When I first got into the perfume community, people told me to try Erba Pura because of its longevity and projection. But, well, oh well, it doesn't last long on me. It projects amazingly for around an hour, then it’s gone. I’ve tried Initio and Nishane, but none. NONE have SPL like this. At first spray, the scent tends to be overpowering and striking, but as it settles, it blends beautifully with my skin and molecules. It lasts for days on my clothes and a whole day on my skin. As someone with dry skin, where perfumes tend to evaporate quickly and project poorly.. this one is AMAZING. It smells like burnt caramel candy: super sweet, yet with a touch of bitterness. A lot of people mention a "burnt tire" note, and I kind of agree, but for me, it’s not in a bad way. It’s smoky and dries down smoothly, transitioning beautifully from note to note. I’d say this isn’t your typical sweet vanilla gourmand cake scent; it’s more like SWEET sweet, like actual caramel sweet. This isn't safe for blind buy because of the incense note though.. Well, i blind bought it but luckily it's a big hit for me;)

I have this perfume and I can say that this is totally unique and you smell amazingly delicious. People wrote very interesting comments here, and I don’t think they really test this perfume with time. When you start using it, first you feel you don’t like it (it is not a love at first sight), but then, omg! People ask me what I am wearing. This is a gourmand perfume and it is not too sweet. It really smells like a burned marshmallow. (I even burned my marshmallows and tried it to copy the scent, and it did! It smells the very first smoky vibes of the burning on my bbq.) Anyway, I am so happy that I own this. The bottle and packaging and the art is amazing. I love the brand spend so much time for such beautiful details. It is a real unisex. It is 100 ml and the price is ok, because you use that bottle for months! You just spray 2 and you smell hours. On your neck (neck of your clothes) it stays 2-3 days. I highly recommend this to give it a shot guys. Don’t just underestimate the ultra high quality.

I received a sample of this with another order. I know better than to sniff perfumes right after they have been delivered - then I forgot about this one for awhile. So, based on the reviews this is a pretty polarizing fragrance - that makes sense. However, I'm upset I smelled the sample finally because I NEED the full bottle. It is the perfect vanilla incense I've been hunting for. I really like Babycat and its various clones, but this is the creamy musky aspect I've been missing. It's beast mode, and probably going to be my signature scent. Sigh. Sorry wallet. Also - funny someone mentioned Byredo Vanille Antique. I love that one too and think you'll like this if you're a VA fan. VA to me is almost perfection, but I live in a humid hot environment and wearing that outside in summer is a huge no go. This scent actually sticks closer to the skin in the heat. Give it a sniff before blind buying for sure.

I blind bought this and usually my blind buys are wild successes. I know what I like and have a pretty large appreciation for a broad range of fragrances - especially anything with anything remotely associated with “Loukhom”... but this was brutal. Edit: tried it again and now I LOVE it, can’t stop wearing , WONT stop wearing it it. Now I’m not looking for loukhoum in it; just appreciating what it is. It’s a bit pine-y, forresty, outdoorsy, incensey. I like that. Sweet, yes. But not like other Turkish delight fragrances- much more unisex feeling. Sample first. But consider trying again later if you hate it at first and you do like incense and woodsy scents. Maybe if you aren’t looking for it to be a gourmand, you will like it more. Great to layer under something simple, a simple vanilla or marshmallow-y scent.

This is just a wow! With 3 sprays only, and man! Fills up my living room! I feel so warm and it reminded me my teenage years. I love strong fragrances so this one is made for me. I tested this one at the scentxplore in New York and I was amazed. The brand actually has many many good value perfumes. Good bottles and this is the only red bottle they offer. Other series are transparent glass. All looks beautiful. Mashumaro is definitely mirroring its name. And red and gold color matching to indicate its beast mode. For me, it has a very long silage and longevity. (People, please do not judge directly as “low silage” or “low quality”, as it depends on personal chemistry.) In story short, it should be owned by gourmand lovers and real niche perfume addicted people.

