Yellow Diamond Intense

This is my third Versace fragrance. The thing I love about Versace is all of there fragrances are completely different to one another unlike Gucci Marc Jacobs and D&G who go through stages of knocking 5,6,7 slightly different variations of the same fragrance out. Versace is therefore a very refreshing brand compared to the others. I bought this one at the airport a couple of weeks ago. I was also considering Burberry body edp but decided against that one as it has a sort of boozy b.o scent on my skin. Versace intense yellow diamond for me is refreshing and revitalising scent it is a citrus but a sophisticated citrus it has a degree of class about it. One does not simply smell like sticky citrus fruit sweets or a sherbet lemon wearing this scent. It has a floral somewhat woody sweetness about it. I get lemon, pear, sandalwood and some other complexity of notes which I cannot identify. For me this is a morning perfume and would make a very good work perfume as it is awakening refreshing and gives an inspiring get up and go feel to it. I really like this fragrance it is a beautiful classy fresh Autumn scent and I feel motivated and in control when I wear it. Most people would prefer this for spring or summer, but as I've said before when reviewing other citrus perfumes for me, citrus perfumes work best in Autumn when there's a cold bite in the air and a nippy breeze, this is when such fragrances are at their best and smell wonderfully ripe and work to their full potential. Citron, White-Florals & Honey-Hay... Opens with a fruity-floral burst with citrus, honey & clean touches that reads honeysuckle & lemon blossom to my nose. These all deepen into a white floral heart that has powdery, honey, clean, fruity, & hay-like touches, all resting on a musky amber-woody base. Overall: Beautiful sweet citrus-floral scent, with above average performance for a spring-summer wearing experience. What scent would you wear for your first patio lunch in spring? It's a love for me. Enjoy! Contrast to Yellow Diamond (OG) Versace: These are different, but they're strikingly similar. YDI has a more forward white-floral accord, pungent-citrus quality and more honey-hay, while the OG is softer with a more fluffy citrus, and has a more forward shampoo quality. Both have above average performance, but YDI is slightly outperforms. Contrast to Eros Pour Femme Versace: These are different, but there are similarities with forward citrus. YDI is more citrus & white-floral forward while Eros Pour Femme has the more forward pomegranate and ambroxan notes. Roughly equivalent performance or slightly better for Yellow Diamond Intense. Update 08/07/24: Sprayed this on my hand this morning, and the longevity has improved a lot. Was still on after a workout & shower. Very citrus forward with white-florals, but I also enjoyed the osmanthus this time - a note which I've been enjoying more lately. Still a love. Update 05/14/25: I notice the pear & neroli more here than in Yellow Diamond (OG) Versace but they're quite similar. Uplifting lemon-y freshness. Each time I wear it I notice something different. Love it.

When I put this Diamond on I feel an incredible surge of energy a boost for the whole day ahead. Such an exhilarating smell; sparkling, sunny, sensual and yet refreshing! Nobody knows better female forms than Versace brand does ; its clothes as well as its perfumes are fashionable, feminine, sophisticated and sexy, though, a bit clingy sometimes. But you'll definitely revel in this scent if you love it, if not- you couldn't help, as it lasts as long as it lasts. And it worth every penny, as the wood is precious here, holy! It tingles and teases you with such a playful , green fuzziness. Nothing is opaque about this aroma, no darkness, no smokiness; it's warm, clear and clean citrusy-woody-floral composition, where freesia is shining gloriously to my great delight here. Even if the bottle is a little bit bulky, it's mesmerizing somehow, especially the stopper that looks like an UFO- the Beauty from the different dimension. Definitely, this is the Diamond for the rising star. Supernova! Superb! PS. This flanker is a great replacement of my, unfortunately, nearly empty bottle of "Wood Velvet Forest Wood" by Dsquared2; the same vibe but without pine and patchouli accords DI sounds less Unisex, and rather smooth and feminine because of the addition of a sweet pear note to it. Alberto Morillas surprises me as always. Xxx Edit: If you take away the Rose note from "My Burberry" by Burberry, you'll have the scent very reminiscent of "Diamond Intense", in my humble opinion indeed.

