Jardins de Misfah

Buried in previous reviews, a few folks mentioned this perfume as being reminiscent of Dries Van Noten "Soie Malaquais." I own a full bottle of Soie Malaquais and I ADORE the fragrance. With that said, I hoard and guard my bottle of Soie Malaquais 'cause the stuff is SO DARN EXPENSIVE. Jardins de Misfah and Soie Malaquais are completely different fragrances, IMHO. Jardins de Misfah Eau de Parfum opens differently than the extrait version; however, the dry downs are quite similar. The opening of Jardins de Misfah is VERY sharp, pungent and intensely spicy with nutmeg, saffron, cardamom and other evident spices. I'm always fearful of "date," or honey-date scents and the date accord is quite strong with this fragrance. The eau de parfum's fruity-date notes immediately emerge. But to my nose, the floral notes, specifically rose are a bit more prominent with the eau de parfum version as opposed to the extrait. The extrait version opens with a clear almond or a bitter almond accord, which softens the perfume's edges. The immediate presence of almond creates a rounder, creamier, denser fragrance compared to the Eau de Parfum. The almond accord makes the extrait feel earthier, more meditative, more sultry (I think). The perfume version is bright, almost sparkly, a bit loud and very very very spicy. I think, too the eau de parfum radiates more, has greater silage versus the extrait. And there is a definite date, or prune note present, start to finish in JdM...the date accord cannot be missed. Purchased 100ml bottles of the extrait and edp.

This is a really interesting scent. My very first thoughts on the opening were that it reminded me of a luxury aromatherapy spa in an Andalusian setting. Unisex vibes immediately. Both myself and my twenty something son were impressed with it. There are dates but they are fresh off the stalk as is the rose. It's not very sweet for me although others say it is. It's freshness for me, would allow me to wear this in Summer. It smells like a beautiful essential oil mix, again Spa vibes. I struggle to pick out the cardamon to be honest. The drydown is slightly creamy and nutty but with a slight, airy sweetness. Longevity is fair. The packaging and customer service from Une Nuit Nomade was also excellent. I will definitely purchase a full bottle. My son wants some too! Update: I've had this a few months now and what it has become is a rich black treacle and saffron with pungent ripe, fresh dates, rosewater and a warm treacly, vanilla and saffron drydown. This is the scent of Ramadan for me - shopping in Middle Eastern and South Asian grocery stores, choosing fruits and spices and going home for cozy evenings, preparing rosewater almond cookies and chai for Iftar.I will wear this in Ramadan and smell it afterwards for the memory. Its comforting and calming and a natural, culinary gourmand. some people will find this one weird but its a vibe that if you know, you know. This is not a modern synthetic or pretty-pretty scent, its organic and real.

ohhh yes yes yes . this is so wonderfull . i had a hard time trying to read the note and think how this could smell like . I have been craving Dates and dryed fruits lately so this one poped up on my radar. I read every review trying to figuere out how this would smell. and blind bought this one and oh yes this is wonderful. the rose is taif rose like , rose oil almost feels like turchis delight Rose and together with almonds and saffron its such a treat . feels like an oriental scent to me .The dates sweetnes mixing so well with all the other notes . Its sweet but not cloying sweet at least not to me .Its not to young not to old ,its balanced just perfect . there is a slight dirtynes to it with the saffron and probebly nutmeg (not sure if i pick up much of the later one) making it a tiny bit sour tartnes that to me balance the sweetnes very well . There is almost a feel of honey here to . This one lasts longer then the other ones i have tryed from the brand to . Radiates well for 4-5 hours before it becomes more of a skin scent. Perfect for summer nights and into autumn is my feel straight away

This is so pretty!! I was afraid of that saffron note. I don't smell it at all. This has all of my favorite notes...dates, cardamom, nutmeg, almond, rose and this is moving it's way on up to the top of my rose frags. If I had to say this smells similar to anything, I'd say Soie Malaquais, Attar Al Has Exquisite and City Rhythm Sultry (not in the Fragrantica database). It's a sweet, fruity and gourmand leaning rose. And if you do your research, you can find full-size bottles of this for less than $125. I'll be getting a FB very soon. This 10 ml decant isn't going to be enough. 💜 Edit: how cool is this...on the unenuitnomade.com they're offering a 100 ml bottle plus four 5 ml bottles of enhancer notes. Spices, date, almond and rose. So you can amp up your fave note in this fragrance. I think that's pretty cool!! That's limited to 100 bottles though so I guess when 100 bottles are gone, they'll remove that option from their website.

