is now in the signature collection, and you don’t need to fork out a minimum of 500Euros to get a bottle of the private collection. Has the formula changed from the private collection to the signature? I don’t know, but what I do know is that this edition is simply a unique aquatic beast that has me floored every time I wear it. The first thing I notice when I spray Oud Minerale on my skin is how fresh it is. You would think that this is just a summer banger, but this wears incredibly beautifully in the cold season thanks to the silver fir balsam. This is the note that makes it different from every other aquatic fragrance out there. Yes, this has a strong marine accord that smells of seagrass but the added pink pepper, styrax and oud accord elevate Oud Minerale to a completely different marine fragrance. Do you need to get Oud Minerale if you already own Megamare, Black Sea or Acqua di Sale. Let me be honest Oud Minerale does fall in the same ball park of these giants but that refreshing fir balsam note cannot be found in any of those three and this is where Oud Minerale is on another level. They might have fresh notes in them, but they are missing that special fir note that is incredibly addictive and beautiful. On paper and skin Oud Minerale is not the same fragrance, neither will it be on people’s skin. One spray on my arm lasted a whopping 12 hours and stayed a skin scent for nearly 24 hours. No issues of longevity or performance with my bottle ( batch A63) I am honestly over the moon with this release, and I consider this to be among one of the best releases by Tom Ford along with Ombre Leather EDP. This is what I consider a bonafide aquatic Masterpiece.

Alright, I gotta talk about this one real quick. I recently got my hands on a full bottle of Oud Minerale after falling hard for a decant I’d been nursing for way too long. From the first time I sampled it, I was hooked. It was just so different—a fresh aquatic that skips all the usual citrusy top notes and goes straight for something moodier, more textured. So when the chance came to scoop a bottle, I pounced. This one doesn’t smell like the beach. It smells like a freshwater shoreline—where lake water laps against stone, and there’s this damp, mineral-rich air. That’s the best way I can describe the opening: seaweed and salt meets pink pepper and some crisp mineral bite. Almost like wet rock warmed just slightly by the sun, but the sun’s hiding behind clouds. In the heart, there’s that signature oud note, but it’s not loud or animalic—it’s surprisingly restrained, playing nicely with smoky incense and styrax to add depth. Still, it never loses that clean, aquatic undercurrent. It’s marine, yeah, but it leans more forest-lake than ocean. Which is part of why I love it so much. The drydown brings out smooth woods—mostly cedar—and that same mineral vibe lingers underneath. No ambrette here like I originally thought, but it still has a soft, skin-hugging finish that keeps it grounded. It’s complex, but super wearable. And speaking of wearability: I actually love this in the summer. It cuts through heat with this fresh, almost cooling sensation, and it’s different enough to stand out from the sea of citrus bombs and blue clones. Performance has been solid so far—around 7 hours on me with a gentle projection that still gets noticed. If you're into scents that do their own thing and don’t rely on the usual tropes, this one’s worth checking out. It's fresh, mineral, quietly bold—and just weird enough to stay interesting without ever being hard to wear.

This is my first Tom Ford cologne. Let me preface by saying this, I have plenty of fragrances covering a range of different scent categories (fresh, aquatic, sweet, boozy, woodsy, citrusy, fruity, etc.) and aquatic has to be my go-to IF I can find one that pulls it off well. I have been intrigued by this scent ever since I first smelled it, have bought about 25+ fragrances since that first smell and always came back to test it out again. Here, today, I have finally pulled the trigger and went for it. The first (and favorite of all-time) for me was Invictus Legend (RIP). It reminds me a lot of the oceanside BUT with sweet beverages on the table next to you. Definitely a more youthful and playful scent. Oud Minerale though... is very mature. It's like walking down a beach during the sunset with a moderate tide, dragging seaweed and shells up to the water's edge. Very natural once it dries down a bit as it is a little harsh on the opening with a strong mineral scent (which is welcome to my nose). I grew up in the Central Coast of California and this just brings me back to those memories of walking the beach, down to the T. All-in-all, it's a very beautiful, accurate, natural, and unique scent. I can get why some might not like it due to the strong mineral opening, and you aren't able to get a good, full understanding of how the scent acts inside of a store for a couple of minutes. It may not harken back to the same memories for others as they may not have that sort of exposure, and I think that's why some don't like it - and well, Tom Ford is generally overpriced. This is a very unique scent though.

