Very beautiful and underrated fragrance. It starts very fresh, just like Chanel Allure Homme Sport, the top notes are almost the same. But AHS has that heavy, marine note i don't like, VPH is more light and airy. On my skin, after a few minutes i can smell the bright, vibrant, floral, but masculine heart of fragrance. That's probably blue hyacinth and geranium duo. After few hours it turns in woody/ambergris base which stays till 10+ hours close to the skin. It's not at all generic, you must try a full wear in order to appreciate the complexity and uniqness of VPH. The most versatile fragrance i know (more then BdC)all seasons, day/night, perfect for work/dates - girls really love it(!). It's clean, elegant, gentleman fragrance which will make a smile on your face and will bring a sensation of happiness. One bemol - not project too much, i'd say projection is moderate, after few hours someone need to be close to you to smell it. For better longevity/projection you may do the trick Abercrombie do with Fierce - spray some on clothes - this juice do it much better then Fierce. That only if you want to have VPH as your signature scent. For that purpose it's perfect! you will never offend anyone. That add mediterranean feel to your clothes. Magnificent, yet safe. The opening is harsh, and reminds me of pine needles (I know that's not the official notes, that's just the vibe I get personally). Within 5 minutes, it's begun mellowing. It continues mellowing until 20 minutes in, the cologne reaches a perfect state of calm cleanliness. No one can dislike this. It's impossible. Projection isn't amazing. You have 2 hours max of an arm's length. But following that, you will have a lasting skin scent that makes you feel fresh. And if anyone gets within 6 inches of you, they'll discover that too. This cologne is not forced onto others. It is left as a pleasant surprise to be discovered by those who approach. For that reason, it is my daily driver. You have to consider what a "compliment" means. Half of the time, it's just a way to let you know your cologne is too strong and you need to tone it down. This will garner TRUE compliments, and 0 criticism. As someone enters your personal space, they will intimately encounter a smell they are bound to find pleasant. Everyone does. My guy friends, girl friends, old ladies, babies, whoever. You cannot go wrong with this. There is no better starter daily driver, especially considering you can get a dope bottle for 40 dollars. 9/10 (opening, longevity detracts). Just don't wear it when going out. It's too chill for that.

So, I bought my bottle of Versace Pour Homme in 2009, back when the composition contained Oud & Ambergris. In a nutshell this original version smells like a bed of Neroli, Roses, & Citruses floating on top of fresh salty ocean waters, with wafts of smoke from burning Oud on shore blowing across it. The original Versace Pour Homme works best on Summer Nights, & warmer Fall Days when its overcast. While this version is an Aquatic, I wouldnt recommend wearing it on extremely hot days. Its fresh, citrusy, & Aquatic, but its also Dark, Woody, & Smoky. It has strong projection, sillage, & longevity. NOTE: My bottle doesnt smell anything like current formulations. The current formulation is a fresh, Citrus, Aquatic, with mild woody notes of Cedar. The new version of Versace Pour Homme can be worn on extremely hot days. ORIGINAL NOTE LIST: Top Notes: Diamante Citrus (Lemon), Bergamot, Neroli, Bitter Orange Leaves, & Rose de Mai. Heart Notes: Blue Hyacinth, Clary Sage, Cedarwood, and Geranium. Base Notes: Mineral Amber, Musk, and Oud Wood. REFORMULATED NOTE LIST: Top Notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Neroli, and Rose de Mai,and Bitter Orange Leaves. Middle Notes: Clary Sage, Geranium, Blue Hyacinth, and Cedarwood. Base Notes: Amber, Musk, and Tonka Bean.

I got a decant of this last summer, and back then I immediately disregarded it as too synthetic. Fast forward to now, I tried it again, and my nose has matured a lot since then. At the time, I mostly owned popular designer fragrances, whereas now I lean more toward niche and higher-end designers, which makes the fact that I enjoy this much more now especially interesting to me. It’s incredibly smooth, with a creamy neroli note in the opening that I’ve recently come to appreciate (especially after falling in love with Amouage Reflection Man and Gucci Guilty Elixir), blended with classic fougere elements like sage and geranium, and the subtle rose/floral nuances (so typical of 2000s mens fragrances) add a really nice touch. The fresh, sparkling lemon on top, combined with a musky/tonka base, plus cedar and ambroxan, make this the complete panty-dropper. Versace really created one of the best masculine scents ever, and they sell it for pennies. Beautiful! P.S. Jeremy Fragrance once said that if you pick a random girl and make her choose between Versace Pour Homme and 99% of other fragrances, she’d pick this one. I couldn't agree more while sniffing my arm rn..

