Varensia White

Wow, this is one of the best value for money fragrances I know! It costs about 7 € for 50 ml, sometimes in a gift set with a matching deo spray. The bottle, or rather the tacky print on it and the silly plastic cap, sadly look as cheap as they are. But don't let that fool you, the fragrance inside doesn't show its price. I don't know Truth or Dare or any of the other fragrances listed as similar at the moment, so I can't compare them. To me this feels original. Varensia White's main notes are ultra creamy tuberose and orange flower. In the opening I also get a gentle note of crisp green apple. It somehow reminds me of a cream or lotion from the past, maybe a sunblock product, but I'm not sure. Anyways, it's a sweet and clean scent without any green flower stems or bubblegum notes. And it gets better and more rounded over time, when vanilla and tonka blend in with the florals and the lotion-y smell vanishes. I just love white florals with vanilla. It's also quite long lasting, clearly detactable all day long. I often avoid buying perfumes in terrible cheap bottles but maybe I'll get this regardless.

Bubblegum tuberose! Sweet white floral, warm and comforting sandalwood, tonka, and vanilla. I always wonder how UDV can make such wonderful yet crazily affordable fragrances. The only minus of Varensia White is that it stays no more than 3-4 hours on your skin, unless you dedicate your nose to sniff it. But given to its price, doesn’t hurt to reapply it often. The drydown is heaven. Creamy tuberose, a lil powdery, still very sweet and delicate. Love it so much. Poeme lovers, Fracas lovers, and Truth or Dare lovers would love this one too!

Tuberose lover, grab Varensia White. This Is the Real Deal. Pros: Varensia white is a lovely, balanced blend of sweet & creamy tuberose, orange flowers, apple, vanilla and sandalwood. Cons: poor longevity on the skin but ok on fabric. Bottle: there are comments here that the bottle is tacky. I like the bottle; I think it verges on camp in its cuteness. And the bottle looks exactly like what is inside: a happy and a sweet white flower fragrance. A teenage boy relative calls it "the Geisha bottle" which is IMO is a very apt description :-).

This is a very good scent for the price, wearable tuberose so if you hate tuberose this is perfect for you...a creamy milky white floral, the tuberose is well balanced by orange blossom and has a certain sweetness and a certain powderiness to it that makes it smell a little like its packaging, white, cutsy and pleasant. Not cloying or headache inducing, smells like a chic lady wearing a cute straw hat. Lasting power 4-5 hours, overdose if you must!

Tried and bought this today for € 6.50, it does smell a lot like Truth or Dare but the first bubblegum-y blast of almost aldehidic white flowers calms down much quicker and settles into a creamy, sophisticated Tuberose, with very faint traces of buttery vanilla and lemon merengue. I detect a hint of lipstick, too. Much better than I expected, if you find it, it is a fail proof blind buy for lovers of fracas and truth or dare.

What a lovely fragrance! Tuberose, and tuberose, and tuberose, some green apples and more tuberose and maybe a vanilla bathed in tuberose. I have already had 2 bottles of it. The only bad point is its longevity and its sillage... But if you do not care for that OR want something delicate, this one may be worn as an EDC

Creamy and sweet white florals, tempered with a gentle vanilla and soft musk. I definitely get the ToD reference; they share the same bright sweetness. Perfect for warmer months, body heat really carries this scent through. Great sillage and quite long-lasting. Solid offering

So incredibly beautiful. This is all neroli up front then tuberose, iris/powdery, musk and sandalwood. Sweet and soft. A tender fragrance. The powder keeps it from being a huge vintage tuberose bomb. Very tempered.

Very light and easy to like tuberose. Is the 3rd time this house blows my mind. You can really have very well blended (light though) perfumes for under 15euros.(Ciel & Gold Issime are my other happy discoveries).

Smells A lot like Madonna's TOD!! This the most identical and I've purchased all the hyped up dupes, very creamy milky bubblegum Tuberose lasts 2-3 hrs to a hint of fragrance which is ok for 20 bucks

I think it was watered down! It was already soft, but I just got it as a Christmas gift (my 3rd or 4th bottle, don't know) and it feels... Softer.

Lovely, creamy, sweet tuberose with a hint of fresh green apple. Performs poorly on skin but lasts longer on fabric. Gorgeous.

This is just sooo good! Creamy, sweet, lovely. It's a shame it's a bit lighter recently.

How strange. This used to be NUCLEAR. Really. Now it is nice but not as strong. Pity.

