APSU

One of the best green compositions I've ever experienced. Apsu is so very green, fleeting and watery. Dewy. I love everything about it. Almost a meditative state. Mature, and has an urban feeling to it. The perfect image of a spring scent. Having worn it from time to time over three years now, unfortunately I have to say the performance is not very good. Sometimes it's very difficult to know if it's just you becoming anosmic, which I believe is often the case, or if it's actually the longevity that is poor. I'm not sure. Let's say longevity is somewhere between moderate, verging on slightly weaker side. I love the composition. The quality of the materials is good. However, I'm one of those who values decent performance quite a lot. And this is unfortunately not the case with Apsu . If you are into green, dewy, stemmy, aquatic somewhat masculine perfumes, I still think this is a must-try.

APSU is the glossy-leaf cool green of ivy leaves along the walls that surround a courtyard where there lies a koi pond with Sacred Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) blooms floating on its surface. It is the gentle dew trailing downward on the surface of tall, tropical foliage as a small rain cloud dampens the air with the most diaphanous mist. It cools my skin on these hot July days, calms me with its linalool-heavy coriander and unripe melon rind. There is nary a pinch of herb nor astringent bite, just a wee bit bitter, more so a translucent and virescent, sedate eau de Nil musk. Imagine a category for fragrances intended for contemplation, and APSU would be the perfect accompaniment.

Updating after neglecting this one for a full year I didn t like it at first : too light and faint i left it at my family's place for a full year and i am now rediscovered it in hot weather And it is now a love and i wear it as much as i can. Yes, it is light but it is so fresh and soothing, so harmoniously blended. It does amazing in the hot and humid weather.

The greenest of all green. I don't mind bathe in it. NOT astringent, NOT cloying, NOT sour, it's the fresh morning lawn. Then you get a ghost-like bitterness when it dries down, just to the right amount. Too bad its silage is weak as dying men's breath, longevity short as meteor star. Otherwise I'd wear it whole summer. This is a underappreciated perfume.

If you are looking for a just very green and moist scent, which is not aromatic, cutting, rough or flowery, but pure green like a dewy leaf or grass, this might be right for you.

this is beautiful and complex and cooling...animalic...but fresh and summery.

This is very sharp, although, keep in mind, sharp doesn't necessarily mean bad. The moment it hits the skin it is an explosion of greenness, like smelling the green side of a flower bouquet, perhaps even more so green, with dripping green juices from the cut ends, dewy almost, but definitely bitter. My immediate reaction was to turn away, but I kept coming back. Slowly it started making sense. So the top note seems to be a very intense concoction of linalool heavy notes, coriander bergamot, sparkly, clean, and zingy, paired with an unrelenting green core. It produces the equivalent olfactory sensation of bitterness, like chewing on grass as a kid (or maybe that was just me). The dry down I find equally strange actually, you get an almost powdery feel to it, slightly woody, slightly soapy slightly leathery almost, perhaps a part of the jasmine accord brings a parchment like quality, but no sweetness at all. Quite a strange experience in general, I don't know what to make of it, I want to say I like it but I don't know why, neither can I imagine where I would wear this too, If I had to guess probably at home drinking the most bitter tea I can find.

Ok so it' reminds nothing of Amazing green which is my all time favourite perfum. Let's discuss the difference between the two, they are both incredibly green perfumes.i would say Apsu is the fresh green, which you would use it in the light of the sun, it doesn't smell of cucomber but more of watermelon( nothing fruity dont get me wrong!) it bridges between green , not mature, vegetables and fresh florals (violet, iris and ninfea). Pink pepper does a great lot, it enhances all the fagrances like salt on food and pins it to the skin. Drydown is musky and cedary, very safe and pleasnt. Amazing green it's something you would wear in the evning or when you are under a shadow with that gunpowder hint instead of pepper. Incredible! As most of fresh and green fragrances they don't last that long which is normal and the volatile quality of green perfumes that are my favourite of all. I suggest trying Nuit the bakelitè and coven if you want something greenish for the winter. Much more complex and full-bodied but could be good options to transpose the green feeling in cold weather

So wet and green! Apsu transports me. This is sitting in freshly mown grass still a little wet from morning dew and peeling a banana. A firm green banana not the dark, bready, ripe kind. I get fresh cilantro and a whisper of iris hiding in the background. I don't know what's creating that underripe banana note. The scent is calming, fresh, and bright. At the forefront though is grass. And like most grassy, green freshies, it's fleeting. A smoothie before yoga. Used all up in an hour and leaving you hungry for something more substantial.

Very refreshing and green. A supergreen herbal with a ton of aquatic notes kind of harmonize together to make a very bright, clean smell. Mildly soapy. It’s not as strong as I’d want it to be, but that kind of makes it a perfect inoffensive clean smell for the office. The white tea notes are so subtle but it makes me just wanna keep smelling myself over and over. Solid fragrance

I would swear this has gunpowder in it because to my nose it smells EXACTLY like comme des garcons amazingreens. Soooooo masculine. I find nothing feminine about it at all. I got a sample because I love green fragrances this is green but a manly green. Too bad for me but would be magnificent for any man. It’s really nice.

