powdery ..creamy..soapy..blissfully divine..aromatic in its own way.. florally,sensual,dryish yet mellow and crisp and pungent..a hint sweetish.. clean .. clean as in old beige lux soap.. in a good way.. a bit like hermes clache...a base of light amber musk and sandalwood even if they r not listed.. i feel this perfume is velvety ..warm ..and sultry ..and somehow extremely feminine.. with an amazing bouquet of flowers.. bridal.. off whit and beige flowers that are so sophisticated... it warms up and mends in with your skin.. and makes you smell so wonderful.. so elegant.. so feminine.. ..its a magical perfue..its a perfect bridal perfume fit for autumn and winter.. and fall..its serene..divine and fine ..its beautiful..a perfect connotation of so many refined ..complex.. accords that play a wonderful symphony of love.. not over powering ..not in your face ..yet with a strong character..a charisma.. a seducer.. a woman in a bottle..all its notes are in perfect harmony and balance ..noting is out of tune..it keeps developing in to a more complex floral.. but never loses touch with reality.. for its a real perfume..its an abundant perfume..full ..rich..

I really enjoy this! I'm pleasantly surprised by this gem. I know this will bloom better in the warmer months but at the moment I get a slight sweet fruitiness from this, the notes show orange and it's not acidic at all. The white florals are gorgeous in this fragrance, my god it smells so nice. No powdery iris and the lotus with lily of the valley is more prominent to me! A very fresh and clean fragrance without smelling like soap. There's something about this fragrance that's comforting and reminds me of my mom, but I don't recall my mother wearing anything that smells like this. I could see how some would find this generic and boring, but you have to enjoy florals and fresh fragrances to appreciate this one. This is not for the man-eaters, it's for those who enjoy the quiet and simple things (: Update: February 25th Monday I've realized what it is that reminds me of my mother! The lily gives a "skin care" kind of vibe like a moisturizer of some sort. This fragrance doesn't smell like skin care but that prominent lily note just reminds me of it then trails into a fresh and sweet white floral (:

I bought a slightly used bottle of this for a bargain on eBay after smelling the 'Truly Pink' version that my sister bought my mother. Reading up on the notes (and the reviews!), I decided that I would probably like the original even more than Truly Pink. I sprayed this on my wrist 5 minutes ago, and I love the top notes- very fresh, clean, and unobtrusively floral. It might not get points for uniqueness, but it does smell kind of expensive. I can't pick out individual notes, either, which in my opinion, signals a well-blended perfume. Vera Wang is soft, but not completely indiscernible like some perfumes out there (Oh Lola, I'm looking at you!). It also reminds me of perfumes like Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom, 5th Avenue, and Marc Jacobs Daisy- all of which could be sisters. I hope the lasting power will also be good, because I can see myself wearing this a lot this year. Update: This lasted for 14 hours on me. However, I noticed that the sillage decreased promptly after about 2 hours. The perfume sat pretty close to the skin after that, resembling a feminine, rose skin scent.

I would say that this is the perfect brides perfume. Lots of white flowers hit you first. The lily and gardenia are really strong but then you can just about detect the lily of the valley. I am a bit perplexed and folk seeing a similarity with EA 5th Avenue which is a lily of the valley dominated fragrance that I also own and love. You really need to love the strong white flower scent or it will probably be too much and migraine inducing! There is quite a bit of soapiness that I am not that keen on so I tend to layer it with a sweeter fragrance to suppress that. It is definitely not very sweet and probably could do with the addition of some musk to tone down the white flowers. Its a big bouquet of fragrant flowers in a bottle and for the love of me I cant detect the sandalwood! Moderate sillage and longevity.

The one that started it all for Vera Wang fragrances. This is just such a classy beautifully balanced floral. You get rose, gardenia balanced by the lovely Lilly of The Valley and Jasmine all with a nice warm musky finish. What I love about this scent is that not one particular note in this fragrance overpowers the other. When I first sprayed it on my skin, I thought it was a bit stuffy and powdery, but like every perfume; what you initially smell isn't what you get, and after a few minutes, this fragrance settled into a gorgeous warm veil of soft elegance. Is it a particularly unique scent? Maybe not; however, for the hundreds of fragrances that fit into this particular olfactory group, there's something about this particular scent that is memorable, very distinct and utterly gorgeous.

A very clean, sophisticated scent that is light and fresh. White florals are perfectly blended with a fruity note, smells like a green melon to me, although this is not included in the notes. There’s a smoothness to this scent and no hard edges at all, very well blended. I don’t get much powder and I don’t think it’s an older person scent- maybe 25 and up. I adore vintage spicy, powdery florals so this, to my nose, is clean, fresh and light. It’s subtle and gorgeous, sophisticated and refined. Someone described it as dainty- yes, it’s when you want to feel feminine, fresh as a daisy and delicious. I agree it would make a good wedding perfume. Lovely, would buy again for this price. Would be a good gift- safe buy in my opinion.

