Tous Gold is so under-the-radar, I think! Tous is a Spanish jewelry brand that was founded in 1920, and is perhaps better known in Europe than the US, where I live, because I'd never heard of it until SHANA-J mentioned it on her YouTube channel. Tous is a floral aquatic in the same style as Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue or Estee Lauder Beyond Paradise, but doesn't really smell like either one of these. It opens with this very clean, almost starchy, slightly bitter, laundry-like floral scent, more reminiscent of Salvatore Ferragamo Pour Femme than anything else I've smelled, but has more sweet gardenia than the Ferragamo (though it looks like the main note they share is peony). TG is very clean, elegant, and "ladylike." Sometimes I just can't get enough of the loveliness! My only disappointment with both it, and its sister scent, Tous -- a more musky version, along the lines of Cacharel Noa -- is longevity. The longevity is sadly brief and I keep having to respray every hour or two to prevent it from becoming merely a skin scent. If you're a floral aquatic lover and don't mind light scents or the mild hassle of respraying, Tous Gold is definitely one to try. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: 9/9/22 Well, I've somewhat solved the problem of poor longevity with Tous Gold, thanks to another reviewer whose name I can't remember. She had the great suggestion of layering Tous Gold over Dame Perfumery Gardenia oil. It's true that Tous Gold is gardenia scent and Dame Gardenia is one of the most GORGEOUS and STRONG pure gardenias I've ever experienced. Tous Gold brings some other pretty stuff over top of that pure gardenia, and this amazing oil does a nice job of extending that scent.

This is what Elizabeth James (Natasha Richardson, rip) in Parent trap smells like. She has been one of the fictional characters I looked up to, since I was a little girl (her as a fictional person not the awkward love story and custodial agreements) I’m a new mom and now I understand why certain fragrance profiles are associated with being “matronly”. It’s because as mothers We have to be sensitive to our little ones noses, and often choose clean skin type scents. My daughter doesn’t snicker when she smells this one on me. Many of my heavier deeper perfumes are displeasing to her, so I am now trying to stick to light and creamy white type of perfumes. This perfume opens almost exactly like Nina Ricci love in paris, sharp, sparkly notes- but it dries down immediately to a creamy fresh floral lotion scent. It is absolutely beautiful and definitely maternal, clean and cozy. My husband loves this on me, as he does Nina’s love in paris. I’ve noticed that he always has preferred sparkling clean bright with lotion Ike dry down fragrances. It can be worn any time of the year and for any occasion-a perfect signature-let’s see how this plays out over the year ahead, as it might just be my go to. Update 2024: this will always be in my collection. A perfect signature. It’s uncomplicated but still brings up bright and sunny emotions. Wearing this is like having Natalie Coles “this will be” as the soundtrack that follows you everywhere. Perfect for errands, for work, for daytime weddings, for crowded small spaces, after the gym, on a hot summer day to refresh you or a cold winter day to cozy you up. And it lasts forever and a day on skin and clothes. Love

Thanks to Covid-19, I got a hold of this bottle randomly. I was sent a full, untouched bottle by a seller on an Ebay-like site just because I had bought another perfume from him and this bottle was chipped at the bottom and was to him, unsellable. So it came as a surprise. I had no idea TOUS made perfumes. I looked at the bottle and it looks really nice, super cute little bear that made me smile. I honestly thought it would smell like a generic cute perfume. I sprayed twice it on me. 1) INCREDIBLE smell. Very feminine, very fresh. This could easily be my new signature perfume. My husband is absolutely enchanted with it. His favourite on me used to be Insolence by Guerlain but now it's this one. I smell rosewood, peonies, musk. It's a very delicious and well-blended composition and not too sweet. You really feel like an elegant, high-class woman. 2) VERY long longevity. It's Saturday morning. I sprayed myself on Friday noon and I still smell this scent on me, my hair, my clothes. 3) The sillage is incredible! It absolutely filled my flat (2 rooms + kitchen). Conclusion: a keeper, a gem in a cute bottle at a rather cheap price. Just because a perfume is cheap, it doesn't mean it's bad.

This is good! Its bones remind me a lot of 5th Avenue, but its structure is smoother; softer some way. Well balanced and possessing symmetry, Gold is assertive, and sillage is strong, but still manages to be very pleasant for the wearer. It combines two heavy, woody fragrances, rosewood and cedar, yet those notes don't seem to dominate, and unless one were looking for them individually, they have integrated themselves into the center point of the fragrance, to strengthen the entire. In fact, it seems inconceivable that they are able to camouflage so well, until we look at the floral chords. Brazen use of gardenia and rose, are the perfect counterparts to the arrangement, and go toe to toe with the strong aromas of wood. Mindfully composed with softness from iris and musk, and sweetness from orange blossom and red currant leaf, a roundness develops; cylindrical in composure, full and complete. It is hard to dive deeper into that lovely shape captured in scent. A perfect bubble: It is smooth, woody floral, simply sweetened and oh so soft in its completeness.

