I will squeeze for you the remaining petals trying to put a smile on your face which I’m not seeing anymore Let me scatter lots and lots of Myrrh beads close to my heart which it’s ashes didn’t extinguished yet, so maybe it will catch a thread of your shade and rise with it up high across the sky. Can you see these clouds?? It’s just your shadow, which is looking far away The tobacco bushes gaze at it, bent by the sunset winds, and the solid oud trees trying in vain to standstill Because your ghost had already torn the essence of its heart that lays in between its ribs... but in complete satisfaction. Can you see her returning it back in her way home? Or the date will be where your shadow disappears up high in the sky.

New formulation This one opens with a quite strong combo of “grape kool-aid” champaca, hay/leather toned Indian Oud and pink lotus. Shortly following, a myrrh and frankincense combo appears. About an hour or so in, a dry tobacco emerges, which combines really well with the incense to lend a subtly sweet spiciness to the mix. The Indian Oud starts to die down and the resinous Vietnamese oud starts to take over in its stead. The champaca and lotus are still there, but more subdued. Towards the end of the very long wear, the labdanum and vanilla combine to form a nice amber accord, supporting the smooth Oudiness. The Sandalwood must have been hiding deep in there somewhere because I didn’t pick it up. What an excellent finish to my exploration of TRNP!

Dum Mast E Qalandar, Ali Ali Ali. A fragrance befitting of its name, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan being the most famous sufi singer of the modern era and Night Song being the title of his last album. A complex, resinous, sweet tobacco/oud fragrance. This makes for a heavy, spicy fragrance, with all the notes masterfully on show. It smells opulent and luxurious and invokes a sense of emotion. Well blended with moderate projection and sillage. Good longevity.

Night Song always doesn't betray. Its materials may complicated, but it's felt simple. Myrrh, Champaka and Oud are very intensive, so it’s spicy, dark and dry. And I feel a scent like strong cinnamon at first. After that, it changes warm and begin to speak and sing kindly and comfortably with woody and resinic moods by Labdanum, Mysore Sandalwood and Frankincense. Aromatic Tobacco is highly effective. A person who wore Night Song for a first time wish to keep it only for oneself, but sometimes would like to share with everyone. The scent will long lasting. Wonderful.

I get a slightly shampooey (but not unpleasant) champaca, some sour terpy olibanum, a smooth blend of tobacco, myrrh and labdanum, and a nice tame oud. Altogether the composition makes me think of a stick of floral incense that hasn't been lit yet. Overall very unique smelling, and rather unisex. This is a fragrance for cold days. I need to explore this house more.

I've had a sample of this for quite a long time now and have hardly spent any time with it until today. This, like all TRNP frags, is a powerhouse. It feels like tropical florals in an ancient wooden temple, which has absorbed all the spice and incense burned within it over the many years, and is set deep within a dense humid tropical jungle. There is a sweetness to it but NOTHING sugary whatsoever. Rather, it has the subtle natural sweetness of a tropical flower, rich and dense and chewy, but not overly sweet. It's almost like the florals were added specifically for a hint of sweetness to an otherwise quite heavy rich woody but smooth fragrance that has veins of spicy tobacco and incense running through it. The oud, which is not too medicinal to my nose, is forward and provides a backbone for the florals. Nightsong is potent and intense but so intoxicatingly beautiful. It has the power to work well in winter, but the humid moist heat of summer would make this absolutely sing (if worn v sparingly!). For me, the champaca is the hero in this fragrance - w/o it I think this would be a very masculine oud fragrance. I presume the vanilla also participates in adding to the sweetness but I can't smell it per se. It may be blended with the champaca to create the lovely floral accord. The whole thing is blended v well. The spicy incense 'flavour' of the olibanum and myrrh is here too but not overpoweringly and not at all smoky. I wonder if the myrrh is providing the ever so slightly camphorous/mentholated tone I keep getting as I whiff deeply from my skin? Or perhaps that's the oud? I'm not sure. I suspect Nightsong would not be everyone's cup of tea and, in the current market of sugary treats, I imagine it would repel a great many diabetic noses. But I'm loving it.

