Orange-BLOSSOM & TONKA. Opens with a clean citrus burst of multi-faceted bergamot with ginger touches, that deepens into an orange-blossom heart that's powdery, sweet & creamy, all resting on a musky vanilla-wood base with oakmoss touches. Overall, this reads as a fluffy sweet orange blossom scent, on a tonka-vanilla base. It may not be innovative, but this is a smooth blend that, in my opinion, isn't too sharp, and is sweet enough without being cloying, with well above average performance. Contrast to Voce Viva Intensa Valentino: I'm comparing samples of these 2 side by side and these are different, but there are similarities and they have the same DNA. VVI has a slightly fruitier opening, and goes sweeter in the drydown similar to scents like I Want Choo Jimmy Choo, while VV (OG) has a prominent tonka in the base leaning to scents like Good Girl Carolina Herrera. Both have excellent performance. Contrast to Prada Paradoxe Prada: These are different, but the openings are similar. PP leans more clean and isn't quite as sweet as VV and has a forward forward neroli. The drydowns are different, where VV has a prominent tonka note, more similar to scents like Good Girl Carolina Herrera. Both have excellent performance. Contrast to L'Interdit Givenchy EDP: These have been compared but I find them very different, however there are some similarities in the openings. L'Interdit is more about tuberose, while VV has a forward tonka. Both have excellent performance. Contrast to Good Girl Carolina Herrera: These are different, especially the openings, where GG is fruity & creamy while VV is powdery & citrus/orange-blossom. As they dry down, however, they become more similar with tonka in the base. Contrast to Libre Yves Saint Laurent: These are different, but the openings are similar, although Libre is more lemon-citrus and has a forward lavender note, and the drydowns are different. Both have excellent performance. Overall: Well above average performance and a beautiful, crowd-pleasing scent profile. This is the perfect scent to wear for a feeling of safety. For what it is, it's a love for me. Enjoy!

I agree with most other reviewers in that this smells really lovely but very much typical of the designer fragrance fads of the current day (tart, powdered orange blossoms with bitter vanilla bean and resinous woods), lately the Coco Mademoiselle citrus floral patchoulis became citrus floral feminine fougères instead, and I'm sure soon enough the trend will be replaced by something else... I detect a coffee note but maybe it's not there and this is just reminding me stylistically of Black Opium and Replica Coffee Break... genuinely really pretty but lacks individuality, and because it's so contemporary, inoffensive and easy to like I am tempted to pick this up but deep in my heart I know I've smelled this dozens of times before and maybe it's wise to hold out until it inevitably drops in price As for the asinine rant below about the "idiots" who like "contemporary boring" fragrances like this and Libre, La Vie Est Belle etc... we have more exponentially options with fragrance now than ever before... the consumer now has 100x more options than in the '80s as the average '80s consumer had no idea what a niche was and just ordered whatever was available at the local mall, usually whatever was inexpensive and trendy at the time and not just the Shalimars or Obsessions you can retroactively see as the masterpieces. The market today has more eclectic taste, more unusual options available to them PLUS many of the older fragrances of the past are easier to sample and don't cost an arm and a leg to try. If you think modern taste is more 'boring' nowadays, you are just getting yourself angry about a fake era you invented that didn't exist... this is the most lavishly abundant and creative era to live as a fragrance lover in human history. The ignorant always think the past generations had higher quality art because they don't understand the more forgettable art has been forgotten to time.

I wanted to review this perfume for those ACTUALLY SEEKING A REVIEW on it. I too get tired of people not even reviewing and just bashing fragrances with their fake decant perfume samples! The same ones that go over to perfume counters spraying sample papers than coming on here to give their weak two sentences review. Anyways.. This is a safe perfume. For those who seek adventure but NOT a wild one. For the girls that love to go to the fair and theme parks just to dress up, win teddy bears and for the food, duh! But NOT FOR THE RIDES. The kind you could apply on an empty stomach, IYKYK. This is a clean canvas type of perfume, it doesn't last that long but you can extend the stay with clean damp skin. It starts off as a really fresh floral, with strong notes of vanilla and orange like a Flintstones Push Up! That settle into a creamy orange sherbet with delicate tonka in the background. Which later fades into a delicious barely there melted chocolate. It smells really PRETTY. I will just leave it at that. I consider myself to have great body chemistry so I would like to add that when I try on a new perfume I only do ONE spray on my wrist, which should be enough. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the longevity. It's actually quite PERFECT because you can use it as a "I will just be there for a while" kind of perfume. Brunch, church, dinner, etc. Then again you can choose the potency of it, you can spray more on certain areas of your body or even layer it with coconut. I tried that combo at night, chefs kiss. It smells great during the day (sweet floral, spicy) but fades into your skin better at night. ( sweet floral milky, woody) There you have it. My honest review. BISOUS

