Trussardi A Way for Him

It reminds me slightly of Joop! Jump. At first sniff that resemblence was a huge flaw to me. But after couple of tests I found it to be genuine in it's very own way, definitely in accordance with modern Trussardi approach for masculine fragrances. It has soul of Uomo, sharp, citrusy, elegant. I could sworn there is leather at the drydown. But overall performance is more fruity and crispy. Vanilla note over woods and fruit is just perfect. And it lasts well. To me it's superb release, this Trussardi on vacation. Especially for summer, casual (but not only) moments. EDIT: After wearing it for a while I want to add that green apple note is very distinct after spray, then there is grapefruit and that note together with sweetnes of woods and vanilla resembles tonka/vetiver combo in mentioned Joop! Jump. But the core and drydown is oddly reminding me of heute parfum Givenchy Xeryus Rouge. I am aware that many refined noses here will hate that comparison, but again, as an olfactory amateur, I find these particular notes of vanilla together with citric, bright notes (citruses and maybe misterious salicylates aknowledged by Trussardi Parfums) similar to pimento/orange/cedar/sandalwood Xeryus Rouge. I think this fragrance offers much "more than meets the eye". It's obviously a modern, contemporary formula for young spirts (another), but after thinking of (one would say overthinking) phases of this fragrance I honestly agree with the concept of a way linked with it, because of actually surprising aspects of this composition that could seem generic at the first sniff, but shines while wearing. I find it very pleasing and chic. Not intimidating, but in a particular, happy way. A Way of welcomming and nostalgia of wishing farewell to summer.

nice smelling scent ! it only lasts for about 3-5 hours max on my skin. and it projects slightly below average (we dont want this type of scent to be over projecting as well, cause it will be cloying for sure if so) i can detect it easily for the first 1-2 hours. it becomes skin scent afterwards. wish it performs better :( and yes, in terms of scent, i love it ! nb: just spray on clothes to make this one lasts longer :D

I recently bought the newest YSL Y le parfum as a blind buy, and that one smells exactly like this Trussardi which I own for several years now. I think this Trussardi is much smoother in the dry down. Projection and performance is just ok, 5-7h, while the YSL perform 8-10h. Trussardi is an underrated company

I rather enjoy this. I can't recall what size I bought, either 30 or 50ml from Shopper's Drug Mart. It's like none of the above, but as one person suggested before, like a mix of many others. Regardless, it's very versatile and the bottle is collectible worthy Maybe it's a touch like Versace V/S, despite no shared notes. Safe blind buy. Probably would've worn a 100ml.

I tested it today, my saying is it's just like another fresh type fragrance, bunch out there. Not so great but not bad, a summer type refreshing but doesn't last too long. I wouldn't grab it now but if I don't have many summer fragrance, I'll probably get it just for the sake. Trussardi bares the name, surely an italian power designer in the 90's. Rating 6.5/10

This starts off smelling like just citrus. After like an hour it smells like just vanilla and woody. Nothing else. I feel like this is perfect for a summer time vanilla fragrance. Most vanilla fragrances are better suited for the winter.

I resonate with Anywhereyouar's review. The grapefruit and apple just swallow up any other notes in this composition, even the acquatic vibe. To be fair, I'm not crazy about either one, but they can both be done rightly and often depend on other notes surrounding them. The longevity on this is pretty decent for a fragrance like this, projection is also slightly stronger than you might expect. Was a blind buy and ended up giving this to a friend.

I just picked this up for under $20 bucks for a 50ml and although it smells great there are some issues. First things first let’s get this out of the way. This is not not a Joop or Varavtos clone that others have voted for. I’m glad I didn’t even look on here for what this is close to because I would have been pretty pissed. Once the opening alcohol dissipates you get some lemon, but the dominant note in here is the Grapefruit. I learned from a smart reviewer here on this site not long ago that we shouldn’t be using the words generic or synthetic, so I’ve been trying to curve my wordings in future reviews. Generic smelling still doesn’t explain to anyone looking to make a decision if it’s for them, and most people’s noses can’t differentiate between something that synthetic or natural. Nowadays, these companies are so good with their synthetics that you’d have to be a serious cologne connoisseur with an understanding of scientific molecules to differentiate between the two, there are definitely a lot of people in this community that can tell the difference, but for the average collector it would be hard. The people who can afford the $400 dollar bottles and up can have a better understanding between synthetic and natural smelling scents. So I’ll say this instead of generic, I’ve smelled this before everywhere. As far as the synthetics of this bottle, let’s just say that it’s not the highest of quality in terms of notes, it’s pleasant for the first 25 minutes, and then turns into a skin scent by the hour. I’m not trying to shit on this stuff, but I don’t get the the wood, and patchouli whatsoever. In the deep deep dry down I do pick up some extremely faint vanilla, but if I didn’t look on here at the notes I would have never guessed that these notes were in here, all I smell is grapefruit, lemon, and maybe apple. In some ways this reminds me of a Versace Eros Flame, but it’s “not” a clone, it’s almost as if this is a mix of a lot of commercial scents smucked together, which then leads me to think that this has no true personality of its own. I would consider this office safe and for the summer. To me this is an average scent 6/10. The performance is holding me back from giving this a higher score. I’m not going to lie to anyone and say this is great just for some balloons beside my review. I owe to the rest of you to help with a blind buy or to save your money. Skip to the next one and save your cash boys.

I don't get the negative reviews that bash this - I got this while I was going for the Bleu de Chanel because something pulled me towards the Trussardi. At first I thought I'd made a mistake - on first smell it does feel generic, but once settled on your skin it smells amazing. I like how it gives off a vanilla scent but there are no vanilla notes in it and it reminds me of summer. People have already started asking me the name of it and I've only had it for 2 days. I'd only change this for Sauvage, other than that it's a great perfume.

I bought A Way for Her and found a little vial of the men's version taped inside the box. Huzzah for free gifts! I can't say this fragrance really stands out from any other men's fragrances of this type, but it is nice. Warm and masculine, though not overwhelmingly so. Maybe a little bit sweeter than your standard men's fragrance, but other than that nothing different. I certainly wouldn't mind being around a man that smelled of this, but I doubt it would really drive me crazy, either.

Lately tried that.. for me it's something that reminds you a lot from the past, but not in an exceptional way to be necessarily in my wardrobe, an unoriginal feel of smell come to me, while smelled this many times when testing fragrances; not bad though if you want something massive that most of the commercial houses produce all these years. Not a sparkle for me but respecting everyone's taste!

Another sporty, watery scent like so many others. Apart from the watery notes it smells also ozonic and green. If that is what you're looking for and you are easily satisfied with this kind of genre you might enjoy it. Nevertheless for my liking it is not special enough. I'd rate it rather poor.

I'm not shure but this is closest to the Trussardi I remember from about ten years ago? That bottle was full sky blue, transparent 30ml size, very sweet smell. Anybody remember? I could not find such a bottle among all these Trussards here. Maybe it's this fragrance (but in full blue bottle?)?

This fragrance is really good and will people asking you what fragrance you’re wearing. Smells amazing and it’s a shame it hasn’t really taken off but maybe that’s good as you’ll smell unique. I believe they have discontinued this product but luckily I’m able to find it on eBay.

Very nice one! Perfect for summer with its easy going positive vibe while still maintaining the Trussardi style and elegance. Definitely a winner with good sillage and longevity! The new Trussardi generation does not disappoint with its releases! Nicola would be proud!

This is sweet and a little powdery. It smells like a mix of Only The Brave and Nikos Sculpture. Likeable but not much more than that.

This one is below a meh 😕. Save your time and money. Nothing to see here. Next!