I am not usually a buyer or wearer of floral perfumes, so since I only own one other I can't speak to whether Varensia White is particularly unique in its class (original Varensia definitely IS). But I got bored and wanted a different vibe, and because I like Ulric de Varens original chypre (Varensia) so much I gave it a try. Maybe this is just a basic white floral, or maybe something more, but I love it. It makes me so happy to smell in my little flowery scent bubble. I am not getting much in the way of distinct notes and this fragrance seems pretty linear to me-- can't pick out any orange blossoms or other specific elements. Overall, I'm getting white flowers with a touch of powdery white musk in the background. But the flowers smell very photorealistic to me, like being underneath a trellis of confederate jasmine, honeysuckle, orange blossoms-- with a fence full of moonflower vines opening as twilight emerges, and a large magnolia tree somewhere nearby. HOWEVER, either I became nose blind to this perfume very quickly or it really doesn't have great longevity. Since I just got it today and haven't been around anyone to tell me if they can smell it, it's anyone's guess. FUN LAYERING TIP: If you really want to put this over the top and add some distinctive quality to it, try layering with Mauboussin Une Histoire d'une Femme Sensuelle. It's similarly-priced, high quality, from another French perfume house. Une Histoire is great on its own but when I added the creamy musk-and-red-licorice element to Varensia white I got something reminiscent of Angel but better IMO. Overall, I love the experience and it was worth the twenty bucks to give Varensia White a try. Can't wait to see how it macerates over time and experiment with other combinations. Adding some ambergris might really take it to "beach day" status.

i have read comments on this fragrance calling it clean, maybe bridal. obviously a scent depends on the skin's chemistry. to me this smells so sexy and seductive. i ended up randomly trying it because i found the bottle cute, and i was taken aback by the creamy sexy white floral essence. i was surprised to see tuberose listed as a note, since in designer fragrances i find that it's a note that turns plastic-y on my skin. very beautiful blend, especially considering the price. it's a shame that this only lasts for 2 hours before disappearing. i'm not a skin scent type of person, i like to have a fragrance trail that enwraps people with my essence. however i have been thinking of it ever since i tried it, so i might look past the longevity and get it, i'm sure i'll find a situation where it won't be an issue for this fragrance to be a skin scent... edit: i ended up comparing it with Armani-my way and ever since then the drydown has been reminiscent of a cleaning product. i still like it a lot though, especially the peach-tuberose combination of the opening

I always associated this brand with cheap drugstore fragrances but the bottle in my local perfume shop left me intrigued. A few days later for a coincidence I stumbled upon a review of this scent and realized it was the bottle I saw. I checked the reviews and was amazed by the thumbs up and the comparisons to truth or dare. I was never a big white flower girl but tought what a hell. Now my review: I am not a conneseaur of white flowers but this smells nice and not cheap (I guess). I dont see the big scary scent that some people talk about. On my skin this smells very clean, soapy, sweet, a bit talky and just overall delicious. If you are looking for a strong, clear, fresh and soapy white flower give this a try. If you dont like it you dont loose much anyway.

Wow!!! Just lovely. An incredibly inexpensive tuberose that doesn’t smell cheap or have a screechy hairspray note. I get orange blossom and crisp apple in the opening followed by sweet, creamy tuberose. This not a buttery or indolic tuberose, so there’s no need to be afraid. It gets powdery and slightly musky as it dries down. As a tuberose enthusiast, I will wear tuberose in any of its forms. This is unique to my collection due to the smoothness and subtlety of the tuberose. The best way to describe it is fresh and bright and pretty. I am very pleased. This is what I wanted L’interdit to smell like. Overall, this is a gorgeous, super cheap tuberose. I just wish the longevity was better. Edit—Longevity is 8-10 hours if I really, really overspray.

Varensia is pretty, but I think I'm a little tired of plain, warm, white orange blossom/tuberose-vanilla florals, unless they have a few additional notes; to my nose, it's almost like it's missing something. Some perfumes I love that are similar to Varensia -- warm, feminine white florals -- all have the addition of fruits or nuts: Trussardi Pure Jasmine (pistachio), Estee Lauder Beautiful Belle (litchi/marzipan), or Guess Seductive (pear and black currant), for example. So, while pretty and well-priced, I won't be adding a full bottle of Varensia to my collection.

Tuberose and vanilla goodness. This scent is so well done - the sweetness mixed with tuberose is just right. A bubblegummy tuberose that isn't too much of one thing - not too sweet and not too white florals. When I first tried to spray this on, the plastic cap was hard to come off and kind of hurt because it has these ridges lol. The cap is super cheap but hey, if it keeps the price of this perfume as low as it is, I don't mind.

Where there ́s a Tuberose scent...I ́m there! I heard about this treasure and went to a Drugstore to check and wow...it ́s really a smooth-lush Tuberose...simply delicious...it ́s not heavy in my Skin, moderae soft but the smell is really addictive and not cheap at all. A very good creamy Tuberose scent for daytime. This is really a finding for Tuberose Lovers.

I find this a bit disappointing. Hard to find in my country, but I did locate one. It's ok, being a soft tuberose with neroli, but I had high hopes, believing from the reviews it was better than some other tuberose perfumes. I think not, but I think I'm more attracted to in-your-face sexy powerful tuberoses, so maybe take what I say with a pinch of salt!

