Drifter

Unlike what others have said the projection and silage is weak-er.. but decent on me. It’s no Bond No 9 SOP as far as beast mode, but wow this juice smells good to me. Best blind buy of the year. It’s a “translucent” or very muted fruity woody scent, and reminds me of a summer evening on the beach. Blended extremely well and I do get apricot, maybe, but it smells like if the fruit notes were whipped into a mousse. Not sharp at all. Amazing. I’d compare it like this: it’s a hi-chew to the starbursts of designer fruit fragrances. Creamy and soft, and reminds me a bit of English Laundry Tahitian Waters. If I had to pick one or the other it would be Drifter for sure. And I love Tahitian Waters. Age group would be high school and up, possibly college, spring/summer and day to night. Some people have said it’s not for the club scene but I’m in a club every Thursday and Saturday and I can’t wait to wear it tonight. I also get major compliments on BR Cypress Cedar in the club.. long story short there is no “club scent”. Considering the price, it’s uniqueness, and how it just smells increadible to me.. overall.. amazing juice

This is an excellent fruit-forward and woody cologne. It hits your with a big punch of a sweet fruit cocktail and has a nice woody base underneath it. That’s mostly what I get out of it. It’s a very linear fragrance, virtually unchanging from the moment I put it on. Has good longevity, can smell it on my wrist 7-8 hrs later from 2 sprays. Sillage is decent too, I get whiffs of it going up to my nose for ~3 hours after putting it on, so I assume it pushes out decently. Because it’s so sweet and rich I actually find myself reaching for it in the winter too. Despite it not really having any spice, it’s a pretty dense fragrance so I find it to be pretty good for most seasons. Its sweetness does make it a bit more of a casual wear, and definitely leans more youthful. Overall extremely happy for $20. If you don’t have a fruity men’s fragrance, highly recommend the pickup.

I kind of forced this one on my husband. Smelled it on a very attractive man I once knew and fell in love with it. It is my absolute favorite men's fragrance. It's so well balanced, both warm and sweet. The dry down has a hint of spiciness that makes me think of a sexy sweaty man, which probably doesn't sound good for the nose but it appeals to me very much. Unfortunately, this one has a different reaction on my husband than it did on my old friend and it's not as appealing but still a good solid scent for any man. Maybe it's just that it's more of a young man's fragrance.

This is the kind of cologne that doesn't project too much.. but it's one of those that once a girl gets close to you they go crazy about. Smells very nice and lasts quite a while, at least on my skin I had no issues whatsoever. Used it early in the morning, around 5 am when I left my house, came back at 11:30 still smell strong, went to sleep for a few hours, woke up at 1 ish, could still smell it, just not as much, if I had to rate it's def. a 8.5/10 smells nice and unique in a way, it's not very used, as it's not popular so impression on the other person is pretty good.

Taylor...!!! What an ugly thing to say. I think Drifter is actually quite nice, and very unique. And for those entering the fragrance game, this is an excellent introduction to a complex and possibly signature worthy scent. Multi-seasonal, decent longevity, soothing, refreshing, and clean. What in heavens did Drifter ever do to you to leave such a crass and churlish review? Take it back.

This is such an awesome cheapie has a nice, prominent berry note to it with a touch of masculinity. It does have a bit of mysteriousness to it, which is why I feel the name is fitting as well as the bottle style. The concept of this fragrance is executed very well for its price don't miss out on this one

This is one of my signature colognes for all year around. Very Nice scent and last for 8-10 hours on my skin sometimes 12 Highly recommend

Pros: -Can be found at a very low price -Decent start out cologne -Nice light & sweet scent that would be best described as aqua red fruits and berries -People close to you (physically) will compliment you on it -Hardly smells "cologny" so you can bypass those people with sensitive noses -Versatile usage in basis settings (shopping, eating out, home alone) -All seasons, anytime scent -Lasts moderatly well using some techniques -Definitly is something targeted for the "teen" crowd but can work for others fine -For some strange reason I associate this cologne with the colour red, and in fact call it my "red scent" Cons: -Very light sillage -It does start to fade very quickly after applying -Its not something that really hits home as it is too light -Many will find that sillage is poor -Not something that you would use in statement settings (Date, nightclub, etc...) -Spraying a lot on you to increase longetivity will drain your bottle quickly -Its not something I would consider a "drifter" wearing I bought this cologne on sale for next to nothing. It is a decent cologne that I mainly use when I am home or going out to do general things like shopping or meeting a friend. This is the only cologne so far that confuses me in scent. Looking at the notes you can highly influence somebody into believing what it smells like. At first I always thought it smelt of a mixture of red berries, now I think it smells like apples and berries. Reading the notes I did start noticing an aqua scent and also a ginger scent. It doesn't seem to want to be just one thing but many. However that is not a bad thing. It does however, allow you to change peoples perspectives on what its primary notes are. In regards to sillage there is really none. For longetivity I normally spray 8-10 times (3 around neck, 3 on chest, 1 on each wrist, 1 on the antecubital spaces ("inside elbow") and give it an hour before meeting anybody as this cologne does fade quickly but if liberally applied, can last quite some time. ***WARNING*** IT WILL BE EXTREMELY STRONG AT FIRST. However I have never had anybody complain about it being too strong(after the hour wait time). I have been complimented on it but only by somebody who was litterally by my neck; so after so many sprays, people need to be practically on you to enjoy. Its a great grab and go cologne as the price won't make you feel guilty for wearing it when you are alone at home. If you are looking to get used to colognes I would recommend it, however don't expect people to really notice it on you. Buy it for yourself to enjoy, not for others.