Granted, I’m fairly new to perfume, especially compared to a lot of commenters on this site, however, I don’t understand why this gets so many negative reviews. If you don’t enjoy a scent, you don’t enjoy it, but to rate it low because “it lacks imagination” or “is generic smelling” is strange and quite silly to me. This was one of the first fragrances I wanted to try when I began my journey, and I fell in love. It did remind me of Armani Si, which I didn’t like the first time I tried, but better. I tried this at the end of winter/beginning of spring and smelled no citrus. However, now that it’s hot and humid, I can clearly smell citrus for about the first 15 minutes. Others have described this better than I could; it’s sweet and somewhat spicy, warm and fluffy, elegant and classy. I wouldn’t think of this as “fresh”, but in the beginning I can see how others may. VV is one of my top 5 favorites even after testing out close to 100 fragrances since I first tried it. Being the rebel I am, I’m almost reluctant to get into niche fragrances since the impression I get from perfume enthusiasts is “niche is superior”. Personally, I really don’t care if a perfume is popular and my choice isn’t “unique”. I like what I like and as long as I’m not choking people out with my fragrance, I don’t care about their opinion. And the few niche fragrances I have tried through sampling don’t deserve the heftier price tag compared to designer fragrances due to their lack of performance. Point is, this is a lovely perfume that stands out in my opinion. It could work for any occasion/season and is worth giving a fair try. Enjoy!

When I first sprayed on Voce Viva, it immediately reminded me of the smell that is ubiquitous to department store beauty sections. It also smelled a bit too overwhelming and "up front" at first. My mom remarked that it smelled like me, but I couldn't see how that could be. She remarked that it smelled very feminine, but it wasn't cloyingly sweet, and that it had a mysterious note to it. I decided to allow Voce Viva to marinate on my skin over the next few hours, and a remarkable thing happened! The scent acclimated itself to my personal body chemistry! I could now detect what my mom was able to smell after it was initially sprayed. The scent had now transformed into this beautiful, marshmallow-y floral. It is so interesting how it went from completely generic smelling at the initial spray, to complimenting me personally. My mom and I decided to re-name the fragrance 'Film Noir' because of it's mysterious, swaying aspect. It evokes a woman who is very feminine, yet self-reliant. She's street smart, and figures things out for herself. If at first you don't particularly enjoy this sent, I would suggest to allow it to sit on your skin for the next couple of hours (if you can), and see if it transforms and adapts to your personal body chemistry. Did you end up loving the scent?

This is one of the few full-size bottles I own, I often forget about it in favour of something else. But when I do spray on Voce Viva, I’m reminded of why I own it. The opening scent is so addictive to me, it’s sharp and modern and juicy at once. The dry down is nice, but I love this perfume most for the first 2-3 hours of wear. I’m no expert, but for me this fragrance is both sexy and professional. I spray this on when I want to feel confident and feminine, without playing dress up or being overly frilly or soft. It is the fragrance I wear for a presentation or exam at school. (To be fair, not sure if ‘professional’ is the right word. But this is coming from someone who used to wear Viva La Juicy daily). It does remind me of Prada Paradoxe, my signature at the moment, but they are different. Paradoxe is louder and juicier. Paradoxe is less ‘clean’ but also feels sweet and alive at every stage of the dry-down. This longevity and girlier character are why I prefer Paradoxe more consistently. But Voce Viva has a sexy sophistication that can’t be matched by Paradoxe. I do believe Valentino fragrances are very well crafted and this is no exception.

