Valentino Donna Born In Roma Pink PP

Beautiful, sweet, citrusy, bright, vibrant, warm, floral, woody, powdery, boozy, creamy, feminine, sensual, seductive, sexy, charming, chic, elegant, classy, sophisticated, intoxicating, delightful, alluring, inviting, cozy, comforting On me this opens with a citrusy and vibrant burst of bright mandarin, some citrusy and floral orange blossom, and sensual bourbon vanilla. I still get the DBIR dna, but it’s sweeter, and has more vanilla. As it dries down the mandarin and orange blossom intertwine with the bourbon vanilla which grows warmer, deeper, smoother, and more prominent. That’s when the fragrance really begins to shine for me. Once it’s fully dried down I get mainly a really sensual, powdery, vanilla bourbon with a touch of orange blossom. I’m not a big fan of the OG DBIR, but I absolutely love this flanker! I do happen to be a huge fan of vanilla fragrances, and I also really enjoy orange blossom, so this sounded perfect for me! My only complaint is that this was a limited edition, and is very difficult to find, and pricey if you do find it. I have the DBIR Gold flanker, which is nice, but no where near as beautiful as this one. I also got the Ivory flanker, and it’s so beautiful! For me, Ivory and Pink are tied as my favorites of the line! This definitely feels feminine to me, and like it would easily suit women of any age. I think it works wonderfully throughout all of the seasons. I think it’s fitting for all occasions from casual, to work and/or school, to date nights, and fancier occasions. I get great performance with DBIR Pink PP. The longevity is very good, it lasts throughout the whole day on me. The projection is nice, it radiates out at least a couple feet from me. Simplicity at its finest! From the moment I laid my eyes on DBIR Pink, I immediately fell in love with it! The packaging captured my heart, and it’s truly one of the prettiest bottles I’ve ever owned! 🩷 I tried the others from the Donna Born in Roma line, but I’m not really a fan of them (aside for Green Stravaganza, though it’s only a like, and not a love). This one just WORKS for my skin chemistry, almost like magic! ✨ When Valentino describes this as a dazzling fragrance, they really meant it! While wearing this, I feel like I’m on a marshmallow cloud, with hints of orange blossom and mandarin. That bourbon vanilla is on fleek! 🔥 A compliment monster, to the point where people (especially men) approached, followed (because of the scent bubble), and even GLITCHED around me, by stuttering mid-sentence and mumbling with incoherent words, when they were speaking normally just before I showed up. 😱 I have never had such reactions before, from any other perfume! As this is the ONLY fragrance that ever caused me to get such positive and unique reactions... I couldn’t let the opportunity pass up and just HAD to get it, especially when I realized that it’s rapidly disappearing off of shelves at an almost astronomical speed. Not to mention that it’s also constantly yo-yoing online, and I didn’t wanna take my chances. 😳 Is it groundbreaking? The answer? No, it’s not, BUT— it’s done in the most gorgeous way! I know people say that it smells like Paradoxe by Prada, but I honestly don’t get the similarity. If anything, it smells A LOT like YSL’s Black Opium Le Parfum, especially when that flanker is jacked up on the vanilla and has the EXACT same notes on its scent pyramid (green mandarin, orange blossom and bourbon vanilla). Even though YSL’s Black Opium Le Parfum has a lot more notes, I can’t help but love DBIR Pink wholeheartedly, and am so glad that it’s versatile for all-year round! 🥲 Performance-wise... above par: 5 - 6 hours of wear. In my opinion, DBIR Pink is pretty much Oriana’s baby sister (along with a similar profile to one of my long lost favorites, Dream Angels Forever by Victoria’s Secret), which is beautiful! 🥰🥰🥰 If you are looking for a more affordable alternative to Oriana, I highly recommend DBIR Pink~! 💖 Packaging: 11/10 Scent: 14/10 Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 8/10

