Elae

This is my go to for special occasions; fancy dinners, dates, you name it, I grab this. I'm a dude, and this is apparently a feminine scent, which is definitely a little misleading. YES, it is more on the feminine side, but I have ZERO reservations about this being my signature scent. I have never smelled anything like this before, with the warm spicy, floral, sophisticated, ambery mix just absolutely blowing me away from when I had first tried it. Well actually my mother had sampled it in a store - it lingered on her for the entire rest of the day, and I was transfixed by the one-of-a-kind scent that had been lingering throughout the house for the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. This was such a pleasant scent to me that I went back the next day, and having forgotten which scent it was that we had sampled, immediately recognized it after testing a few. Of course, I bought it on the spot (price was a little off-putting but I do think it is worth it, as I point out later) This is such an insanely sophisticated and comforting scent, the likes of which I have never encountered, and I highly, highly, HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE who liked fragrances, given you can stomach the slightly enormous price tag (that said, for the scent, if the likes of Tom Ford perfumes are worth it 200+ dollars, this is certainly also worth it).

Reviewing a bottle from 2025. Elae was launched in 2019. This is a modern and elegant white floral which is subtle enough for any occasion. Elae opens with soft citrus - Moroccan neroli quickly followed by Egyptian jasmine and Ylang Ylang. The apple note is not perceptible. Fresh and minimally indolic on a bed of Australian Sandalwood. Warmed with vanillic Laotian Benzoin. I do not find it spicy nor is it sweet or fruity. Beautifully blended in it's simplicity with no artificial or cloying facets. Visiting the beautiful Trudon store in Paris I was impressed by Elae as well as Mortal and my favorite Trudon II. I am always searching for natural white florals that are not intrusive and can be worn at work or for dinner. Elae is perfect in this regard although better longevity would be nice. Perhaps we can hope for an extrait version. Quality- excellent Unisex but leans Feminine Performance- average -stays close, lasts 3- 4 hours Elegant easy to wear high quality white floral. Not unique or earth shattering but very well done. Trudon has 15ml travel sizes which are a great option to a full bottle. 7.5/10

I love this one , The sweet almost abit spicy opening. very strange to say spicy ,there isent spice in there but it feels deep and slightly spice creamy on my skin mixing so well with the Neroli and apple in the begining . Somehow this remind me abit of Rare Gold Avon and poem from back in the days . they do not smell the same but something about the second stage of it with the ylang and jasmin mingelig with the sweetnes in the top makes me think of it smelled from afar. The sandalwood and benzoin rounds this of so well . the jasmin and ylang never disapears on skin . It just changes abit to something so warm and cosy . The whole scent on me is rather warm and comforting . makes me think about long warm summer nights when the flowers realy starts to waft around you . Truly a beautiful romantic scent. The scent itself is pretty strong on skin , A little goes a long way . although i wish i stayed on a little longer then it does . it dies down after around 6 hour ,and disapears quickly ,maybe i need to spray more on clothes aswell . love this one regardles

Whenever I put this sample on I try to convince myself it’s not that special. Just a few notes, a pretty simple white floral. Many are saying this and I guess they’re not wrong. But it’s probably the most beautiful white floral scent I’ve smelled. The longer it’s on, the better it gets. Still not worth $280 a bottle unless you’ve got real deep pockets. But wow. Their website lists green apple and I definitely get a lot of that. I don’t generally love green apple but I think this whole simple composition may just be a prime example of the difference that quality ingredients makes. Update: I think it’s been a week now since I sprayed this on my sweatshirt and it’s still going strong. I’m honestly pretty in love. I think this would even be hot on a man because it’s just so absolutely gorgeous.

Elae is a beautiful floral. Very modern but absolutely classic, is it impressive right? How much does it cost today to create a perfume that is simple, elegant and feminine, that can be classic but that lives in 2022. Well, Elae is ... A bulky tuberose that is not at all indole, with a touch of sweetness from the red apple. Jasmine also resonates and turns Elae's end into Alice's dream ... It is a floral that brightens your days, it makes you a woman without being serious and you do not feel like a child either ... it is not serious but it is not childish either. Full perfume that is not too strong or too loose ... a simple floral but not a simple floral. Recommended for all those who want an old school perfume but do not want to look like excessives...