My newest marshmallow obsession. ♥️ This one opens up with a nice sweet toasted marshmallow with slight smokiness which is prominent in the beginning. As it transitions to the mid (to me), I get more of a woody, floral, green aromatic vibe (tangy, zingy, incense). It gives me like an "Aventus" mid (without the birch) with the marshmallow sweetness now more in the background. On the drydown, you still have the marshmallow throughout and you get some more of the vanilla. Overall, I love this one. Definitely worth a sample. That's what I did before purchasing to see what all the hype was about. Funny thing, the same day I received my sample it was available at one of favorite online shops. So I rushed to buy it like a crazy fraghead 😂. No regrets. Unisex. 😁

If Yum Bougie Marshmallow is for the Ladies, then Marshumaro is for the Men. Sampling yet again a few months back this year, this one had been an interesting sounding scent for my gourmand loving self. Marshmallow and Incense with some Caramel...like what's not to like?! On skin, this one has the right amount of sweet and smoky to where one does not shine brighter than the other. The scent gives off a vibe of smoking marshmallow around the campfire with a little caramel drizzled around it. I can't describe how amazing this one is and will definitely get me a bottle going out for this. 10/10

As close to a 10/10 a masculine gourmand fragrance can get It's kinda like YSL babycat, but 10 times better, buttery smooth and insane performance. I absolutely love this, one of my top 5 I've ever smelled, the way they captured the true smell of a burning marshmallow by the fire is incredible. I can strongly attest to the projection and longevity as well My only gripe with this perfume is the price point, I find it too much for a gourmand scent profile Thank you. Edit: 24 hours later and I still smell it faintly on my skin, by far one of the strongest fragrances I've ever tried

Mashumaro is a strangely addicting incense fragrance. I agree with a previous post referencing the phantom oud note. It is incense-y oud-y caramel and a hint of charred marshmallow. I love it soooo much, but it is not for everyone. This is an eclectic mix, incense and charred marshmallows, but more specifically overcharred burnt marshmallows where they start to turn inedible. The way I am describing it does the fragrance no justice. I am just trying to warn against potential buyers thinking this is a cloyingly sweet straightforward marshmallow. Because it is anything but that.

Love this house. Had a complicated start with this one. First was all smoke and cherry. Then the lovely marshmallow came out. But then I was stuck in the ashes. Learned to only use on skin, not clothing to avoid strong smokiness. The blend of toasted marshmallows with smoke, flowers and caramelly goodness is haunting. As per, their creations alchemize on your skin into incredible scent-sations; growing and changing into the next day. You have to wait. Wait for the blend of happiness.

Yes, this fragrance is unique and not a cookie cutter sweet floral, but I think it smells luxurious and expensive. The performance is excellent, even for someone whose skin usually does not project or hold on to perfume really well. It’s deep and multi faceted and I want to smell it over and over. I do not smell anything synthetic in Mashumaro and believe that it wares really well in colder weather or a night time, but also can be worn during the day in spring and fall.

This is an absolute beast of a perfume. I kept on resisting a blind buy, but then finally smelt a tester as I was buying one of my favs - Kilian Black Phantom - and I couldn't get it off me. Mashumaro stayed on me for the whole day and night, and I knew I had to buy it. Bought it the next day, and don't regret a single bit. It stays on me forever, and I spray a maximum of 3-4 sprays.

I was the first customer/owner of this perfume in the world :) Not kidding! i've been waiting it for a long time. That was an amazing moment to open and experience it. High-end Gourmand only the definition for me. Easy to wear not agressive as crush on me but more classy for me. You can feel the smooth transitions of notes on time. That is a eternal perfume. @mystoryechange I LOVE your review. I think people are not patient. With fragrances made using completely potent oils, a sharp opening is expected. But this dries down beautifully. I have gotten countless compliments from this fragrance. It is an acquired taste and very additive.

At first I did not like this at all. But ohhh the dry down is gorgeous with my ph. It is a rich oudy smoky scent. I absolutely love this line as the perfumes are made with quality and care. Everyone seems to hate this but it is absolutely phenomenal to me!

Based on @KiikiKiiki's review I just ordered this fragrance. I can't wait to receive to do a full review on it on my channel. I have a feeling I am going to love it. As if I needed another freaking perfume.

This smells like Initio side effect, initio oud for happiness, and Dior sauvage elixir all together and you can take those back this fragrance right here is yumdidlliscrumptious

This is a classy scent, really good one , take your nnose on it

Blind test, opening up as what comes across as a quite nice and warm ambery wood with vanilla and dark roasted spices, with just enough sweetness to keep friendly and comfortable. It suggests oud, but if so, its character is ghostly there, letting the other notes play out their roles. That sweetness and some of its amberly loveliness does unfortunately die down, leaving more of a dried wood feeling, but still keeping its spice character. By the middle of the day it's more of a herby-pine aromatic, pleasant, but that resinous and sweetness in the opening is all but completely gone. It gets a little bit more ashy at the end of the day, going from moderate to intimate projection and hanging around a bit longer than 12 hours. Thus, I'm a little surprised by the notes. I did test this once before it was added, and my notes then were more akin to toasted almonds, almost to a caramel popcorn vibe. However, looking at the notes the incense balances this gourmand expectation, giving it more maturity and depth. You never get marshmallow, milk, or praline. Think more incense and cashmere with a top caramel sweetness, and a hint of rose hanging out in the background. Its swing between warmth and sweetness says cool fall weather, playful but lets maybe stay in, flirty but intimate and cozy. Edit: 9/23 Somehow another sample landed in my blind test bag, and will just add it got a little too ashy/incense for me by the end of the day, loosing most of its initial lucious body, and projection felt strong, still lasting quite long.