An extremely creative exercise in merging different elements into one product. Drifter presents us with a professional and competent attempt to merge fruity, citric, spicy and aromatic tones into one fashion designer brand buttressed by an excellent marketing campaign. What do you get with Drifter besides a fantastic bottle of bohemian insinuations that contrasts dramatically with the $200-400 asking price for a pair of jeans from this faux hipster/hippie suburbanite mall institution? A very quality mainstream release that didn't resonate with buyers despite its creativity and originality in attempting to pair blackberry, apricot, pear, ginger and woods into a cohesive modern release. The accords themselves as a whole are very unique and exciting for the genre of aromatic fruity, truly incorporating a range of kitchen cabinet favorites like pear and apricot with the darker tones of blackberry and lighter spice of ginger in a very innovative way. Unfortunately, the composition as a whole is extremely soft and flighty. There's not a lot of power or projection after an hour when the top wears off. I would say more about this fragrance if there was more performance to speak of. It's absolutely lovely in its balance of freshness and fruitiness and the risks the designers took with it, giving us something rather unique. On my skin I simply don't get the performance required to give this a full assessment. I'm lucky to get 5 hours and by the first or second it's a fleeting fragrance of mostly soft sandalwood and watery vetiver with a hint of amber. Within 15-30 minutes Drifter becomes a skin scent, even with 3 sprays. I give it an incomplete on final product and an A for innovation and conception, it simply needed a bit more follow through on the product development and test market sides of the business before release.

Words I'd use to describe this are a bold and rich scent that has this warmth and spiciness. It's aromatic with some citrus and sweetness without it being girly or sickly. To me it's a red style of cologne more than anything. I just hate how you can't tell how little you have in the bottle without practically destroying it. It's in a plastic bottle which has to be a first for me as if anyone has ever made sauce, soda or things like that you'd know how thinking long term plastic is a bad idea unless you go through cologne bottles fast. Especially since this cologne wasn't some cheap bargain bin scent. I think I paid around 70$ for the gift set. This has solid projection, definitely beast mode and the longevity is really good as well. It's not some eternal 12+ hour fragrance but anything more than 8 hours can get a bit annoying.I live in a neighborhood where people struggle to talk to each yet I've gotten my share of unsolicited complements wearing this. I've got about 20 fragrances right now so that's an accomplishment to get others to talk. I'd suggest this for dates, intimate moments, clubs or anywhere with lots of energy. Possibly fall or summer and any time in the daylight. The age from someones first bottle of cologne that isn't out of a body spray tin to almost anyone. I like the somewhat nod to polo perfumes with the similar brass looking cap. I just wish they spent less money on the leather and brass cap so it could bring the budget down so they could sell this more affordably to get this in the hands of more people to try out the first year or so to get people talking about them.

Whereas the original is a hybrid citrus aromatic fougere, Drifter trades the citrus for fruity and woody notes. These are blended with classic herbal fougere aromatics and a touch of powder. The woods only become readily apparent on the drydown, giving this a nice evolution and a touch of complexity. This is a very good change of pace from standard aromatic fougeres and a logical evolution of the original True Religion. This is good for all occasions and environments. It should appeal to older users, especially those who already use aromatic fougeres. It is not appropriate for women due to the fougere notes and likely won't appeal to younger users who prefer the modern sweet and fresh style. Performance is average, so be prepared to overspray on first application and respray occasionally throughout the day. Recommended for fougere lovers like myself.