I am quite impressed. I watched a YOUTUBE fragrance blogger discuss this scent as a pretty first date scent, so I ordered a sample. I compared this to other almondy florals such as Psychedelic Love, and Remember Me by Jovoy, and a host of others. The other ones did have either cardamom, almonds, rose or spices too. Frankly, this one wins hands down. This is gorgeous....I mean truly beautiful. I ordered a bottle immediately. Love the saffron in the dry down. This may be a head-turner or not, but I will love wearing this in the cooler weather, day or night. With COVID still rearing its ugly head, work from home days will be really enjoyable . I can only describe this as freshly spiced, sweet dates combined with honey, ground almonds and rose water, and sprinkled with saffron. Not too sweet, slightly spicy, yet this one projects and lasts. It is such a unique gourmand fragrance.

This one would layer beautifully with a cherry scent. Jardins De Misfah is truly a very unique scent. It's creamy, gourmand, but rosey, sweet, and juicy, yet airy, and spicy. I don't like almond notes in perfumes, but the way almond works with the dates, rose, and spices makes this one so intoxicating. I am fully immersed and hooked. I get a pretty drastic difference from the way this one smells on paper compared to your skin. It's denser and creamier on my skin, and gives off that fresh spicy airiness in sillage. While on paper, that fresh spicy airiness is more prominent (which is the best part of this perfume btw). The spicy airiness is fresh and contributes to that addictive sweetness in this one. Could it be the saffron note that contributes to that fresh spicy airiness? A goodie and unique. 9/10

Cardamom and saffron done right. When used too heavily or with the wrong notes these can ruin a perfume composition but here they are used to optimal effect- highlighting the lush dense rose and honeyed syrupy dates in the heart of this perfume, with the cool spice of cardamom and that slightly hot metallic feel that saffron can give. They serve to leaven what could be a heavy dough and make it rise in waves of very sweet scent. The dry down on this is rich honey pastries and rose water against a powdery, nutty back drop. I also perceive cherry juice and a very dark but faint chocolate adding to all this lusciousness. It’s beautiful. I would categorize this as a fall fragrance perfect for chilly evenings, it may be a little too opulent for hot weather.

There was a Lebanese restaurant near my old college apartment in New Orleans that served this sweet, ever-so-slightly tart iced tea with a heavy splash of rose water and pine nuts. I would order a huge glass every time I went (which was often) and finish my meal with a delicious, fragrant little plate of baklava. Jardins de Misfah reminds of this: a mouthwatering marriage of crisp florals and rich spices. The rose note is so fresh and pairs beautifully with the warm, almost jammy date component. It is deeply, deeply romantic. Needless to say, this was love at first sniff for me. I live in a bit cooler climate now, so I can see myself actually wearing this year round. Totally FBW. Definitely my new date night fragrance (pun intended).

This fragrance is beautiful. Thankfully, I don’t get a jammy rose. To me, the rose is more watery and certainly not overbearing. I also have their newest fragrance Sugar Leather and they layer well together (sugar leather as a base). I blind bought this and I am so happy to have it. I cannot compare it to more than one fragrance, Rose 1845. They are not identical but they could be sisters. The rose in Rose 1845 is a bit more green and prominent. I am impressed with Une Nuit Nomade. On their official website, you can purchase it 15 Euros cheaper without the box. Several YouTube influencers offer 10% off codes. I purchased this on a Friday and received it on Tuesday. Super fast shipping. I hope they will make body products one day.

Reminds me of Dries Van Noten’s Soie Malaquais but easier to wear and way better value! The nutmeg note gives this a more fresh take than the latter. I personally like this one better. I find Soie Malaquais a bit overwhelming and bit too dressed up, like good for a wedding— it’s quite dense and a bit cloying. Jardin de Misfah is very well-balanced and better-suited for less-formal settings. Prominent notes of Cardamom, Dates and Rose. It’s quite beautiful! I would describe this perfume as elegant, sweet, silky, feminine, grown-woman-vibes. The almond note is a just a whiff— not too much! This would be a good one to wear on a date in autumn or for whenever you want to lean on to your more feminine side. Highly recommend!

this fragrance reminds me of my childhood. I was in Japan and i woke up by a smell, it was my mom wearing something that smells nice (i'm not sure if it's perfume or lotion or skincare etc) and my my dad applying his fragrance after bath. The smell was a mix of so many things (perfume, skincare, maybe the weather, the room smell, etc) and turns into a smell in which this fragrance reminds me of that. I think its the most versatile fragrance for me, it's for both man and women (even though most people say it's for women, it reminds me of my dad, which smells quite handsome). And i think this can be worn all year round, it's sweet and floral (women), it's warm and 'woody?' (man).