I ❤️ it! I my opinion this really is the intense version of the original, which I had and loved but was so very unhappy with the weak performance that it had! So about the scent: IMO you could like this even if - like me - you usually don’t really fancy a prominent citrus accord! It is beautifully fresh, and the most delightful blend of citrus and withe floral! It has one of my top favorite notes - freesia - and is making it smell airy not powdery, and since I dislike powdery scents but somehow love it when freesia is done in a way that is not powdery, I really appreciate this one (since this is rare imo)! The citron note, although it is listed only in the top notes, sticks with the flowers as well, and letting the fragrance feel like a zesty lemon meringue deliciousness with slightly sweet orange blossom drizzle and a tang of freshly cut green freesia smell on top... the musky base is being hold together by a tiny leather band and the faintest vanilla touch lingers on top... I think value and price are really good and it performs (as most perfumes with a strong citrus accord) formidable on me! ... A summer scent that can be enjoyed also during summer eves and brighter autumn days! Love!

Like a potent love potion, I fell hard for this one. Yellow Diamond Intense brings to mind the Lady of the woods every myth, legend and tale tell us about. Hauntingly beautiful, she bewitches everything in her path. White florals tempered by benzoin and woods exude an air of mystery without being dark. Seductive in its brightness and luminosity, this gem is truly is one of a kind. Sweet but not cloying...Pear, freesia and jasmine dominates but does not overpower the other notes in the composition. While having a bit of body compared to the original Yellow Diamond it maintains an airy quality throughout. Versatile as it is both warm and cold weather scent. Overall, I would describe it as milky / woody white floral. Lasts for ages with a heavy sillage. I've been bathing with compliments everytime I am wearing it. Compliments coming not just from the ladies but mostly from men. I'd say definitely worth the money spent.

This just arrived - a belated Hannukah present for myself. I had been deliberating between this and Eros EDT for a while now. I like them both and find them extremely similar. I find this one a tad sharper and less sweet than the Eros. I also have a mini of the original Yellow Diamond which I enjoy. The intense version is, as its name attests, basically the same scent just amped up a decibel or two. I know that winter is not the optimal season for this scent but I'm loving it anyway... ETA - I ended up buying the Eros EDT too. I love both these scents. They are both sunny and uplifting. The Eros is somewhat more 'mellow' and thus, in my opinion more office friendly.

This is a beautiful perfume! Of course very similar to Yellow Diamond, but lasts longer while being equally fresh and lemon-juicy. Like a perfect lemonade with a white florals and a touch of lemon zest. If you love this one, please try Versaces Eros pour Femme Edt and Edp if you can find them. Of these four perfumes, Eros pour Femme Edp is the most grown up/elegant and Eros pour Femme and Yellow Diamond Intense are quite equal great purchases for juicy fruity sweet lemon lovers. All four are safe blind buys, Yellow Diamond Edt lacks a bit in staying power though, compared to the others.

I got this when it first came out and I still love reaching for it in the spring and summer. Bright, citrus, white floral and it lasts for a good 3 hours or so on me. Out of all the Crystal line this and Noir are the only two that really spoke to me. Not a safe blind buy, but if you love the fresh & crisp floral citrus idea then you should definitely give it a try. Purchased from: Dillard's

I thought the original Yellow Diamond was nice but fleeting.. this is way better. You can see it's more concentrated when you spray it on because it leaves a sheen on the skin. Deeper and longer lasting than the original eau de toilette. It lasts all day long. You might get nose blind to it because of the musks but it lasts. This smells like citrus, wildflowers and musky woods. Beautiful.

I much prefer this intense to its EDT, there are surprising differences. Much less freesia, more citrus, amber and delicate pear. Its quite lovely and it radiates without making my nose crinkle with synthetic florals. Its beautiful and summery and it has great longevity. Its not a happy jasmine scent, just a true romantic white floral with lovely balance.