So beautiful! I’m wearing this so much lately, I can’t help it! I had Covid nose and could barely smell this when I first got it. I was probably only getting 10% of its notes. Then I got better and one morning I sprayed it and almost died of shock- she was in her full glory!! This is the perfume equivalent of a fluffy teddy bear big enough to give you a full body hug. Cuddly, clean, soft. My husband smelled it and said he’d like a hotel room to smell of this when he walks in so he can go right to sleep. Does that mean I’ll go around smelling like my partners dream hotel room? I guess. I really enjoy clean, soft scents since I wear fragrance for comfort a lot. The florals and soft woods are dreamy in Tous Gold. I don’t get baby powder at all. It does not smell of a dated “granny” floral either. Soft, subtle, but still retains a lush floral feel. I can’t pick out certain flowers. So I don’t know which ones are doing what? I highly recommend trying this out.

Why is this not more popular really beats me. I bought the 15ml one blindly after reading the reviews and it was such a great success! I love it so much; I am not very good in describing fragrances, but it is just a very fresh, floral and...clean smell. It feels like I just had a nice bath and smell all clean and fresh! There's also this powdery smell to it that makes me feel even cleaner! The sillage is not bad! I had a chat with my mum a while after spraying and she was like, "Why do you smell so good?" It has such an affordable price tag too, definitely getting the full size when there's a sale someday Edit: after a few tries, I don't think I will be getting the full size--the longevity is too weak. Honestly, I am in love with this scent and even considered wearing it daily, but it would be really great if it lasts longer and I don't have to worry about it disappearing every 1 or 2 hours.

Soapy heaven!! Around $25 and it smells expensive! Soapy, soapy, soapy. Expensive soap sums this one up! I love it!! Perfect scent for work!! It isn't offensive necessarily but it ISSS strong! So do not overspray! 4-5 sprays MAX before you leave the house and by the time you get to work it will still be very noticeable but not overpowering. And to make it even better...it will last your whole work day. I get about 9 hours out of this baby. Definitely not a display-worthy bottle but who cares? The smells is beautiful. A 9/10 for me. Have already gotten several compliments in the 3 times I've worn this. This was my first buy from the Tous house and based on my experience with this one...I'll be back! =) Two thumbs up on this one! A definite love!

This is a nice likeable feminine scent which is suitable wearing in Tenerife climate - it’s fresh enough and not to sweet , but at the same time quite dense and you can feel it from yourself ( it’s often windy here and you don’t feel your perfume on yourself) . Usually I’m not very much into romantic very feminine scents , but there’s some exceptions- for example Tous Gold. I really enjoy it, i feel put together and elegant when wearing it. Tous Gold reminds me of Loewe Solo Ella EDP, though i like Ella a bit more, as it’s just more modern, but! Tous stays on me for a longer time in comparison to Ella, which I don’t feel in 30 min, despite of overspraying ( mind the climate). I really like Tous price to quality rate - impressive!

I love this perfume so much! Back in 2012 I first discovered this perfume when I was perfume sampling with my ex best friend in SaSa. She saw how much I loved this perfume and got me this for my birthday. Forward to 2026, today I was walking around Watsons, and saw a 4.5ml of gold tous. Immediately grabbed it. Came back home and put it on my wrist and gosh. Reminiscence of good old times. And guess what. I went online and bought the full sized bottle! FYI, I very seldom like florals but this will always be my exception. It smells like a luxurious soap. If you've ever tried the discontinued kenzo flower in the air and are a fan and miss it so much, this is the best alternative. Most of the notes are the same.

Edit: Gave this another try one year after my initial review, and I will be adding this to my collection. The drydown is worth the opening soapiness. It quickly transforms into a soft clean, creamy fragrance. It has good projection without being overpowering. Cozy but elegant, I love this in cold weather. --- Opening was very soapy and white floral, reminded me a lot of Chanel Gabrielle. After an hour though, the drydown is fascinating to me. It's warmer with more depth and almost woodiness. I don't dislike the opening but it's not my type of fragrance personally as the soapiness remains dominant throughout, however the drydown has something to it. Overall though, a pleasant and feminine scent.

