Sigismondo

Sigismondo opens with saffron and cinammon which give a warm spicy vibe which leads to a heart that consists of oud, rose, cypriol oil and patchouli and eventually dries down with musk, agarwood, amber and vanilla. And honestly, the musk, wood and vanilla is such a good combo. The scent of this fragrance just doesn't leave, it can stay on my clothes forever and I love it.

I remember trying it a long time ago and I couldn't forget the smell, it stayed on my clothes for days (until I washed them lol) but there was something special about it that I still can't explain but is very addictive. It's probably one of the best oud fragrances I have ever tried with the best performance ever.

Just purchased this as I am getting ready for the colder days. I am excited to wear this mesmerizing fragrance which has no less than perfect performance!

The spiciness in the opening together with the saffron bought me at first sniff.

It's a cold, cool, smooth oud, has this slightly smoky, meaty quality on the top, the saffron is lending the oud a leathery aspect. It doesn't smell like bacon, but it reminds me of bacon while at the same time it's also very clean and a bit medicinal. It's pretty great. In all his 8 years on Earth my cat has never given a damn about any perfume I have been wearing, till he smelled Sigismondo. He goes absolutely nuts about it, wants to lick it off of my arms when I am wearing it. Then in the heart I feel a lot of cypriol and it dries down to smelling somewhat like a clean white sheet of paper. I like it but I am not in love. I wear a lot of unisex and even masculine leaning fragrances, but this one here (to me at least) has a very definite strong, dominant masculine character, which doesn't fit me. I wish there would be more rose in it. The sillage is modest but it lasts a long time, it's one of those "your skin but better" fragrances.

I've recived a used one with the batch S01205, from early 2020. The smell to me is a perfect 10, its saffron oud that is combined super clean and elegant, to be honest, it's the smoothest Frag that contains dirty oud I've ever smelled. But performance is really awful with my bottle, I don't know why, it doesn't stay more then 40 minutes on my skin, and no longer then 3 hours on clothes, people here are saying they get crazy performance, and mine is like water. Sillage - straight on, right from the press, a total skin scent. I'm really disappointed with this one, cause if the prefomance was good as people said in here, that could be one, if not the best oud fragrance I've ever smelled, but there is nothing to enjoy when I can't smell it other then from the bottle itself. Could be a no brainer winter scent for sure me 😕.

I am still new to V-Canto, but I've been building my collection. This bottle is very special. It's unique, sophisticated, and complex. It doesn't hurt that the MSRP is near $ 500, and it can be found at discounters for around $ 90-100. Get a decant and check it out. Its great! Jomashop has it for $90 right now.

Sigismondo is a genuine rose oud scent that is backed by saffron and topped up well by cinnamon. I am able to sniff soapy notes too throughout that makes this more interesting. The best thing about this one is its perfect price. Really good value for money for such an amazing blend. Performance is beyond being good. This is strong, longevity is more than 12+ hours, silage is enormous and the projection is loud enough to leave a trail behind. The main accords in this beautiful fragrance are warm spicy, woody, rose, animalic, earthy, musky, oud, powdery, and cinnamon. Opening notes in this one is cinnamon and saffron, heart is most of Bulgarian rose, patchouli, Cambodian oud, and cypriol oil. Dry down is all about vanilla, oud, amber, and musk. Love this superb beauty from core of my heart. I won’t say you can’t find this composition anywhere else but trust me the way this one is blended is seriously incomparable. Love!!!

This fragrance is a gem. Killer rose oud and precious woods combo that is astounding, and that's not even the main selling point. I'm gonna tell you why this frag is the best rose oud frag I own. It's because it is not strong. You heard me right. A rose oud fragrance my girlfriend can actually stand because it doesn't fill up the damn room. It's light. It's airy. It's beautiful and sophisticated. No offense to the guys that need a room filled, but for a sophisticated rose oud that is subdued....this is your reach. Banger of scent with these notes and my girl likes it. Sign me up. She can smell a fart before it even happens like a damn bird knowing a storm is coming or something. Her nose is incredible and it's annoying. If you are in the same situation then this is for you.

Rose oud with some good saffron and cinnamon on top. There is a piercing laundry detergent note that is ruining the whole composition to me. Performance is good. However this blend has been done a thousand times and does not justify the $350/100 ml retail or $190 discounter price. This is a great if priced at the old V Canto prices of $100-$110/bottle I am not sure why the new 2020 releases are priced so high. Not warranted. You will see some YouTube reviews praising this but remember she got the bottles for free. Be careful. NOT blind buy worthy.

Performance on this is not good guys. It’s good on clothes but it is bad on skin. Skin scent totally in 3 hours.
