I have selective anosmia to ambroxan and certain synthetic musks, which means a lot of popular fragrances either disappear on me or I only catch fragments. That's made building a collection challenging—I need fragrances with dense, detectable notes that actually register for me. Beril works. Really works. First spray reminded me immediately of CK Obsession, but cleaner and more refined. It's that same warm, spiced amber profile, but better quality and more modern. The extrait concentration helps—denser molecules, better projection, more of what I can actually smell. I applied it to my forearms and side of neck—just 2-3 sprays. The atomizer does a lighter spray than expected, but don't let that fool you. It projects well and stays in my space for hours. For someone with my anosmia, the fact that I'm detecting strong projection at 20+ minutes and still smelling it hours later tells you this has real performance. What surprised me: I thought an extrait this rich would be cold weather only, but it's balanced enough to wear year-round. Not heavy or cloying, just present. That's rare for me—most ambers either disappear or feel too dense. If you have similar anosmia issues (can't smell ambroxan, light musks, etc.), this is worth testing. The spice-amber-incense core is detectable, the performance is solid, and it fills a gap that's hard to find. For me, this became an instant signature. Pros: Works for anosmia to ambroxan/light musks, excellent longevity, balanced projection, year-round wearable Cons: Atomizer spray feels incomplete but still performs well, price at retail ($150-200+) is steep—got mine for $135 on Jomashop Longevity: 8-10+ hours (still evaluating) Sillage: Moderate to strong (arm's length projection with 2-3 sprays) Occasion: All seasons, day or evening, anytime

A wonderful composition of sweet mandarin orange and a vanillic amber on my skin. In the intial spray this fragrance is sooo juicy, slightly tangy and spicy like a cup of cinnamon-orange iced tea. Then minutes later into its dry-down It smells fresh and light like the aroma of tea. Beril to me feels delicate like a tea fragrance containing a rose-y floral, spiced vanilla accord that is watery, fuzzy and aromatic. It is never cloyingly fruity nor does it ever tickle the nose-hairs. Ultimately the scent profile is considerate and soft. I love this one and in my opinion it can be an amazing all year driver even in the summer with an emphasis on colder weathered days or seasons. It is definitely unisex oriented with a slight lean to the feminine side. 🍹🧊 🧊 9/10 Edit: Now that I've spent more time with this it really smells like a stroll through a rose garden where faint facets of rose saturate the air. You are smelling a cup of strong Jasmine tea mixed with hints of squeezed orange.

Opening:Wow I've never smelled a rose like this before, ever. It's a center stage SUPER bright rose with citric accents to it, has soapy nuances to it, a pinch of powder but barely perceptible. The spices are not as prominent as I expected them to be. Sampling from Beverly Hills samples. Mid: Oh okay same bright citrus rose, but now I can see the rose's details much better now that the incredible soapiness has faded. Absolutely. Stunning. Still, I can't say that I'm a fan of the soapiness. Could it be an overload of aldehydes being used in this one? I don't know.. I bought 6 bottles on the spot. Contemplating a 7th. Could it be Woud Moud? Chypre Toscano? Beril? We'll see!.

Wearing the last bits of my sample today. This is so so pretty. Soft florals, fresh sappy lemons and mandarins, true beauty for those who like fresh florals and dewy kind of scents. Longevity from this entire house is crazy. These fragrances last on clothes sometimes even after wash. Use gently and spray on the skin and you'll bee smelling divine from dusk till dawn. amber in the base is sweet kind, it softens up the florals making it more unisex than what you read from the notes, nice job!

Testing this blind from their discovery set, I know there's rose in the opening and it hung out throughout, but whatever it's blended with, I got an animalatic and sweet urine (not unpleasant side), then musky with a hint of powder, with amber or a resinous balsamic base. There's a brightness and crispness to the first phase that tones down to keep the fragrance fresh and fuzzy. This also keeps the rose far from a feminine leaning. What you get for most of the day is a more herbal rose, warm and a little earthy with (maybe juniper?) sharpness up top. Looking at the notes now, the pink peppercorn is what's add the sharpness, along with help from the mandarin orange and lemon. The other notes are all there, but I clearly pick up far more amber and musk than vetiver and/or patchouli. Its somewhat intoxicating, and doesn't scream rose even though it's clearly there.