There are very few perfumes I could call a masterpiece, and this is one of them. This fragrance is enchanting and distinctively memorable. The initial burst is a delightful jammy rose, exuding sweetness and freshness, yet it's the lingering dry down that truly captivates. It's one of the most exquisite aspects of this scent, unfolding as sweet, ethereal, and irresistibly sophisticated. I couldn't even understand what was the beautiful wafts of smell I kept getting until I realized it was Jardins de Misfah. Definitely not a fragrance to blind buy, as it takes time to understand this complex and strikingly beautiful scent.

I just ordered my second bottle in time for Ramadhan. I reviewed this a couple of years ago I think and I still hold this up as my Ramadhan scent. It's so natural smelling, nothing synthetic about it at all and it just reminds me of shopping for ingredients for Iftar, fresh dates, rose water, saffron, cardamon et al. For me it's just a wholesome, peaceful, organic fragrance that makes me feel at ease, homely and soothed but not out of place at a gathering or dinner either. A dignified, serene and comforting sweet deep rose, lightly spiced with all the best type of nostalgia and gets better and better with time.

I knew I would be getting a bottle almost immediately after trying it, this scent is so addictive. The fragrance opens up very fresh and gently spiced. Although there’s no citrus notes listed, there’s definitely something bright mixing in to give an uplifting and not too heavy quality. As it dries down, the date stays but it gets more almondy and saffron really shines through. Jardins de misfah is lovely and complex and so wearable. I could not stop sniffing myself at work when I wore this. It lasts 8-10 hours at a moderate projection. I think it’s unisex although you have to like a natural sweetness.

Oh so lovely. Instant love. I tested and immediately went for a full bottle. Very light, very subtle, with a hint of sweetness. I normally go for much stronger perfumes, but this one is so perfect and versatile, especially for cooler days when you want to just smell clean, sweet and innocent. Deifnitely a compliment catcher. I like the Extrait version too, but not enough to go for a full bottle. They are not that different in my opinion, the original version is a little more uplifting to my nose. I think it’s a pretty safe blind buy and I already know I will buy a couple of these to gift them.

On initial spray: bright spicy Cardamom and nutmeg. very warm. Saffron come through giving this a tea like scent. then about 3mins you get the sweet almond and Dates with A syrupy dark rose. The spiciness softens and hangs out in the background holding up the notes. Dries down to a Jammy Delicious Rose. I love how this fragrance transitions from a warm scent to a cool powdery. Its beautiful! I need a full bottle. This leans a bit more feminine IMO but I can see a man wearing this as well. If you Love a Rose fragrance, get your sniffer on this! soooo good. 10/10 hands down.

Gorgeous, sweet, gourmand and yet classy; this one is a gem. A 'safe gem', but no less beautiful. It opens with a hit of sweet, honeyed dates followed by a muted, yet realistic red rose scent. The saffron, nutmeg and cardamom are not very prominent, but make the composition more interesting. I personally do not detect the base notes very much (and in all honesty not even the opening notes), so this makes for a somewhat linear experience. However, that's not always a problem. This is an exotic gourmand, which is soft and inoffensive at the same time.

Wow wow wow!!! This is stunning! I haven’t been so pleasantly surprised by a blind buy in a really long time. You can REALLY smell the sweet, delicious, and thick dates, which is really rare to find in a fragrance. When a fragrance mentions dates in the notes I can usually hardly smell them, but here they are so pronounced. Anyways, the rose is also so syrupy and jammy and sweet, mixed with some saffron and almond. Overall it’s a very sweet, delicious, oriental smelling perfume. And I’m inlove with it!!!🌴🥀

To add to what's been said below, this scent is delicious. Sweet and gourmandish but in a different way to many other gourmand fragrances. The date is very realistic, and coupled with the floral quality of the rose and the slight warm spiciness of the other notes it just smells amazing. Would love to wear this on summer evenings. Even though it's quite sweet, and may therefore be too much if sprayed liberally in hot weather, it does retain some lightness so I feel would work if used in moderate quantities.