This perfume is nothing like what the notes led me to believe it would smell like, and I really don’t think it smells sweet at all. To me it’s predominant note is the incense and something piney and sharp. I think I like it, but to my nose it is pretty bizarre and not what others describe. I wouldn’t consider it a gourmand, more like a spicy woody scent. It’s also got some cold, icey quality to it. I get a background marshmallow milkiness. It’s much more masculine than I presumed. My husband, knowing nothing about this fragrance, thinks it smells like orange creamsicle, no idea what he’s on about 🤣 Update: I put in on my wrists and inner elbows from a dabber sample at 8 AM and can still smell it at 6 PM. Longest lasting fragrance I’ve tried yet. And I do actually really like it, but I don’t think I’d commit to more of it. I already have By the Fireplace which it is similar to on the drydown, and that I like better.

Very surprised to see that people aren't reminded of BR540 when they smell this. To me, they absolutely share a lot of similarities in the first few hours. This is a very sweet and woody fragrance with a slightly smoky edge. It doesn't evolve at all, it's linear, not too complex. It's pretty nice, I like it. But it doesn't speak to me the way some other fragrances from the brand do. While I like the first few hours, I really love how it smells after 6+ hours. If you want a mass pleasing fragrance with insane performance, this is for you. This is very loud and potent.

It smells like marshmellows mixed with milk. It's a gourmet perfume. I like it, but it's definitely not worth 400 euros. My friend said he bought a similar shower scent from Watsons for 10 euros, sorry.

while it is a very lovely scent, it feels a tad feminine. not as unisex to my nose as others describe it being. it's just not for me. i feel like it would smell much better on a woman than on a man such as myself

I really felt like putting marshmallows on a roasting skewer and spinning them over the fire (: Extremely sweet and extremely burnt but extremely cozy. Yummm.... Appreciate the work but hard pass for me.

smells great, sweet fluffy and a bit woody, for 10 min or so, then turns into an ambroxan bomb - pretty disappointing for the price. but because of this, it has huge projection and lasts forever.

Disagree with Ramses' review - I don't think this smells anything like Crush on Me. Crush on Me is about 80% patchouli, 20% caramel on a very linear profile with minimal tonalities. So "remove the patchouli note" is already a very misleading comparison. Mashumaro opens with the same type of intense sweetness you get with scents like Black Opium, and Hundred Silent Ways. Like cloyingly, nuclear (sillage 9/10 or 10/10) sweet. Eventually the florals come in too, but some other tonalities that I can spot are the milky-creamy ones, and the nutty ones. For a while, it feels like it's kind-of trying to play around that "sensual campfire" vibe you see in scents like Xerjoff's "Bouquet Ideale". But the drydown smells like roasted/smoky marshmellow and/or chestnut, so I can definitely see why people would compare this to designer as the final drydown is pretty simple and lacks any sophistication. Overall, it's the blend quality that is a huge let-down here, with a synthetic DNA on-skin for at least an hour. Arguably, this has excessive amounts of sweet layers. Feels like it's feminine leaning in the top, and maybe for ~1-1.5 hours it actually is, but the scent does eventually go unisex as the base has male designer vibes. When rating it, I want to compare it to how I rated Initio's Side Effect - in the air, the scent is good-to-great, but on-skin, the Initio has a lot of hedione giving it a bitter bodyodor vibe; with Mashumaro, the scent on-skin smells like some of Montale's/Mancera's worst blends. I'd rate it a 5/10, even if the final scent in the deep 3h+ drydown is more closer to a 6-6.5.

