Sage’s Rose

I am on an eternal hunt for THE ONE rose perfume. Dare I say, I think I’ve finally found it? To me, this is truly one of the most perfect rose fragrances I have ever smelled. It’s gorgeously blended. It opens with a sugary rose - not jammy, but delicately sweet. What an amazing take. The sugar doesn’t overpower the rose like some fruity notes do, it simply accentuates it. There’s only a hint of geranium (which is a good thing), giving it a slight edge. A dash of patchouli and amber in the base makes this rose rich and warm. However, rose is the star of the show, of course. This is a creative, artsy, nostalgic, slightly thorny, even seductive rose. There is no stuffiness, but no freshness either, it’s perfectly balanced. This is a late summer evening walk to nowhere, holding a heap of orange roses, the smell of nature warmed by the day’s heat lingering in the air, thinking about a sweet kiss from your lover. Masterpiece.

Already on my 2nd bottle! Such a it-girl, cool girl, hot perfume! Hottest-girl-at-the-bar vibes. Confident, bold, mysterious. Not a typical floral rose, there is some darkness, sweetness, a fizzy/sparkling type of scent. So fun! Reminds me of my discontinued signature scent Viktor&Rolf's Magic Dancing Roses, as it is a bold, sparkling, warm, jammy rose. All Tsu Lange Yor scents have incredible longevity

Came back to leave a second review! Gahh this perfume is what I've been looking for all my life. My signature scent (I'm a man btw). For context, I've never held onto a perfume for over 3 months because i get bored very easily. But this beauty ticks every damn box. Scent? Check. Uniqueness? Check. Performance? Check!!!! Please do check this out and try it on skin. I cannot recommend this enough!!!!

Juicy, candied, jammy rose of my dreams! cut through with an underlying lovely dark resinous amber that keeps it unisex, almost spicy, almost smokey, definitely beautiful and full and warm for fall and winter!!! One spray and I was in heaven, I've never known so instantly that I'd need to purchase a full bottle of a fragrance, love everything by Tsu Lange Yor but this is stunning

This is genuinely the worlds best scent. I’m a big perfumerier but this one really stands out- everyone asks me what i’m wearing and where to get it. It’s a fresh rose with a warm twist that is long lasting!! The packaging is so beautiful too - I would really recommend this it’s the perfect scent for all day every day and night!

Sages Rose is pure understated luxury- fresh, grounded and effortlessly elegant. It feels like wearing confidence and calm at once, leaving a soft trail that people notice without ever feeling overpowering A true signature scent- timeless and unforgettable. Easily 5/5

One of the best rose perfumes of modern times.... An outstanding sweet jammy inoffensive rose composition with fantastic performance! Perfectly unisex imo. Bloody hell troye sivan you cooked with this one. Big fan of the line

Love this scent, sometimes prefer smelling it on other people than wearing it myself because of the sweeter top note but I am keen to wear it on the upcoming balmy summer nights.

Sages rose is an unexpected vixen. I have a reasonable perfume collection, and tend to drift mostly towards niche and indie scents, but this one was such an unexpected winner I immediately scrambled and brought it online after trying. This is an “ mainstream Mecca” perfume that smells way more complex and hard to find than it is. It’s got that indie rawness that perfumes rarely have- strong without being screechy, heavy and resinous without being migraine inducing. For me, this is an incredibly cool girl at a natural wine bar who mixed her roll on incense oils from the hippy shop with a last minute spritz of her mums vintage Shalimar perfume. She is unbothered, but leaves a scent trail that makes others double take. The sweetness is heady but never heads overly gourmand. I sprayed a sample spritz on at the start of the day and at 11:30 night when I was rolling into bed my partner commented on my pleasant incensey smell. I have previously tried pool from this house and enjoyed it a few times, but not enough to buy a bottle. However, I rushed to own this. A new hyper fixation for the foreseeable future, a staple musky rose worth exploring, and a permanent addition to my shelf.

Initially was a bit confused about the hype because on first sniff I simply thought, well, there are tonnes of rose fragrances just like this. But as it wears it leaves a nice airy trail and I understand why it’s so likeable. As other reviews have said, it’s not a super jammy rose, it’s not really sweet. As per the description it’s perfectly balanced between floral and woody aspects. This is straight up what it says on the box. It’s a very simple rose woods resinous scent that gives you everything you want. I think it’s so wearable because it’s so simple. That said, there truly are so many similar scents out there, and I personally want a bit more oomph or something unique out of my fragrances so I’m not sure how much wear I will get out of this.

Omg. I generally feel sick at the smell of cigarettes at this point in my life, but this would be so amazing with a thin veil of cig smoke over top. (I don’t encourage tobacco use.) A very “leather jacket” kind of fragrance to me. Begins extremely spicy, dark and jammy: the myrrh and rose dominate, resinous, and very dense. After a while, as others have said, the sugar comes in. I sense it as a crystalline, brown demerara sugar — more molasses complexity versus sparkly candied rose petals. Lingering on my clothes, Sage’s Rose is sweet, leathery without being animal, tea-like and dusty in a sexy way. So feminine, and balanced with darkness. Decent longevity. Can’t wait to buy.

A super super special rose. To label it simply as a rose fragrance isn’t fitting for my experience of this scent. It’s very unique and multi faceted, and I could imagine it pulling a myriad of ways on different people. I enjoy the first scent released from this house, found the others not right for me, until this one- which is now easily my favourite. Beautiful- and I think has achieved something rare in that it is unique but still being appealing to many. As well as this, the design and bottle are gorgeous. Well done!

Musk (specifically musk/rose-flavoured lifesavers) over a patchouli base. Has enough "chalk" in it to keep the rose from going syrupy - there's a real sherbet fizz to this. Solid like! Note: This REALLY varies depending on skin - a relative tried it but got very little rose (all the base notes fronted instead).

It smells like a pink smoker (NZ lolly) like EXACTLY like a pink smoker on the dry down. Its sweet, musky, delicious. Initially I thought it might be a eucalyptus-rose scent because it opens so bright and minty. Absolutely love it, every time I go to the store I cover myself in it. DEF going to buy a bottle.

A dewy rose opening but dries down resinous. So incredibly gorgeous and one of those holy grail rose perfumes. If you miss the discontinued Nubian Musk by Sana Jardin, this might fill that hole in your heart aching for it, also like a more green and fresh version of Midnight 07.