This is right on the edge of “perfume-y” for me. Any more and it would be too much. But enough that I did not like it at all in the store when we first encountered each other. Weeks later I found myself with a sample and I gave it a chance to marinate on my skin. Turns out it really suits! (Thanks for the tip Kratos07!) For my current tastes, it’s a date night perfume. If you’re sensitive to jasmine and tuberose and/or if you don’t usually like a pronounced citrus or ginger note, but also want the sweetness lifted, try this! Edit: just want to comment on the comparisons to Donna Born in Roma & Libre. I’ve tested all three and while I get the comparisons vibe-wise to VV, they both have black currant which pulls ammonia on my skin, not terribly, but enough that I’m glad to have VV instead. Edit 2: I’m enjoying layering this with my essential oil mixes. It takes scents that are really just made for personal relaxation purposes and elevates them to something special.

I blind bought a GIFT SET (what was I thinking? I dont know) of this and I gotta say, I’m glad my blind buying skills are mostly on point, because I really like this. It’s a very soft, slightly citrusy opening, but it almost smells like white peach in a way... think, a fuzzy navel vibe almost. Then quickly the white florals come shimmering through, grounded by the slight vanilla sweetness. I like this a lot. People are comparing it to Paradoxe, and while I agree they have a similar vibe, I dont think they smell the same nor would having both be redundant. This is really nice, kind of perfume-y, but not in a bad way. As long as you use a light hand, I don’t see how this could ever be overpowering. This is honestly quite lovely. I can’t wait until it warms up so I can use this more often. Edit: wearing this now and I’m OBSESSED, the dry down is even better than the opening. I adore this. It makes me want to buy the intense version if they aren’t too similar!

I don't get the bad rating. This is beautiful and simple, As I previously read it is definetely the perfect All Seasons, Anytime, Anywhere perfume. It could perfectly be a signature scent. Gourmandish-sweet white floral / vanilla that gives me the vibe of white chocolate cream in an uber subtle way, the opening is a shrill citrusy but one more of a tangerine peel and gives it sort of a freshness and playfulness. This is really lovely and versatile the one you can put on when you aren't in a certain mood for something in particular but just want to smell good. Sillage is right in between where it doesn't bother anyone around but can still take whiffs of it when you move or walk. Longevity is awsome like every other Valentino frags is. In terms of practisity and confidence is truly an every day gem!

In the midst of the Born In Roma hype that has women across the globe in a chokehold, Voce Viva is a criminally underrated scent from Valentino. Those who know, appreciate its greatness - but it almost feels like it slipped under the radar because it simply isn't talked about enough! Such a beautiful scent - I LOVE orange blossom in perfumes, and this does the job so well. I often like to pair this with Prada Paradoxe because they go so well together - and the combined sillage is amazing and always guarantees me a few compliments at least. The two perfumes feel like cousins - where Prada provides an outgoing, sexy and playful vibe whilst Voce Viva adopts a more demure, elegant and girly attitude. As a whole, Voce Viva is really versatile and inoffensive in its wear.

This is THE fragrance I've been trying to find for months now. A fragrance that smells professional yet playful, feminine but not juvenile, bold without being offensive. This perfume has 'signature scent' written all over it for me personally. It's so sophisticated. Didn't care much for it at first spray, with the orange and ginger taking center stage. But just wait...let it transform. After dry down, you are left with a luxurious, "expensive" fragrance that screams "I'm a confident, well put together woman ready to dominate the board room." The orange blossom and sandalwood really stand out to me, creating a sweet and slightly smoky scent. This is perfect for women, not girls. Not young women either. It's got power!

I got a 15ml and love the bottle. I get the bergamot and blossom opening. The middle gardenia and base notes stick around for the initial dry down, with the moss and sandalwood, slight vanilla. I got a sample of this in a Sephora fall testers kit with a coupon for a travel size. This was by far the most popular one and they didn't have the travel size in stock. Everyone was mad in the comments! My son loved this one and wanted it sprayed on his pillow. It reminds me of my mom's taste, warm, expensive, a little sweet, and projecting. Perfect for fall and winter due to the warmth. I'm pretty picky and I like it. I tend to lean fresh floral, so this is a nice cold weather option for me.

