Macaroon Rose

This is a beautiful fragrance. I tend to steer clear of rose scented perfumes due to allergies and migraines. However, I received a sample of this and tried it. I loved it. Upon first spray, I get a strong jasmine and rose but it quickly (very quickly) fades down to a sweet soft rose scent. It is not sickly sweet but just enough to tone down the rose. I purchased a bulk of samplers from ebay and added this into my spring rotation. My breakdown of the scent on me: First Spray: Jasmine and Rose and the slightest scent of musk and fruit Dry down: sweet vanilla, soft rose, and macaroon Doesn't over project but doesn't sit too close to the skin either. I find it stays nicely for around 6 hours. I office share with a male co-worker and this morning he mentioned smelling a soft sweet rose from his desk. I asked if he found it offensive and he said no. He said it reminds him of his wife's garden. Said it was a nice office scent. I recommend this as a summer, spring, office scent. I applied to each elbow bend and behind each ear. My hubby loves it and said it smells like vanilla and roses.

I expected rose and macaroons, since that's what it was called. I got no macaroons (the coconut cookies), nor macarons (the French pastries). However, this is a sugary rosewater scent that is very fizzy. Is that a hint of woodsy ambroxan I'm detecting? It's similar to Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose and Roses De Chloe, but not as fruity. It has moderate to almost heavy projection and great longevity for an EDT. This is a real gem for the cheap price it's going for right now. I'm pretty sure this is discontinued now, so snap it up!

This perfume was at the Vera Bradley annual sale for a steal, so I thought, "why not?". I'm actually really enjoying it. It starts out with a realistic, but fleeting, raspberry. From then on it's a sweet, soft jammy rose with no sourness or muskiness that I hate in a lot of rose perfumes. It lasts maybe 4 hours and stays close but fresh and sweet. I don't smell the almond/macaron, but that's ok with me. Recommended if you like a quiet rose jam and can find it and a good price!

Very nice sweet rose scent, also very light..it smells airy, and very pretty, like a good dewy rose, fresh and luminous...I dont detect anything else than the rose, the macaroon is not there...I detect a hint of almond, no vanilla..this is a watery scent, pretty, but not the gourmand I expected!This would make a nice light scent for a young girl! Longevity is actually good!! But this perfume is not what I expected!! but someone else might find it more gourmand!!

Something in here is sour and sharp, maybe the cassis. It's really off-putting to me. I can smell the rose and a generic sweetness, but that sharp, sourness is just too much. I'm glad I got a reasonably priced sampler kit because none of the scents do much for me. The cotton flower one is the best and that's not saying much.

Don't buy if you are looking for macaroons! Rather buy one that really does smell like one: La tentation de Nina (Nina Ricci) which is GORGEOUS raspberry macaroon!! Forget this one: not interesting... just rose notes. Boring!