Picked up a well discounted new bottle of this. It was an offer too good to refuse and I am here to say I have absolutely no regrets. This one is stunning not just aesthetically but the juice is fb-worthy for sure. I agree with the comments that recognise similarity to Armani Fiore & LDBS in the opening. I even catch glimmers of Prada Paradoxe. But this does have the unmistakable blood of Val BIR running through its veins and the bourbon vanilla really does its big one here. The scent develops smoothly through each stage, meshing the sweet and sharp notes together harmoniously. This perfume sings on my skin with moderate throw and loud longevity for about 6 hrs on me, before fading to a sweet skin scent. I expect that will improve over time & maturation. I am so glad I gave this one a try as it is definitely one of the better ones in the Valentino collection. I can see why she is a favourite for many. I am not even a sucker for sweet, vanilla forward scents but Rendevous/Pink PP is an exception for me and it’s not sweet in that cloying, over syrupy fashion either. To my nose it’s like the mid to dry-down of og BIR with that extra kick of orange blossom & vanilla on a bed of palmers coco butter. Sweet, creamy but still airy and never juvenile. It’s a crowd pleaser no doubt. This for me takes 2nd place after og BIR, followed closely by Coral Fantasy. It could be a skin chemistry thing but I haven’t had any issues with lasting power or silage. It’s not a stink bomb but it projects & lasts well enough on my skin, which is a bonus. Because ngl I was worried after seeing comments about it being weak & a fast fader. I tested Alien Extraintense on the same day I wore this and ironically Rendezvous far outlasted that one. Though Extraintense is perhaps misleadingly named as it’s a gentler floral version of the og. I may have to get another bottle of this limited edition, it’s that good 🌸🌺🌸 @kdwelz my bottle has a pink plastic cap, definitely not metal

Gorgeous, Sweet, warm, fresh, floral, bright, citrusy, creamy, feminine, flirty, alluring, sensual, cozy, and elegant. Wow, I’m really loving this incredible fragrance! This opens sweet, bright, and citrusy with the Calabrian mandarin and a soft background of the OG DBIR scent. The fragrance really starts to shine as it dries down. It becomes sweeter, warmer, creamier, and more cozy with a sweet and somewhat powdery marshmallow scent, the sweetly floral orange blossom, and the warm and cozy bourbon vanilla. It’s absolutely beautiful, such a fantastic fragrance! I’m honestly not the biggest fan of the OG DBIR, or the other flankers I’ve tried of it (Coral Fantasy and Yellow Dream). I don’t dislike them, but I wouldn’t buy them for myself. However, I’ve heard so many great things about this version though that I just couldn’t resist getting it. Plus, the notes looked really appealing to me. It definitely doesn’t disappoint... I’m so glad to have it as part of my collection! I consider it a safe blind buy, especially if you like Orange blossom and vanilla. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser. I think this can easily be worn in any season and for any occasion. This is absolutely a signature worthy fragrance! I get excellent performance with DBIR Pink PP. The longevity is great... it lasts the entire day on me and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection is good too, it radiates out at least a few feet from me. I do consider it to be a good value too because I only need a few sprays for this effect, so my bottle will last me for quite a while. The most exciting thing about this fragrance release for me was that gorgeous pink bottle. I kind of assumed it would smelled like the previous versions of Donna Born In Roma which were fine but not worth the price for me. Bought this version for the bottle like stated in a previous comment when I saw the initial release article a couple of weeks ago. It is supposed to be a limited edition release and I really wanted the bottle! And the bottle is not even opaque pink like shown in pictures, so I am a bit annoyed with this kind of false advertising. I wanted that bottle and I have paid a high price for that, not for whatever they actually released, a pink clear glass bottle! Disappointing considering that this is a release from Valentino, not Juicy Couture! Apologies to Juicy Couture fans... Second the juice itself is nothing special. I didn’t even expected that much in the first place so at least with that I am not too disappointed. It is my first fragrance from Valentino and probably the last if they continue to release only mediocre, soft and simple fragrances for a very high price! Like this one... This edition, Born in Roma Pink PP, is a one-dimensional powdery, sweet vanilla with orange blossom. Not getting the bergamot listed as a top note. On me frankly it’s just sweet vanilla and orange blossom from the first seconds. A very common, simple and a quite boring combination in today’s fragrance market. On the bright side, while it doesn’t project much, seems to be quite long lasting, I can smell it on my skin even after a shower. Honestly, I don’t think it is worth the full retail price! It does smell nice, but basic, and I will use it as an everyday, errands, etc ... kind of (overpriced) scent! Maybe it will grow on me in time..
