TW!!! not speaking from experience, toskovat’s born screaming smells like sitting on a plastic couch in a red light district club. a stranger donning but a black shiny latex bodysuit and a plastic hot pink wig is twerking on you but you’re zooted as fuck on whatever you just snorted off the table and everything is dark except for the strobing neon lights, so you don’t know what the hell is going on. you don’t even like maraschino cherries but there’s a couple in your drink anyway. there are medicine-y flavoured condoms in your pocket, where did those come from? did you even give consent to a lap dance?? you don’t remember anything— oh, god. fentanyl kills. what the hell did you just snort? god knows, because youre probably on the verge of ODing, right now vegetating inside the oblivion that separates life and death... why are you here anyway?? to forget your name and forget your life and escape to a hot and sweaty, sexy fever dream? a night of meaningless erotic fun and hedonism, even if a bit dangerous, beats suicide, you suppose. aka, nothing matters anymore, so what the hell? we’ve fully lost our ability to care, our need to self-preserve. everything is plastic, from the couch, to the tacky club furnishings, to the ass in your face. everything is hedonistic, from the cheap plastic everything, to the deafening music, drugs, drinks, and omnipresent erotica. whenever i see those japanese love hotels i feel miserable, gross, and uncanny, like their artificial ass rooms immerse you in a weird sexy fantasy far away from reality. it’s all but a hazy distraction, a high to chase time and time again. i imagine feeling miserable enough to having to go to one (no shade to people who go to japanese love hotels for fun). well done toskovat for evoking that sex affiliated misery from within me. well done toskovat for managing to fill me with misery, every fragrance you come out with. edit: two days after i initially smelled the scent strip and wrote the above, i decided to check on it again to see how it aged from then. following the vignette i imagined upon first spritz, the fragrance boils down to an intoxicating, even hypnotic muted cherry haze. the flashiness tames to a trance in which the chaos surrounding you dulls and you truly reach the brink of death by snorting a mysterious, possibly fentanyl-containing substance off a dirty sex club coffee table... the world collapses one sense at a time: the neon strobing lights begin to blur, the sound of the dance music, chatter, and clinking of glasses become distant and mute, blending in the background. it all numbs, reduces to a thumping bass that lulls you into an eventual nothingness. you can’t speak to let the person in drag twerking on you know that somethings up and you don’t feel so good, can’t manage to pierce the thin membrane that separates this fantasy from reality with your fingernails; you’re far too deep now into the former. so you let it take you. you savour the last of the ecstasy before you cannot grasp it anymore, knowing you’ll wake up either in hell or in a hospital, unsure of which is better. either way, you waste away in this feverish, cherry-hued, cherry-reeking bacchanalia, feeling a bit sorry for the gentle(man/woman) who now twerks upon a soulless corpse. born screaming is a disturbing piece of art, just like every other toskovat fragrance. it’s artificial, plastic, and shiny, ruby red. there is a nihilistic and simultaneously erotic beauty to it. and something about that so deeply morbid (this perfume honestly just freaks me out. too uncanny for me. love but would never buy)

this one tells me such a story : you’re a young asian woman, specifically japanese. you come from a rich yet loving family it’s your 18th birthday. just the other day you were a little kid playing with your toys and dolls, watching cartoons on dvd, smelling those disk cases. you still sleep with your teddy bear and use a childish cherry perfume from a convenience store which reminisces of a scented car charm in your daddy’s lexus. it’s springtime now and the trees are starting to blossom, even though it’s still cool outside. you woke up to your mom bringing you a big bouquet of fresh tender flowers, and you’re gonna spend this day hanging out with your friends and the boyfriend you keep in secret from your family, cuz they wouldn’t like him much. you’re into a baaad bad boy, and yall are so excited that you’ve become a major now. to your parents, you remained an innocent good girl, so decently you cover the stench of your cigarettes with a herbal mint gum. early evening, it feels like time doesn’t exist anymore. after putting some pretty hair clips in your modest hairdo, you get into the car and he drives you to karaoke club. the reserved room is adorned with balloons, a hospitable waitress brings you fruits (peaches) and flavored alcohol drinks (didn’t know they import an ukrainian cherry drink Revo alco energy to Japan??). turns out that some of the balloons are those you inhale to get high. your party gets wilder with every second and you enjoy it. the animalistic notes waft off of your dancing bodies. someone ODed, maybe the cherry on top of your birthday cake was soaked in formalin. a private ambulance doctor in latex gloves puts in an IV, everything will be fine. the party goes on. you get really naughty with your boyfriend. saliva splashes from your kisses, so will you in that faux leather chair just in a moment, after he puts handcuffs on you right in front of everyone... when sobriety sets in, you find yourself in a cozy big house, y’all burn incense and giggle about what was happening some hours before. you don’t have anything to worry about. you’re young, free and beautiful. 9/10 only because the cherry is so prominent it can get a headache