Very wearable white floral / yellow floral hybrid. Golden and nectary with more panache than the musky shampoo and body lotion scents that usually loiter in this category. Elae opens with soapy, green neroli, a peach-like note (frangipani?) and ylang ylang with the jasmine resting, waiting for skin warmth before things bloom into an evenly balanced triangle of flowers, of jasmine, ylang ylang and neroli. Tropical florals are often too ripe and fruity for my palate but this one I love. It's moderately feminine but not massively. What makes Elae special is how the green banana of the ylang ylang holds its own with the white flowers. I'm converted. A soothing, vanillic benzoin and a mild, Chamade -like sandalwood appear in the drydown.

The profile who would love this scent are those that appreciate old school white florals with a proud projection. My first impression was underwhelming, but now that I've worn it a few times I realize it is a more complex, sophisticated composition that leans more oriental floral. I would love to hear from someone who bought the discovery set; this house is promising. The Trudon official website says the notes are Fragrance pyramid top Moroccan Neroli, Apple Heart Notes Egyptian Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang bottom Laotian Benzoin, Australian Sandalwood Elae is simple and elegant. This is meant to be subtle I think. You only need one, light spray. Anything more would be overpowering and unnecessary. Elae is deceptive in that she is a duckling which becomes a swan if you give her time and attention.

The notes are incomplete, it opens with bright neroli and bergamote. Tuberose is, for me, even more pronounced than the rest of the flowers. It's more about tuberose than anything else. Bright, green, natural and full-bodied. If, for whatever reason, you want an alternative to Carnal Flower, this might be it. It's that good. High tuberose content, naturalistic interpretation and fabulous quality.

Okay I’m a guy and bought this. My wife loves this on me. Sensual fragrance. Not just for the ladies. Guys should give this a try. Bought this on the spot after a quick spray on my forearm. This one you could wear year round so it’s great value to put in rotation as not all summer days are hot and not all winter days are freezing cold.

Glorious. This one reminds me of Ellie Saab Le Parfum, but It’s just so pure and natural. I had one spray (from a little official sample) after dinner and Elae tormented me with its beauty all night. So longevity is quite good.

Umm... this is absolutely gorgeous. I picture this as the scent of a hazy afternoon nap on a utopian summer's day. Very sophisticated white floral. As others have mentioned below, the dry down is worth waiting for.

This is a very nice fragrance and I have to say, it's almost worth buying it for me. I'd say this fragrance is a 7.5/10 in my book. I buy fragrances when I think that they are an 8/10 or more. It smells very elegant, grown up and sophisticated, but it doesn't smell old. I think that you could wear this practically anywhere during the day from spring right up until fall, even including the workplace if you only sprayed one to 1 1⁄2 a spritz from the nozzle into the air and walked through it. The sillage and longevity are both medium and I feel you get what you pay for with this fragrance. It lasts about 4 hours on me. In the top notes I don't smell the apple, but I smell the more bitter and fresh nuances of the neroli note. Its white floral nuances, too. I can't really smell the citrus nuances of neroli in this. In the heart notes I can then smell the jasmine, with the indoles dialed down. The spicy facets of the ylang ylang then almost make this smell like a slightly green tuberose like you'd get in Do Son, with the camphor and tuberose's sometimes mildly mothball quality taken out. The base is then moderately woody with its sandalwood note, but I can't smell the benzoin at the base of this fragrance. This perfume is definitely what I'd called a moderately woody and somewhat spicy white floral with a moderate amount of sweetness. As I said it's nice, but not wow. I think I would like it better as candle, which makes sense because Trudon are experts at candles. I reccomend people to try this and I think many people would like it, since we all have different tastes.