I tried it in summer and wasn't impressed. Now it's winter where I live and I fell in love. I suppose it's a complex perfume that depends on mood, weather and other factors. Basically, it's a spicy rose perfume, especially in the beginning. On the drydown it's creamier (probably because of almond note). I wouldn't call this perfume gourmand because it doesn't smell edible, but it's a good choice for everyone - gourmand lovers and gourmand haters. Also, it smells quite unisex especially on the drydown.

I agree with forêt below, it's hard to get my nose around this one. Only works ok-ish if I try to see it as a sort of classic male cologne, focusing on the tart freshness first... and then invite to my attention the sweeter more spicy, ambery elements as add-ons? I want to love it but it's somehow disconnected? Could it be that the cardamom is too sharp? Sillage and longevity above average. Very happy my first meeting with this house was Memory Motel which I love until the end of time.

Completely infatuated from the first mist. Opens with a rich note of syrupy dates along with a touch of cardamom spice and nuttiness. It’s immersive without being cloying. Then rose emerges as soft and diffused under a lingering touch of sweetness from the dates and honey as it dries down. Just lovely. I have a sample from the discovery set and while it’s not something I’d wear every day, it will go on my wishlist. Would probably buy a travel size if they had one. 8/10

To my nose, this is totally "Lush's Rose Jam ... But Make it Christmas!" This is a sweet and jammy rose, but with spices, dates, and nuts. It smells like a plate of fruit cake with a side of Turkish Delight, and it smells delicious. Rose-dominated fragrances are my favorite kind of perfumes for the most part, and this is the very first rose that I've smelled that makes me think of the Holiday Season. It's floral, jammy, warm, and delicious.

Love this one! It was a blind buy based on the notes and I am not disappointed. I can definitely smell the spices in the opening - nutmeg is stronger than cardamom on me. It's sweet from the start, but the spicy sweetness turns into a creamy, rosy one. I can detect saffron in the background. I wish it lasted longer! This smells like an oriental bazaar mixed with rose gardens - in the best possible way. EDIT: only lasts about 4 hours.

I made the mistake of trying this one first out of the discovery set. I couldn't get it off my mind! I had to take a long break to just enjoy it without any distractions. The nutmeg with cardamon are sharp, but the rest of composition frames it perfectly.. Spicy, Rosy, bold. This is no English garden with trimmed bushes. This one is raw and prickly, wild, untamed and in that freedom, absolutely beautiful. Big love on first try!

It starts with a burst of notes - honey, rose, spiciness (Saffron, Cardamom), sweet water in a metallic cup, and then it settles in a beautiful harmony and becomes a gorgeous gourmand (not edible or too sweet), thick perfume. When I put it on immediately I was in my mind transported back to Dubai’s souk (bazaar) and I had the song “Arabian Nights” playing in my head 😍 I think this is a nighttime unisex scent.

yummy! But not a gourmand, more like eating dates while walking through a blossoming garden I also got something fresh and citrusy right upon spraying, the spices on top give it nice freshness very original composition, can't find anything to compare it with for me it's not overly sweet although I do not wear gourmands and do not like sweet florals it's spicy-sweet, edible but aromatic at the same time

Okay first Sugared Leather and now this??? Whoa this house is moving up to the top of my list of fave houses. I am not one of those fragrance lovers who can describe notes very well but I get florals, and spices. And it smelled addicting to my nose. Only have worn it once in the house so cannot speak for outside or longevity in certain weather but I will be sure to report back. Love love love it

This is ONE SEXY fragrance !!! I want to bite my hand, it’s not gourmand but its just too goodddd! It does have that shampooing feel way in the back but don’t let that scare you. This is an alluring scent. Guys....the dates with the rose ouuuhh boy 🔥 So sweet, yet a bit spicy, fresh, yet sexy. Perfect for date nights this fall & winter. Super feminine in my opinion but do as you please. 10/10!

the rosewater and date blend together so beautifully that i almost forgot that i usually get a migraine from all the other notes in this. for people who's skin doesnt react well to honey notes, this is perfect for you! its sweet without being sugary and full bodied instead of spicy. for some reason, when i have it on, it smells exactly like how a gerwurztraminer wine tastes.

I love this. Rose Jam plus sticky dates from lush. Sweet and spicy rose. Syrupy dates and soft cloudy saffron and almond. Longevity is average Projection is decent. This is the perfect spring summer rose gourmand for me. I’m not a fan of clean and citrus perfumes so spring summer is always a hard category for me. This is exactly what I’m looking for in warmer weather.