This fragrance really surprised me in a good way. Because it has its reputation as one of the top wedding perfumes, I of course had a little sample vial that I had tried a few times. It wasn't until the 3rd or 4th time that I had tried this perfume that I realized it worked with my chemistry and was a very romantic floral for its sake. I like the way it melds with my skin and projects its sillage. I wore it to church and could imagine myself walking down the aisle leaving a trail of this. I wore it to work and when I got home my fiance hugged me and said "mmm you smell nice..like dryer sheets" and if that's the end result after 10 hours, that's fine by me! After all, we all want to smell clean!

This fragrance is 'Tried and True' for me. It's safe, reliable, and always comforting and pretty. I cannot imagine anyone being offended by it, and, in fact, have had numerous compliments over the years, having people exclaim "How wonderful you smell, let me give you a hug!" It is a cozy, cocooning floral that creates a sweet and mellow aura, plus it lasts decently, even with a light hand. The settling in and dry down lets off wafts of subtle fragrance bursts that give me a lift throughout the day. I believe this is the true Signature fragrance of the Vera Wang line, the one that is the most pure and sophisticated. If you are a classy lady thinking of buying one Vera W. fragrance, this is it!

Of all the fragrances I own, this is the only one I have that both my husband and I like. Very feminine and floral. Womanly, not girly. It has enough fruit in it to keep it from being too dry for me (I prefer a very light touch of sweetness in my fragrance). I find it to be very linear and doesn’t change much from start to finish. I’d prefer a bit of a creamy drydown that lasts a bit longer, but I’m pretty happy with smelling like fresh flowers for a good 5 hours. I have the Parfum and the edp. I like the Parfum as well...they are very similar with the Parfum simply being a bit deeper and longer lasting. Sad to hear it’s been discontinued? Guess I’ll have to stock up.

I smelled this on someone else and just had to get it without even testing it first. I really love this scent. It starts off at the very beginning as bright and a bit strong but that only lasts about a minute. Don't get me wrong, this is floral all the way...I get roses, lillies and jasmine but all so perfectly balanced with the bergamot and understated so as not to be like you were just thrust nose first into a bouquet. After about an hour this becomes powdery and sandalwood on my skin but the floral essence is still in the background...not screaming but simply saying "smell me, I'm so pretty!" The best part is this lasts on my skin at least 7 hours.

The original Vera Wang fragrance is special to me because I wore it on my wedding day. It was a winter wedding so in my opinion this is a year round floral. It is very soft and womanly. It is not typically my style since I love the dark spicy fragrances but there is something about Vera Wang that made me step outside my comfort zone. AND, every time I wear it my husband mentions how much he likes it. Perhaps, my smell on our wedding day 9 years ago is imprinted on him. Anyway girls, this is the perfect wedding day fragrance...if you can't afford a Vera Wang dress, spend the money on this perfume. Well, that is my two "scents" worth. Happy Perfuming!

Bought the EDP at a local drugstore for 20 dollars as a blind buy. I really did not know what to expect, but I figured a Vera Wang frag would be at the very least, floral....which this is absolutely. I do not detect any citrus...mostly lily, gardenia, rose and on the drydown, just a hint of sandalwood. I too detect a bit of soap, but I don't find it offensive, it adds a touch of "clean and fresh" to the mix. As for iris...hmmm...we have irises growing in our garden at home and the flowers have no scent....so I have no idea what that would smell like. I am very pleased with my purchase...it adds a touch of spring to a blaah Canadian winter.

Balanced and well blended, timid white floral. It has a dewy lily resting on a dry citrus-wood foundation. It is an unpretentious and elegant scent that really makes one feel more put together without drawing too much attention. Wang has a bit of an edge that is rather bitter-green, but it comes off rather well, toning down the floral sweetness. My favourite part in fact. The fragrance certainly feels un-European, sort of making me think of North American churches or Singaporean Western style weddings for some reason. I really like it for its subtlety and clarity. Really a scent that is romantic, yet clever and rather cold.

My sister and I inherited this perfume after our mother died. She had two bottles of this perfume, nearly full. She had so many bottles of scents...Anyway, I just recently started wearing this scent and I love it! It's the perfect daytime fragrance! The notes are fresh but not overpowering, and the wood mellows the whole bouquet out. The only notes that stand out on me is the jasmine and lilies of the valley, but it's such a airy and fresh collaboration that they work beautifully together. I want to keep this perfume for a long time, so I'll be checking out for this as I finish up my first bottle. Thank you Mom!