Versace "Pour Homme" usually is touted as a citrus & fresh fragrance, which it is. HOWEVER, the true magic is the floral & rose notes. . . This makes it stand out in a now oversaturated fresh/blue/aromatic/citrus fragrance era we're now in. It's been nearly 20 years and it's still fantastic. Floral masculine is rare & even more so rare for it to be done right. Another masculine floral fragrance is Maison Francis Kurkdjian "A La Rose", which is okay but has an acrid musk, and is too expensive for mediocrity, compared to Versace "Pour Homme" there's no competition. Pour Homme is the floral fresh king, it's also extremely price friendly, it's only weakness is an okay longevity, but it's still a good 4-6 hours! In a world of too many fresh summer fragrances Pour Homme reigns Supreme, while it thrives in summer, it's slight musk & green floral base allows it year round or indoors. Alberto Morillas, the perfumer who made "Pour Homme" & my other favorite "Pi" Givenchy, is a true master of fragrance. I suggest those who like his fragrances to search his many other creations! 10/10 Fragrance, that's slightly masculine and teeters the lines of unisex.

Well, I finally got around to purchasing this after the price continued to come down ... A+ purchase! I have so many fresh scents that I love ... and at a lower price ... like Bentley Silverlake and Ferragamo Essenziale ... not to mention Dylan Blue. So, I always thought ... just one more blue freshie, right? NO!!! What makes this PHENOMENAL is the FLORAL ... especially the rose. It's difficult for me to find a masculine floral leaning scent that I love .... like Eternity ... or even Paul Sebastian. Well, this definitely is edging out my Eternity ... not by much ... but again, the ROSE. So, in the opening I do get some pleasant citrus notes, but my nose almost immediately picks up the rose and neroli. I'm sure the other floral notes listed kick in to some degree during the mids. Finally on the drydown, I get the pleasant, woody musk vibes ... but with the florals still present. It is slightly sweet from the tonka ... but really not much at all. This is NOT a sweet fragrance ... YES! This is for the most part, a MASCULINE fresh floral fragrance with a musk drydown. It is a quality fragrance and I'm so very glad to add it to my collection.

After sampling here and there I finally got a bottle and it didn't take long for this to reach my GOAT list. It's easy to wear, it's fresh it's clean , slightly soapy , airy watery , masculine. It's not a lemon bomb or overly green . It's quite honestly the perfect balance for an everyday freshie. Super versatile. For it being an almost 20 year old fragrance it could have easily been released this year and it would totally fit in with modern fragrances . It smells great. But what made it go over the top for me is that it made me not need a bunch of other everyday fresh fragrances I had. I feel this touched every base I wanted so perfectly that I simply had no need for other similar style fragrances . So it saved me money since I sold 5 other bottles . Performance, it is a little better than what you would expect from similar fragrances . But for the price and it not being annoyingly strong you can over spray the heck out of it . For work I get about 6 hours out of 7 sprays 9.5/10 . Waiting on a sale to get multiple bottles

Made an account just to add a review. I've had this fragrance for 2 years, and its easily my favorite fresh/summer scent. Its inoffensive yet complex, its longevity is perfect for an actual hot weather and the value makes it a daily scent. It reminds me of a hot day, you are wearing a clean white tee shirt and some swim shorts near the pool, you are by your friends, soaking up the sun, talking after months of not seeing each other, drinking ice cold beers ready to jump in the pool. Allure Homme Sport opens up to very summery aquatic notes, but the dry down is very vanilla-y and very cloying for an actual hot weather. Pour Homme stays fresh all throughout, opening to a limey, peppery smell, and drying up to a very masculine floral scent. No need to overspray, a 100ml bottle has lasted me 2 years, and I will rebuy as soon as I finish it. If you are going to be outside this summer like I am, this is the scent to pick up!

One of my best friends showed me this fragrance as this was his signature scent and I smelled it off his wrist and was like "man, that's beautiful!". I liked it so much that I needed to get myself a bottle. I bought a 50ml for $60 CAD and I do not regret my purchase, it's bright, citrusy, sweet-fresh, and extremely aromatic with the large amounts of citrus, oranges, lemons, and neroli, however it does have a noticeable maturity to it from the cedar and slight earthiness as it dries down. Easily the best fragrance from the House of Versace, but the performance could be better, as this does last a decent while on my skin (about a good 4 - 5 hours on my wrists from four sprays in the slightly colder weather), but it varies from person to person. Just a great dumb reach fragrance for those who need to run errands in the spring and summer heat. 9.8/10 - just wish the performance could be better than average.

Damn son. Sweet sour floral amber-musk. Masculine & wonderful. So well blended, so versatile. Generic? No - lots of fragrances smell like parts of this, but this juice is a masterpiece. Not beast mode, but the guy who wears it isn’t either. He’s tan, he smiles, he holds the door for strangers. He isn’t shy but he doesn’t crave attention. All the moms want him over for dinner & he’s the man neglected housewives wish their husbands were. He notices when a woman loses weight or changes her hair. He remembers birthdays & how people like their food prepared. Confident easy going & wonderful to be around. Just like the man who wears it. 2 sprays to each moisturized collarbone gets me 2+ hours of juicy floral projection & 4-5 more of amber-muskwood skin scent. 2 sprays to clothes outdoors in the summer is plenty. Under $10/oz this is a no brainer for me. I wear it with a sour smelling bergamot deodorant 🍊💧🍋

This is a timeless masterpiece. A wonderful example of masterclass perfumery by the legendary Alberto Morillas. It's bright citrus, airy and fresh, floral and elegant with a brightness that is unmatched for me. Instant mood elevator. My only gripe is longevity and projection. It's pretty mediocre, but isn't meant to be a beast in the first place. I also go nose blind to this one easily, but it's still so good. Great for spring, summer, vacations, out of the shower, the office and so on... For the price at discounters it's an instant buy. This is another you can pick up a 200ml for well under $100. Usually in the $70 range. I also recommend Missoni Wave for a longer lasting and more creamy version of this scent profile at an extremely affordable price. Chanel Allure Homme Sport started this DNA and is another magnificent, lightly powdery, creamy tonka option with class.