Was gonna give this away but decided to give it another try, spritzed on clothe and only a little on skin. To my nose, it's totally different now - it's young, clean, fresh, very feminine and flirtatious. I really like it now and find quite tender and it reminds a lot of star jasmine..I don't know why It's changed so much to me :/

My staple summer fragrance of few years. I loved it on first sniff. It's fresh, clean and bright, uplifting and joyous. I see it as very feminime. It's a bit soapy, bit I like it over original and Bright Crystal. To me it has more personality. Also it's one of the rare fragrances that got me compliments, mostly by men.

What an absolutely delicious fragrance to compliment the heat and fun of the summer months! It's floral, it's fresh, it's fruity, and it's fun. Intense enough to keep up with you and your intense summer fun, Yellow diamond won't get sour, sickly, or overbearing. Instead, it melts away, like a beautiful beach sunset.

Joyful, nice summery fragrance for lemon lovers. Citron and lemon (lemon with just a little bit of orange, more resinous and luscious) + tea, grass, weeds (nettle?) + clover (red and white) + trace of fig?. Like sniffing lemons in the middle of a meadow on a sunny day.

I'm so glad I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews. It's rare for me to love citrus fragances.. I'm a gourmand, fruity-patchouli, floral girl, but this one is so nice. Love 😍 it

Lovely! I actually think the original one smells more "intense" than this one. This is just more citrusy. I thunk I like the original more than this but the difference is very small.

The only thing I disliked about Yellow Diamond was that it was too airy and light. Yellow Diamond Intense is the perfect reworking.

It's very loud, rich and yellow.. I don't like the opening or heart but the drydown is pleasant enough - fresh and woody/floral.

I can’t stop smelling myself. This is one of my favorites at the moment. I love the fresh, citrusy smell without being sour.

This is a sparkly lemon white floral beauty. Very bright and happy fragrance. Great summer / spring staple!

Review from a guy. Ok this one is something I’ve always had a bottle of, and running low on my last bottle. This is the only Versace scent in the “crystal line” that truly got discontinued. It didn’t sell very well. However it’s not a bad scent. The EDT is very powdery and smells like... sunshine in a bottle. The shower gel is amazing and I like it more then the actual fragrances... smells like I’m showering In liquid gold. I’ll only wear the EDT early in the morning or when the sun is coming up. What makes Intense interesting is that it’s the opposite of smelling like sunshine, too me it smells like “luminous moonlight.” This is MOONLIGHT in a bottle, opposite of the sunshine in the EDT. The EDP opens with a blast of citrus and the pear works great. There is something about this fragrance that is different then anything else in my collection. I used to hate this and thought it was always weak and alcohol like. I scratched my head as the dry down was nice thinking the EDT was stronger. This is a bottle you HAVE to spray 3-4 times, then store it for 3-6 months. This one needs time to sit. I finally after 2 years, let a bottle sit for months rather then go through it in a few months. I thought this was so expensive for needing 10 sprays... so I thought. After letting 3 bottles sit 6 months, WOW!!! It’s so strong and leaves a trail the way Crystal Noir EDP 2020 did. I didn’t see the true potential of this until a few months ago. I opened 3 bottles all at once pissed off that they always smelled weak. I gave one away when I discovered mine was a powerhouse after all these years without knowing it. When I gave one to a friend from the batch of 3 sitting around for months, she too had a blast of a powerhouse, strong sillage. Wish I knew this before it got discontinued. Only when the fragrance is matured will it show it’s true form. Doesn’t smell sexy but smells expensive. This CAN be worn in cold dry weather like Noir EDP. Beautiful scent. Spray a new bottle and let it sit for months, you won’t regret the wait.