A luminous transitional fragrance for cool early Spring. This is for a woman who knows her own mind. Out of a lot of fragrance samples, this was one I wanted to try on skin first. It was not the most "likeable" but it was the one that made me feel the most. Smelling Elae inspires me. It has a mature feel but not "dated" or quite like anything I've smelled on a particular person, past or present. I smell cardamom, orange, rosemary at the opening (a bit harsh at first) then it settles into sophisticated pepper, lots of JASMINE, benzoin, and slight powdery sandalwood. It is a woody white floral - uplifting, slightly fresh, but balanced with enough depth. I used to love fragrance balms by In Fiore, but they stopped making them. This is one of the closest things I've smelled to those In Fiore fragrances. Sort of a mystical quality. Signature fragrance worthy. Cons: It's fading quickly to sandalwood (although the lingering dry down is nice and smooth) and I wonder how "likeable" it will be to others. To some it may just be a "light white floral woody fragrance" but to me it's quite charismatic. UPDATE: I bought this fragrance and enjoy it. It's not alluring but rather feels like a beautiful cool weather mystical Spring moment in time. It reminds me of a spa candle and so I wear it when that is how I want to feel...which turns out is not that often haha! I spray this on my clothing or it does not give me the same effect on my skin - just kind of dull sandalwood there. It lasts FOREVER on clothing - like, I cannot wash it out.

Delicate white and yellow florals with strong opening projection. I tend to get headaches with white floral scents but this one uses such high quality ingredients that I can enjoy it without having to worry. Very natural, high quality tuberose appears to be the prominent note throughout. Sweet jasmine, neroli and ylang-ylang are all noticed in the opening in a well blended balance behind a green, light floral tuberose. The dry down is where this fragrance shines. A light brush of benzoin creates a smooth, almost-vanilla-woody base with just a whisper of sharp but subtle Australian sandalwood to add depth, while the pretty top florals settle in a perfect harmony of yellow and white, slightly sweet yet very natural. This fragrance will dance on your skin all day to create an aura of feminine beauty. Light floral and tuberose lovers will adore the delicate and feminine, sophisticated simplicity of Elae. I don't know why this addition from Maison Trudon isn't more highly rated, it's a beautiful angel in disguise. This scent is quite versatile, I can imagine someone wearing Elae to add soft feminine beauty to their daily lunches, outings, or smart-casual events.

This is a white floral that is appropriate for any season. This opens with noticeable jasmine, orange blossom (not a listed note, but feels like it's there) and neroli. The ylang-ylang rounds it out and gives it just a hint of a tropical floral feel. Fairly quickly after the opening it warms up with the benzoin giving a bit of a vanillic effect. As it dries down I get a warm amber and sandalwood--and neroli. The neroli persists the entire time. It's white floral and tropical enough for the summer, but warm and resinous enough for the winter. This is a very strong like (borderline love) for me. It lasts all day on me, but I wish it projected off my skin more. The note list on Fragrantica isn't accurate (just an FYI).

For me its a little bit boring. I have tried it during autumn and it has no special vibes for me. Maybe during spring it developes another way. It is safe fragrance for daily wearing to the office, uplifting, floral fresh and quite sweet. I recognize neroli and citruses. But drydown is much more better: woody/jasmin waw, what a surprisly better feeling. I would rather choose MFK Apom, which is not my favourite, but it has that niche smell from the beginning. Elae remindes me something from 90ties, my sister maybe have had the similar one.

Pleasantly clear white floral perfume, simple and yet sophisticated. From men perspective It smells quite attractive for summer or spring, but in winter I would not enjoy smelling this. An event I would appreciate it is a posh dance club next to beach in July and girl wearing white and airy clothes. It needs transparency and air to combine with otherwise becomes quickly narcotic.

Not wow but plesantly pretty. It reminds me of a rich body butter cream. I don't get singel notes at all. It reminds me of a cream my grandma used. Might not be a full bottle purchas as I feel I could easaly find sonething identical, but then I don't know. I have to test it further, it might be headache inducing to me.

Pretty white floral with a touch of exotic sweetness by the ylang ylang. At the 30-minute mark, I can make out a metallic note in the background. Would be perfect for a special occasion during the day.

pretty! so spring. maybe a little harsh when first sprayed, but dries down to a softer muskier scent with the sandalwood note. doesn't seem to last super long, 2 or 3 hours.

