Fougère d'Antibes

Interesting and sophisticated. Lovely citrus opening. So many present day citrus scents veer toward cleaning supplies to my nose, but this gives you open air lemons in leafy Mediterranean shade. It reminds me a bit of Eau de Patou. More accurately, it’s the 2025 version of an Eau de Patou woman’s scent. The pumpkin does something really interesting to the other notes. I had a mac and cheese dish once that wasn’t mac and cheese at all, it was pumpkin and vegan noodles. I honestly didn’t realize the dish was cheese free until I was told. I’m not sure if that analogy resonates if you’ve never had vegan mac and cheese, but the pumpkin here seems to lend creaminess, amplifying the petitgrain, in particular. The sandalwood is very high quality and not aggressive. I’m not really noticing chamomile in this wear. Delightful. Sillage moderate.

So happy to be the first to review this fragrance. I met the perfumer at ScentWeekLA2023. Terry Carter. Super sweet man and talented nose! This was my favorite of the three fragrances I smelled.. First spray is a super citrus blast that fills your lungs like a rush of fresh air. Then a pine sort of green and a wash of chamomile. It is very very unique. Lovely. refreshing. dry down goes deep into the petitgrain which dominates for the remainder of its longevity - about 6 to 7 hours. Def worth a try if you are a green frag fan.