When I was buying this fragrance, there weren't any "Intense" testers, only the Yellow Diamond tester. The shop assistant assured me that they were "the same scent, just different levels of intensity". I knew she was wrong but smiled and nodded, wanting to hide the inner perfume obsessive who was shouting inside me, "Oh, no! No they are not!". If you compare them, the notes are actually quite different, where Yellow Diamond has lemon, mimosa and waterlily, YD Intense has citron, osmanthus and benzoin. You can already imagine the different feel of these two fragrances, just from reading that. I bought the Intense, I only needed one (shut up inner perfume demon!) and the price point enticed me (is this discontinued? I didn't see it on the Versace website and it wasn't expensive). The opening is bright and it reminds me a little of Marc Jacobs Daisy EDT. The dry down is a mish mash of all of those flowers, most potently the orange blossom, jasmine and freesia. Those, along with the citron, bergamot and ambery, benzoin base make this a tempered floral orange-lemon citrus fragrance. Not the world's finest explanation but the best I can do. If you want fresher and lighter, try the original Yellow Diamond, if you'd prefer something less bright, try the Intense.

I am really enjoying Versace fragrances currently. As a house, Versace has some of the best performing Spring /Summer fragrances on the market. The longevity and projection of most of their perfumes are outstanding. I was used to citrus fragrances that faded quickly and thought that was the norm. But, not with Versace. Versace Yellow Diamond Intense is a bright, cheerful and uplifting citrus perfume. It is slightly sweetened in the drydown and while it might not be the most unique, it is certainly unusual in its performance. Having owned a few Versace fragrances, I am starting to recognize a familiar base in the crystal line, Versace Eros (pour femme) and Dylan blue (pour femme). I can sense a similar clean, crisp and fresh accord in their base. This makes these perfumes very long lasting and project for hours. I do not think anyone will have complaints about their performance. Crisp, clean, bright, fresh, cheerful, white shirt perfect fragrances.

Oh this is so wonderful! If there ever was a “sunny floral”, this would be it. It opens with a fresh burst of citrus and quickly morphs into a springy floral with a woody/musky dry down. Even though it is juicy and vibrant, it is heavy and sticky at the same time. Kind of like bright yellow corduroy pants. They may look like skimpy summer pants from afar but if you look really close, you’ll see a velvet-like, clinging texture hiding behind the sunny color. This perfume is like that. It has 8+ hours staying power and the projection fills the room so it needs to be applied with a light hand. Ps: I agree with the reviewers who said this is a stronger version of the original. If you liked it but found it too light, this flanker might just be perfect for you.

I had to amend my original review now that I've worn it daily for the last week. The composition is beautiful beginning with a potent burst of something watery and floral but on me I get about an hour of projection max. After that I can smell a sheer version of the first spray when I put my nose directly to my skin. No one around me can smell anything even after three squirts on my neck. My Love Express perfume from five years ago can still be detected by others in the afternoon after wearing all morning. I want that type of longevity and sillage in a perfume but I guess you can wear this one without offending anyone since no one will likely pick up on it.

This was MY fragrance back in high school. I was smelling like it all day, every day, oversprayed like crazy. I was on a mission to be noticed! Lasted a super long time on my skin and clothes, and I was "abusing" one of my teachers with this woody, kind of sour citrus-y (but not lemony), jasmine smell. Oh, she hated it and I wore it every time I had classes with her just to spite her. Unfortunately, it did leave me with rashes after using it, so it stops me from loving it. After all these years I am left with around one spray of it and the citrus sour smell is barely there, dare I say almost gone.

Ok so I opened the new packaging with the baby blue box.... (Yellow Diamond in a blue box? Why not a darker shade of yellow like with the new Bright crystal EDP box?) It’s exactly the same formula. Not reformulated. Just as strong. Nothing has changed. It was off the market for two years. Currently not available in the United States and must be imported like crystal noir EDP. As a guy it’s not something I wear often, but when I’m by myself I like to smell like liquid gold hehe. The shower gel is a masterpiece and better then either of the sprays.

I was so happy to fall in love bc this was a blind buy. I keep going back to Bright Crystal Absolu and I thought this was worth the chance. It has the Versace DNA which to me is fresh, airy and almost vague because all the notes harmonize so well. Reminds me of an upscale, sophisticated version of Gap Dream without the spicy bite. I’d classify this as an aquatic which is exactly what I was looking for. Dry down resembles Aqua Di Gioia. Check out the notes from Dream and the formula is similar with at least five of the same ingredients.

