Received this today in a happy swop (thanks very much to smelling_gr8). My review is for Gardenia Musk No4, I think the notes listed above are for the 'sexy' Gardenia Musk No4 version and are therefore wrong. According to Trish McEvoy's website the correct notes are Gardenia, Musk, Lily of the Valley and Honeysuckle. Anyway.. It's rather nice.. I am repulsed by strong white florals and this is sooo.. gentle. It's most definitely a great 'garden' scent for people who dislike the olfactory experience of being smacked in the face with a bunch of shouting flowers. This is how it goes for me.. Straight away - delightful sparkle, sharp top notes, fresh, flowers prominent 30 mins in - equal balance between flowers and musk, both warm and floral 2 hours and counting - musk takes over and leaves a faint trace of floral. It reminds me at this stage of Mediterranean gardens in the evening in very hot weather in that it 'oozes' in a nectarous way. I imagine if you could 'touch the smell' that it would feel sticky. I find this very sexy. I would definitely wear this on a summer evening and hope for a sharp hot storm to accompany it's moody dry down. A gentle floral with a sexy musky ending.

Love this. Been wearing it for about 5 years. Very soft and easy ...not cloying. Gardenia is beautiful and balanced well by the musk. Wish it was easier to get.

Honestly, an awful fragrance. Lasts around 15 mins on your skin then leaves a sickly stale sweet-ish scent behind.

I agree with myolderbrother--the truest gardenia I have ever smelled!!! Not cloying in the least--I love this!!! Have to admit--will be looking for a larger bottle...and lotion...and gel...Wonderful!

Heavenly. Floral Gardenia/Spicy Musk - no killer raunchy, plastic afterburn - GARDENIA and MUSK. Love it & have had many compliments where people actually recognize it as gardenia fragrance.