One of the most unique rose-dominant fragrances I've tried. The dates and almond provide a sweet, lotion-like creaminess which gives off a very airy feel to it. Easy to wear, works wonders on skin in the heat, with decent lasting power. Instant mood-booster. I would rate this as: Scent: 5/5 Longevity & Sillage: 3.5/5 Would repurchase this for sure.

Wonderful! Honeyed roses, sweet date syrup, but not cloying as it is kind of light. Almost a gourmand, but a middle eastern take on it. Reminds me of baklava (the best dessert ever) but with rose water somewhere in it. I has a lightness to it, it's one of those scents that feel fluffy. A distinct scent, I think it easily could be a signature.

It was love at first smell. First I ordered the tester, then the 50ml bottle. This scent is not like any other scent. Soft, sweet, enchanting. The ingredients form a special, complex unit, perhaps the date I feel the most. Makes my day if I smell the scent on myself. The only suprise is that I have not received any comment yet, good or bad.

Oh my.... this is beautiful. Rose and date are blended so well. It's very unique and mildly sweet. I think I am going to buy a full bottle. Little more towards feminine side but I think this is perfectly unisex. I even wear kilian LDBS so I have no problem rockin this. Lol Ambre Khandjar is still my favorite though.

I ́ve been a rose hater for so many years now, after owning and selling Delina. I only wore vanillas for so long time. Who would have known that one day I discover a new rose scent that I actually love... This is fresh and sweet at the same time. Sophisticated rose-gourmand. Super good alternation for vanillas.

Dreamy, warm, rich, sensual, a midsummer night's dream. Sweet without being nauseating. Warmly spicy as advertised. Delicious. Somehow delicate. This perfume accomplishes a lot with a relatively simple formula. It's a delight to me. I thought I'd like it but I didn't think it would be this good. 9 out of 10.

I will never shut up about how much I love this. First there’s a warm sticky dates smell, followed by rosewater syrup, and ends with a grounding almond note. It reminds me so strongly of the dessert, Kunafuh, without being overwhelmingly gourmand. I strongly recommend trying this out!

When I got it at first, I didn't like the smell. The sweetness felt overbearing. I've grown to love this fragrance. One spray is enough because it hits you quick, but the dry down is amazing and is what I really like about this perfume. It's my go to perfume at the moment.

I am not a fan of rose scents, but this one swept me off my feet. It also lasts 7-8 hours on skin and clothes. It is a beautiful combination of roses and dates. It almost sprinkles on my skin. Many fragrances from this brand are not my favourites, but this one is special.

This is really nice and it’s like nothing I have in my collection. It’s sweet but not sickening sweet and I get a clean fresh vibe from it. I love the way the dates are blended in this fragrance. I would recommend getting a sample before blind buying this fragrance.

This is probably one the best gourmand floral scents I’ve tried. Despite being sweet, it is not cloying or tooth-achingly sweet, and it’s quite fruity. It’s smooth and creamy, maybe that’s the almond? It’s gorgeous and I’m definitely getting a bottle of this.

Sunny, warm, and sweet—no day goes by without a compliment! I love this scent and sometimes layer it with a rose fragrance to enhance its rosy character and longevity, especially for my own nose. Others seem to notice this marvel even when I no longer do.

I’m surprised everyone talks about Chemin d’amande but rarely about this one. It’s the most original almond perfume I ever smelled! I get the spices, dates, florals, ahhhh a beautiful gourmand scent! Can’t wait to wear it in colder weather!

I love rose fragrances and this is my favorite. A jammy rose sweetened by dates, you get a touch of spice and green cardamom in the opening, with an almond drydown. One of my all-time favorite fragrances. To me, a masterpiece gourmand.

This fragrance is a soft, sweet delight and the date accord is so nice. It's unique (kinda) and a little spicy in the dry down, but I just wish it projected more. I think I can use it every day in Malaysia's hot weather.

Bought this in Vietnam, wore it in Paris, and it reminded me of home in Oman. The rose is warm, soft spicy, sensual, and incredibly comforting, exactly how I see Misfah. A beautiful fragrance I’d gladly buy again.

This and the extrait both are just other-worldly! I honestly welcome folks hating on them... Let's gatekeep the F out of these beauties, cause I can never get enough of their transcendent effect 💘💝🤗
