Atlas

Tumi has mostly flown under the radar over the last few years. I own several scents from them and they are all nice, using high quality ingredients, and are typically sold at very competitive prices on discounters. Atlas is probably my second favorite behind Dusk (although I haven't tried Unwind or Kinetic yet). I would classify this as blue fragrance adjacent: a citrus and aromatic opening, giving way to a spices and wood in the dry down. I believe that the term blue fragrance is overused and not many people can agree on exactly what qualifies as one. Atlas has shades of several other fragrances, but mostly does its own thing. If you have ever tried Dolce and Gabbana The One Grey, it reminds me of Grey mixed with LV Imagination. I can smell most of the individual notes in this, they are blended expertly, and you can tell that they used very high quality ingredients. Performance is good. Longevity is at the cusp of the high end of average and the lower end of above average with moderate projection, which is nothing to sneeze at considering the nature of this being fresh. I got about 6-7 hours out of this with the strong projection in the first 1.5 hours and slowly receding to a skin scent. As far seasonality, like most modern freshies/blues, this is safe for all occasions, settings, and weather, but it certainly shines in the late Spring, Summer, and early Fall. This is definitely a more masculine leaning fragrance, but a women could certainly wear it. It definitely smells more mature (and natural) than Awaken. I got my 100ml bottle for $30 at Burlington which is an absolute steal! Atlas could easily go toe to toe with some of the most expensive designer freshies in my collection from houses like Channel and Yves Saint Laurent. This is not a niche fragrance by any means, but it punches WELL above the price point that I paid for it. I have only had this one a few days, but I have a feeling that I will be wearing this a lot more than I thought, especially with the weather warming up more and more. The more I wear this, the more I love it! 84/100

S-Tier $30 Burlington pick up. This is a lovely blue fragrance with all the ubiquitous versatility and mass appeal blue fragrances are known for. I've had my nose on many blue fragrances (besides Open Road lol) and this doesn't really smell like any of the other popular DNAs honestly. My bottle of Dylan Blue smells much more like the BDC DNA than this. The opening can come across as generically soapy/men's deodorantish (not necessarily in a bad way) but as it dries down, it takes on this crispy mintiness that feels sparkly and enchanting against the rich and deep wood/vetiver of Atlas. The DNA also just has this cozy familiarity to it, I'm not sure how to explain it. I don't really think I've actually smelled this DNA out and about that much, but this DNA gives the impression of a classically masculine, gentleman's scent (although I wouldn't call it dated). Atlas is an amazing dumb reach too, living somewhere with an almost year round hot climate, I can get a looooot of mileage out of this for the office or just going about my day. I'd say you can pick this up from skin for about 7-8 hours, maybe 9 on its best day. Decent projection for 2-3 hours before it begins drawing in. Haven't gotten the chance to wear this one out too much yet, but I would anticipate a couple compliments similar the ones you commonly hear when wearing a nice blue fragrance: "manly" "how a man should smell". The cardamom and amberwood are also sort of sketch at first, but as it dried down, they grew on me because I realized how much of the character they were giving. I think those 2 give this the subtle coconut accord some reviewers mention (I really, really like this). Overall, this was a pretty decent blind buy for the price alone, I have a pretty distinct memory of a Macy's worker introducing me to the Tumi line and trying to convince me to buy one for $200 or something like 2 years ago. The novelty of finding these at Burlington for $30 now is worth it in itself. Would recommend at rack store prices. Nice and clean.

Got a sample of this with a sample lot and tried it out. I was pleasantly surprised with the scent and I ended up getting a bottle. The Scent - As the notes suggest, it opens with bright a citrus. Some openings to fragrances can be harsh or too sweet, but to me this is a rather nice. It isn't groundbreaking, but it isn't bad at all. Citrus and aromatic. The magic happens during the dry-down though. The citrus lingers, but the woody/vetiver (I'm assuming that is why it's called atlas, for atlas cedar) comes to play, and it is great. It isn't a dark woody smell, but a bright, light, semi-sweet, clean wood. The projection is average, and the longevity is average as well. I wear it at work, but I genuinely belive it has the versatility to be worn for most occasions. The citrus makes it a clean day/spring/summer fragrance, but the woody/sweet dry-down makes it viable to wear in the evening and at colder times of the year, or at least I think so. The Bottle - The bottle and presentation it pretty slick. The bottle itself doesn't feel cheap, and they use this semi-clear/grey-hazed wrap for the label. The cap is pretty unique, in a good way. It is made of a hefty metal and sits on the atomizer like most caps, but it has a dial on the side that lock it into place. Nice touch, if you ask me. TL;DR - It is a great scent and if you aren't over inundated with woody fragrances in your collection, it is worth the buy. It doesn't do anything crazy special, but it very far from offensive. The other bottles in this line are worth a test as well, but this one was the one I liked the most. I've worn it 4-6 times and each time I like it more. Thank you for the read! Jesse D.