Veery green and fresh. Smells like a garden to the extent that I actually don't know if it fully works as a main scent for me. Coriander is somewhat dominant, and I think it has an almost cucumbery note. It's quite nice but a bit too garden/lawn-like for me.

It’s a beautiful scent, it really is - if you want dewy green you got it. But I always seem to have the same problem with Ulrich Lang scents... they never stay long enough to really develop! Within an hour or two it completely disappears. Such a shame.

Lovely. Newly-mown, green, sweet hay. The white tea and faint cedar providing extra freshness. Drying down to a gentle dry hay smell before fading into soft, airy musk. This is so light and simple. A straightforward grassy green.

Green green green greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnn!!!!! The greenest of the greens. On the same shelf with CdG Amazingreen, CN Cyber Garden, PG Papyrus de Ciane and JSP Eiderantler. Not exactly identical to any of those, although it shares strong similarities with the first two listed. Assuming you opt for this one, you won't need any other green frag in your collection. This perfume strongly reminds me of Un Jardin Sur Le Toit by Hermes with Apsu being slightly less well balanced and more masculine.

The coriander note in the dry down is very prominent on me and I find that off-putting. Just a basic uninteresting green scent.

Freshly cut wet grass. Or minty leaves. In a blindfold test, the subject wouldn't know this scent is actually a fragrance.

This one is a real stinker. A cucumber dipped in bleach. Never rushed to the sink so fast to wash it off my wrist.

Apsu has lots of fresh green notes, without getting even close to the mainstream of fresh fragrances. I think I smell something like banana or banana leaf which is very distinct and recognizable. By the word distinct, I mean it attracts attention, but stays away from crowd with such an arrogant attitude. It has a minimalist character of the contemporary life in a warm city near sea during summer. I think what vibrates the salty sea impression for me is the water lily note and it is well combined with other notes,as it doesn't smell synthetically aquatic. As the time passes, it gets better, maybe less fresh and more floral. It still has its first signature, just gets maybe a little looser.The long lasting power is enormous for a fresh perfume.

APSU is green and fresh, and juicy....for its top notes. First spray was like a splash of mixed green juices from really freshly-cut grass and leaves and cool cucumbers crisply broken. Just when I was thinking how fresh APSU is over my expectations and I am going to enjoy this for a while, tops notes are gone before I finish thinking. Middle notes and base notes are calm and sedated musk and woody smell that have almost no sillage on my skin. I have to dive my nose between hairs on my forearm to notice I have sprayed some there. Every time I spray APSU i kind of enjoy taking a few quick breaths like racing against its momentariness. Overall APSU is good if you want some green freshness, for even a short short short moment.

My coworker said it smelled like cilantro. The bite of the green notes is so sharp and so spicy. I absolutely cannot wear this. It reminded me of when I spend a day de-weeding and trimming plants in my backyard. If you want to smell like a landscaper, then you are set with this one. The reason I thought I would like it is because I like other green fresh and slightly florals. Like GAP Grass, Baiser Vole, Florabotanica, and even Truth. Too bad this one was just way off. It's gotta be a chemistry thing, because it HAS to smell good on someone out there

Personally I love this ultra green scent. Some people in the reviews seem shocked by the smell so don’t buy this if you don’t like fresh green scents. On me or lasts a long long time, but my friend used it and said it disappeared on him shortly after application. I think that his experience is more consistent with the reviews. I love this for spring, and I only wear it in the spring. It has such a clean, simple scent profile so I think it’s perfect for a fresh revitalizing scent after winter. Highly recommend.

Dewy and green, a gentle refreshing glass of green juice, quite invigorating for the summer time almost tea-esque but not quite. Imagine holding onto a fresh bouquet from the florist, simple and not at all synthetic. Jasmine dominates for the most part of the perfume but it does make me feel cooler on a blazing hot summer day, i do wear this to work quite frequently.

All the green. Water lily, tea, musk, black pepper. If a pond had a glass walk through under it, this is what the tour guide would wear. A masculine version of Arden's White Tea. In the dry down we get cedar wood and a blacker tea with bitter citrus. Same guy wears it, but off duty he takes his evening tea ritual serious AF.

Green Cucumber musk. like a greeny dew with antioxidant juice blend on side and overdoses of cucumbers & Violet Leaves. Slightly sweet grassy, and bit musky somehow. Too weak but i believe it should be that way if they wanted to capture the natural freshness and grassy essence.

This is one of my top fav fragrances. To me it is a delish combo of the best green scents and pepper. I love it on my skin...makes me feel like I'm walking in a fresh green field. My daughter smelled watermelon...saw someone else mentioned that as well...

For me this juice stays pretty close to the way back discontinued Lagerfeld Men. About 30 min after application you will get almost the same vibe. Moderate projection and longevity.