I wrote this off at first as an older lady soapy floral scent. However there is something refreshing about this perfume but also comforting and a bit mature but not so much its stuffy. I reached for it again after reading reviews on here of it being a wedding perfume, I have been wanting to feel more feminine and this has really done the trick for me usually when I would want to feel more girly I'd reach for a heavy vanilla or super sweet fragrance which are up in your face sexy/cute but this feels like a proper romance smell which is understated but intoxicating if smelt close enough that makes me feel elegant.

I want to bathe in this today, so I will write a review instead. This is a pleasant light floral with a subtle powdery softness. There is no sweetness in this for me, which I love. On my skin it smells of fresh flowers in the realistic rather than synthetic sense - like sticking your nose in a mixed bouquet. I was complimented on it the last time I wore it, and today I found myself reaching for it for the first time in a few weeks. I’m glad I did - it has made me feel relaxed and yet polished all day. I wear this on days when I want to wear something calm, feminine and understated yet elegant.

To my snout, this is THE floral!!! An amazing, beautiful, complex, well blended floral perfume! Now, I may be a little bias about this one because I absolutely love powdery florals. This one is a beautiful soft floral/white floral, rose, powdery, with a touch of wood in the base. I couldn't ask for anything more... well, except for the fact that it doesn't last very long, at least on me. I did happen to find the parfum gel which seems to last about 6 hours. You can wear this one anywhere, anytime, completely non offensive, and not a headache to be found! 9/10 (-1 for being short lived)

This is my 2nd bottle of this gem! Every Spring, I buy it again. I love White flowers and Vera Wang is a very happy, luminous, shinny White flowers Bouquet. What allows you to wear it in the Office as well as on a lovely romantic evening. This is like a 5th Avenue case. Both perfumes are classy, refined, Lady like and have very nice Prices. I mean...if you love gardenia and lily of the valley as I do, and wants an elegant luminous floral scent with a certain volume, without being loud. Vera Wang is your choice. For sure, a very classy spring scent!

I cannot explain why, but this was on a 50%off sale here in Greece. Got a 50ml bottle for 18€!!! Good times. What a scent. Nothing super original, still you must reach for way more expensive houses to get this luxurious soapy floral feel. This is a Cartier style perfume with some Van Cleef class if you know what I mean. It smells like floral gold. High pitched, not sweet, not boring, not fruity, a tingling scent that makes you dream of a walk in glorious gardens holding a glass of champagne. Oh my god.

This perfume is ideal for the floral lover (hi <3) that wants something simple, fresh clean without breaking the bank. It's a plump, floral soapy lily perfume, with the other ingredients occasionally coming in to say hello. As many reviewers state, the scent is best suited for work or formal occasions that require a inoffensive and reliable scent. Due to the sugarpocaylpse of modern perfumery, I think this can pass as unisex clean scent. It gets the job done effortlessly and stylishly.

Love it! Very elegant, very french and romantic. I love how it develops on my skin, I feel so happy because it was a blind buy, one of the best I did. I find it very special, and I use it both as a everyday fragrance and as a special occasion's perfume. I don't know if someone else will agree with me, but I use to wear Jean Patou Joy,the parfum, when I was on my twenties, and Vera Wang remembers me very much of Joy, only in a mild and subtle way. Very good memories! Very good perfume.

This has been a go-to for me for several years running. It works great for day, where I want to smell good and not offend, and remain classy at all times. People exclaim how yummy it is when they give me a hug. Yes, it's floral, but not too sweet--I dislike overly sweet gourmand fragrances in all seasons. Being a floral, I find it's a natural for spring/summer, but I find myself reaching for it year round. Whenever I run out, I repurchase. Plus, that bottle design! Just gorgeous.

Pure floral , timeless classy , very easy to wear and now with a great price tag. It is somehow intimate, which makes it a perfect choice for the office where you don’t want to distract others. I usually like to keep my fragrance for myself and for those who are only invited to my personal space. Some reviews complain about the soapy shampooy finish, but to me in glaring hot 50+ c degree mornings ( like where I live) believe me a (freshly opened shampoo) note is very appealing .

@devaluxe was on point. I love this soapy, nostalgic scent, like a bubble bath at my grandmother's house. I'd be so happy with my bottle if it weren't so incredibly weak. Likely due to reformulation. It might smell strong enough when you test it on your wrist or smell the nozzle, but if you overspray yourself, people will still barely smell you, at least not after 30 minutes. Affordable but at a cost, my atomizer ended up broken, and it's hard for me to spray this.

One of my first favourite perfumes as a teenager. Had a lotion with this perfume in it. Definitely generic but very spring and summer...even fall...though, for escapism and nostalgia purposes I'd wear it in the winter. This perfume is way out of my budget, however. The price is a bit much considering it's not a very distinct fragrance. Definitely a slightly fruity, musky white floral. My tastes have changed a bit but this one still holds a place in my heart.