This is an amazing fragrance if you like unique fragrances that integrate Oud and aquatic vibes. It does not smell anything like Aqua di Gio or Cool Water, though. Look at the notes – it smells exactly like it is described.There is a mineral, salty, woody, sea water, balsam fir, and even a little scent that to my nose is like boat motor exhaust—weird I know. Think Dior Fahrenheit—and yet somehow it works. It reminds me of being on a boat in the open air out on the sea in the sun and feeling carefree.I actually get quite a few compliments on this; most are about how unique it smells. The Oud pops at first, but in air the sillage is aquatic and intoxicating. Tom Ford moved this from his expensive private blend into the signature line for a reason – it’s quite popular and loved. There’s a lot of people who adore this scent. And I know it’s not for everyone, so go into a mall or a Sephora and give it a try on your skin and see how it works with your chemistry. Be patient though. It’s not a typical designer/mall fragrance. It’s not Aventus or Eros. Yet I wear this way more than I ever thought I would. I spray this in the crux of my elbow and on my wrists so I can smell it on myself throughout the day. I love it so much. It has become one of my go-to fragrances for both hot and cold weather. It really is an amazing all year round scent, especially for something that is marine and aquatic. I can see how some people may not like this. But I would compare to something like Dior Fahrenheit—not the scent but the vibe. It is really loved by many people and hated by a few. That’s okay.

Tom Ford Oud Minérale is the most recent acquisition in my collection while also being one of the most daring fragrances i own. This is either a love/hate type of fragrance and it most definitely falls into the love category from my experience. The perfume opens with an aromatic salty marine accord with a hint of oud in the background. It remains quite linear in its life lifespan and is reminiscent of an oceanic experience. The most daring aspects of Oud Minérale are the notes of oud and seaweed. The seaweed note may invoke a "fishy" or extremely "salty" accord which may be a deterrent for others , however, the oud isn't nearly as pungent as one may assume. Both of these are a welcome for me. I received outstanding performance from this, easily getting me through an entire workday and then some while leaving an intoxicating, aromatic, and aquatic accord in my presence. This will easily get one noticed and make a statement while being versatile enough to be a signature scent for a guy. I would recommend this as a "try before you buy" as it is quite daring as previously mentioned. Also, it leans masculine despite being labeled as feminine. If you're looking for a realistic oceanic experience and a bold signature scent then this may be the right fragrance for your olfactory needs!

my bottle arrived yesterday, and as soon as I sprayed it on myself I immediately realized what it reminded me of - Rien Intense Incense by Etat Libre d'Orange. both scents have this identical smell of seaweed and some small sea creatures. only Rien's seaweed is a little sweeter and a little milky. the difference is this - TF can be worn, Rien Intense Incense Etat by Libre d'Orange is a completely inappropriate scent, well, unless you play Neptune in a school play :D I can't even imagine who this scent is for. TF Oud Minerale is more wearable, it doesn't smell like rotting seaweed, it's a strange but completely wearable scent, if you want to stand out from the crowdof boys, just smell like it! :) we need to wait for warm weather, let's see how everything sounds then :) and also, TF OM has some similarities with Serge Lutens "Dans Le Bleu Qui Pétille" but without that hot burning sun feeling that is in this Lutens perfume. I like OM, it's strange, good, it sets you apart from the rest.and the most important thing with this juice is - don't get too close, the smell is repulsive, this perfume creates a miracle in the air, mixing with the environment. greetings fro Lithuania good smelling people! :)

Wore Tom Ford Oud Minéral and it felt like a wave hit me — not just any wave, but one that crashes with icy freshness and leaves behind a subtle, smoky warmth. It opens with a clean, salty marine vibe — crisp, invigorating, almost meditative. But there’s a deeper, slightly mineral darkness underneath that makes it feel more than just an aquatic. Despite the name, you don’t get the usual “oud” profile — there’s no heavy, medicinal woodiness here. Instead, it’s more of a textured, earthy backbone that adds intrigue without overwhelming. This scent doesn’t smell like anything else. It’s not your typical marine, and definitely not your typical oud. It’s like contrast bottled — fresh and warm, clean yet layered, easy to wear but hard to forget. Performance is decent — not loud, but it lingers just enough to get noticed in the best way. The kind of scent someone leans in for, not runs from. Perfect for when you want to feel unique, thoughtful, and just a little mysterious — without trying too hard.

