Set Sail St. Barts for Women

I love this fragrance...the old version, with the net on the cap, that is. I agree that this has been reformulated...I have written other reviews (such as Britney Spears Fantasy) in which I wholeheartedly believe that there is no reformulation (which the manufacturer also contends), but in the case of St Bart’s, the current bottle is very different. In its classic form, this is VERY lime margarita...the tequila and lime is distinct and bright. This is not an office scent unless you work somewhere very understanding; you will evoke someone who has been on the beach or at a swim-up bar drinking summery, beach-y mixed drinks. It’s more than possible they will assume you’ve been throwing ‘em back in the break room. After awhile the lime quiets down enough for you to get a creamy coconut-like layer and after awhile more, a beach-sand-like, driftwood-y element. It’s SO evocative of a good boozy time on a beach. But that’s something you have to wear at the right time! I own both the men’s, the women’s, the aerosol men’s spray, and the women’s body mist. The men’s and women’s EDCs are both the old formulation and are what I have described above. Both are extremely similar and are fairly unisex. The men’s might be a little heavier on the beginning lime and lighter overall, actually. The new bottle of women’s is a blue spherical cap and is now missing the ‘fishnet’ seen above. This reformulated version, which I bought today and promptly returned, is @%$, at least as a representation of Set Sail St Bart’s. After an hour or so it turns into a decent imitation of the previous version, but by then is quite faint; the original has good longevity. For the first hour and a half it smells like a completely different product and I would NEVER have guessed it was St Bart’s during that first stretch had I not been told or seen the bottle. I suppose it might not be bad in itself, but I was expecting one thing and got another, and I got a little weepy, I’ll tell you. The original, whether you agree that smelling like margaritas, coconuts and sand is desirable or not, was a true evocation of a very specific moment in time, and as someone who can’t get away to the beach or the poolside much, I really valued it. If the promise of evoking ‘margaritas at the beach’ appeals to you, seek out the original version. If the side of the box is striped, not flowered, it is definitely the old formulation, though SOME of the boxes that are flowered also can contain the fishnet bottle. I guess they changed the packaging before they sold the license. Perhaps ask to see the bottle itself...? I will say that the aerosol version still smells quite similar to the drydown of the old one...not much bright, fresh lime and not so much tequila, but very accurate to the coconut-and-wood part, so that might be easier to find. I pick it up at TJ Maxx-type stores whenever I see it.The body mist is close, again with not as much lime and tequila though. I love the old scent and have begun seeking out old bottles. It’s fun, and sometimes it’s so needed to just take a stress break and let your nose tell your brain that you’re relaxing by a beautiful pool with a fresh-made margarita on the rocks in hand.I highly recommend the old version, and if you find a tester of the newer one, try it; the lack of booziness will be exactly what you want if you want to wear it to work or to the PTA!!

Sea air, icy tequila and a big wedge of lime while sat under a palm by the ocean. I really love this cheapie quite a fair bit, its refreshing but also unique, I've not had a fragrance which has such a prominent lime/icy tequila note before, from reading the notes I kind of expected the usual aquatic/CKOne type thing but wow! I managed to get this for a steal on allbeauty.com, the bottle and its netted cap resembling a netted buoy really caught my attention being a lover of all things nautical and the notes really sounded appealing. The opening is bright yet astringent with tequila which initially reminded me of how DKNY Woman opens up only instead of vodka and oranges its tequila and lime wedges. Tequila eases off after about 5 minutes but never quite goes and the lime takes on a more full-bodied and dare I say, creamy nature, I can smell something reminiscent of frangipani but thanks to the inclusion of tequila, neither note becomes too thick or sticky sweet, after an hour it just becomes this gorgeous fruity/fresh skin musk which has a light aquatic edge to it. The jury is still out on longevity because its been so hot here in the UK, nothing seems to last longer than 3 hours, max, but I can say that the silage is wonderfully light yet noticable. Its the perfect everyday scent which can be worn to the office or casually, its fresh and airy but a little bit different thanks to the inclusion of lime and tequila sorbet. The only gripe I have is that the bottle is quite wide and a little awkward to hold, but its really a lovely freshie! Repurchase worthy? so far yes I will update at a later date with my thoughts on the longevity when the temperatures cool down a bit here