Really really nice. Someone recommended this to me and I finally found a tester. It's a lovely floral woody blend. It's soft and rich and has the kind of rounded depth that speaks to me. Yes it's soapy, but I like that. There's even something a tiny bit tropical and coco-nutty in this. This facet reminds me a bit of Crystal Noir although these two scents are otherwise (thankfully) nothing alike, This is a mature scent that has a certain classic,timeless appeal. It just might be going on to my want list. ETA - I tested it a second time, liked it even better and just ordered a bottle!

In a nutshell this is a soapy white floral with twin woods - rosewood and cedar. The woods lend an olde worlde dimension to the white flowers. Tous Gold brings to mind the vibe of old Prague, making me want to break out a silk velvet kimono and string of pearls while sipping wine from a Bohemian crystal goblet. I discovered this in a gift shop on holidays and tested a quick spray just as the shop was closing. Afterwards I felt compelled to keep sniffing my wrist - ahhh, one of THOSE perfumes. Needless to say I acquired a FB soon after, and am still appreciating its beauty.

Dang, this is lovely and I've barely heard people talk about it! Starts off fresh and clean, and I'm reminded slightly of Avon Today in the beginning, in the best possible way. But the drydown gets creamier and smoother, with some amber and sandalwood coming in. This smells expensive and luxurious, and lasts a LONG time with great sillage, to boot. This is one that will earn you compliments like "you smells SO good" (instead of complimenting your perfume, specifically.) This is criminally underrated and can be found for a steal online. I'm so happy with this blind buy.

I gave it to my mom as a gift 5/6 years ago. Oh! I liked it so much when I tested it at the store! And my mom loved it so much she became a huge fan of this one. She bought herself more bottles when she finished the one I gave her. It's a beautiful modern floral. It has the perfect sillage (arm-length) and it's pretty safe. It can be worn at work and, basically, whenever you want. It's lovely!

Just blind bought this after watching Notes from Josephine on youtube talk about it. What can i say, WOW this is beautiful. Im not an expert on notes or anything, but this smells so delicate, feminine, soft and effortlessly luxurious. I think im gonna enjoy this all year round, and it can be worn to any occasion. If this was an outfit it would be an all white/ beige outfit. Beautiful

it does smells like Chanel No.5 little sister!! it has the same vibes but softer and mor delicate. I barely smell the woody notes, but have no problem with that. It linger on my body for more than 7 hours and got lots of compliment from my officemate. I cant believe that I found this gem in a drugstore, in discount area for less than 30 dollar!

This was a blind buy based on the reviews. I'm pleasantly surprised. Tous Gold has a lovely clean smell. I can definitely smell the rosewood but it's very feminine. The sillage and longevity is very good. After 5 hours I can still smell it.

Smells very similar to the caress bar soap (the original one), It is soft and creamy thanks to the gardenia, also a bit warm due to the rose wood. I'm not generally into soapy fragrances but this is a LOVE for me

super cool scent i love it from a long time

First, I attempted to sniff this in the store, but it didn't really impress me. However, I ended up purchasing Kaviar Gauche by Kaviar Gauche after falling in love with it upon the first sniff. One day, while shopping for perfume online, I came across a great deal - only $15 for a 30ml bottle of this fragrance. I thought, "Why not? I love the beautiful bottle, and adding it to my collection couldn't hurt." After holding onto it for nearly 3 months, I finally decided to wear it today, and I must say, I'm in love with its scent. It exudes a clean, fresh, and pretty vibe while also being relaxing, akin to bathing with expensive soap. The fragrance lingers on the skin quite well. For an even more soothing and addictive aroma, I suggest layering it with Kaviar Gauche. In my experience, Kaviar Gauche provides an addictive and pleasing freshness that I enjoy particularly when I'm stressed. When combined with Tous, it creates a fantastic and alluring blend. Furthermore, upon the initial spray, this fragrance reminded me of Hermes Un Jardin La Lagune. However, the similarity quickly fades as the white floral notes in Tous become more pronounced.

Agree with the previous reviews. This does in fact smell more expensive than what it is, so it is a great budget choice for when you want to smell classy and put together. It smells bright and a bit soapy. I’m not the biggest fan of peony (it can get screechy in combination with other notes) but I’m glad it’s not very apparent here. This is mostly white florals and wood. There’s something weird as an undertone that comes up in the background here and there if you really pay attention and I’m guessing it’s the red currant leaf. All in all, it’s an interesting choice for an everyday perfume that doesn’t smell like a copy of something else that’s already in the shelves. I’m satisfied and I think I’ll keep trying it more to get to know it. It’s not the smoothest/coziest scent but it feels very easy to like and wear so it could even be a year rounder. I can’t imagine anyone disliking this on someone else.