I love this! To be fair, I can see how some may not find it all that exciting, but that doesn’t stop me from greatly enjoying this fragrance. It does remind me a bit of Lady Million which I absolutely love, so it’s a win for me! It’s a bit less soapy though, and more orange blossom. As it dries, it develops into a more sophisticated and warm fragrance. It does have that bright citrus coming through which makes it perfect for spring and summer! I see someone below mentioned they find it similar to Modern Muse Le Rouge. I also adore that fragrance!! So, this is definitely my kind of fragrance! I love this scent profile so I’m absolutely thrilled to have this in my collection!

On skin, this totally transforms. My fiancé has been wearing a sample of this for a while now, I think I’ll get her a bottle for our anniversary. I was a little surprised to see so many people on here down voting this fragrance, as I love this fragrance on my fiancé. After I smelt this in the air the other day I asked her which fragrance this was, when I smelt it from the atomiser it was nice but unremarkable. It’s hard to believe that it was the same fragrance that is so wonderful on her skin. On her skin it smells like velvety Fanta, but a smoother craft-version with more depth. Looking forward to this joining her weekly rotation!

First off— I am so over hearing ppl rave about “niche” perfumes 🙄. Seriously- overpriced garbage... most smell rank and are trying too hard to be something different but end up being nothing at all but a waste of money and gimmick to take money off of those that have too much money and nowhere to spend it. Designer perfumes are not great either— get over yourselves— ifra has ruined the perfume industry- it’s all garbage now. If you’re really into fragrances you won’t turn your nose up at a fragrance cuz it’s not niche or designer- you’ll go by blend the blend, development, longevity, quality etc... not the name or the price 🏷️.

I absolutely adore this perfume! Its delightful blend of citrus and floral notes is simply divine. I can't understand why some label it as "basic" because to me, it exudes a captivatingly sexy and elegant aura. Whenever I spritz it on, I feel incredibly put-together. The compliments I receive from people who catch its scent from afar only reaffirm its allure. It's my trusted choice for special occasions, though it could easily be an everyday staple if I didn't prefer something lighter for daily wear. Rest assured, this fragrance will forever hold a cherished place in my collection!

This perfume reminds me of Serena Van Der Woodsen from Gossip Girl. It's warm like sunshine and sparkly like champagne. It is also fresh, sweet and girly but the gardenia keeps it from being juvenile. In the dry down it has something smoky to it that is hard to explain. It's nothing crazy, however the more I have worn it the less generic it smells to me. It is like Libre in that sense. First I thought it was super basic but after wearing it I realized while it is crowd pleasing nothing quite smells like Libre. Voce Viva is the same. It is also great for layering.

By the way- Voce Viva is magical! It’s the best blend in this category, imo. This is perfection in this cold weather! It’s like a blend of Prada Paradox, Libre, Wanted Girl and jpg scandal- all toned down to be this beauty— no harsh notes or weird dry downs... Voce Viva is done very well. And to think I danced around buying this for so long thinking it would be generic— well it’s actually one of the fragrances I can and will actually wear til it’s all gone. Valentino fragrances not only smell great but they’re blended so well and develop beautifully.

Sweet, easy to wear fragrance. One of my go-to's when I'm not in the mood to wear anything in particular. It's mostly citrus and white florals throughout the wear time with very little vanilla. Actually, I can't pick up most of the base notes. The sillage is not obnoxious and wear time is about 6 to 8 hours on my skin. I feel that this is appropriate for any occasion and safe enough to wear in the workplace. While it is similar to prada paradoxe, I enjoy this more. DOES NOT SMELL ANYTHING LIKE LIBRE, can't believe that's even listed lol.

I Love this perfume! It is so pleasant. It’s citrusy fresh floral and sweet. It transforms on your skin throughout the day. I love a perfume that does that because it changes like your mood. Today I smelled more of the gardenia than I did yesterday and the warm vanilla dry down of this is so addictive. It’s perfect for everyday and work. All seasons too. I feel like I have been looking for this scent forever and finally found it. BTW, Dossier makes a dupe of this for $30 that is identical.

I agree with most of the reviews here. It's safe, yes, and has a lot in common with other popular fragrances right now. But I find it pretty, easy to wear and quite addictive. I love smelling it on me and it lasts all day. It feels bright, happy and feminine. I've been wearing it in the day for Spring but I will probably keep it as a night fragrance when the temps go up. I think it will layer nicely over light, summery edt's.