After a couple of sprays of this on the back of my hand, I was seven years old again, bucket in hand, dragging shells out of a rock pool. The saltiness here is the real thing, sharp, mineral, cold. It smells of wet sand and sea shells left to dry in your bucket overnight outside, not a perfumer's approximation of it. The oud arrives quietly underneath, warm and woody, never heavy, and the whole thing settles into something genuinely elegant. At fifty, I've no patience for fragrance that tries too hard. This one doesn't. It simply smells of somewhere real, and somewhere remembered. I'll add that some reviewers below are considerably less charmed by it. With descriptions ranging from wet horse and whale blubber to stale cigar smoke and musty old cabinets. Thankfully I get none of that. Whether that's skin chemistry, luck, or simply a nose shaped by too many seaside holidays, I couldn't say, but for me, it’s that summer signature scent I’ve been looking for. Well worth a try before you buy.

I have been searching for the most realistic marine/oceanic scent that smells and gives the most realistic impression of the sea and this is it, I finally found it. Oud Minérale by Tom Ford is the most accurate fragrance, that truly smells like the ocean. It's ultra briny which gives the fragrance a very strong mineral scent to it and the seaweed also contributes to the mineral and briny notes. The oud creates a very reminicent scent of driftwood which is also smoky and goes very well as a contrast to the saltiness in this bottle. Sillage is very strong, I can detect and smell this on me and on other people as well very easily plus it's also long lasting, which is great. But keep in mind that this is not a safe blind buy at all, you absolutely need to try this before buying it, Oud Minérale is either a love or hate kind of fragrance, since the very realistic notes of the ocean in this bottle can be too strong or off-putting for some individuals.

I'm not gonna lie, the first time I applied it, it smelled like an old dirty port where you wait to grab a boat to go to a Greek island. So my eyebrow got a slight wtf lift... The dry down smells like you've been swimming in the sea and you haven't showered yet. Its a pleasant salty, seaweed-ish, sea water experience. After a couple of hours I found myself smelling my arm constantly and felt a warmth like I'm on vacation. Like I'm on the beach not giving the slightest fuck about my daily routines.. That's the power of a true Tom Ford fragrance, it takes you places, it creates images by resonating with your memories. True artists are never crowd pleasers, they care only for their vision and I'm so up for this! So, this fragrance is definitely not for the folk that is after compliments, but for the few initiated ones that are looking to experience it. 23/4 edit. Finally got my 100ml bottle today, 10/10 best aquatic fragrance with depth by far.

First impression: Warm yet crisp. Like a beach framed by towering conifers and rugged cliffs. The cool sea breeze is immediately apparent, intertwined with the scent of verdant, sappy trees. Later: The ozonic green notes become more pronounced, joined by a growing warmth. Like sun-warmed driftwood resting on the sand – very woody and mineralic. In the drydown, the fragrance turns even warmer and more ambery, with a subtle balsamic quality. The driftwood has spent hours baking in the sun, losing some of its salty character. It's now mostly dry, musky, and lightly sweetened. Overall: Very pleasant and effortlessly unisex. It smells like a clean pirate (I know the two are kinda mutually exclusive, but you get the idea 👀). It's simple and fresh, yet warm and slightly balmy. An excellent everyday fragrance that's broadly appealing. It may be a little too tame for a night out, but it's still undeniably attractive.

During summer vacations, my parents would often bring me to the beach, where I would enjoy a sandwich atop a large ocean rock. This fragrance precisely transported me to that moment, imparting both beach and rainy day ambiances. The oud component presents as woody rather than sweet, and its combination with marine notes renders it truly distinctive. The performance is robust, lasting approximately six hours before gradually transitioning to a skin scent by the eighth hour. Its sillage ensures that individuals in close proximity will detect the fragrance even after six hours. While I appreciate niche perfumes, this particular scent uniquely resonated with me, triggering a profound sense of nostalgia. It is, without reservation, a beautiful fragrance.

Admittedly, the opening may feel a bit funky for those who are not used to smelling oud, especially with the sea salt mix. It definitely isn't a scent for everyone. You either love it, or hate it. And in my case, I adore it. It's extremely realistic, and it really takes you on a journey as the scent develops. At first, it smells like you're on a giant cliff, on your way to the beach. It's very earthy and you get hints of salt hitting your nose once in a while. Then after a couple of hours, you start to smell the aquatics, as if you were getting closer and closer to the ocean. And in the last moments, it transforms into a very classic blue scent. So yeah, very challenging, very complex and extremely artistic. For the price and its composition, it's definitely up there with the niche big boys. Test it before you buy it, please don't blind buy this. You need to be 110% sure.