I grabbed the bottle without noticing what it was (it's quite nice actually). Tuberose is definitely front and center here and it reminds me of a few scents I own(ed) or know: Truth or Dare, Michael Kors (variety of them) or Tease. Lasting power and sillage is quite good so give it a try. For that price you cannot go wrong :)

This is heavenly! A hidden gem! It is a lush, creamy tuberose, sweetened by a delicious vanilla, with a hint of neroli. It reminded me of Truth or Dare, but, like we say here in Austria: Truth or Dare can pack its things and go back home! This way is way, way better! I can not believe it only costs 8$!

very Special one, there is something addictive in it, very mature & sophistikated. not sweet. Just a nice blend of White flowers - I can distinctively smell teh Neroli, Tuberose and Orange Blossom, smells not cheap at all, too bad the bottle does look cheap, definitely

I wanted to smell like this expensive hair care product (L'Oreal rectify, red bottle) cause I am addicted to that and here I go. Found it and love it when the weather is gloomy and I want something to wrap around myself.

Sweet, creamy, white florals and vanilla. It's lovely, unfortunately it doesn't last on me. Will gift it to my mom for her birthday, she likes fragrances that aren't too strong.

Almost identical to Armani-My Way Floral. Varensia White feels more mature. Armani is on the lighter side just a little. Good for spring/summer and white shirts.

This perfume came to my collection as a freebie with an order. It's not a scent profile I normally look for, but the opening is fresh and a bit sweet. I don't get much apple and peach, but neroli and tuberose, especially tuberose,comes quite heavy and it gives it, to me, some kind of vintage vibe. The tuberose is pretty heavy all the way and makes this a very typical white floral fragrance. It feels kinda elegant, but for me, who loves heavier, spicier perfumes, it's too light. The fragrance becomes warmer as it develops. Vanilla, musk and tonkabean is most prominent at the end. I think it can be good for spring and summer, I picture a woman in a light, floral dress at a wedding wearing it. Sillage is moderate, longevity so-so, but overall the perfume performs very well concidering the price. Skinscent after 4 hours on me. I also think the perfume could've done a better impression in another bottle, it's a bit juvenile and looks/feels cheap.

Madonna Truth or Dare - but the tuberose isn't as thick, add a soft powdery edge - but a tiny bit of fruit bite to offset the powder. Overall it is softer feeling. I was hoping for more peach, but I am getting more of the bite from the apple-note - without it actually smelling like apples. I adore milky fragrances and was hoping to pick that up, but I am just getting the mixture of florals with powder and fruits. I was hoping for better quality from reading the reviews but this isn't hitting for me. I gave it a few tries. It's not bad but with my size collection I'm afraid this will only collect dust. P.S. This does smell much closer to Madonna Truth or Dare once it dries down. Pretty but it's missing the parts that I adore about ToD

I wanted to buy this perfume due to the very beautiful bottle. It is really very beautiful. But the scent turned out to be simpler. This fragrance is sweety and powdery and that's it. I've read somewhere that it reminds of powdered milk. I completely agree with this comparison. I hoped for vanilla as well, but I can't smell it here. Longevity and sillage is low. It lasts 2-3 hours, maximum. Shortly, it's something powdery in the beautiful bottle.

It's not bad but it sort of smells cheap, which it is if we are honest. I am not obsessed with it, it lacks depth but for it's price it's alright. On my skin it lasts quiet a bit so that's positive thing. Bottle is rather cute too. All in all, an okay perfume for low price.

I'm ok with this cheapie. It smells like jasmine soap or even Rinso (a famous detergent in my country). Weak longevity.

I was excited to pick this up at such an affordable price as I love tuberose. It does smell a bit too synthetic and heady at the start. I like how it mellows as it dries down, but that synthetic quality is still present. This is good for the price, a very bright white floral that really projects. Not a love, though. For a bit of a price up but still reasonable I recommend Fragonard Fleur d’Oranger— much more true to nature and not headache inducing.

Heavy on the tuberose neroli but not my cup of tea for white floral. It's okay really but not really okay enough for me to like it alot. Maybe better on someone younger?

This is awful! From my bottle bought online, it smells like body odor mixed with tuberose. On my skin, the smell left me nauseous and running for the shower. I don't know if my bottle has turned or if I'm simply not smelling what others are smelling. Thank god it was cheap; it smells cheap too!

I’m a tuberose lover but I DON’T like this. There is a weird greenish floral-fruity note (not sure if it’s apple or not) which never goes away and is more prominent than tuberose.