Initial spray had me like: yeap unisex bliss, a cousin of Virgin island water creed. Then 3 mins later Im like no way this is unisex, I mean would my guy ever wear this? no, hes too blue collar for that. So after about 3 mins I get the Tequila-lime notes that brought me memories of myself walking by the lit pool at night wearing... Beyonce's Pulse, yea buddy, thats it I found what it reminds me of. Pulse has the bergamot and Curacao, this one lime and Tequila, only Pulse can actually get you drunk with the rest of the notes combined, its much heavier. I loved Set sail st Barts years ago and finally bought it so I had forgotten about that beautiful twist in there that reminds me of Pulse. I keep Pulse for the summer nights and this one for the day. Its drydown also reminded me of Eau So Party by VS, the lime sugar combo in there, Im wearing both on each arm right now and they're very similar, St. Barts more fresh and "tropical", Eau So Party is warmer and more sugary.

I happened to find Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts in Walgreen's on sale for just $25.00 (US), so I decided to give it a try. The opening notes are very citrus-- lemon and lime without being too sweet or having that chemical bitterness rampant in so many other citrus perfumes. The burst of citrus lasts throughout much of the fragrance. Just when you think this fragrance has given all it can, you become pleasantly surprised to find the beach. The fragrance turns a little salty, but warm and soft like a sunny spring day along the shore. The citrus fades into the woods and musk and that is truly the beauty of this fragrance. Just when you think it is a one note wonder, that beachy surprise is waiting for you. I am truly surprised and delighted by this fragrance. This scent was on the bottom of my 'wants' list, but now I know as long as its available, it will always be in my rotation.

Oh yes! Finally the fresh, tropical sea breeze perfume that makes me feel I'm on holiday, without that stingy, sharp aquatic note! Somebody in Fragrantica wrote nicely about St.Barts and made me interested in it, and the reviews are so good.. so I dared to order a blind buy. I am so happy about this! This is so much what I wanted. The opening is fresh and crisp without being sharp, and the dry down has some softer sandy and floral elements. Unisex, yes, and I still like it! The opening is more unisex, while the dry down has more feminine character. It's not like Cool Water, nor like Clean fragrances, and definitely not like the large group of melon-water-lily-aquatic scents. This sets her beautiful sails and takes me to whatever destination I want. I am going to wear St. Barts even in mid winter! Smells much more expensive than it's price (= lots of nuances, refined freshness)

After 3 days of dismal rain and feeling half sick the whole time,I turned to my fume closet for relief. I wanted something,brighter,more alive,not flowery or heavy. After thinking about several of them,my eyes fell upon a seldom used one,SAint Barts. I showeres,put on the lotion and liberally doused myself with the nectar. Instantly,I was transported to a beautiful,pink sands,palm treed,wind blowing softly, island. I could feel the warm sunshine on my bare flesh as I lay beneath a huge umbrella,watching the dolphins play in turquoise water! This to me is a cool mixed drink with a splash of coconut. The lime isn't bitter. Just gets ur tastebuds tingeling. I barely detect any florals but,what I do get in the background are soft almo0st sweet wildflowers that befit a tropical island. Granted,,,this may no0t be ur everyday fume but it i9s a mini vacation for bleak rainy days1

When I wear this my eyes get really big then immediately I close them. MMM! I feel like I am in the Dominican Republic with sugar AND salted rim beverage in my hand, extra lime, lounge chair reclined and warm sand sticking to me. Full on straw bag and sun hat packed with beach snacks and a beach read. This does not have any notes that remind me of sunscreen which is perfect for me to feel refreshed. This projects on me 6 feet. I also would not wear this to work. When layered with Banana Republic Pure White 90 this is so fresh and cuts down the mixed drink sweetness. Perfect for summer outdoor gatherings and outdoor latin dancing! I also love this at home when I want a free escape. I have the netted cap old version, but I got it from a discounter this year 2021.

Bought the fragrance mist a couple years ago at Marshall's for only 8 dollars, and HOLY COW was this strong upon first spray. You could really detect the lime and tequila and something Salty in the beginning. Smelled super good and unique. For a body mist, I thought this was blended extremely well and honestly with how strong it was, I sometimes mistakenly took it for an actual perfume while wearing it. This gets me noticed pretty much every time I use it, albeit according to my sister, it's too damn overpowering. Btw, the base of this is so so beautiful. My favorite part actually ❤️ I'm considering buying the perfume now as soon as I finish up the spray. And also trying out other Tommy Bahama fragrances. 9.2/10

I got the body spray at Marshall's and absolutely loved it, so I had to get the perfume. I don't know the longevity, hope it's good, but then again I don't mind replying, and for the price it's ok to do so. I feel like I'm on the beach with a cold margarita in hand when I put this one such a vibe, and I am here for it. update: When you love a fragrance so much you have to buy a backup before the first one even runs out... yup. 🤫🌴 Set Sail St. Barts is hands down one of my absolute favorite summer scents ever. It hits you immediately with that juicy lime and fresh, beachy tequila vibe—no harsh alcohol openings here! It dries down so clean, salty-sweet, and resort-ready. I’m officially stocked up for the season!

