Ricina

I bought it 2 days ago. Short story: I ve never heard about that and Fleur narcotique. I smellt that DNA 2-3 years ago, on everybody in Turkey and arabic countries. I was in a hotel and every men from the reception smellt like that. I was in love with that smell, altough i found it very strange because of the floral vibes, but i was really ADDICTED and CRAZY to smell again. After 2 years i also smellt in Europe but still on a man. (Altough more women wear it i read) I had to wait so long to find something with that smell/dna. I tried also Fleur Narcotique, it seems to be similar, but finally i bought the Ricina because i could get it easier. Many people say that is feminine, but as a man, i really love to wear it, i feel like i am addicted to it. It s true that is not so masculine altough i have a lot of masculine fragrances, that s why i feel so special wearing it as a man. It s fresh and floral. I will wear it in summer. It gives me old money vibes, wearing it on the beach, with a nice casual shirt. Good performance. Cheers!

On me, Ricina smells something like this: 1) Orange blossom for like, two seconds. 2) PEACH. Lovely, soft, fuzzy peach. Hours of peach. Not juicy a la Peche Cardinal, but floral and calm. Also orange blossom. At this stage it does bear a slight resemblance to Kilians peachy florals, such as Flower of Immortality (well, minus the rose). 3) Orange blossom. Only a little peach. Pretty soapy. A lot of people smelled peony, but for me it faded into the floral background. For me, it is all about the orange flower, which I'm super sensitive to. On the whole, I'd say Ricina smells like human skin and peach soap and IT IS VERY NICE. This is not a negative review, yo! This is love! I particularly like how wearable it is; fruity and floral but not too sweet, fresh yet muted... Oud is not too noticable, thank *insert deity of choice*.

Ricina is a very nice fragrance that opens up with a citrusy vibe and the peach is very dominant which makes me love it even more. The flowers in the heart are so gentle and soft and they blend in an amazing way together with the oud and patchouli. I feel like this is the ultimate fragrance for summer time, on one hand it is so light and freshy and on the other hand, it stays on your skin for hours and I love it!

I have Fleur Narcotique. I love it also - both are quite different. FN is airier, fresher and smells like a sweet white wine, whereas Ricina smells more citrusy with an oud note. Both last on the skin, and are fantastique for summer. Next summer, I will have a bottle. This is more mature and sexier, is by no means a dupe. Both should be experienced.

This one starts out with fizzy citrus and peaches. As it dries down it gets warmer. It has a fair amount of woods and musk. Apparently this also has oud, but I never smell it. I do smell vanilla or amber which isn't listed. It's completely unisex. Peachy, musky woods with sweetness. Very well made scent. I love the cedar note in the drydown 😍

I love this scent profile. Not a fan of florals usually, but this one smells so classy and crisp. And addictive. It's similar to PDM Valaya and Levant by Ormonde Jayne. Really lovely as a spring/summer scent, memorable and signature worthy.

To me upon first spay it very citusy blast. To my nose, it reminds me of Greenwich village bond no. 9 without ambergris. This screams summer. Quite unisex imo, just like Greenwich village. Very fresh and happy scent.

Though I am a Quentin Bisch Stan, I like this better than Ex Nihilo Fleur Nar due to longevity of Ricinia. I tried both side by side.

Incredibly similar to Levant by Ormonde Jayne... but way better! Juicy, floral-fruity, fresh and feminine, not as musky as Levant.

The parts I love about Valaya without the synthetic note that turns my stomach. Going to get a fb. Perfect for summer.

Like reviewers below, I love the warm peach that lasts through the dry-down. It is a long lasting fragrance, very pleasant, but there is no heaviness in it, a big plus in my book! My teen daughter has been "testing" my perfumes and this one is the bottle she reaches for on most days. Not to say this is a simple teen perfume! Rather, it works for a middle aged mother and a fashionable teen daughter equally well.

Very similar to FN, but this is deeper, woodier, and muskier, with a more pronounced base. The opening is more juicy and citrusy, whereas FN is lighter and more transparent, and the opening is a bit tart. I prefer this, and the longevity is better.

I love this smell and I won’t wear it. Let me explain. On my skin, it opens with a sharp citrus. This smooths to a dry and spicy lemon. It is sensible, clean, sandy-carpet smelling. Utterly unisex (sexless?). The smell reminds me of an expensive Italian hotel early in the morning - just after the cleaning crew have finished getting everything ready for guests to waken. It is lovely, but to me and on me, smells more like a household air spray than a perfume.

Stunning fragrance with the woody, floral and musky accords at power blended perfectly for men and women. Opening notes in this one is bergamot, peach, plum and orange oil. Personally, when I sprayed it on, I got a citrusy blast with more of orange for just few minutes and it settled soon to the middle notes which are orange blossom, jasmine, peony and iris. This phase lasted for almost 2 hours on my skin where I was able to smell soft, fuzzy yet lovely peach along with floral notes. After that, dry down phase overpowered wherein there was oud, sandalwood, oakmoss and patchouli. I personally loved this phase the most that lasted for like 12 hours or so on me and gave all the warmth, comfort and enveloping kind of feel. The freshness of fruits and flowers stills remained in background a bit but mostly this was relaxing scent in the dry down phase. The silage is enormous and the longevity is eternal. I could smell this on my clothes till next wash and on me, till next shower. I love this pretty innocent and nice fragrance that is sure to grab attention. Must try!

I would call it a citrusy masterpiece as the opening is orange blossoms feel followed by the peaches that are soft, fuzzy and lovely. Also, there is plum and bergamot in top notes making this fragrance a citrusy, fruity, sweet and fresh too. Middle notes are again enveloped with orange blossom along with floral notes of jasmine, iris and peony. Lastly, the strong masculine dry-down that is all oud, oakmoss, patchouli and sandalwood. Overall, there is feel of orange that is very nice, fresh and calm. Super wearable that is not overly sweet and could be easily worn anywhere and everywhere. Longevity for this one is long lasting and the silage is superb too. I found it little more towards feminine side rather than being unisex due to dominance of floral and fruity notes in this one. However, if you love orange and associated accords, simply grab it. This is perfect for a strong, bold and confident women who wants to smell fresh and lively throughout day. Love! Love! Love!

Just got this today, and either I have Covid or I was ripped off by FragranceX. There is almost no scent to this. I thought I was spraying water at first, came back to it and got a little orange but nothing else. Apparently this is not a safe discount buy. :-(

This is straight up bergamot on me with very little peony. It's so citrusy, it has a peppery sharpness. I expected more floral elements. I agree with Epetai below. It has a household cleaner vibe.

Beautiful floral fragrance. Blind Buy Success! Yes, this is in the family for Ex Nihilo's Fleur Narcotique, but this has a bit more depth. Happy to have it in my collection!
