UDV Blue

I remember that my mom gave Davidoff Cool Water as a present to my dad about 15 or so years ago. I would sometimes use it my self, because there was something calming about the smell. At that time it was not really my thing, but the iconic smell stayed with me. After reviewing some comments I decided to check some discount frags at the local Sparkjøp shop in Norway. UDV ulric de Vårens Blue 60ml. I sprayed it a few times on my wrist. Initially not very pleasing, however after a few mins it settles down to a fresh, aquatic scent. Fragrance: Very reminiscent of 90s fragrances. A bit alcoholic and harsh in the beginning, however it settles down to a pleasant soapy lavander smell. Not very unique, and could be seen as "old school" nowadays, however I do see it almost as a sports shower gel smell. It has this deodorant vibe in the beginning, however when it settles down it becomes soapy. Fresh, Soapy and and Light. Potency is somewhat lacking, definitely not the powerhouse but it could be an alternative to Davidoff Cool Water. Once it dries down a bit only very few people could tell the difference. A bit harsh, but not unpleasant. Davidoff Cool Water (At least the one I remember) was more polish, however this could be an ok alternative. Smell: 7/10 (A bit harsh in the beginning only). Potency: 6/10 (A bit weak, 4 hours max, but Cool water is watered down also). Silage: 4/10 (Weak). All in all it a safe, budget option for Davidoff Cool Water. Not great, and not a perfect copy, however given the price still a decent take on DCW. I personally would not mind owning one. I imagine this working well in summer or spring. Works well in combo with Lavander based frags or Shower Gels. Due to being a bit on the weaker side this frag could easily find its place in any man's gym bag.

UDV Blue for men I always believed this as a poor man's Cool Water. I used to layer this with cool water perfume for little long lasting. One of the budget fresh fragrance I use when I don't want to waste my expensive juices for a casual out. Sometimes when I just be at home, I spray it right after the shower. Performance is average and doesn't last long or project heavy unless it gets layered for cool water. This was recommended by a friend of mine. He was working in an IT company and he said he purchased this UDV and layered it for Cool water and it brought him compliments. I never had one but I felt the longevity improved when it was layered. I have seen people saying it as this smells like cool water before reformulation but I never smelt the original one which I believe Tres Nuit by Armaf or Estiara stag black would smell alike. A cheap fresh aquatic green fragrance that can last 4hrs easily and 6+ hrs if layered for Cool water or other clones of Creed GIT.

It is a fresh fragrance similar to Cool water, it smells pleasant and is ideal for after the shower when you finish at the gym, work, home... the notes are wrong, I leave the correct ones according to the brand's website and it would be nice if Fragrantica could update them: Top notes: pineapple, green note, lemon, lavender, orange blossom Heart notes: lily of the valley, jasmine, cardamom, geranium Base notes: moss, musk, sandalwood, cedar, amber

Ulric de varence blue is so close to davidoff cool water and available 1/3 price of that. According to me its good buy for the price you paid. Its initial smell is alcholic but after 10 minutes its give you soapy fresh vibe with the touch of lavender.💜 Its stays upto 3hr on skin 4hrs on cloth then its completely disappear. You couldn't ask for more on that price point. I Accept and appreciate 👍🏻♨️

I'm a woman but I've smelled this on my father. This is a perfect fragrance I think, you get the aromatic and fresh spicy, along with the musk. Its a cool, fresh, crisp, clean fragrance. Aromatic allure is going on here. And quite affordable! I think it surpasses "Hugo Boss" with its sillage power and dries down to a wholesome, slightly powdery/bitter. Excellent fragrance from DeVarens!

An exact copy of Davidoff Cool Water except cheaper & with a lesser performance. You get what you pay for here. Neat.

A greenish and slightly sweet smell. Versatile, pleasant and easy to love, But the performance is very very weak! Scent:6 Projection/Longevity:2 Uniqueness:1 quality:3 Value for money:ok Overall:3

One Of My friends Had this today with him at work tried it and 3 sec(s) later bang on "Davidoff Cool Water" no imagination no presentation copycats they are ,dont like the master so where will this slave go ? :) oh and one thing to mention - the juice was green ! (and the cap was blue) unlike the pics but on the bottle said BLUE so im guessing thats it !!!!

A drowned aquatic.. full of clichés and without a charm... good as a gift to a guy you despise..

The notes are very misleading, not musky at all, very faint lavender note, just a very generic green aquatic scent, 3/10

this IS awful ..... full of Green notes, it's nauseating I had to take a shower For the smells to go away

Anyone who likes Cool Water should like this, I'm not testing side-by-side but from memory it really does smell similar. To me this is quite smooth, considering what it's clearly inspired by (CW) and the fact it's a low budget fragrance. It's not really my cup of tea but pretty decent all things considered.

smells like a standard aftershave, there's something that kind of makes you want to take a second sniff but too confusing and faded, is as cheap as it costs; at least the smell is not overwhelming.

The same smell with the original fragrance of lancaster COOL WATER,before COTYS refolmulate this perfect fragrance! Buy it unreservedly,the price is very affordable!

You almost cannot tell its difference with Cool Water. The only problem is the longetivity & sillage. You simply get what you have paid for. I love it personally.

It's a Cool Water's copy (before it was reformulated). Cheap price and a decent performance. Nice smell.

Just like Nike Pure, UDV Blue seems to be a low cost version of Davidoff Cool Water.