It has some 'blue' fragrance elements in the forefront, very bright clean fresh citrusy floral scents. Something light amber-woody keeps the opening hint of citrus rounded and not too piercing. It transforms into a sharper wood during its drydown, less like amber and more like sandalwood. From start to finish, this fragrance carries a sweetness throughout the entire journey. Yet despite this sweet undertone, the fragrance never feels heavy nor overpowered, and stays ethereal around the wearer. The transparent and synthetic elements remind me of some pieces by Ormonde Jayne. An incredibly modern fragrance experience that tries to remind you it took no inspiration from works of antiquity. The ~5hr longevity is nothing to write home about. The opening fades quickly and the drydown pretty much becomes the meat and potatoes of the entire experience. Neither is the projection, which stays close to the skin. The opening is probably one of the more beautiful, relaxing, and incredibly clean smells I've experienced in a while. I grabbed this one because of its aviation inspired themes, which is quite fitting since it behaves modestly in tight spaces like a cockpit.

Who knew a luggage company could make such good fragrances - you can find many of these heavily discounted from their original full retail which makes them a true bargain. I picked this one up And Awaken Distilled for under £35 UK each. You should probably have one just for the bottles! The locking cap mechanism is nerd cool! Anyway what does this smell like to me. I often heard reviews talking about "pencil shavings" and it was always like WTF for me. I now understand, this smells like pencil shavings and a bit of something like aniseed (at least to me). It definitely works on an older guy like me, great 6-8 hours plus performance. You could wear this formal office type as well as jeans and t-shirt. I don't think it's a date night/evening out scent. It doesn't smell anything like Coach open road, BUT if you were going to put it in a Zen diagram of smell types, you might put it in that zone - with something like Loewe Cobalt 7 - although that's obviously a much bluer take. It's probably the herbal aromatic notes these fragrances share?

What a hidden gem this one is, an instant love at first sniff for me. This came out last year but was seemingly overshadowed by so many other releases it seems it flew under the radar. Tumi Atlas is a very clean, professional and modern smelling fragrance with a classy and sexy vibe. This absolutely feels tailor made for the office or any business casual scenario. The quality here is easily on par with the mainstream Chanels and Diors. It has both a freshness and warmth to it, and is easily wearable all year long. This is just superbly blended. The overall scent does remind most of Givenchy’s Gentlemen Only, but brighter and fresher with improved performance. This thing just projects beautifully and lasts a solid 7-8 hours on skin. Both Atlas and 19 Degree are by far my favorites from Tumi. They are giving the major players a run for their money with stuff this good. Definitely worth checking out and I look forward to what they do next!

I am very happy with my Tumi Colognes. Newer to the fragrance game, my perspective is pretty open. That noted, early on when looking at colognes at department stores, Macy's, etc. I saw the Tumi luggage brand scents and thought "no way am I going to even test smell their offerings!" If you are reading this and had similiar thoughts, that is a mistake. Tumi Continuum is my favorite scent at the moment and Atlas is a winner too! I got lucky and blind bought both of these at TJ Maxx at a great price. Atlas opens very clean and citrusy and bright. Good projection. I love the dry down on my skin as it is very woody and masculine. I feel like this can be worn all year long and a variety of situations. Jbozz's review below is also on point. My next Tumi purchase is going to be 19 Degrees. While I have a decent size collection now, including some heavy hitters, my Tumi's are some of my favorites! Enjoy!

Probably one of the more interesting fresh fragrances for the spring and summer. This has a spicy, warm and rounded accord that separates it from the otherwise sharp and bright freshies that are so ubiquitous in the office. This is a distinct, oriental inspired fresh fragrances that opens with a cool citrus, and mellows out into white florals, mild powder, and earl grey tea leaves, then dries down into a smooth vetiver (slightly damp and sweet hay). It creates a small bubble of spicy and velvety wood aroma that will set you apart from guys wearing the aquatics, sweet fruit frags and sharp citrus freshies. I find that Tumi fragrances are highly underrated, and no doubt created likely by the same noses that have delivered other fragrances under famous designer houses. (BTW, I layered this with Lataffa Oud for Glory - amazing combo!)