Worthy of being a signature scent. It's fresh, yet bold. Very intersting scent profile. Opens in such a unique way, think pine trees and sea salt with a slight citrus twist. Dries down into a wonderful mix of marine notes and subtly smoky oud, with a peppery spice in the background. The oud in this scent isn't gross and overbearing like a lot of oud fragrances, but acts as a beautiful, warm counter to the scent's fresh minerality. It's masculine, it's complex, and it's addictive. Honestly, almost smells like you've layered two fragrances when you spray this on. My girl has never complimented a fragrance anywhere near as much as this (except maybe SWY Absolutely, but she did buy me that). Lasts a long time as well, but not overly strong in terms of sillage - people will notice it, but it won't stink out the room. Also, works for any month of the year. 10/10

I own Megamare, and I want to say that it is a safer blind-buy than this. This definitely has that Megamare saltiness and seaweed, although I find this to be much more photorealistic, whereas Megamare feels more like a fantasy—like an eldritch nightmare emerging from the deep sea. It took me a couple of wears to truly understand the name... and it was only after accidentally double-spraying my wrist that I finally perceived the oud. It's a light oud, and it gives the sillage a wonderfully airy quality. This captures the exact aroma of sun-warmed, salted skin after a day at a luxury resort. It’s the scent of your skin after having swam in the ocean on a bright day, rinsed off, relaxed at the spa. This is what you smell like just as you're getting ready for the fancy dinner reservation at the French restaurant. Smells very classy. This is truly niche.

I actually really enjoy this. If you ever smelled linage by amouage then this will smell familiar, but that's more dense and has incense. I prefer OM as it's lighter and doesn't project as hard, and with this scent profile you don't really want to attack everyone with your scent. With linage, I enjoy it for the first 2 hours and then I start to get overwhelmed by the scent and start getting a headache. This profile works best when it's discovered through light sillage. It's marine and mineral, with a light Oud that comes off a little like wet concrete. It's unique, you won't smell like everyone, and IMO done well. I see this mostly as a masculine scent, but I think a woman can wear this as well. Longevity is pretty solid at around 6 hours or so on skin and longer on clothes. Edit: this has graduated to be one of my favorite fragrances of all time.

Some of my favorite memories are of my time in the Navy, standing on the topside of a submarine in the middle of the Ocean, a spec in the vastness of nature. That is what I'm reminded of with this photo realistic aquatic. Oud Minerale is unlike any other aquatic in my collection or any that I've ever smelled for that matter. It makes the average aquatic seem... well average. Like quick lap in a pool compared to a full day at the beach. Both have their place, but one is an experience. Where most aquatics are easy grab citrus bombs that quickly fade into nothingness, Oud Minerale is a hyper performer with great projection and even better staying power that dictate it be worn with a purpose. This won't be for everyone, hell, as a kid from the inner city it might not have been for me without the memories it evoked. That said, 10/10.

A very intriguing perfume... I was instantly drawn to its uniqueness and the way its character shifts over time. I’ve worn it several times now, and I’ve learned it’s not ideal for very hot, humid weather, in those conditions, the woods take center stage, carrying a slightly “dirty” edge (though never unpleasant). Where it truly shines is on a breezy summer night. Then, it opens with beautifully crafted aquatic accords, refined, masculine, and somewhat reminiscent of Acqua di Giò Parfum. On my skin, it wears closely as spiced woods, but in the sillage you catch the aquatic notes, a gentle hint of salt, and a modern reinterpretation of a pine barbershop accord. The blend is masterful, balancing old-school charm with contemporary style. One of the most unique Tom Fords I’ve experienced absolutely.

This absolutely smells like the beach. But not a Hawaiian beach, not a beach in Florida or SoCal. It smells precisely like a Pacific NW beach. The day is cloudy and overcast, the temp is 50-60 (10-15ish C). The water is grey-blue and the ocean is roiling, waves are crashing on a rocky beach strewn with boulders and driftwood. If you're now thinking "why would anyone want to go to that beach, especially with that weather, let alone want to smell like that?" then this is an easy pass for you. On the other hand, if that sounds amazing and majestic, witnessing nature untamed, you should give this a try. Living in the arid SW, the only time it really feels fitting is on those rare cloudy and rainy days that are very few and far between here. But on those days there's no better scent.