I think this was my first designer frangrance I fell in love with on the spot. Men seem to absolutely love this on me. If I stop for a second, I think this is the fragrance that I get complimented on the most. The sillage is very good on my skin and, as I've said before, my skin absorbes scents like a monster. It lasts a really long time as well. I absolutely LOVE IT. I think I have 3 bottles right now lol I can't live without it in my collection!

This is another one of those ultrafeminine perfumes for true ladies, or those of us trying to imitate the same. I would say it is probably the most unabashed, in-your-face floral I have ever worn, so keep that in mind if flowers aren't your thing. The scent is lush and deep, with lots of white blossoms, hints of citrus and green notes, and ending in creamy cashmere woods and musks. If you do feminine in a big way, this could be your soul scent.

After seeing the reviews here, I bought my flacon today and I have to say that it ́s a very very lovely spring summer scent. A very fresh, flowery, classic day scent. But it ́s a day scent with a vintage personality suitable for a wedding, a lunch in a restaurant, an important office meeting. For much people can be a little bit strong to be a every occasion scent. This is lady scent. The staying power is very good. I like it very very much!

How does Vera Wang pull off delicious creamy, almost candy-like or fruity sweetness with nothing but flowers?!? I still can't figure this out. But the lily and LOTV and gardenia combined are to die for. After about 15 min of spraying this I am in soft, sweet creamy flower heaven. That lily!! My husband smelled this and said "yeah that smells like you." I'm gonna take that as a big compliment;) Someday I will have this perfume. I love it.

Vera Wang’s signature scent smells like a classic white floral fragrance. It is distinct, yet feminine and fresh. I think Vera Wang does an excellent job of making lily fragrances since I love Sheer Veil by her as well. As this fragrance begins to dry down I can smell the lotus blossom and rose. To me this is the perfect everyday white floral fragrance because it is inoffensive and budget friendly. Very nicely done!

This has been my number one go to scent for years now, it just never fails me, day or night, all year through. It is a stunning floral with a hit of youthful play to it, but it's classy and it's womanly and I've found that over the years I repeatedly have comments when I wear it. It won't over power a room when I enter, but those near by will receive a sweet hint of perfection as I pass by. I'm hooked for life.

it reminds me of a simple elegant bride..it smells very fine ,sophisticated and classy..its very clean and it does not overpower you..it just makes you happier some how some way..it lifts your spirits ..its a perfume for all seasons that you never get board of..its always there to get you up when you need it..simply a new age classic..that will be there for centuries to come..i hope! rating 4.5 out of 5

Everything about this fragrance says "wedding". From the bottle resembling tall church windows or a bride's crinoline skirt and her waist, the silver cutlery, the china and the napkin fold. The scent itself, a bouquet of all the classic wedding flowers. I'm thinking I would wear this, or Oscar De La Renta's Something Blue or Estee Lauder's Beautiful for my own wedding too someday.

Sigh. I’m in love with this fragrance! I have an EDP from 2016 and it’s gorgeous. It reminds me of Beautiful and Tresor back in the 90’s. A bouquet of luscious flowers with some sandalwood and musk. Very nice. This has some iris that makes it feel a little different than the others. A bit of soap too. I’m quite enjoying this elegant lady.

I really really love this perfume, it is a beautiful, elegant floral that is feminine without being too overwhelming. A good fragrance to wear to work as well, as it isn't overly sexy. This used to be my go-to perfume, however, after less than 6 months my bottle went all skunky and I had to throw it out....:(

Just lovely. The lily of the valley is so nice and lotion-y. I love soapy clean scents and this one fits the bill without being too astringent or aldehydic. It’s still so soft and floral. Sure it’s not the most “in” scent in 2026 but who cares? You will not catch me smelling like cereal milk

Gardenia, sandalwood and iris are leading the way, but slowly apple and rose enter the blend. Beautiful, classical, elegant, straightforward fragrance. I'd say great for office and business meetings especially if you want to make a statement with your presence.

Pure class. Fresh, sophisticated, and smooth, this is florals done right. The rose and gardenia are blended in a lovely, symbiotic relationship. The drydown is smooth and creamy musk while maintaining a bit of a citrus bite. I love this gem.

Totally in love with this but once again I am wondering, why does fragrantica's pyramid omit some of the ingredients provided by the house? Where are "Stephanotis and pure musk" in fragrantica's pyramid?

This fragrance, for me, is so perfectly floral, fresh, and warm. It was the very first perfume I ever wore. It reminds me of first loves, my mothers garden, and lazy days outside.

Stunning, divine, wonderful and feminine. This is by far Vera Wang`s best. None of the other offerings come close including the odd Lovestruck.

What a delightful scent! Light florals that start off a little soapy but then just blossom into a pretty bouquet.....absolutely LOVE it!
