Opulentia Oud

Classy, charming, formal and unisex, everything OFG could have been I have worn Opulentia Oud a lot to gather my thoughts about it and to express its scent and character as realistically as possible. The hardest thing about the scent was first the clear association with Oud for Greatness from Initio and I don't like that scent at all. It's like a puzzle where the pieces have been forced together, it's like a brazen metallic breeze in your face. If you've tried it, imagine a scent where the same aromas have been put together as beautifully, seamlessly and with finishing touches as possible. Maybe that's how you can imagine this scent. Like Oud for Greatness, Opulentia Oud is also not an Oud scent. It is above all a slightly resinous Saffron scent with an Amber base. The scent opens with an irresistible Raspberry, as if the main notes of the scent had been poured with diluted raspberry juice. If I had to decide, this aroma should have been able to last until the end. Not everyone will agree, but I love raspberry in any fragrance where it is done well. From the beginning, Opulentia Oud is a seamless union of Saffron, a very delicate bouquet of flowers, and an oriental base. The flowers are by no means the main character, but they bring an extremely refined character to the fragrance and flawlessly bring the other notes together. This important aspect is missing from Oud for Greatness, leaving it too strong, sharp and unfinished. As I already mentioned, this is not an Oud fragrance, but the most important notes in the base are first of all Labdanum, which brings a seductive sensual nuance. It does not bring a leathery aroma here. Cyprioil and Patchouli complement the earthy character of Saffron, while the Oud accord complements the amber note and makes the fragrance beautifully resinous. This scent stays warm and not cold metallic like Oud for greatness. I have completely left this fragrance category out of my collection because I haven't found a composition that I like. Opulentia Oud is made so charming and elegant while still remaining completely unisex that this fragrance is a must-have, at least for me. The fragrance is perfect for business meetings, regardless of gender. It is suitable for formal occasions when combined with a suit. It is suitable for use all year round. I purchased Opulentia Oud end of august 2024. Its now december and i already ordered my 2nd bottle with the new Tomavicci Gourmand release Xanat. Opulentia Oud is a very rich, luxurious blend that beautifully fusioned Italian elegance with Middle Eastern opulence. When i sprayed the first spray, i was stunned, the opening is an immediate explosion of rasberry, rose and fruity oud, imbedded in the sweet, spicy warmth of saffron, coriander, italian geranium and nutmeg. The raspberry adds a fruity fresh and slightly acidic aroma to it which elevates the fragrance to new heights. What makes this fragrance truly special and personal for me, was its ability to evoke lost memories and emotions in me. The tagetes, a flower native to my home country, brought back memories of festive times, travel, nature and family gatherings. As the fragrance develops, the mid notes introduce a floral symphony, that is both rich and complex. The duality of Florentine Orris and Egyptian Jasmine paired with the depth of Damascus and Bulgarian Roses creates a scent, that is both luxurious and sophisticated. These floral notes are not overly sweet but are beautifully blended with the more sweeter orange blossom. The dry down is where Opulentia Oud truly shines. The base is a magnificent fusion of a fruity oud, earthy patchouli, smoky vetiver, and the resinous depth of cypriol and cistus labdanum. While the musk and the moss provide a soft, grounding touch, the Oud in particular, stands out, adding a sense of absolute opulence, without being overpowering, its an Oud for everyone, that lingers beautifully on the skin. Like all Tomavicci fragrances i get an amazing longevity, Opulentia Oud lasted a day and overnight on my skin. This fragrance surpasses all other perfumes in my collection. I wouldn't have imagined it, but Opulentia Oud has even taking precedence over my previous favorite, signature scent Zenobia. Opulentia Oud is an amazing fall and winter fragrance but personally i will wear it in any season, on my skin its very versatile.

From the first inhalation, I knew this luxurious perfume would become my favorite. An intense burst of opulence and complexity, with a fragrance of extreme elegance, instantly flooded my room, consolidating itself as my favorite choice from the brand. Opulentia starts off with a spicy warmth, with saffron as its main accord. This note is exquisite... I can also perceive its leathery and floral nuances, which leaves me absolutely captivated! This sophisticated ingredient enriches and accompanies other spices such as coriander and nutmeg, which immediately intertwine with the fruity sweetness of raspberry, along with prominent herbaceous notes of tagetes and geranium, giving freshness and sweetness to the fragrance, while a lush heart of opulent flowers emerges. Between jasmine and orange blossoms, roses are the protagonists. These are enhanced by the green and pink geranium of the opening, softening with iris, slightly powdery, evoking an aura of opulent elegance around me. The base is my favorite phase; it reveals itself complex, with woody and earthy accords of vetiver, moss and patchouli, also smoky and leathery nuances of cypriol wrapped in musky accords, creating a slightly powdery, enveloping and mysterious halo. The ambery, warm and resinous richness of labdanum lends complexity and depth to this wonderful, meticulously constructed Oud accord, resulting in a balsamic, woody and incense Oud, of a purely Oriental character. Infusing sophistication and refinement to the composition. I find Opulentia to be absolutely androgynous, complex; but easy to like. The substantivity on my skin is over 12 hours. The diffusion is strong to moderate. With a wonderful sillage. Opulentia Oud is among the best Oud-labdanum and rose-saffron accords I have ever smelled! It is powerful and captivating in its opening. Its intensity lasts throughout the life of the perfume. A composition in perfect symphony, beautifully presented, exuding luxury, elegance and exclusivity! A great masterpiece by Christian Provenzano.👏🏻

I purchased samples of Opulentia Oud and Xanat, mainly because Christian Provenzano is one of my favorite perfumers. (His Santal Indien Extrait is a 10/10). I have not tried any other fragrances from Tomavicci - I figured I would start with the two from a known entity. Opulentia Oud is gorgeous, powerful, long lasting and complex. It is a rose oud fragrance which also vibrantly displays multiple other notes and accords, namely raspberry, iris/orris and white flowers. It is a better version of Mizensir's Perfect Oud and Golden Oud, which are also both great. Projection, sillage and longevity are all excellent. For example, I sprayed it on my hand and wrist in the evening, and I could definitely still smell it easily the next morning after washing my hands twice during the time I had it on. As another reviewer stated, as good as this fragrance opens, its best phase is actually the dry down. It becomes smoother, softer and more elegant hour by hour. I would say Opulentia Oud leans masculine. I have a massive fragrance collection - I can't think of another oud fragrance I have that is better than this one. Xanat is also a great gourmande - I think it leans slightly feminine. I give Opulentia Oud a 9/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.5.

The spell "Opulentia oud" enchanted me. But a spell with magic words and amazing ingredients, a spell from which I never wanted to wake up (consciously!) again. At first I thought it was another accord between oud and rose, a marriage with communion of goods that my nose is always looking for. But here we go much further! The excellence of the raw materials: saffron, raspberry, nutmeg; roses, jasmine, iris; the right balance of each component ... While you reflect on all this, you already think of the East of Sherazad and imagine living in a fantasy world ... the incense arrives to complete the magic. A voluptuous, erotic, not at all ecclesiastical incense, an incense that fills every nook and cranny of your being. It is the apogee. Then you begin to wake up... slowly, gently in the company of oud and amber until, eager to experience those sensations again, you spray it on your skin again and the enchantment begins again.
