Ambre Nectar

I just discovered this fragrance line this weekend. This line is so underrated..I hope it stays and not disappear. I’m really in love with h this amber fragrance. This fragrance gives Ambre Leviant from LV a run for its money. The dry down brings out so many notes that keeps making you sniff yourself. I love how it changes through out the hours upon my skin. I will be adding this to my collection!

Standout from the new releases in the collection! I was so over amber as they all smell the same, but this has gotten me back on board! I would say it’s a mix between Gingembre Petillant and Grand Soir by MFK. Not sure about the last comment saying it smells like bacon, they with are on drugs or have long covid!

Versace Ambre Nectar and Bvlgari Orom are similar, but the Bvlgari is more woody, balsamic, airy and cosmetic in comparison with the much more charred, sweet and overall intense Versace. Orom was an instant love but now I reach for Ambre Nectar instead.

Ambre Nectar is an appealing option from Versace's private line that I think shares some familiarity with mainstream amber-centered scents. Designer-esque, I'd also definitely say gourmand-esque. Oud is listed, and while I have developed a little more tolerance for that for it, I couldn't quite detect it as much as other oud-scents I smelled that same day.

This one might get more attention than the others from the line... It first reminds me of Bvlgari Orom, and as it dries down I actually get that smooth caramel and benzoin that moves towards Onekh, also by Bvlgari. I actually really like this and am surprised! Not sure yet on performance.

I get a pure and naturalistic leather with Ambre Nectar. It’s so biker-jacket that it leans slightly more masculine. A buttery-soft amber-leather that’s done without smoke for once.

Initial oudy amber blast, quickly turns into Ouch Cadenza. Jordi's self clone, with worse ingredients + demential price. Get Crivelli's version... objectively better ingredients, a better scent and much better performance for less dinero!

Leathery, animalic, bacon like :D Dark, smoky, sensual. Not for me, but I can understand why people could like it.

The Atelier Versace series continues to surprise and delight in equal measure. I've been talking about several releases from this line for a while, and the subject of today's review is Ambre Nectar. As with several others in the collection, it is Jordi Fernandez on the strips for this one and if Gigembre Petilante and Patchouli Precioux are wondrous crowdpleasers with universal appeal, there are others in the line that are much more niche. I didn't enjoy Encens Supreme very much but Ambre Nectar is absolutely awesome. The opening is a very intense, quite dark oud and leather that calms down on the skin as the amber and the sweetness from a caramel note start to come in. This is right up my street. It gives me Oud Cadenza vibes but isn't as spicy and is a bit smoother and not as strong. The oud in this is absolutely gorgeous. The amber and vanillin notes in the base give me Grand Soir vibes too. I think you'd struggle to wear Oud Cadenza or Grand Soir to the office but this you could get away with, after the heavy opening has calmed down a bit. Like Oud Cadenza the real beauty here is the way it sits on the skin. Some perfumes are more sensual skin scents and others are just plain sexy and this is both in a similar way to Grand Soir. You know how some fragrances just sing to you from the first spray, and others take a few wears to figure out? Grand Soir is still a like not a love, and Oud Cadenza took a few wears as well but this got me first spray. It has been on my to-buy list for a long time and is one of those fragrances that makes you a bit sad not to own it yet. So if I had to describe Ambre Nectar to you, it would be that it is a niche-quality designer in a gorgeous bottle that sits between Grand Soir and Oud Cadenza in the drydown and is every bit as smooth and sexy as these, but a little sweeter and easier to wear during the day. The blending is absolutely wonderful and the way it changes on your skin like the sun going down is just magical. How more people aren't raving about this one, I do not know. Sounds incredible based off the notes. This entire line is very underrated and Versace deserves more love for it. Santal Boisee is a perfect 10 out of 10.