IMHO this is a weird one. Not certain how I feel about it but I know it is not something I would purchase, certainly not at its current price point, or any price point, for that matter. This perfume is not something I can see myself wanting to wear on any regular basis. I'm disappointed but Mashumaro is just not a fragrance for me. So, this perfume opens as an EXTREMELY smoky, spot-on bonfire type scent. I do not get marshmallow, caramel, praline, vanilla or anything the least bit gourmand-y, or sweet. On my skin, this fragrance develops as a smoky, smoldering, wood bonfire note with some florals tossed in along with cashmere. There is definitely the presence of intense cashmere notes. After an hour or so, on my skin this EdP lands as a predominantly powdery, lactonic rose note with hints of ash and smoke. I find the fragrance very masculine leaning. As a woman, I cannot imagine wanting to walk around smelling like this all day long. There is nothing feminine, or uplifting, or pretty, or sweet about this EdP. I can say longevity is good and silage is medium-to-high. I just cannot imagine who might find this fragrance appealing.

Starts out with a heavy dose of marshmallow and smoke. Campfire smoke. Then you get that expensive musk that is present in a lot of luxury niche fragrances like Xerjoff and Tiziana Terenzi, if you know, you know. Then it remains as this strange smokey, marshmallowey, musky thing for a couple hours, then in the deep dry down I got a ton of cashmeran, no marshmallow and the smoke dissipated. The one thing I did get was a pretty big headache. This stuff is STRONG. I sprayed one mini spray on my wrist and even after trying to scrub it off, it's still projecting. Not a fan, it's not particularly feminine either. Definitely lives in the unisex realm. My head hurts... that's about it. Good on the brand for creating fragrances that project and last, but I haven't found one that I want a full bottle of yet. Also, I'm not understanding the Japanese theme.

Like KowltheOwl I would like to know what is that nose-burning chemical used in this perfume so I could avoid it like the plague in the future. I've smelt this note in several other niche perfumes, like erba pura for example. Is it a new "niche musk"? What's up with this trend lately to add this horrendous note which kills all the other notes? To me it's absolutely unwearable. Can't believe they are asking $380 for this chemical weapon. PS: and yes, I agree 100%, the new release from Byredo - Vanille Antique has the same piercing chemical note I smell in Mashumaro....

very woody and smoky with a hint of marshmallow. there’s a strong alcohol that’s also contributing to my negative feelings. something about the combination of sweet and smoky/woody is very nauseating to me (case in point, milk by commodity). i don’t hate this as much as that one though because at least i can actually smell the marshmallow in this one. while i don’t like it i thought i was going to hate it based on the negative reviews so... a win is a win!

Pretty much smells like the classic gourmand, AMen for Men by Mugler . Except just on a cloying basis (super strong) and more one dimensional/linear than AMen. Another niche scent with little point of difference except being cloying. Save your $ and enjoy Amen instead.

I was so excited for this perfume but it smells like a basket of vegetables (all sorts of green gourds to be specific) on my skin :/ I don’t get any of the notes listed, maybe just the woods and smoke but mostly vegetables .-.

As a non-gourmand lover, the opening is pretty delicious and artfully blended with the hint if lily of the valley. But soon after the heaviness of the base notes emerge. This is a very heavy musky amber. And I mean HEAVY.

Just sampled it. Smells like burnt plastic from start to finish. It has that same screechy, synthetic, chemical musk note like in erba pura. It's a shame it's named Marshmallow, because you wont find it here.

This is the first perfume that literally upset me and I'm usually much more open minded lol. I thought the notes would warm my little gourmet heart... but as others said, it's like someone put the wrong perfume in the bottle. It just smells musty. Picture this: A man that worked outside for a long period of time and instead of taking a shower they threw on some cologne. And then brings his funky butt over to your table to say hello. All of that in a bottle! No marshmallows, no flowers, no caramel, no pralines whatsoever. Thank goodness I decided to sample only.

I received this for test. I can smell where they were trying to go with this, but I just could not get into it. I see the effort of doing something different, and I can smell the toasted marshmallow, but it’s a very green peppery scent. It’s like toasted marshmallow and a handful of pepper. Like when you cut open a serrano or jalapeño. I scrubbed it off and doused bountalenti to try to drown it out. Scent is my comfort, so I just couldn’t go to be smelling like this. I know, strange. The pepper still comes through. Hard, no. Though I appreciated the effort.

Horrific. If you are in any way sensitive to musk, this is an absolute nightmare. I got a free sample from Luckyscent and based on the notes, I thought it was safe to try on my skin. Good lord, no! The musk was like burning asphalt. I actually thought I was going to throw up. I washed my hand five times, didn't touch it. I tried household cleaners, toothpaste, lotions, rubbing alcohol...nothing put a dent in the strength of the smell. I finally resorted to rubbing garlic on it to kill the beast. Even now I'm still getting slight whiffs of it. Revolting.