Tumi is a fragrance house on the rise! Excellent scent. I'm totally impressed. Today was the first time I'd had the chance to sample Tumi fragrances and I'm glad I did. I ended up buying three of the five parfums they have available at this time! Atlas might be compared to other blue style fragrances. It transitions as it dries down from spicy citrus into a sparkling ginger and slight leather mid, finally drying down into creamy sandalwood and two different kinds of vetiver. The oakmoss is present in the dry down as well, but never becomes too aggressive. Just a beauty of a Spring - Summer fragrance. Seems more of a daytime choice, with good performance, especially for such a fresh, invigorating scent! Outstanding job, Tumi! You have a new fan.

This is an excellent warm weather scent, extremely underrated in my opinion. I think it could be worn year round, but it's perfect for high heat. Someone else mentioned that is shares some of the same characteristics of Fan di Fendi Acqua Pour Homme, and I totally agree. It's an easy to wear, mass appealing scent, but has something a little different from all the other freshies and blues out there. It's got a little spicyness to it, like a Mediterranean vibe that I really like. I get good longevity out of it too. This one is a love for me - especially considering you can get a 3.4 oz bottle for like $40. Oh, and the bottle is really nice too!

This fragrance is so underrated! I recently got into fragrances within the last couple of months. Since then, I've purchased some of the most popular designer fragrances out there, and this is on par with all of them, if not better than some! Its a clean, woodsy, and citrus smelling fragrance that is very safe to wear for any occasion. In my opinion, best for office wear and just an everyday dumb reach fragrance. Longevity is good and the projection is moderate, which is perfect for the office! Not to mention its easily my favorite bottle in my collection next to Azzaro The Most Wanted EDP. Definitely worth the purchase!

I cannot get ENOUGH of this fragrance it's so good. I was able to get a couple of samples when I bought another Tumi fragrance and was torn between this and kinetic and I went with kinetic, but I am 100% getting a bottle of this as well. The best way to describe this fragrance it's very similar to aqua velva aftershave. Such a fresh, crisp smell, perfect for any occasion/season you name it. It lasts rather well and has just the right amount of projection where it's not obnoxious, but you will get noticed when you wear it. LOVE this fragrance.

It's a sweeter and warmer fragrance than a freshie usually is. This fragrance is still very fresh and is a blue-like fragrance, but I wouldn't directly call it a blue fragrance, because it has that warmth to it. Very masculine, but I feel like it can be worn by anybody. If you're a high schooler that wants a clean, warm, fresh, all year fragrance to pull some compliments, get this. It's also a decently unknown fragrance, so this can become your signature without anyone smelling like you. I'd recommend it.

Great scent for the price, it's a "blue" fragrance that doesn't really smell blue or typical. The bottle itself is solid as heck and it has a great atomizer (for those that care). It's citrus, spice and musky. Good longevity, decent projection, very versatile (good for all seasons really) and overall just a solid fragrance. You can get this around the 50-60 dollar range at discounters and for that price I think it's a steal. I could see someone using this as a signature scent.

Atlas = Dior homme sport Unwind= Dior Fahrenheit/ Homme Unawakened= Dior sauvage Continuum= Tobacco fragrance Atlas shines bc it’s a strong fresh fragrance. That’s a rare thing for freshies. Leaves oil on your skin and that’s evidence of the strength of the fragrance. Overall not anything new but the strength provides the reason worth purchasing. And the scent is very good.

#1049 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I really enjoy this scent. It has almost an incense quality. Very fresh. Citric, but not sharp. Strong vetiver and moss notes. Nice sandalwood. Masculine, but not overbearing. Good longevity, but not strong sillage, so it's car pool, elevator and small office safe. Good business or date scent. Good year around. This one's a winner for me!

If you like BDC, Loewe 7 Cobalt, and Missoni Parfum Pour Homme, you will like this. Just variations on the same theme. This variant has more vetiver, that's it. Like all of these I mentioned, performance is also average but for the price at discounters you can't go wrong. This is not an Amouage Decision, or a Xerjoff Torino 22, it's a blue/green simple fragrance.

I’ve been waiting for this to be added to Fragrantica!! This is absolutely beautiful. Citrus forward and fresh. I know Tumi isn’t some prestigious fragrance house but I’m very impressed with this particular one. It’s long lasting with great sillage. I never tend to notice other people’s scents, but I follow my boyfriend around like a puppy when he has this on

Super duper turbo freshie, mass-appealing to a T, basically impossible to hate it, but there's just enough spice thrown into the mix to keep things interesting. If you're in dire need of a modern fresh fragrance, I'd start here just because Atlas outperforms so many of the fragrances with similar scent profiles.

