Midnight Omen

Smells fantastic, soft suede and cosy sandalwood, elegant stuff. But unfortunately it was short lived, maybe 3-4 hours and I’m shoving my face in my wrist, frantically searching for the slightest whiff of anything! For over £200 that’s a shame...

These negative reviews might genuinely be the worst scent palettes ever. It is warm and strong but not overpowering, and it carries depth. Anyone who says this is anything other than "okay" is inherently wrong; I will die on that hill.

Very cool almost metallic fragrance. Powdery, a little mossy, herbal. Absolutely no warmth or woods (I don’t smell most of the notes listed to be honest). Like a cold metal bath in a forest?

Very strongly chokable powder perfume straight from the beginning, maybe too much. Thankfully and interestingly (thumbs up for that idea) it is dimnished by presence of green pepper, than very subtle line of red sweet candies but...overpriced as hell for where it stands after first testing. No woody or other fresh notes. Not disturbing.

I have no idea how these otherwise lovely notes combined to create the awful stench of "old women getting perms in a salon" on me, but that's exactly what happens. There is nothing sweet, fruity, spicy, or musky going on here. Just a sulfur stink from the depths of Hades.

This hurts my feelings so bad. This is sadly an ambroxen bomb of some sort Its so screechy you cant smell any of the amazing notes listed

I tried to figure this one out before looking at any notes. Going off a sample on my wrist from a 2ml... I immediately detected citrus and amber in the opening. I got the sweet citrus opening, but it was curbed and rounded off with the warm amber that prevented it from just being all citrus. At that moment, I looked at the notes and saw that there was indeed Mandarin and Amber in the notes. Within minutes, I was able to detect a soft leather, and those earlier notes had disappeared. All I get now is the leather (or suede). It's still soft though, and it has some sweetness to it lingering in the background, which could be the florals that are still lingering, and thank the lord for that, because I don't like when all I can detect is leather. All in all, it is the remnants of the leather that is making me not like this one as much as I did at first.

Saffron and violet are the central notes. And cashmere. This trio brings to mind Byredo's violet-based fragrances.Bibliothèque and Unnamed flit through my mind, but this has more of a leather nuance than those. Their discontinued Midnight Candy also comes to mind.