At first, I wasn't sure what this fragrance smelled like. Being a beginner to fragrances, the only thing I noticed is that the scent smelled like other fragrances from Tom Ford. The smell was nostalgic, but I couldn't pinpoint why. That was until I read the reviews for it. As I read review after review, I could feel my eyes slowly getting heavier. Then a tear slowly flowed down my cheek. Tom Ford Oud Minerale captures the smell of the last beach day before the summer ends. It brings me back to my days as a child, playing in the salty ocean water. Waves towering over me as my toes combed through the wet sand. Drops of ocean water hitting my tongue. In the style of toskovat/maison margiela, Oud Minerale is a scent that I can only describe as "last beach trip".

Smells like gasoline and Sea water. Like the sniff that you take on a rainbow stain on water. Smells also like plastic of the Rubber inflatable for the beach. Very Sea evocative. One of my favorite TF as been marked with this. Starter strange, dryed good. Reminds me also of fresh cut celery. Not safe blind buy. Fresh and 30 yo + perfum. I think in gonna get It though in 22. Smell 8/10 marine/celery and petrolic oud. Longevity 10/10 put One spray 100 mins ago and i can see the oily skin Sillage 10/10 altough its covered I can smell It through the thick sleeve Projection 10/10 can smell It on my hand, the spray Is 25 cm away, on the forearm. Think im gonna buy It if i find It less than 1€ at ml. I dont think in gonna spend more than that.

I've been convinced this fragrance is a flop. Never got past a few moments after spraying on a test strip. This time, only by chance, I held on to the test strip. I left the mall and tossed the test strip aside as I got in my truck and had zero care for it. It wasn't long before I smelled something so intriguing that I looked for the test strip. Oud Mineral needs a moment to develop. You can't smell it in store after spraying on a test strip and think you know what it's about. The immediate opening isn't pleasant, it's weird and meh. Maybe ten minutes later the magic happens. See for yourself. It's actually really good. It gives me the impression of a dry piece of driftwood pulled from the ocean.

i found oud minerale on a cruise ship i went on before—it had this perfume shop. so, i went into it and i found their tom ford collection. i have a high expectation for tom ford fragrances because almost all of them smell delicious and last on me!! then i found oud minerale and i smelt it. it smells absolutely amazing. every night after dinner i would come back to the perfume shop to spray it on my clothes. on the way back home, without even washing the clothes, i could still smell it!! this was the day i found out that i like sea perfumes? one of my top favorites!! ^_^ if anyone has a big bottle of this that they blind-bought and doesn’t like the scent, bring it to me!! i will proudly take it!!

This is a masterpiece and for that reason will always be polarising; either it will be love or hate but never indifference. This for me is the smell of the seaside and specifically a Cornish seaside in early autumn. The wind is blowing and the sea spray has been whipped up: it's energising and fresh but at the same time, there's a hint of smoke from a fire burning in the distance. Then, every now and then, I get a medicinal TCP kind of note which, when mixed with the marine notes reminds me of Laphroiag 10. Good thing I like a peaty whisky, so for me, this is heaven. I put this on a par with niche fragrances like Epic Man from Amouage and ADP Oud.

If you have ever been to Disneyworld Pirates of the Caribbean ride then you have smelled this profile. I love it because it perfectly captures being on the ocean coast during spring with the seafoam washing up to the shore. It's funny because everyone you see review this scent will say it's beautiful, but "not for everyone", however I can assure you that no one will ever be offended by this profile. You might not want to wear this one during a night on the town out, but absolutely formal occasions or office this would be a banger. Lasts a great while as well. Very solid and the closest profile/DNA would be Le Sel by Issey Miyake.

I wear this way more than I thought I would. Very aquatic/marine in the beginning. Smells like a cold beach. The oud is in the background and creeps forward the more it dries down. It’s not very funky oud, smells modern, a little dirty, and woody. Deep dry down warms up a little bit and gets nice and soft. Works great in pretty much any weather, not too overbearing for summer. It wears lighter than heavier, projects about average, and lasts a little longer than average. This could be too “dirty” smelling for someone that’s wanting an aquatic freshy, but they’ve clearly put oud in the name for a reason.

