Tommy Citrus Brights

This smells much more mature than the name would suggest. My first thought was that this smelled like a distant cousin of Boucheron Pour Homme. It has that classic cologne vibe, but manages to smell fresh and youthful at the same time. I sprayed my wrist 7 hours ago, and I can still smell it. It doesn't project like crazy as far as I can tell, but too much of this would probably be cloying anyway due to the "density" of the smell. If you like the old school cologne style, be sure to try this one.

It's actually not that bad. originally I thought that's it is a flanker from the 90's that I've missed. I has a bit of a medicinal quality to it, but then again that's not a dealbreaker as it's somehow put together nicely. I believe it will make for an alright, unpretentious office citrus scent for the summer. Btw, it's already on a heavy discount here in the UK (how did they manage so quickly I don't know) so one might as well buy a piece on the cheap. 6.5/10

Got this one today. The initial smell is very nice, you are greeted with a delicious combo of citruses while ginger, pine, lavender and even incense are immediately jumping out of the closet to make their voice heard. The result is an uplifting aromatic blend that sets itself apart from the "usual" citrus summer releases! The dry down leans towards the smell of a fizzy orange drink like Fanta for example. In regards to its performance I will have to test drive this in the next 24h.

Now hold on...they lost me until I read the 'pine needles' note. Hmmm...that might be interesting if it's in there in a great enough concentration to: 1) last and 2) smell it. The most recent scent I've smelled with pine needles is MMM By the Fireplace, and perhaps it's not an entirely fair comparison because BtF's pine notes are burnt, and very acrid. I'm gonna check it out for that one note alone. Otherwise, I'll be waiting for it at TJ Maxx this upcoming Christmas.

Ordered this blind. As I do really like several of the Tommy line (Athletics, Tommy 10 & the original Tommy) and the fact that pine needles and incense are listed here, make this an interesting composition for me to try. Of course I don't expect this fragrance to rock my world, but a nice fresh aromatic juice with a modern piney edge would be very welcome, so I am looking forward to receive this. A second post will follow accordingly.