Fresh, clean, citrusy, feminine. Exactly what I've been looking for for YEARS for a summer fragrance. I wore this for the first time knowing "This is IT!!!" aaaaand just like that the smell was gone. Maybe my skin was particularly dry or particularly oily.... I don't give up easily. I tried it again, more sprays this time. "Yummmmmm!!!! I LOVE it!!!" aaaaand ten minutes later, it was gone. Update: One year later a bought a bottle anyways thinking, whatever I'll just respray a lot. I don't know if they changed the recipe or if my skin really was that dry 😬 but it does seem to last a couple hours on me now. I really adore this fresh, clean scent.

The top notes smell exactly like Bond No. 9's Coney Island. Then 5 minutes later it dries down to this gorgeous pina coloda mix eerily similar to Creed's Virgin Island Water. Coney Island top notes lasts for 8 hours plus and never changes while St. Barts only last for 5 mins...it just goes to show the quality of ingredients used in Bond's perfumes. The rest of the dry down for St. Barts smells like the 5th hour of VIW. It's a summery treat on my skin that lasts 6 hours. If you can't afford the exuberant prices of Bond's Coney Island or Creed's VIW.....St Bart's is a worthy and cheaper alternative. I LOVE this!!!!!!

Are they sure they created tequila? Cause what I'm getting here after about 5 minutes is a pitcher of Pina Colada. Granted, the lime is there, but instead of florals and warm musk I get something very fruity and sweet, I'm almost tempted to single out coconut but since they inspired me with the alcoholic drinks, I vote for Pina Colada. :) Either way, and for what it's worth, this made me smile - it definitely is a good mood kind of fragrance. And to me, it has no real unisex qualities, simply because of the sweetness it develops on my skin.

I love this scent when I need a pick-me-up! It is the perfect scent to take your mind away on a mini beach vacation. I had a friend hug me and tell me I smelled just like a margarita, but that it was "a good thing". It's a great spring or summer scent for when you want to relax or party. I always pick up the lime, sand, and tequila and my worries seem to melt away. It stays a while on my skin and I've almost used up a full bottle and I'm most likely going to replace this summer beauty! Peace, love and margaritas.

This is a delicious fresh vibrant limey cocktail. At first spray the lime & Tequila come out in full force. After it dries down, I get the sand and woods. It almost smells like a mans fragrance at times but has just enough of "something" to make it womens. I could not imagine wearing this in any other season but Summer. Fresh, light and zesty this one is perfect for the beach or Summer vacations by the ocean. It screams warm weather. I like it alot.

The version with the net on the top I absolutely Loooved.Tommy Bahama has reformulated this scent. If u are fortunate enough to find the bottle with the net on the top get it otherwise don't bother. The new formula doesn't last and is watered down. And the new hints of coconut smell like chemical. Sad this was a 5 year favorite of mine. And I have since had to find another summer staple.

This perfume screams "Im on vacation in Florida" This beachy/freshy perfume also performs like a champ. I smell sweet green citrus, with a very realistic tequila note, and lots of sandalwood. Great sillage. This was my signature scent for years, and still one of my all time favorites.

I just got this today and I love it! I can smell the lime and tequila (my fave) but not in an overwhelming way. I love this way more that St. Barts and I already want another bottle! Silage is soft but noticeable and the longevity is fantastic even in the heat! A fantastic blind buy!

I love this fragrance, especially when I want a break from the usual vanilla/musk fragrances I wear.