I own this and typically apply 8 sprays. This is the one fragrance I have that skips the citrus opening. I live near the ocean and this is a cleaner version of the shore with a hint of soapy freshness without smelling like soap . The Oud is a background note, and is my most wearable Oud fragrance. If you like this, also check out TF Costa Azzurra as a more complex evening version of Our Mineral with added spices and the Citrus added back in. 9/10. [EDIT] My bottle has macerated and 4 sprays is all that’s needed. I applied this at noon yesterday and it is still projecting the next morning. Chefs kiss 👌

Please take this to heart and give this fragrance 2 to 3 days of full wear ON SKIN, then draw your conclusions. I feel that most of the reviews have only smelled this off the atomizer or a tester strip briefly, which will never do full justice. Remember to test on skin, behind each ear, back of the neck and one in front. I'd be interested to hear feedback to some of the reviewes down below after giving it time, not your average scent, definitely not a mass appealing type of scent, exactly what makes it special and stand out and trust that you will love getting whiffs of it an hour into wearing it!

If you can get passed the first 15 minutes, you're in for a BEAUTIFUL ride. This is a gorgeous scent that radiates off my skin and lasts a lot. I can still smell it on me after I shower. I find it stronger 8 hours in than the first couple of hours. The beging is harsh with all those seaweed and salty accords but then it becomes a creamy almost gourmand fruity scent. The drydown reminded me of something but I couldn't quite figure it out until recently...it reminds me of Black Orchid. I didn't like this at first, but give it a second and even a third chance and you won't regret it.

Oud Minérale turned out to be a fragrance I like way more than expected, and has become an immediate favorite of mine. Brisk, marine freshness, before the oud quietly surfaces in the background. Not a heavy, animalic oud, but modern, woody, and just a touch “dirty,” adding depth without overwhelming. Cool, briny, woody, elegant and refined. Versatile, long-lasting, and perfectly balanced between old-school charm and contemporary minimalism. Unique, elegant and easily wearable. BIG love from me. 👍👍👍👍 My only regret is to not have purchased the 100 ml bottle.

I hate Oud but love this. Unique, smooth, very professional. 30 and up crowd. CEO energy. Marine meets earth. It can also give off, laid back unbuttoned collard shirt and shorts vibe on the coast. Dress this how you want, but wear it with intention, not just cuz the day ends in Y. The oud smells like drift wood, almost like petrified wood in the best way possible. You get the minerals in a metallic way, which makes it smell like the ocean. Scent aside this is the best blended summer fragrance I’ve ever smelled. Santana- So smooth ft. Rob Thomas for sure.

Its a very light salty/mineralic oudy fragrance. In the first few minutes it can be slightly to mineralic but then it just settles into a beautiful, sophisticated relaxing scent. I think the hate is forced on this one(considering how popular oud wood is), or from people who enjoy very sweet fragrances. This is Oud Wood's brother that lives on the coast and spends his days surfing, he is more rebellious than his brother but they both come from the same rich family. The longevity is good, but I wish it had a slightly bigger projection. 9.4/10

How is this rated below a 4??? I get everyone has there opinion but this is a very high quality fragrance. I absolutely love it. Smelled it off a cap at an airport and that's all I needed. I do buy everything off discounters though so I find what I paid for this absolutely worth it. For me it's like a lot of people say, driftwood from the ocean. Im so glad I picked it up now. It's a scent that does kind of transport you. It last 6+ easily. It has great sillage. More than you'd think. To each their own but this is now one of my favorites

To me it smells exactly like dry resinous pine niddles on the ground, a sight ubiquitous in most greek seaside areas. Its a smell that reminds me of the heatwaves of my childhood, smelling that dry pine resin while drying on the beach after a swim. Its a scent that to me smells like summer. Its a mature, definitely male scent and so unique. However as you can tell from other reviews here, its a "controversial" fragrance, furthest thing from blind buy safe. For me, its my first choice for a summer fragrance in my collection

As stated in another comment, I’m very anti-freshie. I got this back on Black Friday on special, another blind buy that worked out phenomenally. I mean, I don’t get Oud in this, I can’t give you a note for note breakdown. What I can do I paint the over all picture. Envision this: 7pm, Early August at the beach. You’re packing up to leave, the faint smell of sunscreen lingers. In the air, is that smell...the sea, the salt, all the individual aspects of a good beach trip coming to a close. That’s in this bottle. I love it.