I initially didn't know what to think of this as it isn't, at least on me, anywhere near as cherry-like as people make it out to be - only on the very opening. It does dry down almost instantly to an energy drink type smell, almost like redbull. The latex is super clear! I personally think it adds a great counter, not a balance, to the sweet cherry. On me it's very incense-y and the patchouli and myrrh are both prevalent with the latex. It smells very similar to the recent collab between Black Veil Brides and Cursed fragrances, although I found that to be quite overpowering. Born Screaming is beautiful and balances out really well - I'm not one for incense scents but I genuinely do adore this. Something about it is unsettling, but not in a scary way, just slightly intimidating and I think that is just from the 'substance' notes. It doesn't smell like semen or saliva at all, just a heavier skin note. Honestly, like most Toskovats, I think the inclusion of it is less to actually smell like cum and more to market the idea of sex and nightclubs. I was worried on blind buying that I wouldn't be a huge fan of this, especially after reading some of the reviews, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I've been complimented on it already. I don't get the medicinal opening at all but that might just be me. Overall, I adore Born Screaming. It's a beautiful cherry fragrance, mature but still sexy and playful. I could see this as more of a date or night out fragrance, but someone could easily pull this off as a signature fragrance with the right confidence and character.

The first time I tried this fragrance, I accidentally spilled it on my fingers and I couldn't stop smelling my fingers. I needed more. I decided to put some on my wrists a little while before bed. I fell asleep with my wrists propped next to my nose. This is so gorgeous and bizarre. Obviously there is cherry. It's bright and fresh smelling but up against the plastic and latex smell you can imagine cherry flavored plastics or scented lubricant. It doesn't smell too sweet like a cherry candy. It's relaxing and invigorating to experience. As it dries down I get more of the traditional perfume notes, patchouli and myrrh. During my first wear I could smell the "energy drink" which smells like Red Bull to me. My husband instantly noticed that scent and felt nostalgic about it. He also said it reminded him of cherry medicine and it reminded him of childhood. I'm wearing this for the 2nd time today and it smells a bit different to me. It's morning and this is the first thing I'm smelling. The cherry is more gentle and I can get a hint of like, a fog machine kind of smoky smell, or like you have just blown out a candle and the smoke is lingering. This is the first Toskovat I have tried and I just ordered more samples because I am so intrigued by this. Update: I've worn this in public and have gotten compliments on it. I also have picked up on notes of liquid latex like the kind you use to apply prosthetics. I love this fragrance and cannot wait to get a full bottle.

I'm so glad my very first Toskovat fragrance gets to be born screaming. It's in the most perfect way unlike any cherry. I see many people compare this to Tom Ford's cherry line but they couldn't be any more wrong. The cherry is like the first sip on a bang energy drink. It's bright, loud, and definitely appealing to others. In the first hour the cherry and latex go hand in hand making it so unique and different from any cherry scent out there. When it starts to dry down a little the cherry stays but the floral's and slight smoke accord come to play. After that its pretty straight forward. A cherry floral but with still a lot of character and able to be worn on so many different occasions. I'd recommend for parties, melancholic spring days, and winter afternoons. I absolutely love this fragrance, it falls right into the category of the bomb.com.... Scent 9/10, Sillage 7/10, longevity 7/10.

I was very suprised by this frangrance as I expected from Toskovať another unconventional and heavy frangrance. My first impression of Toskovať was the well know Inexcusable Evil, which I loved. I was intrigued by the plastic, latex notes mixed with cherry. I expected to smell like a hooker in a dark street of red lights and danger. But when I first smelled it I got a pure authentic cherry scent. Nothing synthetic, nothing kid like or syrupy imitations of cherry scent. But something you find in your garden, natural smell of a juicy cherry. I was almost shocked as I have never smelled any frangrance that is so identical to the real fruit. On my skin there's so plastic smell, just cherry in it's purest form. I was little dissapointed, beacause I expected something more unconventional with the latex note, but I must say this is the GREATEST cherry frangrance out there.