Effervescent, clean, daytime, summer, crowdpleasing, easy reach. Citrus, white flowers (the good kind), ginger. Not as sweet as Born in Roma line, but also not as intoxicating and WOW. I love Voce Viva nonetheless. It's very perfumey and designer, kind of generic, but sometimes I like that. Reminiscent of Jimmy Choo Illicit. Crazy sillage and longevity. I've gotten compliments at a bus stop outdoors.

This is the perfect everywhere, anytime fragrance. I personally love warm florals and although there isn’t anything particularly unique about this one, i think it has the perfect blend of notes. It lasts a while, especially when paired with the matching lotion, and i just love the smell. It’s starts fairly light and citrus but then mellows into a warm musky vanilla with a hint of floral.

I do not like any of the Valentino scents, but this one has me in a chokehold. It's very beautiful and reminds me of a fresher, lighter Modern Muse Le Rouge from EL which was sadly discontinued. I loved that fragrance, but am happy I found something close to it. The florals are not overwhelming and the citrus gives it such a nice, clean feminine vibe.

Crisp, sophisticated, vivacious- this is a bold floral that has some projection. I love it on a spring day when it truly shines. I don't notice any of the heavier base notes like vanilla or tonka, they are just there to add some weight. Here, the bright florals come through. I already finished a travel sized spray, so I will be repurchasing soon.

I originally overlooked this one when I got it in a sample set from Sephora months ago, but I came back to the sample the other week and wore it out one night and fell in LOVE, and had to get the travel size. Starts out very citrusy and bright and dries down to be more powdery and vanilla. Like others have said, def signature scent worthy.

sweet, but not in a syrupy way. The vanilla in this doesn’t overpower the rest of the scent for me, which I love, since I often find myself hating anything with an overpowering vanilla. Fruity and floral, without being too warm. my new go-to after the loves of my life, Stella EDP & EDT were discontinued.

This is a very nice perfume. I loved it at first sniff. The orange blossom, ginger and vanilla are what stand out to my nose. It's not overwhelming complex but it's well blended in my opinion. It's the perfect amount of sweet and perfumey. I will definitely be adding this to my collection.

Fragrantica, can you please take down the pros and cons segments on these pages? I'm really tired of seeing the same complaints about these fragrances. It just annoys me. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful scent. Very sweet (but not too sweet) and citrusy and feminine. Love it.

I adore Voce Viva. Opens with bright citrus and ginger, orange blossom and gardenia quickly come in, followed by vanilla, tonka and amber. It's not too heavy, not too light, awesome projection and lasts forever. One of my go-to fragrances that suits just about any occasion.

THIS is my scent!! I’ve been struggling to find a perfume that I really like and can wear all the time. I’ve had my eye on this one at Sephora for a while now, but today I finally decided to buy it and I truly love it! It’s definitely my favorite scent at the moment!

this is my signature perfume for summer nights. not something so unique but if you wear it with a floral body lotion, , it'll smell so sexy on your skin. personally, i don't like the opening. however, after one hour it turns out a vanilla musky warm scent.

I love this one. This is a refreshing sweet citrus vanilla smell. I also have the intensa versión and prefer this original version. There’s a note in the intensa that I don’t care for as much and I feel like that one is less sweet or something.

My favorite perfume in the whole world! This is just so beautifu and also perfect for a signature scent. 100% reccomend this perfume, especially if you love the note of mandarin orange with the note of vanilla like I do. <3

I feel like this is so elegant and it gives me this clean girl vibes, people always compliment me when using this, I feel like this is my favorite of all times. It’s a very sweet but fresh smell for me, just what I love.

It is citrus and fresh fragrance with a pinch of sweetness to it. I found it very professional and it could be a signature scent. Clean girl vibes with personality. I love to wear it. On my skin it lasts 5 to 6 hours.

People hate / disregard good perfumes here .. sorry fragrantica . This is no doubt generic type but so beautifully blended . Not in your face, doesn't choke you, quality is wow !! Definetly buying for my better half.

reminds me of a sweeter black opium basically. a bit mature , but can be pulled off if you were younger. if you want a sweeter version of black opium i say get this. definitely more work / casual time appropriate

This to me has a very similar smell, to Donna Born in Roma Green Stravaganza but is a little warmer and a bit laundry detergent smelling in the best way. It's my date night/weekend scent.