Be nice, don't mention your family life, who you sleep with or who you spend your vacation with, no one cares about your sexual preferences, whether you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend, it's disgusting, seriously, stop it.

I blond bought this expecting something completely different and I was almost disappointed but I gave it a chance and found out that I enjoy this smell after the dry down. At first it hits very sharp and sort of synthetic that kind of smells like rubber. After a few hours the true magic starts and the best way I could describe it is old spice pure sport done right. Overall I would say if you don’t mind smelling different or unique it’s perfect for that.

Absolutely fantastic scent profile - so unique in the ‘aquatic’ realm. This is more mineral than aquatic to me though, does not have the pure seaweed that megamare does, and is more mineralic than Kenzo homme intense. True to its name I suppose. Great longevity and silage, ok pricing wise - paying for the name slightly but also getting a truly unique profile. I’m going to try a few more mineral focussed frags like Ganymede and B863

This fragrance should not be judged by how it smells, but by how it makes you feel. This smells like you’re on a beach in sweltering heat. You’ve swam some time ago and the sea water has completely evaporated leaving a slight salty residue on your body. You’re already beginning to sweat a little and a gentle aroma of sun lotion is peaking through, while you’re also getting an unmistakable whiff of sea breeze, drift wood and algae.

This is a great scent but I don't wear it that often. The crazy thing about it is I get bored with it. I never wear it at work because I think it's too distracting and the one day I did wear it at work everyone lost their minds over it. I wasn't fishing for compliments yet everyone was coming at me wanting to know what it was. Less is more with this fragrance. Two sprays is plenty. More than two gets annoying.

FUCKING LOVE IT!! All this time I thought it was trash until one day by accident I kept the test strip and went about my day. I discovered it needs about ten minutes to develop into sexy, summertime, masculine energy. I love Orto Parisi Megamare because it's so fantastically extreme but Tom Ford Oud Minerale is so much easier to wear. I have a new favorite fragrance and I never, never, never saw it coming!

Something an Italian sun tanned guy wearing a linen shirt with gold jewelry would wear on his drug-money millionare mansion on the amalfi coast. Oud is super subtle, defnly high quality, weary marine- salty undertones but not overwhelming Kinda love it, but if youre looking for something that’ll land you compliments, im not certain this is it. Personally want it but i don’t have the right vibe for it lol

Finally something different . The most unique scent out of 30 fragrances at first I was unsure with strong gasoline notes right off the bat . But I kept finding my self sniffing my arm going back to it and then 25 minutes later the dry down came and OMG pure salty musky heaven . This smells like old money , no bubble gum attention seeking maple syrup here . I hope this never gets discontinued

I don’t know why so many people trash on this fragrance, I wanted a bottle off the first sniff. It’s a marine, salty, oud scent that is really interesting to me. Opening and dry down are both great to me. Longevity is pretty good and it doesn't project for as long as I would want it to but it still performs well. If you want to smell unique and like a prince at a beach i say go for it. 8/10

I personally love this fragrance. Has the Tom Ford quality we love, I got a 100ml brand new for 120$, which was a decent price imo. This lowkey smells like you are on a boat in the ocean, smells literally like the sea, but you still get reminded that this is a perfume and not only a scent. Very masculine, great longevity. In my book this is a 10/10 signature scent, can be worn anywhere.

This is my match. Salt, seaweed, smoky woods, a hint of pepper. It smells like money. It’s more likely to make people pause, frown a little, and think about what you’re wearing (in a good way, obviously) rather than instantly throw out a compliment. Salty compositions aren’t exactly mass-appealing, but that doesn’t mean it smells unpleasant — quite the opposite. My signature scent.

IMO one of the best fragrances ever made. For me I get ocean rocks and seabreeze on a beach with suntan lotion vibes (not in a sweet coconut blast kind of way though). Unique, introspective and something that will make others remember you. This is something you put on lightly, don't overspray; 2-3 sprays is enough. Its not going to be for everyone, so sample first.

I really love this unique perfume, so I’m giving it some well-deserved love I mean damn yall lol It is quite marine, quite salty, but it also has a bit of spice and a spruce kind of feel. It reminds me of the ocean in the Pacific Northwest. I don’t get a bunch of oud, but there is definitely iso E super giving it a cedar base. I just love this.
