Notte d'Oro

Ombre Nomade wishes it was this. I would agree with the review below, this is a masterpiece. I really don't care for cherry and almond but this is so perfectly constructed that I don't even think about these notes. I have to really focus to even pick up on the individual notes with this. Paul Guerlain is quickly becoming one of the greats in perfumery and why not? He's a Guerlain after all.

The notes listed in here are wrong; the main note is actually almond! I have a sample of this perfume and all I get is almond + oud! There’s a lovely creamy nuttiness, and a hint of a powdery note from the almond. It’s sort of like a Guerlain!

A Masterpiece frag. Some cannot detect the cherry note but expect the black cherry note to be boozy and fruity in intial spray. Followed by Agarwood as smoky and oudy. Then sandalwood will give you creamy and powdery scent.

The best but biggest discovery of the year

Before looking at the notes I thought I got something nutty in this. Reminds me of chestnut... similar to Lancôme Tubereuses Castane.

Ummmm opening notes seemed very different to notes listed, I can’t detect the cherry just very peppery and quite smoky , leaning masculine.! However the dry down is gorgeous !!!! sweeter , smoother and feminine with lots of the notes blending together beautifully , smells very expensive and classy . Need to test rest of sample whole day before committing to opening bottle as I need to know if I can live with the opening, , Strength /projection 8/10

I didn't expect this...the quality of this perfume seems a notch better than the few others I have been able to sample from this line. This is a slightly fruity, sweet and smooth oud scent that reminds me a lot of Oud Satin Mood but more crystaline, more airy and wearable. This is very nice.

I'm getting almond & a similarity to YSL Tuxedo with some cherry & oud added. Seems like a good fall fragrance