I just received this perfume today. I purchased it online as a blind buy due to its cute bottle, good reviews, and affordability. I wanted another clean scent that I was hoping would be clean, fresh n yet very cuddly (that warmth in the fragrance that makes u wana cuddle urself). However, this was all but warm. I am currently in love with guerlains eau de shalimar and that is clean n fresh at first but dries down to a sweet warm vanilla n iris...I have jst put this on about 30 mins ago and so far tous is clean n fresh n floral but no warmth (thought the white musk, rosewood n iris would warm the scent up a bit). It smells like many other florals I've encountered and to me it isn't anything special...jst a nice clean just showered smell. I will update this if the scent develops to anything more or less.

Very clean and floral! This frgarance has been sitting on my watch list for a while now and with the self quarantine/social distancing going on, i decided to do some online shopping and snag this. Upon first spray, i get a woody rose and gardenia. The peony isn't as strong as i expected, but it's detectable. I can't detect any other notes(i was hoping i could smell the Iris note).This is definitely one of those compliment getters because it's so inoffensive and clean smelling. May i add, it's very strong too. I washed my hands after spraying this on my hands and i can still smell it. The scent it left behind smells even better. If that's what the dry down smells like, then me and Tous Gold are going to get along just fine. Scent: 8/10 Packaging: 8/10 Performance: TBD

Just like Simoneall below, I bought this because Notes from Josephine raves about it and it was just so cheap. After reading the notes, I thought yea I’d like this I like all of these notes. BOI.... was I surprised I don’t know how in the world...but I get soft powdery expensive cereal LOL. I couldn’t place it at first, but there was something so nostalgic about this fragrance and I knew I smelled it somewhere...turns out it was the cereals I used to eat as a kid! It soft, slightly powdery sweet creamy EXPENSIVE cereal. Sounds so bizarre but it’s really quite nice! A bit like Homeycomb or fruity pebbles cereal Soft skin-like sillage which absolutely suits the type of frag that it is. Cozy bed/home fragrance. Lovely unique fragrance! I just don’t like the bottle!!

Mmmmmmmmmmm... this is absolutely a lovely scent! I blind bought this one after reading the very few reviews that can be found on this one! And did I fall in love with this smell! I live in Holland and this perfume can probably not be found in stores (at least... I never heard of this brand before and never saw it), but it can be found online! Yay!! A very fresh and sweet lovely scent! Cute bottle too! This is definately a keeper! I hope it will always be available online! Umm.... maybe I need to stack up on this... just in case ;)

Tous Gold as a very pleasurable cheerful Fragrance. It gives me a good feeling of caring and makes the Day a little bit brighter. It is a "feeling happy" Fragrance. It is a very floral Perfume. Very unique. The Gardenia and the Jasmin Sambac are in my Opinion the most prominent Notes. An Bouquet of bright Flowers. It is nothing sweet. The red Currant is also detectable just like the Peony. I received it as a blind buy and it was the most successful blind buy I ever made.

Gold by Tous smells of creamy gardenia, fresh peony, and sweet orange blossoms that are all smoothly blended into the most delightful note of Brazilian rosewood. As floral is this is, it is so pleasantly cozy! The rosewood adds some warmth that makes this scent so inviting – I get compliments from my friends and co-workers every time I wear it. It is great for both casual and office wear as it is very inoffensive. Excellent blind buy!

This is a nice one! A preppy and cosy scent for a sunny day. Absolutely lovely bottle and great price. Not the greatest performer, but well enough. To me it is a warm, but fresh summer scent. Makes me want to wear it in my next summer vacation in Spain. It reminds me quite a lot of NIVEA (not a fan of), its warmness, but fresher and some gardenia / something floral.

Basic high quality white flower, daytime scent. I have to agree with previous comment it smells more expensive than it really costs. But still kinda basic, non offensive scent for every day wear, not more than that. Surprisingly got me a lot of compliments, and somehow I used quite a lot of it without even noticing. So overall great deal.

This is a lovely fragrance. It is quite strong too. I find it very familiar. I have never smelt this Tous before, yet I have smelt a fragrance that smells exactly like this in the past. As an '80's girl, Im sure it's something from that era. If I work it out, I will come back and do an edit. I'm stumped at the moment to what it is...

Yes it does give “maternal” vibes, it is comforting, as other reviewer said it feels as being hugged by a maternal woman if that’s your chilhood association. Very floral, gardenia the most prominent. I don’t smell wood. It is pretty, and elegant in an understated way, I use it as a day fragrance. Makes you feel good!