This stuff is amazing. I don't know if Im just coping because I just spend $80 on a 70% full 30ml, or its just that fucking good. Fragrantica's notes aren't fully correct. On the official toskovat website, it has notes of adult toys, latex, cds and so much more. You can see where they are going with the scents by the notes, but in reality it is an amazing rich deep and fragrance cherry. Sort of like cherry cough syrup that I used to get as a kid, but not as sweet and sharp. Projects well, lasts beautifully and overall an amazing scent. Really original. I love what toskovat does. 9.5/10 * Edit Ten days have past, and this scent has been really been weird. With most fragrances I either like it or not, but with this one, I absolutely love it some days and despise it the others. The cherry has became more plastic-y since I have first smelt it.

I love it. It opens up with the most realistic cherry I ever smelled, one very juicy cherry. But the thing that intrigues me it's not this beautiful and delicious cherry, but the thing that I feel under it, something hidden and unusual, can't put my finger on it, smells like something somewhat toxic that shouldn't be smelled, the first sniff i took created the image of the hospital I used to visit frequently as a child, for no reason, it has no correlation with the smells of a hospital but that's where it sent me. After all it's a beautiful fragrance, best cherry ever, very friendly, I expected something totally crazy after smelling inexcusable evil, but it seems that not all that Toskovat' releases must be that unfriendly to the masses. If I blind bought this i would not have regretted it.

Beautiful. Perfumery and artistry at the highest level. This fragrance perfectly encapsulates the nightlife experienced by so many. This fragrance takes you on a journey throughout the night, the excitement, the potential, the joy. Then it shifts, this fragrance loses its sweetness, Stripping away all Joy and Innocence. The best way i can describe it is as if you were watching a party from afar, seeing others laugh and love while you remain lost and alone. This fragrance grows from an innocent nightclub frag to an artificial mirage of happiness. An imitation,illusion of bliss perfectly encapsulating the reality of loneliness and the desire to love.

This is a delicious cherry fragrance, and the most unique one I have ever encountered. The scent is maraschino creamy cherry (there is no cream note but in combination, this really smells like cherry and cream), and latex. Almost all cherry fragrances rely on almond, chocolate, liqueur, or some other gourmand, and I really love those but the latex as a prominent note allows this cherry to be "purer," far more interesting. There is a spicy quality to the background notes, but not overpowering and the blend makes this a very unconventional but thoroughly enjoyable, novel scent. I could see this becoming a daily wear.

To me it smells like cherries, similar to Tom Ford Lost Cherry but with a latex twist. It kinda smells the way I would imagine a cherry scented red coloured PVC butt plug to smell like. It's an artificial cherry scent, like those car air fresheners you'd hang on the mirror. The opening is quite intense with this sweet cherry smell, but that latex smell adds an air of maturity which uplifts it from just smelling like a kid's tear-free Avon cherry shampoo. It's a very intriguing and sensual scent, something I'd imagine a manager of a strip club wear in the 80's.

SLEAZE. maraschino soaked cherries, booze, cigarettes, and latex sticking to sweat-dripped skin. its 1985 and everyone's railing 5 fat lines of blow at the club. everything's coated in plastic like some surreal, feverish dream. just below the candy-coated surface, something animalic and bestial. after a long search for unique cherry frags, I figured I'd give this one a try and it is an exceptionally well done contemporary take on cherry and very dissimilar in note structure to a lot of cherry frags out there that tend to lean gourmand or medicinal

Almost entirely "cherry" syrup medicine and almond extract on open. It does smell a little rubbery after a minute and I love the most recent comments connection to cherry flavored condoms. Agreed. Medicinal, bitter and sweet. Something that should not be going in my mouth but absolutely is. Its more a powdery latex than one well cleaned and oiled. Something amateur, something slutty, something far from sober. Its sticky and gross in the funnest most erotic way possible. Sure to make you nauseous the next morning. Love.