Just got this as an everyday casual fresh fragrance, ordered the 30ml because it was a blind buy but I'm very impressed and imagine I'll get a bigger bottle in the future. I want to comment on the longevity because that's something a lot of people are concerned about, but today after 8 hours working in the office, I could still smell a subtle skin scent from the fragrance 9 hours after applying to moisturized skin. You can reapply to get the fresh top notes again but it does last fairly long it just doesn't project later into the day. Very happy with this one for everyday wear and I recommend, its similar to what I like about my Prada l'homme, it's easy, fresh and clean but it's louder and more casual than the Prada. It's also more subtle, versatile and easy to wear than my ADG Profondo parfum which I find needs to be worn outside in hot weather.

Versace what have you really done with one of the most beautiful perfumes in the world? The bottle produced in 2025 is completely reformulated and has no longevity or projection at all. I have been using Versace Pour Homme for 10 years and I can confirm that the batches produced in 2025 have completely disappointed me, the last verson has new notes that take the perfume in a different direction, not comparable to the original — and it’s of much poorer quality. New notes on the official Versace site: Top: Bergamot, neroli, citron of Diamante, bitter orange leaves Heart: Geranium, clary sage, blue hyacinth Base: Oud wood, mineral amber, cedar wood. Has anyone else had a similar experience with the new batches of Pour Homme?

This is the most "fragrance" fragrance ever. When I think of the word cologne, this is what I see. It is exactly what people think cologne smells like. But it really is a good scent. It has a great range of being not too loud or quiet, just the amount that everyone wants to smell. It is simply a fresh fragrance. It is good for summer or any other warm occasion. It is not that unique but I wouldn't count that as a demerit. Everyone needs a non-intrusive mass appealing scent. Factor that in with its pretty decent price. If someone said to me, they don't want a collection and just need one fragrance and it is all they'll have for their whole life. This is what I would tell them to get.

This one is so easy to dismiss, so easy to label as generic or derivative, but like that super poppy, infectious song of the summer, it just works. You don't want it to, but it totally does, and the summer is more beautiful for it. Clean, citrusy, a tad musky, and able to provoke images of waves, the poolside, and the shower. It is a summer staple. I remember the first time I smelled it: I was a teacher and a parent was picking up their kid on the last day of school. He had so much of this stuff on, but it filled the air with the most wonderful vacation-like aquatic fragrance. It smelled like someone about to go on holiday to somewhere predictable, but super fun. Total classic.

Review got lost in drafts. Here we have one of the best fresh scents for its price. It's extremely clean, soapy, with a neroli-citrus-tonka combination leading a musky, slightly floral and aromatic drydown. Despite the ingredients giving off a slight synthetic vibe, it doesn't take away from the scent. This is best suited for the gym, and for freshening up after showers. Put it on clothes if you want them to smell like fresh out of laundry. Projection is good, longevity is typical for an EDT - only a couple of hours before it disappears. It's a good in-between scent for the occasions you want to put no effort in. Overall solid 8/10, with a slight minus for synthetic feel

This might be one of the best go-to summer freshies of all time! It's pretty cheap, clean-smelling, and perfect for the gym, going shopping, or doing anything really. This is one of the first colognes I sampled, and I immediately was like, "Yes, I am definitely buying that!" It's just a perfectly easy-to-wear, reliable fragrance that will still have the ladies coming up saying you smell great. If you don't have a daily freshie yet, this is definitely a go-to pick up. The top notes may be a bit weird to some, like lemon hair spray, but you have to wait for the drydown, which is where it shines. Not the longest lasting, but most freshies aren't. 8.9/10.

This is the only fragrance a man needs. Just get this and sail off into the sunset. No more fragrance content, no more discount shopping, no more nonsense. This is a masculine man's man fragrance in the non-performative, uncorrupted sense of what it actually meant to be masculine, once upon a time. No gimmick, no "this one weird trick :^)", etc. This is Daniel Craig's James Bond in the eyes of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. "You know James, I just want you to know that if all that was left of you was your smile and your little finger, you'd still be more of a man than anyone I've ever met." This is that fragrance.

I actually decided to put this on again today, (its been a while), and got the most compliments I've received in over a month. I did spray in on thick, but everwhere I went I was told "oh you smell good". Once by the hot blonde girl standing behind me in line at starbucks. She winked at me and told me I smell good. AND IM A GAY MAN!! So if that's not the power of your cologne at work I dont know what is. I have been waiting for someone to tell me that my $450 creed or my other scents are amazing. Hmpf. But my $80 bottle of versace got noticed the most. I dont get it. Go figure.