Honestly, I bought this on a whim today. I remember seeing reviews on it a while back and thought I might like it, but I just never picked it up. Today, I saw it and grabbed it, and I’m kinda mad I didn’t do so sooner. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t going to knock your socks off, but there’s something about it that’s very playful and nice. It’s slightly fruity without being feminine; it’s a masculine fruity scent that you can definitely spray on daily. It’s not overpowering, won’t offend people, and you can overspray a little without clearing out a room; it still smells nice even though it doesn’t have much sillage. As a personal everyday wear for myself, this is great. I live in Florida, and this is perfect for this type of weather; it’s tropical but still keeps its masculine charm. I’ll definitely grab another bottle if I see one, but for $20 for 100ml, this is a no-brainer and a safe blind buy. You’re not going to dislike it. It may not be your favorite, but you will definitely enjoy the smell of this one.

Don’t let some of these negative reviews fool you. This is an underrated, if maybe a little unsurprising, men’s scent. It’s an enjoyable crowd pleaser that most people, especially girls, are gonna dig smelling on you. It’s pretty sweet, but not in a cloying or unmasculine way. I see this as a perfect scent for summer vacations. While none of the fruits in the note breakdown are tropical, they kind of come off as tropical to me, maybe because of the sandalwood or water notes to push the scent in that direction. Also, because of its unremarkable performance I see this as the sort of scent that you would want to spray on quickly when you’re about to head out to the beach or go on some fun excursion and then reapply later when you get back or something. Also, a final piece of advice: never buy this anywhere other than rack stores. It’s $19.99 if you buy it from Ross, but somewhere around $40 just about everywhere else online (as of the writing of this review). It’s a great buy at the $19.99 price point.

Man this would be a total banger if it just projected more and lasted longer! I totally get the standout Apricot note and it is unique and amazing! This is a fragrance that has it's own unique profile but still smelling very nice and appealing! This would get tons of love but I think many people look over it because they've heard that is doesn't perform. Unfortunately it does perform like a cheap designer. The smell is very pleasant and great for the gym or casual but if it performed better I would say that it would be a party or night out fragrance! It's up to you where you want to wear it but you will have to respray every 2-3 hours roughly. The smell though is a 9/10 easily!

This one surprised me. It’s got a juicy, fresh opening that really works — kind of fruity with a touch of spice, and just enough warmth to keep it interesting. Not super complex, but there’s something really likable about it. The blackberry and ginger combo gives it a fun, energetic feel, and the dry down with woods and tonka adds a nice smoothness. It leans casual, but not cheap. Performance is okay — not a beast, but decent for what it is. Honestly, it’s just a feel-good scent. Simple, but a low-key banger.

I agree is nice and at the same time is strange but in some elements is intriguing without be a complex scent. Very hard to identify notes and transitions. At first the smell is intense, saturated and unclear, some fruity & wet touch with a minimal flowery tune changing into the aromatic-semi spicy watery final phase, in the end the smell is easy to enjoy ,is quiet, manly, versatile and maybe sexy.

I picked this up for 20$ from a Ross and I'm very pleasantly surprised. for the price the scent is just a pleasant woody and fruity sort of green scent and it smells really nice. the performance is not bad either so this is absolutely an underrated cheapie! also plus on the bottle design, it's definitely one of the cooler ones in my collection!

Now im not sure if my nose is broken, but i cannot pick up all the notes in this. I only get citrus. I was gifted this a few months back, After a little i can pick up some sweetness but thats about it. doesn’t have much if a smell. very fresh citrus. it’s pleasant but i might need to give it time to grow on me. i’ll keep this updated.

eh it is ok... reminds me of a younger mans cologne. nice, but it seems like it would wear off fast. not impressed. really loves Bleu De Chanel and Chrome by Azzaro. worth it to check them out!

Orange, woody mixture, a lil weak, not what I imagine as a drifter, but still a nice scent. Sadly, I expected too much from a designer label, and thats my own downfall.

Just revisited this and it smells like Lysol disinfectant spray. Don't know what I was getting before.

Not bad but nothing great either. This one is ok for running errands or sitting at home.

I had a small 0.25 oz sprayer of this and I went through it fairly quickly. I got it in a gift set with a few other classic scents. I just ran out of it today for my last wearing, so I only thought it fitting that I put my thoughts about on here. Scent: It opens up fruity, aquatic, and sort of airy. Of course that doesn't last long, and as it changes, what I get is the Guaiac wood, amber, and sandalwood. It pretty much stayed that way on me for the entire duration. The scent isn't bad. That being said, I don't think it's that awesome either. I'm glad I got a chance to test it. Rating: 6/10 Projection: Not good. Not good at all. It projected for what I would estimate as an hour and a half. It performed that way consistently every time I wore this stuff. I sprayed it on at about 9:30 this morning. I ran some errands this morning and I was told I smelled good for about the first hour I had it on. I came home and had family over and asked them if they could smell anything. They had to get very, very close to me to even smell this one. I could not believe it didn't last that long. I was so disappointed. Rating: 3/10 Longevity: Not good. 0/2 in the performance category. I sprayed it at 9:30 AM and it was completely gone from my skin at 1 PM. 3 1/2 hours. Not good. Even for a designer scent, this is not up to par at all. Rating: 2/10 Final Rating: 3.7/10. The scent was the only good thing about this one sadly. If you're looking for something that will perform and be worth the money, I would steer clear of this. I know they're having a 50% of sale on it at the moment and it runs like $35 USD. I still wouldn't pay that type of money for this poor of performance. Glad I got to test it at least.

