Soleil Neige Parfum

I will start by saying that Tom Ford was never among my favourites mostly because of the unfortunate balance between sillage, longevity and price. I think that, for most tastes, one can find something better and cheaper. Anyway, I keep trying fragrances wherever I can, including Tom Ford. I was surprised when I tried and immediately liked Soleil Neige. It sent me back to the sunny days of winter (skiing) where all snow is glittering, the sky is perfectly blue and nature seems bright and happy. Then I got home and wanted to get a sample only to find that there are two and I didn’t know what I had tested. So I had to order both instead of one and tested them simultaneous to compare them. First 5-10 minutes: the ODP is slightly soapy where the Parfum is more ‘’perfumy’’. I liked more the Parfum (the difference I would actually pay is 5-10 euros). 10-30 minutes : the ODP is more carroty and original like ‘’I am who I want to be’’ and the Parfum is more elegant and put together like ‘’I look good from any angles’’. I liked the ODP more because of the originality (the difference I would actually pay is 20 euros). Afterwards, progressively the ODP keeps its initial character of “child playing in the snow”, bright and happy, whereas the second ages, like someone growing up, more elegant and dark (and more powdery). At this point the Parfum looses interest for me because it changes exactly the thing for which I would pay this much money: the sunny and happy impression of snow. For me it’s like the snow gets grounded and muddy (it’s a metaphor, the Parfum smells good, no mud whatsoever). So even if the Parfum is something I would wear, it is not something I will buy at this price. 2 hours in the run, no significant difference in sillage and longevity. The Parfum keeps its citrusy character more while the other keeps, in my mind, its spirit of snow. To me (after one tester spray on each hand) both are skin scents. But the original has indeed something special.

I went to get my regular Soleil Blanc and I was curious to smell this new Soleil Neige version.. I sprayed on a paper bought soleil Blanc and left. After 1-2 hours I found the paper in my bag and smelled it and could not believe how amazing it smelled. I was compelled to keep smelling it all day. Paper smell lasted around a week and the next day I went and exchanged the one I bought with this one. It's snuggly, fresh and after the first half hour it starts becoming creamy and the wood/vanilla combined with freshness is just lovely. Totally a keeper and has become my favorite for sure. Smell it after the first 1 hour and thank me later. Cheers :)

It smells juicy at first. I personally get the wood, bergamot and mandarin notes, then it dries down, and gives me this “I just had a beach day” scent, idk if y’all get me. Reminds me of my summer holidays back in Cuba, when we used to go to different resorts and wear a lot of Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil mix with cologne, and after a long day the evening breeze would just bring out that cocktail of scents.... It’s good, however the sillage is not strong... at least on my skin. So I would not recommend it for a night out, unless you’re in a tropical country and you layer it out with other stuff.

Soft luxury. It does have great longevity. The scent is the same as the EDP maybe a little bit more creamy, a little sweeter. Mandarin and bergamot stays for the time of the wear, these are not just "opening' notes. Then you get a very creamy, lotion like jasmine, vanilla and musk. Rose note here is very soft. It does have synthetic notes but they don't feel harsh. Lovely and refined. I think I will get back ups bottles in case it gets discontinued.

Love this one! It's just such a warm summer scent. Definitely a crown pleaser, and is one of those fragrances that can be liked by everyone. I would say it is a bit more femme leaning, but my husband wears it on occasion too.

This is amazing. I bought a sample and I’m absolutely obsessed. The scent has stayed 12+ hours on clothes. I’m so sad this appears to have been discontinued, looking at buying full bottle soon.

love it. clean ,citrusy, powdery. a bit sweet, unique it last long but projection is good only first 2-3 hours then its close to skin.

I cannot with people comparing fragrances to Dora and Bart Simpson perfumes!! LOL

I think a number of reviews adequately reflect my feelings about this fragrance, particularly the observations made by Nard14. Other than the vanilla I couldn't quite detect the other notes listed above. But overall I would say that this evokes a nice image of... monoi-perfumed sunscreen worn on a summer day at the beach, while relaxing under coconut trees! Nothing extraordinary, yet it somehow works and puts you in the mood for sunny weather. Also, while sillage is weak this fragrance lingers on clothes and in fact keeps smelling delicious! It's not often I get lucky with a blind buy, I'm glad I gave this a chance even though I felt initially let down by the opening notes.

Honestly very good. Better than the EDP to me, and less feminine due to the dry down. That is where i get a smooth vanilla & amber with the citruses still coming through. It is a very creamy type of fragrance which i love. There is something at first, and when i smell from the bottle that is screechy and slightly nauseating to me if i smell too much up close (maybe the jasmine) but does not stop me from liking it on me. It is a perfect spring fragrance but i could also see it being worn in the fall and winter due to the dry down. Maybe a little too thick for high heat, but underrated fragrance and worth a bottle if you find a decent price.

Very disappointing, unfortunately. It smells nice, great scent for winter, but it doesn’t last AT ALL and this fact cancels out every positive thing about this fragrance. Having zero longevity for such price is diabolical...

Okay, I smelled it. Yes, it smells almost exactly like the EDP. However, the citrus notes are a bit more prominent and stick around longer (probably the added mandarin). Also, it has a touch more depth and smells less perfume-y (perhaps the added wood). I wouldn't say there is significantly more sillage. You definitely don't need it, but I actually do like the blend ever-so-slightly better.

So somebody tell me what the bitter smell is in this perfume? because this has a very bitter smell that's quite offputting it's almost like a bitter coffee or an oud note in here, I wanna say it's just a bad smelling wood but part of me thinks it could be cacao or coffee because sometimes those trick me into thinking it's wood due to the similar aroma compounds being bitter and woody

If I had to describe by one word, it feels like eating frozen oranges. Dont pay attention to the false negative reviews, projection and longevity are excellent. My most worn this summer. Price is perfectly fine for the quality you get. This is one is stronger then the EDP. My post on Fragram can be seen above.

I haven't tried it yet. So I would not leave a good or bad vote for this fragrance. One thing I want to know is who is the nose behind this fragrance? Is it not revealed? I would try it sooner as I also didn't try the series of soleil blanc

It is what it is... 🤷 This is a great perfume already, curious to see how they've made it better... Or worse. Eau d'Ombre leather is kind of disappointing. Haven't smelled Black lacquer yet.... I hold onto hope for this house.

So are the votes because people are annoyed at the cash grab by TF by parfum-izing a fragrance that is already 1) incredible and 2) good with longevity? or are people who have actually smelled it voting?

Its amazing, it cooks, it cleans, works as a measuring jug to measure your wallet's tears after purchasing! So innovative! Would love to see mid fragrances marked up just cuz it says Tom Ford.

Not as impressive as oud wood parfum and neroli portofino parfum. The smell is too close to the original edp version, not much of a change in terms of the scent profile...