Sweet, watery citruses enveloping a soft rose, spices, and amber. Honestly, though, regardless of what the note pyramid says... it smells a lot like a generic Ambroxan bomb to my nose. Maybe it's the way the jasmine interacts with the citruses and amber but I get major shower gel vibes, very uplifting and soapy clean. It differentiates itself a bit from the average "blue" fragrance with the rose note and added warmth, but I don't find it a significant departure. The first time I wore this, I could barely smell it after a couple hours. Must've just taken time for me to get used to smelling it because subsequent wearings performed better; it has that sneakiness of BR540 where the scent can disappear and reappear as it pleases. High initial projection steadily fades over 3-5hr with 10-12hr longevity.

Opened as sweet citrusy amber with a hint of rose. Later developed into warm woody patchouli and vetiver. Nothing too fancy. Like this but still don’t see myself buying a full bottle. After wearing it for about 15mins I suddenly smell rosy ambroxan or something. Quite a surprise, really. Pleasant surprise, making it more likable.

A clean but very simple fragrance. I couldn’t clearly pick out the individual notes. After the opening, within the first few hours, it turned into a musky clean-linen scent and stayed that way throughout. In my opinion, it’s very, very ordinary.

Mocny, płaski mało przyjemny - napewno daleki od skojarzeń wyjątkowego zapachu. Nie nazwałbym go też niczym niszowym - a raczej zapachem trudnym dla otoczenia. Nie udało mi się nawet po dłuższym czasie wyłapać pojedynczych nut. Cały czas jednolita woń.

I’m surprised there’s no marine notes. This smells like salty rose

Great frangrace that is truly unisex. This is the less aggressive cousin of desert oud by Habibi NY. This is smoother and less pronounced than Desert oud. (there is no Oud in Desert Oud - they just have the same aroma chemicals in them I can tell). The aroma chemicals in this have striking similarities to that Habibi fragrance but is much less aggressive and more citrus. The profile is an uplifting citrus rose. It can be feminine or masculine and it is right down the middle in my opinion. You can't go wrong with this one as it will do perfect in warm weather of even cold for that matter. It is uplifting and smooth and very well done. Better than Izmir in my opinion. MY rating only depicts only my profile preference because for you it may be a 10. Beril 7.6/10

Beryl is a stone that, according to beliefs, brings protection and well-being. Beril is a fresh, decisive, spicy fragrance with a rose, barely hinted at initially, which blooms slowly and is accompanied by wonderful white flowers, remaining incisive, with slightly masculine nuances. Anyone knows me a little knows that for me, among the most sensual fragrances for a woman are precisely those with a light touch of virility: Beril makes you decisive, free but sensual at the same time, and yes, it gives well-being. Exceptionnal opening of very realistic mandarin orange and lemon. It's fresh, slightly zingy, slightly tart, juicy. The mandarin orange just covers everything else on my skin, I can't smell any rose, can't smell any jasmin. After an hour, it still smells of mandarin orange that just covers everything. It is weird, I do not get any floral, I do not get musk or patchouli, just straight up mandarin orange. After two hours I finally get some other notes, mostly vetiver and patchouli. Weird wearing experience for me when compared to others.

beryl is a stone that is made of dew do du? sometimes called coprolite. This actually smells like a version i encountered while handling and smelling some just before it petrifies. Its not rock, but also not wet. You can actually smell the cinnamon like the owner ate an apple pie. This smells just like coprolite or beryl(industry term). I cound eat it it smells so good

Interesting but I want to say I sampled this scent before. It escapes me where but the rose is well done. The florals keep this scent light and airy, while the patchouli and musk base keeps it grounded. I'd reach for this scent at the height of spring while there's still a slight chill in the air.
