Vestibule Terror

This is a party supplies store in a strange heat wave at the end of October. Warm latex masks, cheap melted chocolate, synthetic sweet fog machine, good lord this is so nostalgic. Its mildewy walls and rubber streaked floors. Little plastic bags of jacks and bouncy balls, gold coins and slimy hand slappers. I wanted to be a vampire for halloween so bad. Spent too long looking over the laminated wall of costume options for a black velvet dress. The one with deep scalloped sleeves and purple ribbon accents. I had miraculously talked me mom into buying me realistic vampire teeth. The kind where you would warm the wax in hot water, mold it to your canines and then decide you never want to take them out again. Never felt more myself. I did take them out, however, to eat candy and drink dry ice punch. Woke up on November, went to find them and put them back in only to learn my mom had thrown them away. Thats the reason I am evil today. Anyway. This is very similar to 1969s Female Christ. I now have two very mildew forward chocolate fragrances. How blessed I am.

This is a more refined take on a scent like Boccanera withiout the synthetic in-your-face attitude noticeable throughout Gaultieris catalogue. Potatoes and wasabi/pepper serve as the opening, and they really gracefully introduce the main ingredient- chocolate. And the chocolate in this scent is really elegant, albeit weirdly moist, which is not a bad thing. The pollen is noticeable and gives the chocolate a nice depth and adds a powdery facet to the whole experience. If the ataraxia release was more potent then damn, that must've been something, but this rerelease is certainly not bad, I would dare to say it is really great!

An incredible dusty, moldy, gourmand. For me, the chocolate and peppers are the most noticeable, with an old "off" scent that all toskovat fragrances have. Reminds me of those calculators from elementary school that look and smell like a chocolate bar. One of my favorites from the brand.

I don't know how the original smells like but from what I've heard this one is milder but I LOVE IT. For me, it smells like a wet cobblestone corridor in Dracula's castle as you pass trough rusty iron armours. It's such a nice date night summer scent imo.

I have a bottle, and holy moly is it pungent. starts off with this dirty, spicy dark chocolate with a hint of mildew, drying down into the most soft, musty pollen smell, like wading through a field of daffodils. it definitely captures the smell of an old, yet still in use, decrepit building collecting smells from the generations its been alive, like a dusty church, festering with fetid odours and relics collecting dust cumulating into one whole smell of warmth and almost community, it’s a smell which feels nostalgic yet recollects no memories to me. if you ever have the chance to smell it, do it, I wouldnt miss out. 7.5/10