Thank-you to Music_luver77 for gifting me this perfume. Years ago I had the men's version and I liked it but I think I tended to over-apply it. My (then) partner used to complain that I "bathed" in it but I found it so refreshing to wear in the summer that I was very likely a little heavy-handed with it indeed. My skin does not eat fragrance up like it tends to do on some people's skin. I'm lucky enough to be one of those people whose skin really holds fragrance well so I have to be very careful with just how much I spray or it can become obnoxious quickly. In my defense, the men's version was stronger than the ladies and after awhile I got tired of it and gave it away. Truth be told, I prefer the ladies version for the simple fact that it is lighter but still maintains the same vibe as the men's. The men's would sometimes give me a hadache but no such problem with the ladies. For me, this is summer in a bottle. It's a "happy" scent and I find it uplifting. Ontario has humid summers and this is the type of fragrance that smells so nice when you can't stop sweating! It's like taking a dip in a pool to cool off. It's all about the lime. Lime, lime and more lime! It's not linear though. There are other things mixed in to give it some depth and make it a little more interesting. I love it and would likely have never tried it if I hadn't won it in Tanya's giveaway. I will use every single drop of this up when the heat is on and I need something to give me a pick-me-up. It's a keeper!

I had a gift card from Christmas to use at Marshall's, I needed a few things but knew I also wanted to get a perfume. I was planning to get Burberry Brit Rhythm since I had been eyeing it since Christmas then I saw this. I have been searching for good summer scents for a few years now and nothing has really stuck. I sniffed this from the bottle and it was pleasant. When I got home I tried it on my wrist and blouse and it smelled nice but sort of off and sort of went straight to my head. Fast forward to today I sprayed this again softly on my shirt just relaxing at home and it is nice...I do think this is one I may have to spray at a distance because I'm still getting a slight headache but I have the feeling this will smell super fresh in the summer months. Also,I live in California so it's usually sweltering. I'm hoping this could be a nice hot weather scent and at the price $20.00 for the 100ml bottle it's great for something that may need reapplication since it will be worn in summer.I will update in the summer...I'm excited to try it out...also Coolwater used to be my signature as a young adult...this reminds me of it a bit which is great since I have been searching for a replacement for that one (this is a bit more fresh and less musky) I'm smelling it now and this is very refreshing!!

Since I have been seeing this for sale in abundance at Marshall's and Ross recently, something finally clicked. I have had this for a few summers and I remember when I purchsed it, I thought, what does this smell like? Today it hit me (love those scent memories), teenage Cape Cod and Nantucket summer trips and a bottle of 4711 Original Eau de Cologne Maurer & Wirtz sitting on the bathroom counter. Everyone wore it, Mom, Dad, sis. Too funny, one of thoe "multipurpose, multipeople" scents. I would sneak sprays of it and breathe in the lime. St. Bart's makes me think of Bermuda also, it just does. I wear it periodically in the summer or sniff it in the winter for an escape. I put it in the same category as Bliss' cucumbery scent or Calvin Klein's summer samplings. Now I am in the season to wear Vince Camuto, Carmella, Boyfriend, the cuddlers. I know there is going to a cold day in February, when winter won't seem to end...and I will pull out St. Bart's and revisit summer.

The very first spray of this was a tiny bit sharp and synthetic smelling for a few seconds but then suddenly a smile came across my face! It’s like I was teleported to a beachy vacation spot! This scent screams sunshine, relaxation, salty air and refreshing cocktails! I adore it!! I can’t wait to wear this all summer! Anything that instantly puts a smile on my face is a keeper!! I’d say the lime is pretty prominent in this one and seems to last past the top notes! This is an amazing freshie perfect for the warmer months! It’s fun but still has a level of sophistication! I was fortunate to receive the one with the nautical netting on the cap which is adorable! Very pleased with this one!

If this just had a touch of vanilla or tonka, or maybe even some amber, it would be perfect. As it stands it's quite a sharp, sometimes even harsh scent, and because of that I'm not comfortable wearing it at only 24 years old. Don't get me wrong, it's unique and lovely, especially in the drydown, but it lacks the "comfort" I'm looking for in a daily-wear scent, and which I think is more suitable for my age. I've smelled the men's version on my boyfriend and I like that one a lot better. It has more complexity, more richness, and more fruits. Honestly, I would not buy this one again - but I would buy the men's version for myself, I loved it that much!!

I just have the body spray of this one, so it's very inexpensive, even more so than the actual perfume. I think this is nice. Very unisex, perhaps leaning more masculine, at least at first. I smell the lime for sure. A bit of floral and to my nose, there is an undertone of coconut (not a listed note) that makes this a very fresh summer sunshine scent. This one is 'bright, sunny, breezy. Though, for summer I really like pretty much all of the women's body sprays from Tommy Bahama. If you are looking for great summer scents, I'd recommend giving this whole line a try.