Its been around three months since I have reviewed this and bought. But now I honestly really enjoy this fragrance, I really understand what toskovat was doing with it. The weird notes do not pop out as much as you expect, a plastic-y cherry scent, sweet, syrupy and sticky cherry. I actually love this stuff now, sadly I have to savor it as I only have a 30ml, and this brand is really hard to stumble upon. Lasts forever, and projects beautifully, amazing. Quite medicinal in my opinion however, beware. 8.4/10

Acquired 2 samples of this as the full bottle is on the pricier side. Spicy cherry plastic, it reminds me of old scented kids’ toys. The burnt plastic is very forward imo, when I wear it outside I get wafts of it as well as a fake-ish cherry (compliment). I find it comforting as well as challenging which is a perfect combo for someone wanting a slightly uncanny scent. It’s very wearable still. Some faint hints of inflatable pool animal which is a thing I actively desire in my day-to-day life

Impressively wearable. I would say this is a great entry point to toskovat for new people such as myself (though my last bday cake sample was rancid so who knows) The synthetic cherry works so well with the plastic. There's a sweetness there too, which I'm assuming is accredited to the non listed "energy drink" note. It's just a really lovely scent. Makes me wanna drink and smoke in a good way. Probably best for wearing out, I'm wearing it in bed watching house midday though

the image of of sleaze. its a poisonous cherry syrup. inhibition and shallow desire as a fragrance. its a catch, but disgusting to spend time with. i will overspray this if i ever have to attend one of these nasty environments. does what it wants well. its attention and thrill seeking. -after wearing this for awhile i've come to enjoy it, it's definitely more of a clinical scent than what i first made it out to be. although it does also smell like cherry flavored lube.

wow i loved this. i was so excited when i got this in a sample today. it opens strong with florals and strong berries, then dries a little.... that’s where i fell in love. that plastic smell!?! it smelled exactly like a popped ballon and a dvd case... i can’t explain it. i get what he was doing. it later (1-2 hours) falls into a more muskier scent, like dried roses and light insense. i adored this scent, i definitely recommend!!

Smells like a sexy rocker chick. Bad decisions. Like a lot of people say, it is a bit medicine-like, but for me, it’s only for the first few minutes, but in a cool and tolerable way imo, then it fades into a juicy cherry scent that I don't wanna stop sniffing. Really sick.

I don't ever pick up cherry while wearing this, and the scent doesn't evolve much over time, but despite that its one of my favorites in my collection! It makes me smell like a fancy purse or what I imagine a dominatrix would smell like. Not for everyone, but I enjoy it.

This smells like plastic cherry bubblegum to me and I love it. I couldn't stop smelling it on my wrist and it lasted quite a long while. I've only tried three toskovat but I'd say that is the most wearable one I own. Will definitely be investing in a full bottle.

Wanted to adore this, and don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy it. I just don’t love it the way I thought I would. The opening is definitely the best part for me. I get a dry cherry note, somewhere between maraschino cherry, dried cherry, and a cherry cough drop left in the sun, but not in a bad way. It has that artificial cherry quality, but it still feels pretty and interesting. I also get a hit of plastic and latex in the beginning, along with a smoky quality, which I really wish stuck around longer. That synthetic edge is what drew me to it in the first place. As it develops, the cherry is still there, but it fades more into the background and the florals come forward. This is where I get a little conflicted. The floral heart is prominent and leans slightly sharp, narcotic, and vintage to my nose. It’s almost what I’d describe as screechy, but not enough that I dislike it. I think it may be the datura, rose, heliotrope, or some combination of the three giving it that specific powdery edge. It does not fully ruin the experience for me, but it shifts the scent away from what I expected. I do think Born Screaming is sexy in a strange way. It has this dry, dramatic, grimy, slightly uncomfortable quality that makes sense with the concept. It is not a clean cherry, not a juicy cherry, and not a straightforward gourmand. It’s darker than that. Even the plasticky opening feels darker and more bodily than playful. It brings to mind flavored condoms, berry lube, blow-up dolls, cheap cigarettes, absinthe, opium smoke, and shiny vinyl lingerie soaked in an absolutely obscene amount of perfume. Feels like a cherry note pressed into powdery florals, latex, musky skin-warm darkness, and a string of bad decisions made far too late at night. It smells less like a pretty cherry perfume and more like the dressing room of a seedy vintage brothel in a red light district. Overall, I like it. I respect the composition and I keep coming back to it because there is something genuinely intriguing about it. I just wish the florals were a little less prominent in the drydown and the plastic/latex facets lasted longer. Every time I try it, I feel a little differently. It’s one of those scents I don’t fully agree with, but still want to keep revisiting.