I am a sucker for this DNA. Slightly sweet, slightly tangy, warm and deep on the dry down. I have other scents that smell like it, but it’s such an easy, pretty, effervescent wear.

When I originally received this as a gift, I hated the scent so much. It was the most headache inducing perfume I had smelled. The orange blossom along with the sandalwood just over powered anything else. It also reminded me of an old lady and it was not something I was happy about since I was in my early 20s when I received it. However, I did not have the heart to let the person know who gifted it to me that it was not my taste. I decided to let the perfume sit and would use it for work events here and there. A bit more time passed and I had totally forgotten about it, as it was pushed to the back of my perfume collection. One day while cleaning and seeing it in the back, I realized I had barely made a dent in the bottle and wondered what about it originally I hated. I sprayed it on myself and funnily enough fell in love with it then. The orange blossom wasn’t screaming at me anymore and instead what I smelled was such a pleasant and elegant floral perfume with some crisp citrus and just the right amount of gardenia. It is something I still use to this day, as not many sprays are needed of this perfume. The projection on it is very strong in my opinion. I believe this change came from the fact that I began training/ introducing my nose to different scents as my collection began to grow and was able to see this scent for what it actually was. I also think it might be because I left it to “sit” as ive heard some perfumes perform better after time passes. Regardless, I believe it’s a perfect gardenia perfume but probably best recommended to trained noses.

Beautiful, citrusy, bright, fresh, vibrant, happy, cheerful, uplifting, sparkling, a bit playful, sweet, white floral, feminine, sensual, warm, creamy, woody, powdery, musky, softly warm spicy, slightly earthy, cozy On me this opens very bright, fresh, and citrusy with mandarin orange and bergamot, with a bit of a warm spicy scent from the ginger, and the delicate floral sweetness of orange blossom and gardenia. As it starts drying down the creamy and sensual vanilla and warm tonka bean really start to appear, and for me this is when the scent really shines. Further into the dry down the citrusy notes blend more into the overall scent, while the vanilla and tonka take center stage with a touch of the white florals. Finally, the softly woody scent of the sandalwood, the powdery musk, and earthy scent of oak moss make their subtle appearance at the base gently rounding out the fragrance. I feel like this is a good choice for women of any age for an everyday, or even signature kind of fragrance. It’s feminine, classy, and sophisticated... It’s casual, but dressed up too. Very pleasant, well balanced, and inoffensive, so it’s a safe choice for at work/the office, but nice enough for a date night too. I think this works well year round, and is an easy reach. I get great performance with Voce Viva. The longevity is really good, it lasts throughout the majority of the day on me. The projection is decent, it radiates out at least an arm’s length from me.

Voce Viva is slightly sweet and floral with some juicy orange in there as well. The orange, orange blossom and vanilla are the key notes I get. Admittedly I am a big orange blossom fan and I do enjoy a little sweetness now and then, so this DNA is up my alley. The citruses in here aren't crisp, sour or stark, but juicy, bright and slightly sweet - like a ripe orange. Then there's the creamy, subtly warm white florals of orange blossom and gardenia. On top of that, there's a light sweetness that encompasses the fragrance without weighing it down. This is good for warm weather, but due to the sweetness I think it would work best in fall and spring, but summer nights would work too, and you can certainly pull this off on a more mild summer day. Performance is average, about par for the course for designer scents. Voce Viva is feminine, pretty and a little addicting. It's versatile enough as well.

C’est un basique sexy mais quand même très frais et simple, donc pas essentiellement réservé à la nuit ou aux soirées comme le Crystal noir que je trouve générique aussi mais qui lui est vraiment NUIT et séduction. C’est le genre de parfum ou tout le monde trouvera à coup sûr que tu sens bon. Il est très très similaire par contre au born in Roma, donc pas forcément utile d’acheter les deux. A la différence que celui la est plus mature, le born in Roma est beaucoup plus girly et flirty. Celui là est assez doux, élégant, fleuri, et dégage quelque chose de sensuellement chaleureux. Il me fait penser aux femmes belles en vacances, sexy et plantureuse, mais à la fois très chaleureuse, lumineuse et même rassurante et agréable à avoir à ses côtés. Il a la même énergie.