This is a much higher quality chrome azzaro. Intoxicating citruses, herbal notes, and vetiver. It smells like money. Perfect professional fragrance. Wear it to impress. Not a casual wear fragrance. This is for a man in a suit, pants, or at very least a polo or fancy sweater. Sexy fragrance.

In my opinion this is top notch and blue fragrance but a light blue fragrance. Excellent all day performance. People need to show this house more love. Yes they are pricey but they are putting out quality fragrances that deserve more attention. Very impressive stuff here

I bought this but then the bottle sat for about a year. I get it back out and dude is it smooth...very, very smooth and enjoyable. Not too spicy, very nice woods. Longevity is excellent, projection is mild but definitely there. Turns out you can wear this anytime!

This one is nice. I wore it all day and kept catching whiffs while saying to myself “this has a similarity to something” To my nose it’s Dunhill Icon Elite but brighter/fresher. Cardamom,vetiver, bergamot all nicely done. I enjoy this one and recommend it.

Underrated Blue fragrance, like @ryanok21 said. In my opinion, great for all seasons. Is not as generic as the typical blue. Is a combination of citrus + woody. This does not smell like Ferragamo F Black at all!!!!!!!

75% similar to coach open road, but this dries down much better. Coach turns into sour pickles. This is a classic sharp, clean, metallic business or sophisticated man scent. Not for youngins, 30 and up. Great stuff

I do not know why but I get a less powdery F Black.

This is a great blue fragrance that is underrated.

What was he was wearing? Was anyone there at all or are you thinking of another time? Another place? Doesn't matter. You gather you bag and hurry to your gate. As you pass a map stand to catch the unmistakable scent of citrus and sandalwood. Altitude and Ozone. It's nice. Where have you smelled that before?

Was pretty surprised by Tumi Atlas. Thought it would be another one of those boring masculine fragrances that start with citrus and dry down to vetiver and sandalwood. Atlas is interesting because it smells unique to me and there's a freshness to it that lasts throughout its life. But its uniqueness is what stands outs. Wearing it was very uplifting. A bit on the sweeter side but not too sweet. An easy reach type of fragrance that would be pretty versatile. Probably best in warm to hot weather; not much of a statement in winter. Longevity was pretty good at about 7 hours for me with average sillage for the first 1 to 1.5 hours. Tumi Atlas seems to be under the radar and deserves more attention.

Masculine, woody, spicy. To me, this does not smell like Missoni Parfum (I like that one, but I think I like scent of this one better) or Givenchy's Gentlemen Only (another good one in my book), but I can see some resemblence to Coach's Open Road with the prominent woodiness from the dry vetiver. I think it actually reminds me of Rabanne's Phantom a little bit too, but without the vanilla (will have to test this). Anyway, I liked this one right off the bat. It's an easy wear. The price is right on discounters. Recommed for a good all-year, no-brainer. Edit 6-21-25: Still lovin' this, but someone said it's "almost female." Just wanted to say I strongly disagree with that.

Spicy fresh amberwood opening, i.e. lots of Ambroxan combined with a small hit of citrus and cardamom. Doesn't have the same fizzy pop as many of its woody-citrus contemporaries, the sugary-sweet citruses and cardamom lend an overall character of soft but uplifting freshness. Base notes pick up as it fades to a skin scent, dry green woods. Moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 12hr+. Versatile all-occasions fragrance but not really a "blue" scent, it's more Dior Homme 2020 than Sauvage. Bottega Veneta Illusione for Him, Burberry Hero, etc.

How ia no one saying this smells like nautica heritage sport and mont blanc explorer platinum? It's pretty much the same scent profile. To me, they're all interchangeable. This performs as well as the explorer with nautica performing the worst. Not bad, not great. Kinda like meh. Paid $43 for a 6.8oz bottle so I really can't complain.

Imo, this comes across as a soft, metallic grapefruit. As it dries down, a woody Vetiver begins to emerge. This is a Vetiver/grapefruit scent. It smells similar to H24 minus the sclarene note. Good performance on my skin- 8/10 for me. *If sampling, please know this one smells so much better on skin than on paper.

Fresh metallic citrus opening with just a right amount of sweetness gives it a cooling effect. You definitely get some mossyness but not overbearing like i.e. Hacivat. Drydown is smooth and woody. Pleasantly enjoyable. High casual use versatility. "Like" for now, but let's see how it does after a few sprays.