This smells like cherry medicine to me. I tried this with someone who lived through the 90s and she said it smelled like the packaging back them lmao. Very different and you do get the plastic latex in a way that's indescribable unless you smell it yourself. I like it but I wouldn't pay that much for a full bottle. Smells like a balloon and definitely like latex. This doesn't smell like dancing or a club to me. I'm trying it for the fourth or so time and it smells a lot like balloon to me now. You would need to explain why you're wearing this to someone. I find this deeply unsexy, compared to other reviews. Doesn't smell like a hospital but smells almost clinical to me in a good way.

If you’ve noticed the notes on this thing, it features a bunch of crazy shit like DvD case, adult toys, latex, pearl necklace, energy drink, and lots of cherry. It doesn’t sound right but once you actually try it, it all makes sense. The opening really does smell like a cherry condom (or at least what I think that would smell like lmao), and has that energy drink aspect that reminds me of a rockstar energy drink. The scent is not too far off from Tom Ford’s Cherry Smoke. Super youthful and flirty, this is actually pretty enjoyable and pretty tame. I feel like this would’ve popped off as a release from a large brand back in the 2000’s, it’s such a vibrant and punk scent.

this is such a weird fragrance that i do like a lot because of how interesting it is to smell. personally i don’t understand its association to winter/fall because for me it’s a hard spring night. something that i love about toskovat is how you typically can smell every single note, and they’re also usually pretty strong. cherry, plastic and smoke are the most prominent for me followed by the support of all the spicy warm woods in the base. something about it comes off a bit powdery too. i wish it was sweeter for my own personal preference so with that said i think its a strong masculine. not my least favorite toskovat but definitely fun

When I first got a sample the first 5 times I sprayed it I got some strange pissy vibes from it which I hated. Figured I’d try it again today and it’s quite nice I get notes of a plasticky cherry followed by smoke which is nice. Dry down it turns a bit more sweet and smoky. Very unique and challenging at first but it is really good. Biggest problem I have with it is that the longevity is subpar or at least on my skin it is, I get around 3-4 hours at a stretch but it is worth reapplying if you have to. Overall it’s an 8/10 because while it smells nice it doesn’t stand out to me as much as some other fragrances do.

it does give off something artificial, borderline medicine. but it’s weirdly enjoyable. you want to smell it again and again. great fragrance for a late night out but i also really enjoyed having it on while just being at home, doing my skin care routine and stuff, feeling like some femme fatale. if you dislike generic cherry frangances pls give it a try!! it’s nothing like you’re probably used to smelling

From a sample, not getting a whole bottle. This fragrance is hysterical! Brought a smile to my face. Feels a bit like a comedic, cheeky friend —especially with the name. It’s quite literal, smells like a latex party where people are wearing fruity fragrances. Reminds me a bit of water based lube as well. Not hard to imagine someone like John Waters loving this. Worth a try! Just not something I would wear.

This is one of the four Toskovat’ samples I got. This one is interesting. It is not the boozy, syrupy cherry. The cherry here is really bright and plays off the plastic/latex. It almost reminds me of the 90’s scented toys. The dry down on my skin is a nice cherry floral with a hint of the plastic. I like how the fruitiness tones down. I will say it’s wearable and actually different.

I must admit that my opinion on this scent has drastically improved recently. I wore it again, 6 sprays. I would be lying if I said that it didn't make me gag in the opening, but I pushed through to get to the dry down. It improves greatly as it begins to dry down. Longevity and projection are great.

A haze of cherry and subtle smoke lingering after a night out at a punk rock show in the warehouse district. Dries down to warm and faintly sweet amber, thick leather (the styrax?) and the faint burr of patchouli. I really liked the way this scent unfolded, though it’s not for the faint of heart.

That was an unexpected surprise. Cherry is prominent and as you would've expected, it is synthetic but still amazing. If you don't want realistic cherry notes then this is for you. It doesn't last as long as i would've wanted but still it's an amazing kind of freshie cherry.

Initially hyper synthetic cherry syrup, mellows down considerably to a cherry jam with a Silver Mountain Water-esque floral finish to it (?) Likeable, unisex leaning ever so slightly feminine, but I admittedly liked this much more on paper on first impressions