This smells clean and simple. I feel as if I've just stepped out of the shower when I wear this one. It's not like the shower gel vibes you get from A&F Fierce. Instead, it gives off subtle fruity soap-like vibes. I really adore this fragrance. It's especially nice when worn in the evening during summer. The bottle may leads you to believe that this is some sort of biker fragrance but it's not, at least to my nose. It's more of a simple white shirt and jeans type of scent 6/10

Very subtle. not strong, has a fresh clean fruity smell thats easy to pull off in summer. not bad.

It was made in the same vein as J.D. Pozo On El. Drifter is sharper and stronger at first than On El, still it stays close to the skin. A big fruitbasket but only apricot is prominent. I can't separate the other notes and this scent very quickly settles down and the notes meld into each other somehow. Longevity is 2-3 hours on me , sillage is literally 0. The general impression is a masculine but soft skinscent. Recommended only for summer, in other season no one notices it...nor does the wearer. I wish I haven't payed so much for an almost-nothing scent...

this is not what I expected, I tested both TR's, original and drifter, and both I have to give'em away because didn't like them at all, thanks God they were for test. May be some people like them, but at least me I can't smell'em anymore.

The woodsy notes seem to overpower anything else in the cologne. There is a small fruity scent and it's a lighter cologne that some tend to be but it's not my style.

Interesting bottle, bad scent. From the ad copy: "...inspired by the bohemian, hippie..." Stop right there. I hate hippies. No wonder I don't like this stuff.

on my skin this stuff smells like a wet cat. This is a definite scrubber. It smells good on paper, but not on my skin at all.

Imagine a drifter, his hair being blown by a blackberry and ginger wind, notes of water as his sweat rolls down his cheeks, not because its hot but because he is wearing a thick leather jacket that tells the world is he a lonely wanderer, he is drifting, in search of a fragrance that is more of an idea than a fragrance. That is exactly what you get with this fragrance. It is more of an idea than a fragrance. It is an empty idea of a pathetic perfume maker who has no idea who he is or where he is going. It is not a drifter, its a homeless man who eats his own turds and doesnt even share his turds with the people who bought him the food that allowed him to even make the turds to begin with. I do not recommend this fragrance.

This one surprised me. I ordered something entirely different but the person gave me a sample(s) of this and others as well. Put it on and yeah it has that typical generic like ~2000-2015ish 'masculine' teen to 40's smell. The kinda vague 'cologne-y' smell, know what I mean? BUT, like an hour later I smelled where I sprayed and whoa. A nice, not hefty, fruity type of smell. I guess it's some kind of woody fruity combination that is actually pretty dang nice. Surprised. Don't buy it for the opening smell, give it a bit... THAT is the good stuff.

This is the nicest Aromatic Fruity scent that I have ever come across. It's fresh, sweet, and fruity with a bite of some tartness. There is a hint of aquatic character but it is well tamed by the fruit fest. It's not dark nor edgy as the bottle suggests. It never get artificial nor too sweet either. It is just nice fresh smell for this group. In fact, I think it's nicer than Azzaro Chrome Legend or Jesus Del Pozo Quasar; the other two Aromatic Fruity frags that I have tried before. The Drifter is not as mellow as these two.

its sort of like red lacoste or something along those lines in smell but not as bright. It lasts a long time and they tried for the bottle with a different look and feel compared to another cheap glass or plastic bottle. I tried a tester last year around boxing day not expecting much but I was really surprised with how it smelled.

Kind of a similar type of ed hardy love and luck type vibe with this...very light and can barely smell after applying..would prefer something a Lil stronger and noticeable...but its not a bad scent..nice but not exceptional in my opinion..smells like fresh apricots...score 7/10...

I had this in 2011 and it turned into a skin scent in 1 hour, I remember I was on the bus and I was looking around because It smelled like pure human poop. Only to realize that it was this fragrance not mixing well with my skin. Would never buy the again.

to give you an idea, is the acqua di gio essenza with a touch of apricot smell...this is all...turns towards aquatic more than fruity at least on the paper.

Terrible perfume. And I hardly ever say negative things about perfumes. Smells synthetic. Harsh.