Purchased this for under $10 bucks and while I love the scent it is disappointing in the performance arena. Starts out with a blast of neroli and bubblegum tuberose (which I don't particularly care for), but changes and becomes a very creamy, sweet, in full bloom tuberose (my favorite kind). Then, as soon as it has completely dried down it becomes a barely there skin scent. How is that possible? I decided to over-spray with the same result. This scent lacks silage. From other reviewers comments it appears I probably have a reformulated version. Too bad, because when I smell where I sprayed I am picking up a very beautiful combination of neroli, tuberose, orange blossom, a woody sandalwood, vanilla and a light powdery musk. I do not smell the fruit listed in the notes, but I suspect it is giving this fragrance a freshness that's normally lacking in scents with heavy white flowers. This smells really wonderful, but soooo light. This might be a good choice for someone who needs a fragrance with low projection, but personally, I want to be able to smell a perfume on myself. If I can't, it's not worth it, no matter how little it cost. I might try layering this in the future with something else and see where that takes it, but I am really disappointed that I can't fully enjoy the way it was originally intended right now.

Yet another fragrance that takes me to a wedding. But I'm always a bridesmaid and never a bride. This is a fresh white floral wedding bouquet. The scent opens with fruit notes: citrus, neroli, green apple and peach. The fruit is a delicious way to start the fragrance but it's not a fruity perfume. This is strictly a white floral fragrance. The tuberose is rich and creamy, full bodied and very perfumy. It's a tuberose that you probably have smelled before even among celebrity scents like Truth or Dare by Madonna, Kim Kardashian and Tease by Paris Hilton. I have only worn Truth or Dare and I did like that one and this one is a bit like that except the sandalwood is more pronounced and I would say that this one is even more fruity. The peach keeps it very juicy and fruity. The dry down is sandalwood with a generous dose of vanilla. Mmm. Smells so good. To me this fragrance evokes freshly fallen snow. It's not a winter perfume but the color white is all over it and reminds me of pure snow. It's a fragrance for the Snow Queen of Hans Christian Andersen's novel and the White Witch from The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. She is untouched and very feminine but a tad on the arrogant side, with a cruel streak. But this perfume is like the softer side we never got to see. This is such a lovely fragrance.

This was a blind buy, but it is so cheap like a box of coffee capsules, so why not. First, it was ok, a bit too green, photo-realistic tuberose. But only tuberose and nothing else: no fruits or musk. Also it stayed on clothes for literally 30 min tops. Then I did test drive on open air, so I heavily over sprayed it. Just to feel it longer and omg it was not good. Like a bouquet of wet tuberose, too botanical. I made up my mind on selling it. After it macerated for few months in its box and my goodness! Now it is sweet, delicate, decadent juicy tuberose and orange blossom on tonka and sandalwood. It got rich, even its staying power improved. And I also decided to layer it with L'Interdit Rouge and it is good-good. Not sure does it justify keeping the bottle tho.

This fragrance peaked my interest because of all the comparisions to Truth or Dare (which I absolutely love, it's one of my favorite fragrances). I also love Fracas and Poeme, two other fragrances that were mentioned in the reviews. Truth or Dare is sweet on me, but Varensia White is even sweeter. This truly is a bubblegummy tuberose, super sweet, bright and happy. I love it! To me, this is mostly tuberose and a bit of vanilla. I don't smell neroli or orange blossom at all, which I don't mind - although I love both notes - because I'm quite content with the creamy smooth sweetness of the tuberose. The longevity is underwhelming and the sillage is only so-so, but this is inexpensive enough to reapply during the day.

Wonderful alternative to Madonna's discontinued Truth or Dare. Truth or Dare is very unique, I find. There are many Gardenia-Tuberose fragrances available, but none come close to Truth or Dare. It's inspired by Fracas — but Fracas is much more floral and green, and Truth or Dare is more sweet. Varensia White has more of a sweet, caramelized tuberose, much like Truth or Dare. This doesn't have as much lasting power as Truth or Dare — but nonetheless I'm happy to have found a similar fragrance!

This smells like Jōvan White Musk mixed w the old school Suave Aloe lotion. VERY clean & super synthetic. An easy reach for the times you don't want to wear perfume but want to smell like more than soap. Like a scent for sleep or lounging around the house. I wouldn't buy it again bc I use perfumes like Gendarme for that.

I don't know why I get a coconut water from this but I did not find it synthetic. Very elegant and beautifully done spring smell. Tuberose is not overpowering. It is very enjoyable. The bottle is vintage looking. Overall cheap and amazing perfume

I have a full bottle, bought blindly and for me it does not smell good on me, if anyone has a trade, my bottle is full. I think for me the tuberose is too strong. Very linear, and not a scent I would buy again. I can not smell Vanilla at all.

I'd had this for awhile and never really enjoyed it. One day I layered PDM Valaya over it and discovered a magical combo! Try it for yourself if you're on the fence about this scent like I was.

A nice gem! To my nose it smells exactly like Montblanc Signature - Recommended.
