I was fortunate enough to get a free sample of this wonderful concoction, actually, two free 2ml samples to be precise and it was chosen as my scent of the day. It is a beautiful fragrance. Very sweet. Very seductive. Very sensual. Very sexy. Very, very expensive. Although it is beautifully blended with above average performance, it is way overpriced. One of the sales people who often helps me when I go to the boutique that I obtained the samples said to me that it is similar to Angel's Share by Kilian but better. I would agree that it is a bit similar, though not that close and definitely not better. From the scent, to the presentation and price tag to the performance, Angel's Share beats this easily, however this is truly a beautiful scent. It's just not worth the price tag. Scent : 9/10 Longevity : 10/10 Projection : 9/10 Sillage : 9/10 Overall : Overpriced but still magnificent Final Thoughts ... I'm glad I have 4ml total of this juice and will be able to give it many wearings for free but if the price wasn't so high, it would definitely be full bottle worthy for me because I loved wearing it. I would not pay the $800 CAD price tag to own it, though. I don't think it's quite as good as Angel's Share, so I wouldn't pay more for this than I did for my bottle of Angel's Share. If you love boozy, sweet gourmands, chances are you'll love this too, which I do, absolutely, but I just won't pay the extravagant price for it.

Smooth and spicy rum, sweet and lactonic Chantilly cream, and soft and slightly woody vanilla. Mica D’Oro is seductive, addictive and delectable, and one of my favorite vanilla perfumes. It is a well-blended and high-quality fragrance. The bottle is unique and exquisite with the glass mask and the leather cap, while the coffret feels luxurious and velvety. The high price point is a negative, but based on pure scent alone, Mica D’Oro is a winner.

spicy oud-esque opening that quickly melts into a burnt vanilla cream. so sexy and edible, totally smells like an expensive hotel lobby. it’s very classic and i think it works for both night and day, would even work for all the seasons though maybe not spring. someone buy me a full size right now!

Hot buttered rum whipped into fluffy cream. Delicious gourmand, best suited for autumn and winter. Arms' length projection, but my little sample is here 5 hours later. I'd consider a full size (discounted) for this.

Rum, vanilla, and whipped cream... I thought it would be very sweet boozy vanilla, but it starts off very VERY spicy! If you love spiced rum with a hint of vanilla, this one is a must try:)

I was very interested in trying this, found a sample on eBay. Received today and immediately ripped open my package and tried it on. This is not original, I do not smell rum at all. The vanilla is present and there are notes of clove and nutmeg to my nose which are not listed. Dry down comes quick, nice but done before. I wouldn’t waste the money for a full bottle and quite frankly insulted at the price point. Save your money as it is extremely similar to Vanille De Zanzibar Boucheron at a much lower price.

This is a very good fragrance that has some unique blending of notes. Whipped cream, vanilla and rum are rarely ever in the same fragrance so even though it has just 3 notes, it works. My major issue is that it is moderate to intimate silage and only lasts for 2 hours on my skin. If not for those things it would be a strong love. It leans male, more of a fall/winter scent that should be worn in the evening.

Definitely a gourmand fragrance and it does have a creamy weight to it. While I do think that it’s over priced I like and I am satisfied with the scent.

White Pepper + Butter Rum + Shaving Cream (sales manual says 'Chantilly Cream') + Spiced Cinnamon Rum + Vanilla Ice-cream + faintest touch of Floral + acidic Cherry + Almond + Saffron + Powder This dna is so good! :S Same scent genre as Kilian 'Angels Share' and MFK 'Grand Soir', but leans just slightly more feminine than those two. This is a winner for the 'come hither me' sexy seductive dna genre. Even on my skin i feel slightly intoxicated by it. Powder comes into the Mid Drydown, and the spice stays. My only issue with this fragrance is very light projection and doesn't last long. :( ‘Grand Soir' is by far the best out of the 3 frags mentioned. This is a very delicious addicting gourmand dna! So more of a bedroom/close encounters perfume. Skin eats this up. Which brings me to the ridiculous price of $600 + tax.... I was told that the Italian island that produces glassware is the inspiration of the bottle design, showcasing an African mask from a infamous Venice Casino which i really loved. 3.5/5 Woofs

I don't think this is a gourmand style. It doesn't have any strong presence of ethyl maltol(sticky, sugary, or much of burnt), therefore it is not sweet, but powdery vanilla and dried rum and cream scent, literally cream's scent, and somewhat hazelnut nuance is there—quite "woody" (oak) scent.

My only gripe with this fragrance is that they used whipped cream instead of just plain vanilla. Everything else is pitch perfect. Amazing woody accord, something slightly spicy. But milky notes are off putting when smelled continuously.

realistic rum note and buttery whipped cream. settles with a synthetic milky vanilla and in the drydown it becomes more of a rafaello cream type of sent. although pleasant, i find it to be too artificial especially for the price asked.

anyone else get jasmine and other florals from this? on my skin NOT AT ALL what u'd imagine based on the notes
