Chypre Toscano

Leather note is prominent throughout the initial spray and the dry down, but retains that smooth yet smokey musk lavender playfulness to make it enjoyable. And being an extrait means it has fantastic! Performance. At only 113 for a brand new sealed bottle, this is a no-brainer for the cooler temps and aged 30 on up.

This is a more animalic and heavy; Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, Godolphin. Less fruity and more raw beast.

#1536 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant. This is certainly one of the strongest scents I've encountered. I'd put it on par with Boadicea the Victorious "Complex" for raw power. Some aspects of PDM "Herod", Oakcha "Moira." But it smells more like the Bigelow "Cinnamon Stick" tea I drank all through college or the cinnamon and clove chai at a Sushi restaurant where I used to have lunch. Over the years I've become more clove averse. While I have a couple of dozen scents with the clove and cinnamon combination this has, none with this much clove that borders on camphoric in the opening. So, while this has a lot of bestial aspects I really like, and I love the potency and projection, the brutally strong clove opening makes this something I don't enjoy until well into the dry down when it takes on a more barbershop quality. Overall I eventually like it. I'm just not sure I would ever wear it. That said, this is not a Chypre I would wear in the office. For that I want a Chypre with some citrus, like Dior "Eau Sauvage Parfum." This is not safe for the carpool, tight spaces, long elevator rides until 30 minutes into the dry down. The people around will think you just rinsed with Lavoris mouthwash seconds ago, or that you've been chewing clove-based chewing gum. I like Lavoris mouthwash, I just don't want to smell it for a half hour commute. Lasts all day, projects six feet for the first hour. Not cheap, but not overpriced either.

Oh My! CAN IT BE!! This one smells like the long discontinued dark and dusty king Dsquared Potion Royal Black. How I miss that fragrance. Thankfully NOW there is Chypre Tuscano to take Potion Royal Black's place with the similar dark, rubbery, industrial leather almost reminiscent of industrial lubricant or petroleum. The rose note in PRB that granted the fragrance its cult following which comes off as dusty because of the dark leathery nuances is not here in Chypre Tuscano to provide a floral escape or relief from the darkness. Chypre Tuscano is just DARK and its Proud... This scent is dark, noir, tarry, oily, mysterious and sustains a strange but sharp chemical sweetness like burnt rubber or a whiteboard marker. The scent is definitely a challenging and daring one that follows the laws of vegetal and leathery darkness in Chypres. It has beastly performance - but do I have to even mention that? The scent profile speaks for itself. Bold and arousing... 🏭👞👜🐮 8.5/10 Edit: Wait a minute this also smells like Godolphin from Parfums de Marley without the fruit but I think Godolphin smells way too sharp - this however is smoother with a black tea note rounding the scent into gasoline-like territory and it doesn't much abuse my nostrils the way Godolphin does....

Testing this blind from their discovery set, I am not familiar with the brand or their fragrances. Opening here was kind of plum or grape sweet with a background and body of incense and oudy wood. While the sweetness dies down a little bit along with the fruit, they hang around adding some delicacy and freshness to the otherwise earthy and wood body, but as the day goes on sweetness all but disappears and a more dark powdery element begins to surface. Looking at the notes, I imagine the plumy sweetness is the black tea. All the other notes build this dark woody and powdery fragrance. Overall quite nice and pleasant with a twinkle of mysteriousness, but not edgy or weird in any way. I enjoyed it and it's great sillage and longevity performance keep my interest.

When I first sprayed it on, I instantly thought that I've smelled this before. The raspberry - which isn't even listed here - is giving me 95% if not 100% comparable to Royal Crown's Upper Class which itself is a take of Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather. Chypre Toscano even smells like it uses the same naturals as the Royal Crown. I don't get much leather in the opening and wouldn't call it aromatic either. I'd say raspberry backed by woody undertones for the first hour, with the leather aspects slowly becoming more prominent. For $200 (100ml), this is actually good if not great value. Original Tuscan Leather now sells for what, $390 in 100ml? And I've heard Tuscan Leather doesn't perform that well anymore either.

A somewhat pungent leather tempered with an airy sweetness. The leather is most prominent with the violet giving a faint petro accord, ala Dior Fahrenheit, but the herbs/flowers lend it a fresh aromatic touch and the spices add a fizzy pop such that it's not overwhelmingly skanky. Somewhere between Tuscan and Ombre Leather, this is more or less skanky leather + fresh lavender with light supporting accents. Moderately strong initial projection fades within 2-3hr on skin but pushes closer to 8hr off clothes in close range, longevity 12hr+.

The first of this house that I don’t particularly enjoy. The leather just simply overwhelmed everything else. Edit. After wearing it for several hrs, I sort of gotten used to the scent and it’s not too bad after all.

Ehhh I wouldn't really compare it to Tuscan Leather just because it has the prominent leathery note. It's quite dry, and I don't detect any raspberry in this concoction. Instead, it has a hint of floral powderiness that makes it enjoyable. Definitely not overpowering, since the leather note is still a strong centerpiece in this one. The spices and resins used in this one make it all the more lovelier. It's more mature than Tuscan Leather if such a thing were possible. It gives off a serious tone, with its leather, very woody, and piney green nuances. Sample from Beverly Hills Perfumery. I would say 30+ age-wise would be fair to say. I don't see any teenagers pulling this one off, but hey. I enjoyed my sample, but I haven't made a firm decision on whether or not I'd get a full bottle. This is only because it's not my style. If I were to smell this on anyone in public, man or lady, I would certainly appreciate it. High quality ingredients thrown in a bottle nonetheless.

Straight up animalic cowboy and horse saddle leather that's been left out in the sun. Rustic, tough, and very manly. Feels like it needs to be dressed up though, it's not really a jeans + t-shirt kinda scent. I can see myself wearing this with a really nice suit and some killer wingtips. Probably the most true leather I ever smelt in a perfume and I'm not even slightly exaggerating, there's no mistaking that note for anything else. I've smelled so many leather fragrances that come across as a polished leather jacket but idk man, this is barnyard as fk and I love it. You can almost smell the cow still mooing in the background. This is a scent that knows what it wants to be and does it better than everyone else in that regard. Lasts an eternity on skin and projects like it has a point to prove. Made for the kind of man that isn't afraid of his masculinity and smells like some shit Clint Eastwood would wear to a shoot out.

@Mo Elgazzar is absolutely correct - would not describe it any other way and I am simply repeating what he said. I will say this as well. Mirsaal of Trust from Afnan has striking similarities to this fragrance. Probably the same aroma ingredients in the fragrance is most likely why. Get yourself Mirsaal of Trust instead because they smell so similar and the performance on that one Afnan is insane. It would also be cheaper. Great quality though. if you love leather fragrances then DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS Unique E Luxury, its got great quality and depth.

Another La Yuquwam. Replace the raspberry with violet. I see it compared to TL but I don't think it is. TL seems very serious while Toscany remains playful just like La Yuquwam. An easier wear for non formal occasions. Especially, sweater downs.

Amazing scent mix of flowers with smoky leather creates an elegant gentlemen in his 40’s wearing tuxedo and a cigar in his hand its not a typical leather notes however its the main note but it has a touch of powdery flowers lavander and jasmine

TF Tuscan L çalışması. Süet yumuşak ve konforlu. Eğer TF TL seviyorsanız iyi bir alternatifiniz oldu. Kalıcılık kuvvetli.

Amazing pleasant scent. Leathery but it give a little fruity notes.