It's currently over 90 degrees outside. It's hot, everyone is listless, and this is just about the only perfume I think I can handle wearing. This is a scent that manages to be soft and refreshing at the same time. It's a quiet, unobtrusive fragrance, but it lasts for several hours. The scent is lime margarita. The boozy note is most obvious on initial spray but it softens into quiet lime that is not at all sharp but is light and refreshing. This is absolutely a perfume for summer and for hot weather.

I get a little bit of tasty sour lime and a lot of brisk fresh aromatic aquatic notes. It is really a cool smelling scent. It is simple and enjoyable and would be splendid on a hot day spent outdoors. It has a moderately strong sillage and lasts many hours. I do like it quite a bit, and could probably even share it with my beau. Nothing screams femininity here. I don't get florals or sand, just cool refreshing aquatic lime. Very good.

No suntan lotion smell in this perfume. The guaiac wood note,mixed with the lime and sand,and floral produce a nice beachy, tropical smell. I can smell the lime and floral mixed together on my skin and it reminds me of the time I spent in Key Largo, FL. It is a little on the masculine side,but I think that is the guaiac note at work on my skin. It has moderate longevity,about 4 hours. I really like this perfume.

I find the women's version of Set Sail St. Barts to be very close to the men's version, so much so that one can be used instead of the other. Both the men's and women's versions are quite summery and unisex, quite fun to wear in warm weather. Not much longevity and projection, but given that they go for about $20 for 100 ml., that may not be a huge problem, as long as you do not mind reapplying every few hours.

Not a fan of the opening on this one It has that oddly sweet note that is in everything these days and usually overpowers all the other notes. But in the drydown it's much better. Not exactly tropical, but mature and sexy, fitting the "set sail" theme. The tequila and lime stick around and combine with a slightly woody and musky base. There are sweet florals in the center, as if carried on the breeze.

This is quite good. Reminds me of alot "froot loops" It opens with a strong lime. Sticks around for quite a while. There is some flower scent in there but the lime is most prominent. This is rather unisex in my opinion. A "sweet" scent. I know this has been reformulated and the new version isn't as lime based. I have the older version with the net cap. So I can't comment on the new version.

Refreshing for summer, and very apropro for boating (not that I'd know). Vacationy without doing the usual tropical fruits and coconut. I smell a good amount of lime, a hint of tequila and florals and maybe musk and guiac wood. I do not smell any sand.

I find this to be extremely similar to Donna Karan's Pure Verbena. I can definitely smell the lime and citrus. A good scent to wear to the beach or on a summer vacation. Very light as well.

This is a nice, summery refresher. On me, it's lime, sandy with a bit of booze and sand. Not super strong, so it's "work appropriate" for me. A "strong like" in my collection.

I love tommy bahama fragrances! This one is sooo freaking good it smells like DG light blue to me. It’s a really good scent definitely recommend.

I bought this one blind at a bargain price, and I'm somewhere between ok and like on my rating. This is a bright, crisp summer scent. The opening lime/tequila note is amazing. I can't get enough. But sadly, it fades quickly and sits close to the skin as a lightly floral, musky generic scent. It also doesn't last; half an hour, and she's gone. The bottle is cute and substantial, too heavy to pack on a holiday, but I'm keeping it around for aesthetic purposes and maybe as a pillow spray.

blind bought this and surprisingly fell in love with this l In my opinion, is a unisex slightly masculine perfume. I love the tequila note it makes this different from the tropical beachy perfumes .It has a crisp ,clean beachy vibe. It has a beautiful base of musk and wood . I do not smell any sand in the base . it has similar vibes of DG light blue but is a more unique scent and a super affordable one too .

I had this a couple of years ago, and it’s a nice unisex fresh scent. The tequila and lime give it a masculine edge at first, then it develops a slightly floral and sweeter facet. I enjoyed wearing it during the hot New Orleans summers, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase it.

Fake lime and alcohol. Not terrible but not pleasant, at least for me. I was so excited for note like lime and sand but I'm pretty disappointed in this.

I love the opening. It really makes me feel I am smelling wafts of a limey cocktail. If there is a tequila note in this, it's probably white tequila, not the oaked, aged, amber-colored fragrant stuff. But...as the opening notes dry down, there is something left that makes this composition increasingly sharp on my skin. I wanted this to work for me, I really did. This type of scent is right up my alley for summer wear. Not too serious, and definitely not demanding. It's a pleasant, free-spirited little scent!

This one was a little too limey and tangy for my liking. Felt it smelled manly so gave it to the boyfrie nd and he liked.