Beautiful fragrance. Sparkling and dusty at the same time. Reminds me of the Tiffany fragrances, similar style, classy and clean. Lasts a long time with arm length sillage. Very underrated so you are not going to smell like everyone else. Smells expensive

This is a sweet floral clean scent, it’s really long lasting and it smells like you just got out of the shower. It’s clean and a bit powdery. It ́s also very elegant.

It took a couple of times before this grew on me. The first time I sprayed it on, I recoiled! The opening was very strong and somewhat shrieking. I was expecting something soft and buttery from the gardenia, which this did not provide. It gave me that "bug spray" note. I'm not sure what causes that, but it's not unlike what I get in the opening of Crystal Noir EDT. Eventually it softened into a woodsy, comforting scent, and I saw the beauty of the composition. In retrospect, I think my initial reaction came more from the surprise of getting something completely different than what I expected. I am wondering if it was the peony, which has a tendency to smell like chemicals on me at first. In any event, I did not give up, and I am happy to report that I am now enjoying this very much! There is something about how the rosewood, musk, and cedar work with the gardenia to form something very feminine and unique. It's now a solid like, and for the price, I consider it to be one of the biggest bargains out there. Longevity is good - 6+ hours on my skin - and the silage/projection is about arms length. I'm not crazy about the teddy bear cap, but apparently it's a Tous signature. I can live with it!

Tested it. Nice soapy , reminds me of Noa. Not too unique from other soapy frags. Thought the woods would be more prominent. But I was in a mall in Arabia so needless to say I am overwhelmed with woody scents and that's why it didn't stick out. ...no still a soapy scent like noa away from the mall..dry down also reminds me of Prada pour femme, a little honeyed and sweet.

A smoother and improved version of Versace Eros pour Femmes. Not groundbreaking but nice. Love the Tous flacons.

Pleasant but it's another generic white floral.

It seems like I am not a fan of Brazilian rosewood because that strange burnt sensation bothered me from the beginning of smelling it. However, I think this fragrance is for a hot woman who likes this type of smelling.

I blind bought this for a song with low expectations but this... really impressed me!if I had to characterize this I’d say it smells expensive, bright, pretty (in fact its one of those scents that makes you feel pretty when you put it on. A rare effect w/perfume!), clean and fresh in a unique way. In more tangible terms, I’d say yellow flowers with a dash of honey. Someone else mentioned it being arm length silage & I’d agree, duration 1-4 hours, but the bottle is so big and affordable, and it smells so beautiful it’s like aromatherapy so I didn’t mind at all respraying throughout the day. In fact I’m pretty sure I started carrying around the bottle in my purse to pull out and spray whenever I felt like it lol!! If you’re reading this because you’re deciding on whether to purchase, do it! I’d like to get another bottle myself but I have other perfume priorities at the moment.

This perfume was a blind buy due to the reviews. I absolutely love this perfume and last longer than most. The perfume smells classy to the point that you think you paid $100. I don't find this scent "clean." The scent of clean to me is something like Clean by dlish. I love clean scents and the best for clean scent is Dlish "Ultimate clean." The more this scent sits on your body or clothjng the scents gets better. These scent can be worn all day. I feel like a million bucks and confidence level rises because I know I smell amazing. I am in my early 30, I know age is important when purchasing a scent. Deb

I remember how excited I was when I blind bought this perfume. I definitely was not let down. This is one of my favorite perfumes, and one of the few in my large collection that I would repurchase. It’s very affordable too. It smells to me so soapy and clean, I absolutely love it. To me the bottle is gorgeous and unique as well. I love the teddy bear cap and I find it hilarious someone once pointed out it looks like a teddy bear with double D titties lmaoo. 10/10 recommend to anyone.

I bought it after the Alessandro Dell Aqua stopped as it is one of the fragrances that are similar to it. Soapy clean, warm, light, really charming perfume although you need to spray and spray...!!! I can feel iris in it (which seems to be my dearest ingredient.. ) and rose. I love powdery iris scents, it is what I usually look for in a perfume and I recommend it ! I think though as it is light and implying suits better younger women till mid 30s.

So so so love this perfume. I finally found my perfume. This perfume smell like Zwitsal baby lotion. My daughter said I smell like I just took a shower. It's fresh and flower and musky.....I will buy more of this. My sister also love this perfume. One of my favorite perfume, maybe the first one...Yayyyy Thank you, Tous.

I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s just me but to me this just smells like a baby fresh out of the bath. Like soapy clean fresh diapered newborn baby that’s just been slapped with baby powder. Not my taste personally. Maybe I just don’t like soapy fragrances but I don’t personally want to smell like this.

Soft and sophisticated. Wish it lasts even longer! After awhile I don't seem to smell it but I think it's just me getting used to it and the fact that it is close to skin and so delicate