Really fresh it's a shame it doesn't last much on my skin but the smell is superb and fresh with a little bit of fizzing in the initial spray then settling down to a woody synthetic smell but smells delightful. Smell-5/10 Performance-3/10 Versatility-5/10 Overall Rating-4.5/10

I got to say, at first, I didn't care for this fragrance too much, but as it started to dry down, it smelled very similar to Wrigley's Spearmint Gum. After that, I fell in love with it; a great fragrance when it dries down.

Definitely opens as an old school barber, then gets more youthful in the dry down. Very smooth and well blended. H24 with a slight Sauvage vibe.

From this I get a green minty lime version of montblanc explorer platinum. Also gives me an egoiste platinum vibe. Perfect for spring!

There was a comment that this is a Tumi version of Dior homme sport 2021, that's not at all what this is. For some reason this reminds me of TDH with a twist. My initial impression is this is okay right now. I was expecting something a little more fresh and pronounced with the ginger. This reminds me a lot of a barbershop fragrance which I wasn't expecting, I wanted something fresher. I will updated after a full wearing. Edit: first wearing, the opening reminds me of aqua Velva aftershave. Wasn’t able To place it at first.The geranium, MOSS, vetiver are shining on my skin. This isn't challenging but I think you have to know what you're getting into or how it acts on your skin. Another thing that kills this is I ordered a giftset from Jomashop for dirt cheap and they packed it (it was loose in the shipping box) like idiots and the box was thrashed by USPS and broke the 30ml. It soaked everything and the presentation is worthless and when I grab the bottle it's almost an instant headache. One good thing is this fragrance performs for me. Overall it's a no for me guys.

Just tried a sample I got months ago for the first time. As soon as I sprayed it I knew it reminded me of something id smelled before... Givenchy Gentlemen Only. Only small difference is Givenchy is a bit brighter with a touch more citrus to it. Idk if I’d recommend this one or not. It’s not terrible, but not a must have.

It's fine, I'm not sure that I smell any note in particular. It does smell like men's bodywash or deodorant. Nothing special or especially attractive.

When it dries down it just smells like hay or grass. Maybe a little citrusy. But when you first spray it on, this shit smells like pickles 😭 Awful

This is a really good decent fragrance. Its aquatic, but also normal at the same time. It's okay.

Only one review, way down, mentions coconut, and I wonder why? True, it isn't a listed note, but I can smell it as clear as day. Then I asked someone else to get a sniff without giving any hints or indications of what this was or what I thought of it, and she said, unprompted, "coconut deodorant". And then followed it up by saying (a reference for UK/European readers) "it smells like a Bounty bar". It's definitely a "blue" fragrance, with the kind of incense-y, deodorant-like feeling of a typical modern and masculine daily driver type scent. Unfortunately coconut is one of my least favourite notes accords, so the fact that this gives off that vibe, under the blue-ness of it all, it's a hard pass. Even without the coconut, it would still be a pass on a bottle because it's pretty boring. Objectively, it's pretty standard. If you have any kind of daily, signature-like blue, you probably don't need this. And it is nowhere near as good as the King Blues like BDC EDP etc. But it seems like this can be found for pretty cheap, so if you're bored of or are about to finish a bottle of something else, you might as well give this a shot, but be prepared to find it useful and wearable, but not mind-blowing.

Someone mentioned that Atlas compares to Chanel Allure Homme Sport..... NO NO NO!!!!! This is not even close. I actually tested both at Macy's and they are very different. I actually did not care for this scent. The one positive is that after 4 hours, I can still smell it whereas Dolce (I tested this one as well) and CAHS are barely skin scents. This is not a blind buy. It is best to let it sit for 30 minutes to see if you like it or not. The quality is good.

Straight up deodorant for man pits, complete with an Irish Spring soap & for-vetiver accord. Received as a spritzer sample from Sephora. I've honestly smelled better $3 generic body sprays from a grocery store. This scent can be found for a hellavalot less almost anywhere. I wouldn't waste my money on a spray size bottle, I'll go buy a bar of Irish Spring. 3/10 I'm sorry Tumi, ya basic. 😥

i got this as a free sample and knew i wouldn't like it after seeing the top notes, but i tried it anyway for the sake of experimentation. yep, i don't like it. it's a shame, because i can tell there's a nice and warm woody base under it, but i just can't get past the cardamom and grapefruit and the ginger certainly isn't helping. i wore it for a few minutes and just had to wash it off.

Rich sandalwood and citrusy. At best a 5/10 scent, except one thing. There is something "off" about it (and all the TUMI scents that I have smelled). I could have got bad samples, but there is some chemical in them that is very very harsh and biting to the nose.

This smells like a girl armpit who uses lady speedstick antitranspirtant, so if you don't have that fetish, stay away from these fragrance. Almost a female fragrance.