Those that read my reviews know that I love tropical fragrances.I think my love for beachy scents comes from the fact that here in michigan we only get about 3 months a year maybe 4 of really hot weather.I had been searching for a lime fragrance that smelled like margarita and this scent came up.It is sold on the tommy bahama website but I did not want to pay full price so I went on fragrancenet.com and they had this fragrance for a lot less.Some reviews have said this fragrance is unisex and I have to agree.I had my brother try it and he loved it as well.On my skin at first spray there is a strong blast of lime margarita.It does smell like an alcoholic drink.Very refreshing!There is supposed to be carribean florals in the heart but all I get in this fragrance is pretty much lime margarita on a base of white woods some sand and a creamy musk.The base notes almost turn rum or coconutty on me and the lime is there all the way through the drydown.This would smell awesome in humid weather.I agree with the reviewer above who compared this to virgin island water but I think tommy bahama has better longevity on the skin and a much better price.This fragrance is another perfect beach scent.It does remind me of dolce gabbana light blue as well.They both have a frosty quality to their citrus notes as opposed to a crystalline or sparkling citrus like bright crystal for example.I highly recommend this fragrance for guys and girls that want a cool beachy scent that's fun.If you love lime margaritas you'll be getting that with this fragrance as well as a sandy boardwalk beach feeling.I loved this one!

TOP: Sparkling lime, hibiscus nectar, sea spray. MID: Frangipani breeze, bougainvillea vine, frosty tequila. DRY: White sand musk, guaiac wood. (per the Tommy Bahama website) This scent is SO beautiful on the skin. However, on clothes it develops into a sandy wet clothes left in the washing machine too long scent-- it's strangely realistic to that post-beach stink when you're driving home in wet clothes. I digress... The initial spray is very fresh and almost reminiscent of CK One. The lime note is evident at first but the beachy florals slowly take over the scent profile. I don't feel the tequila note, and the saltiness isn't as prominent as the "sea breeze" note might imply. I expected St Bart's to smell like a $20 Margarita at a seaside spa. While it has all the ingredients of a classy margarita, its definitely a more luxurious fresh-floral with a beach in the background. Soft beachy florals with a bright fresh opening. This scent is suitable for anyone. The notes are very unisex, but on my skin its slightly more feminine due to the prominence of florals. It's not too sweet and is great for hot sunny weather. The smell on fabric is a major issue for me personally, so I don't anticipate repurchasing this scent.

I feel like most of the reviews here must be for an older formulation. I blind bought a net cap bottle, but it’s a new formulation-the newer ones get a net cap too now. Batch number says my bottle was made a year ago, still shrink wrapped in box, with the floral print on the sides, not the striped print box. All I smell is a mild cheap lime, almost “cleaning product” type citrus, and alcohol. Not tequila, cheap perfume alcohol. No florals, no musk, no wood, definitely no sand. Straight from the bottle, I thought I was getting something that smelled more like ckone or tommy girl, like the other reviewer mentioned, I always get those two mixed up. Overall this is very watered down, smells more like a cheap cologne knockoff from the 90s/early ‘00s. I would have loved to try an older formulation, but the overall scent and performance of this has me regretting this purchase so much I’m not willing to take the risk. I’ll just stick with my other beachy citrusy scents, this performs the worst out of all of them and smells more 90's cologne-like than anything that’s striking me as remotely tropical/beachy. Scent only lasts an hour or two max, with projection dying and drying down to a skin scent 30min after spraying.

I crave this perfume in the winter. Wearing it is like escaping reality and being on vacation. Lay back, close your eyes and just breath it in. I have the old formula with the netting on the cap. I haven't tried the reformulated version. With the old formula I get a blast of salt and lime. It's boozy and fresh. After 20 minutes the lime dies down a little and the Woody notes come out. It smells like driftwood. This lasts hours on my skin. Hours later it becomes warm. It's warm , Sandy, slightly musky and beautiful wood notes. I absolutely love it. Though coconut is not listed I still smell fresh coconut in the base. If you can find the netted cap... Buy it.

This one is great! I like it better than Very Cool and I cannot agree with the other reviews. It is not really like Cool Water. I would say they have similar personalities but the actual scents are different. Bug Spray? ...no way! I find the lemon note one of the best because it smells more like lemon zest to me. It is not as sour or bitter as normal lemon scents it is more "fruity-lemony". Yes, it is slightly masculine but on a warm summer day you really don't need more femininity in this. The setting that explains the fragrances the best would be walking on a wooden boardwalk of a marina somewhere in the Caribbean sea.
