Love At First Sight

This is lilac the way it actually exists in the world, not the way lilac gets translated into a headachey purple perfume all too often. It’s a whole bush by a river with wet stems, snapped green sap, bruised leaves, petals that smell like cold air... ahh. Like you grabbed a branch too hard and got punished (or rewarded?) with plant juice. Delicious. It’s aggressively alive. Chlorophyllic is the word. Watery-green, breezy, slightly metallic in the sense of running water and crushed stems. This faint ozonic chill stitched through the florals makes it feel beyond photoreal, the watery note that reminiscent of a riverbank in spring. And god does it makes me want to be dramatic. I feel like a Victorian maiden collapsing into garden grass speckled with pretty lilacs. Who knew love at first sight would be one so bewitchingly botanical?

I love fresh lilacs, but haven't had a great time finding a lilac soliflore that I like as much as the real thing. This might be the closest I've found. The passion fruit plays a strong supporting role, one that may get overlooked by some noses, but is obvious to me as I have tried every lilac perfume I can find in an effort to find The One. While some lilac perfumes might become too cartoony, resembling a laundry product or air freshener, Love at First Sight does not. The lilac note is the most prominent and photorealistic. The passion fruit gives it a little more sweetness, brightness, and life, transforming it from laundry/air freshener to perfume. It performs reasonably well, too, as do all the fragrances I've tried from this brand, but doesn't get too heavy or suffocating.

The perfect scent for Spring! This scent is fresh, and very realistic/natural smelling. The beginning is a bit aldehydic with bergamot (which is not listed here but is on Une Nuit Nomad's website), but that dies down quickly to a more creamy and warm lilac scent. Every few sniffs I catch a bit of tart passionfruit as well, and it's just lovely with Lilac- I never would have put those two scents together. It's a very unique take on the fresh perfume category. The only disappointment here is that the scent isn't super long lasting, about 4 hours- but it's still totally worth it for the originality, you're not going to run into anyone else smelling like this. Maybe try a travel size so you can reapply it... :)

One of my favorite ever lilac fragrances, so perfect - it's exactly what I wanted it to be. The light, honey-like acacia and tangy passion fruit are very present, but remain in the background to beautifully amplify the lilac. This combo and the balance of the notes make such a gorgeous, photo realistic lilac.... The ambroxan isn't too strong for me (I barely notice it) and just adds a little musk and staying power, it's very pleasant. Need a full bottle ASAP. I adore this soooooo much <3

I adore this! I know most people are saying it smells like spring but to me this smells like southern hemisphere Christmas and takes me back to my childhood. It's reminding me of the smell of the house smelling of Christmas lilies and Christmas tree. I love the floral and tart combination. The passionfruit to lilac here is what the rhubarb to rose is in Delina. Makes me want to fill my house with lilacs. I want to buy a full bottle but can't find it stocked in Australia.

Fresh and dewy floral with a pronounced pop of citrus from the passionfruit. A little muskier on the drydown, but it’s a linear fragrance overall - it’s tart, floral and light. The passionfruit sticks around throughout most of the wear time, which is longer than you would expect given the scent profile. The name is really fitting for the feeling it evokes. Pure, innocent, fresh, romantic. Beautiful fragrance, perfect for spring.

So pretty, such a celebration of spring and blossoming lilac The pyramid is different on the official site Although I get the lilac immediately, the sweetness of it is toned down by the zesty bergamot with passionfruit on top. I couldn’t tell it’s passionfruit but there’s something distinctly juicy Acacia is almost like honey, plays well with photorealistic lilac I’m really not the one for florals but this is a happy beauty

Spring in a bottle! Like walking among acacias and lilacs when they're just starting to bloom. It's very fresh, light, a bit green and powdery. Powderness is similar to flower pollen, like dandelions. Passion fruit makes it slightly tart, but not too much. The longevity is moderate, around 5-6 hours on clothes. A perfect spring and summer scent or whenever you want to feel more happy and uplifted.

So feminine and pretty, with just a touch of greenness to make it unique. This vies with Guerlain's Idylle Love Blossom as a perfect wedding day or spring date scent. I associate lilacs with a lot of positive childhood memories, and the combination here with passionfruit makes it stand out from other lilac scents. Projectivity and sillage are middling.

Love by first sight - that is a true story! A lovely, fruity opening with distinct passion fruit notes. This fragrance is more floral and fresh than, for instance, Armani’s *Power of You*, which is sweeter with notes of vanilla. I like both, but this one is more elegant and unique; plus, ambroxan always works really well on my skin and lasts all day.

Very pretty fresh slightly sweet lilac, with some muskiness from passionfruit, overall I think the name suits it well, it does smell very feminine and romantic soft floral. It sort of makes me think of Issey Miyake A Drop minus solar notes.

Spring is in the air.......and so is Love At First Sight on my skin. Beautiful blooming lilac on a bed of Ambroxan. Yes, it leans a little feminine but a guy can pull it off.

Passionfruit and lilac?! Sign me up. This is beautiful on my skin. I don't really have anything quite like it. At first sniff, it reminded me of a really green fig.

I simultaneously love and hate this one. I hate the passionfruit but love the combo of the lilac and yellow smelling ambroxan.

The first thing I smelled was ambroxan so came here to check the notes and sure enuf..... Not a fan.

