Reserve Collection: Arabian Wood

This re-release appears to already be discontinued, as all Tom Ford authorized dealers no longer have it (Neiman, Nordstrom, TF themselves, etc...). Unboxed testers of this can be had for very cheap, ~$110, which is a pretty good deal for this $320 bottle. I have 10 to date Tom Fords, and this is my least favorite, but still nice. For a couple years, I had seen the original on here and was intrigued by the picture and positive reviews. I'm not big on oud because everyone in my circle hates oud, so the English barbershop-y vibe that the reviews portrayed sounded very attractive. I blind got this as a Christmas present from my parents (thanks, mom and dad). The bottle itself is like the normal private blend bottles, but it's got a gold plate instead of a sticker. The reviews were right. It's a soapy, floral wood. The wood that's in it is a bit stench-y in that it's not a super fresh wood. This is one of the few soapy scents that I've encountered that isn't a clean/fresh type. Maybe it's dark-fresh? It's not a bright scent. At any rate, this isn't what you need to buy if you're looking for a compliment-getter. It's a collector's scent and pleasant. I'm mainly going to wear this for myself only. I'd say it's office-friendly if you go light on the sprayer because this stuff is pretty potent. The main floral note is rose, and this is going to make or break it for you; it's also what makes it unisex. I didn't catch it at first, but when I had my a non-fragrance-enthusiast coworker smell it after a couple hours into the dry-down, she told me it smelled like straight-up "old woman." At first, I was taken aback. Then a few days later, I kinda got it. Definitely does have some of that vibe to it, but that doesn't kill it for me. It definitely makes it a very mature fragrance. I'd mark it as clearly unisex, because different people are going to perceive this one differently in either direction for masculine or feminine. It's not decidedly either. But if I just HAD to pick a sex, it would probably be masculine, but only slightly. It's not out of place on either. Longevity is above average, projecting about a little more than arms length for around 5-7 hours, settling to a strong skin scent around then. I washed it off at about the 12 hour mark. By this point, it's a dark-ish wood with a touch of rose. Kinda like the rose in Tom Ford's Café Rose. Overall, I'd say it's 6 or 7/10 scent, 8.5/10 longevity, and 8.5/10 sillage for what it is. Only recommend at a good price. Edit: wore it again this week. I like it better than I initially thought. I'll raise it to a solid 7.5/10. Very mature. I'm 24 now, and it feels a little out of place on me. This seems a little age 30+. The longevity the day I wore it was nearly 10 hours of projection at almost 3 feet; that's great.

Batch - A89 (2019) Arabian Wood while being mainly a floral fragrance it is undoubtedly a masculine leaning fragrance. Lots of woods freshy, smells like you just shaved (if you know what i mean). Very clean and sharp scent, definitely smells a little more mature but i still rock it. Good longevity of 8 hours and great 2-3 hour projection. I don't know about compliments with this one maybe from older ladies or other men. 7/10

An enjoyable scent that leans towards an older women It’s the most feminine of all my Tom Ford unisex fragrances.My advise, try before you buy.

Wonder if there’s a difference between this and the original.