Balmy sweet myrrh. I got introduced to this brand by "kirrineyears" without him being noticing. I believe he was commenting on one of the articles in here but i don't remember which and he was wearing of "TRNP" fragrances and some of "TRNP" blend were his favorites in his page. so firstly kirrineyears thank you for introducing me to this brand unconsciously :) Now, "Night Song" is a night vintage, a classic symphony that plays goth & kind of mysterious devilish scene. As a matter of facts, i see this one is the smell of "Dr. Frank Ravinel's" cloak (played by Bruce Boxleitner) when he runs into the carnival luring "Marion Ravinel" (played by Melissa Gilbert) scene in the remake of "Les Diaboliques" movie, the made-for-television movie "House Of Sevrets". You can smell the richness of the cloak, the thickness of the material with hints of skin, tobacco, and orchid. It is a heavy myrrh blend that smells bit like mamool (Arabian Bokhour) with it's tropical orchid, champaca mix with bits of creamy tobacco and balmy myrrh. This is an incredible heavy mysterous yet dark scent with vintage vibes. The sweetness is quite thick as well and partially cloying but i believe it's just to lightens the juice. Brilliant.

My first TRNP purchase alongside Garden of Pleasures. This is some potent juice. Two sprays on each side of my neck and it powered through the entire day. I will stick to one spray each side next time as my friend said it was too strong - never a bad thing in my book though. It opens with a similar floral note as GOP (champaca) and it shares the oud in the base as well so these two perfumes are certainly relatable. Night Song however has the incense and vanilla vibe which smell awesome together. It reminds me of how an ice cold rum and coke looks... it smells almost liquidy on skin which is refreshing alongside the sweetness of the blend. I think this is an amazing scent and although it leans slightly feminine in my opinion, I still love to wear it. Hats off to Teone for making such a wonderful and powerful perfume with all natural ingredients.

What is the difference between this and the devotion version?! This is a first impression review since this is from a sample... Anyway, this one smells a lot like zoologist dragonfly (first version) it's actually quite nice! It has that floral-shampoo vibe coming from the champaca. Surprisingly the tobacco is detectable in the far backround where it probably needs to be. I think this is the same tobacco used in ambre narguille (not a clone) if anything, this is pretty close to dragonfly because of how the florals are used here. Worth a try? Absolutely! Update: Wow yeah!! This does carry the florals from dragonfly and has the tobacco switch at the end like how it was with ambre narguille! Well....now that I wore it a second time, it smells like a blast of ass... I don't get how and why this fragrance did an abrupt U-turn

I'm not getting a whole lot of the romantic "night song" that my mind wants to conjure up just going by the name. Rather this is more kin to a stormy tune, a bit of a heavy metal ballad perhaps. It's soulful and dramatic. Deep but loud. Oud, yes, I do pick up the naturalness of the ingredient. Dirty but not too animalic, somewhat dry but deep. There is also a hint of bittersweet cacao and a sourness too, like the bright lemony edges of frankincense (olibanum) and of cistus (labdanum), perhaps also attributed to the raw floralcy. Indeed Night Song feels rather cosmic and dark, and a little confrontational. Slightly boozy too, like taking a shot of rye at midnight then opening the top button of your shirt with a roar.

Oooh, beautiful, thick, opulent, dark juice. All the notes listed are definitely there, but they are so well blended that none of the individual note stands out too much. The entire result somewhat, to my nose, smells like grapes, or raisins, drenched in booze in an ancient wooden bowl surrounded by incense. It's smooth and beautiful, and there's no doubt about the high quality ingredients put in to make this, but to me it feels - against all odds, a bit boring for the price tag and hence doesn't fully justify the full bottle investment.