A soft floral scent. Mild with light to moderate projection. There is a smooth rather sweet lilac note, but what comes more to mind for me with this is actually Lillie of The Valley... Parle moi de Parfums Totally white is more of a lilac scent if that is what you are after though. It might be the combination with the acacia that tweaks the lilac more towards Lillie of The Valley... but I am not sure. Or if it’s just that it is softer, smoother.., Either way a nice soft innocent fragrance good for warm days or spring. I do not get much of the passion fruit though. Maybe a very light hint right after it’s sprayed on the skin. But there is no passion fruit detectable for me in dry down. Thankfully the ambroxan is kept very well mixed in and blended into the fragrance which is good as it then doesn’t take over the delicate flowers, but rather offers a very light woodesque foundation for them to lean on. Overall a very kind and timid flower fragrance with a tiny bit soapy ness or shampoo shower gel touch. But of good quality if that makes sense... But perhaps not my initial idea of what something called Love at first sight would offer...?😘 This represents to me what I would describe as a more hesitant shy and tender potential love affair which may never come to be or will fade into nothing but make you wish for a bit more, if that makes sense... It’s time is definitely spring and early summer as the lilacs and early seasonal flowers are at the center, along with the innocence of the composition as a whole. Intimate to light/moderate sillage and moderate longevity. I get about 3-4 hours of wear with this one before it fades significantly. And in the end there is pretty much just something sweet I can identify. The flower notes evaporate before that state, as does the ambroxan interestingly enough, as that usually is the last note standing in many fragrances. But here what lingers it is just something very lightly sugary sweet that I can detect only if I stick my nose into my skin where I have sprayed it initially. This house is very hyped up right now by many influencers and there are many discount codes flaunting out there too at the time of writing this review. So there is a small chance that this house may be a tiny bit overhyped...? The fragrances I have tried are nice. But perhaps not amazing or particularly creative, but rather a bit safe and dare I say generic? But perhaps still a good choice if one is a bit new to niche fragrances...? Or if one is looking for wearable scents for conservative environments...? Somewhat overpriced through if you ask me... Especially considering their rather low key display with quite simple bottles with a sticker on them and somewhat simple (albeit large) cartons. Personally I prefer simplicity when it comes to packaging as after all it’s the juice I am after. But when viewed as a whole from a price point of view it evokes some questions regarding their price level given that the juices also lack a bit of wow factor, in my opinion...🤔 Love at first sight is anyway a very safe and comforting choice. What I like most about it is that the flowers are not cloying or overpowering at all. And sometimes tender and safe is a good thing! I find this great also as a present for a young girl or someone trying out fragrances for the first time. ❣️

As with all Une nuit nomade fragrances I've tried so far, I would like this one to be bolder, noisier and more confident in its sillage. But maybe that's their charm - guaranteed discretion and elegance that most likely won't bother anyone? Love at first sight comes to me at the right time - a moody spring day is just right... perfect time to try it out. As a person who has lilac trees around the house, I can say - the opening note is definitely lilac. Some say the smell of the inside of a flower, others say the smell of a flower bathed in rain. Be that as it may, the fragrance is very realistic and composed almost in a naturalistic manner - without much kitsch and caricature overemphasis. A wonderful choice for spring! After a while (I noticed it after I got to work and did my first duties, approx. 2 hours after application), the smile on my face brings out the sweet smell of passion fruit. Such a fun feature, for passionfruit to come out after the lilac has done its job. XD I have always loved this scent! It's so subtle here, with no added sweetness, I perceive it more as a color (yellow) than a flavor. I think the name is perfectly chosen or are the notes perfectly chosen?! Anyway, I will definitely try to increase the dosage next time, and then decide if I'll buy a bottle. It could definitely find a place in my collection!

Visited a local niche perfume store today in Zagreb and said to the young lady working there that I am crazy about lilacs lately. Without hasitation she recommended me this fragrance, as it just came in. After trying 30 other fragrances afterwards, I came back to this one. Top notes are actually passion fruit and bergamot, heart notes are lilac, acasia and ylang-ylang and base notes are cashmeran and ambroxan. Those are written on the back of illustrated tester papers they spray the perfume on. When you read all that you'd probably think, just like I did, these notes won't go great together. Truth is, they somehow do. Passion fruit is not overpowering, doesn't smell cheap or juicy, lilac is present enough which was key for me and ylang-ylang is not too sweet, which also certainly helps. On my skin it turns out to be more zesty than on paper, which makes it more suitable for Summer days. It lasts for decent 6 hours gradually turning into a skin scent over time. Planning on getting a full bottle to enjoy it this Summer.

Got this as a free 25 mls with another purchase. Generally I don't wear or love green scents however I am a big fan of the scent of lilacs and wanted to add a fresher floral scent to my collection. Not disappointed. The lilacs are absolutely charming and very natural smelling. Despite everyones nose being different and we all pick up different notes blabla ,the review saying there is no lilac in this perfume is the craziest thing I have read on Fragrantica! This is an insanely lilac forward scent, for me it is the passion fruit that is not really standing out at all. It is Spring in a bottle. I literally could be closing my eyes and standing in my local park in May in front of the lilac bushes warmed by the early sun with fragrant dewdrop grass beneath. An ideal clean, after shower freshie. You must like lilacs for this one. A little powdery/violet-y in the dry down for me. Not super long lasting but lovely nonetheless. I like it, I don't love it and its a nice change of mood scent for me.