I love it so much. My favourite fragrance so far

It's one thing for a fragrance to be attractive. Elae is very attractive. This is without doubt. But it's another for a fragrance to truly move me, and Elae, while expertly crafted and exquisite, falls short of doing just that. It's as if its almost too perfect. It's like the uncanny perfect symmetry on a human face. They say we are attracted to symmetry, but if we generate a perfectly symmetrical face, there is something deep within our primate brain that somehow perceives the image is not quite real. Elae has the perfectly laid out jasmine accord, sunny and pretty and a little wet, rendered golden and almost antiseptic by an exact neroli. There is the suggestion of yellow floral here, lending a bit of humidity, but besides that, it is lacking that "grit" that I would desire in such a composition. It's just a bit too niminy-piminy to excite me. It is immaculate, and that is its exact fault. Give me a floral that has a soul, a story, a bit of wear and tear in its undercarriage that lends an odor of sex and finitude. Give me that, not Elae.

Apple blossom with sandalwood and something a little bit spicy, clove maybe. Perfectly pleasant, quite light. White florals can give me a headache so not a winner for me.

Got this as a sample. It is more so a layering scent for me; as a fragrance it smells like it is unfinished somehow. Pure jasmine with hints of ylang-ylang.

Elae is pretty, floral, clean but it falls short of moving me, grabbing my attention. Nothing in this composition evokes a story or even a feeling. -Pass

For me Elae smells unfinished. Like an outline for a better perfume. Jasmine sambac with hints of ylang with a synthetic smelling woody base. How basic can you get?! This is extremely disappointing from such an expensive niche brand. I also smell an anise vibe here. This is not well blended. It smells amateurish. Like a 1st days perfume students D grade.

Not exactly but it gives me l'eau by d'issey miyake vibes. Trying for divine feminine, nurturing & giving, but the effect comes off as a bit type-cast, boring and basic.

A generic brainless "white floral" probably designed as money grabber aimed at the mass market. A stark contrast with their earlier releases which are much more interesting, bolder, more daring. Trudon has become lame.

I’m not sure why this perfume doesn’t get more love. I tested this side by side with Solar Blossom which is much more highly rated - and I can confirm the dry down is identical. But the opening for both are quite different. I’m a big fan of Mizensir and own several, but there is something in the signature musk in SB that just didn’t sit right for me in this type of white floral - feeling a bit.. musty. Where as Elae opens with a fresh spring breeze, somewhat generic, I agree, though the dry down is really where the magic happens with a creamy base that just smells of luxury and warm summer days. I love it so much that I did choose to go a full bottle over Solar Blossom (I went with Tres Chere instead for Mizensir) and I know I won’t regret it. I recommend taking some time and wait for the dry down before dismissing it.

Quite a straightforward white floral with not many surprises. There really SHOULD be a surprise in this one, really, there should, but because it's lacking, it's quite predictable, safe and ultimately not anything I would go for. It's not that it's 'white floral', or 'girly' or whatever, nothing like that at all -- it's how unadventurous it is. Bortnikoff would've added a balsam to this, Russian Adam would've dropped some stank musk or animalic notes -- another missed opportunity. I also got a bit of a house accord within this scent and it's not something I'm crazy about -- it's a floral-spice element, sorta like Dihydro Beta Ionone (stab in the dark), or some kind of violet-aldehyde aggregate, and it's not used all that well. Anyway, that's what I think -- thanks for listening to my TED talk.

This is gorgeous on the dry down, I love wearing it to work to feel put together, sophisticated, but feminine-- but I won't buy a full bottle because for the first thirty minutes, it smells like bug spray to me.

Ylang ylang the most prominent to my nose, then jasmine, then benzoin. Has the signature Trudon accord that I get across all of their fragrances which is something of an incense to my nose.

A likeable white floral with a bit of apple in the opening but barely even a skin scent by the three hour mark.

This is a spicy floral that keeps reminding me Amouage Love Delight... anyone else?
