Vendetta Donna (2026)

I was so excited to hear Valentino was releasing a new fragrance and was lucky to smell it early. It smells tremendously to me like Prada Paradoxe original, with a sprinkle of Prada Paradoxe Virtual Flower. I own and like both of those, but I was a bit let down that Vendetta didn’t smell like something new or fresh. The tuberose is well done and comes out more as it dries down. It probably smells like one of the Armani My Ways as well, but I’m not super familiar with that line. I suspect this will sell well, and I actually do like it, but that’s because I really like Paradoxe OG. It does have nice, moderate projection, and it’s been an hour and I can still easily smell it on my hand. But if you’re hoping for something innovative, this isn’t it. The juice stains as others have said, so beware!

They say this perfume was already a part of the house but they changed the formula and the bottle. I was surprised that I found it in the duty free during my last trip. All in all, the bottle for a Valentino perfume is quite simple, as well as the formula. Dominique Ropion is an expert when it comes to white florals and here the star is tuberose. It's that strong that it almost covers the other notes and I wish I could detect blood orange as is one of my favorite notes (when it comes to chypres). The juice can easily stain lighter clothes so be careful. Tuberose is a typical note and a perfume category itself, that means there's no innovation or any kind of a 'wow' effect. The most intriguing tuberose based I ever smelled (and of course it's already discontinued) is So Scandal! by JPG. Milky-rich tuberose-a touch of raspberry that makes it unique. In our case, the only good thing I can mention for Vendetta is that it's tuberose isn't bubblegum-y, but quite creamy and linear. If you already have perfumes like Tubereuse Nue from TF (yeah, will be discontinued very soon), Love Tuberose from Amouage, Tuberoza from Nishane you will easily pass this release without any guilt. Can't find the logic of this line or the newer trend with the body mists of the house after some masterpieces from Born in Roma, but I guess the house needed a tuberose without the niche price.

I smelled it today, very faint smell of white flowers and a little vanilla, they missed the opportunity on this one. Someone said it smelled a little like Amarige on me but Amarige is a masterpiece, this one is just common.

This one was a surprise. Very elegant oriental floral with a bit of a vintage vibe. Be careful though because it stains.

Sounds a bit like L'interdit Rouge from Givenchy.