I had the chance to wear this perfume during a holiday in Sicily, and I must say it's the perfect refreshing scent for the Mediterranean climate. It's an elegant citrus fragrance, beautifully blended with pear and orange blossom. No single note stands out — instead, it’s an airy mix that feels effortlessly chic. Unfortunately, under the scorching 44°C sun, the longevity and sillage were quite short, lasting no more than 1–2 hours on my skin. Still, for a light and uplifting summer fragrance, it left a wonderful impression.

This is cheerful&lasts,bright&sunny,yet classy&sassy,all day I know I will not smell like anyone next to me in public,its unique&is definitely a yellow diamond I like it&for me this is a casual summer day&a happy mood to wear,floral & bright with the first few hours I'm loving the notes...but I only got this for longevity & I liked the orig yellow diamond...I wish a sharp note I get in this didn't exist other than this,great perfume for a summer day&even a summer night out.It suits all ocasions.... Really.

I received this perfume as a present. I’m not a big fan of citrus notes so I was a bit skeptical of it. For me, this perfume is a force of its own. Am I in love with it? Not really, but I can’t deny its charm. It lasts like crazy on me, even after a long shower I can smell some of it on my skin. This perfume is bright, the pear and freesia notes really stand out, but it’s also very “loud”. I usually wear it on my night outs since I don’t need to reapply it, definitely not office friendly.

I went to the mall to sample versace bright crystal absolu as I read many good reviews about the perfume. However there was one note in bright crystal (I tested the original and absolu) that I dislike. I saw yellow diamond and thought why not give it a try? I LOVE IT! I never thought I would like this one but I love it! It's fresh, sharp and airy. Longevity is 6-8 hours on skin, longer on clothes (I sprayed it on my scarf in the morning, can still smell it two days later). New favourite!

This is a very well blended and predominantly floral scent. Not that the fruit hides away. Oh no. The pear sorbet and citron are the stars of the show, but the florals are a huge chorus of backing dancers with apricot shoes on. There's also something creamy and custardy in this that makes my mouth water. And I'm sure I smell evening primrose, too. It's one of those scents that has you repeatedly inhaling at your arm to try and decipher the delicious smell...I'm doing it as I type!

this relative of mine has just a few perfumes but she cant name them, she sprays forgets it and goes. I cnat tell if this is the one she has and the one I am looking for. sparkly, fresh, sort of warm - sunny rather than creamy soft warm, floral but not thick, theres a glass or something running through it, don't know what it is, it takes out that fresh sweet combo that you smell a lot, it has depth. the edt is nice too but doesn't take on my skin so not worth the price

This one is an inoffensive yellow floral fruity scent. It is stronger and a bit different than the Yellow Diamond. I somehow feel it smells of coconut and pear initially, more fruity than floral. Later it changes to more floral notes with time. I like it but I prefer the original Yellow Diamond smell but that has no lasting power. I have a small miniature bottle and don’t feel the urge to go and a get a big bottle. There are far better perfumes out there.

Very pear forward perfume, pear is very strong to my nose, along with osmanthus and orange blossom making it a unique combination, very clean and crisp. Having said that, it smells very familiar to me, I might have come across it on other people or it's the pear that reminds of other fragrances with pear. It's a beautiful and strong scent, not a love for me but a solid like, very appropriate for spring and summer.

I smell more white florals than citrus but the citrus gives some character to the white florals while it sits in the middle-background. All in all clean and fresh. I prefer it over the regular Yellow Diamond. It's hard for me to estimate projection and longevity since I have the small 5ml no atomizer bottles. So I don't know how much I apply when I do a scent trail because I have a very small experience with that.

I was out shopping today and tried this on. It was lovely at first with the nice pear, jasmine and citris notes then it morphed into something rather sharp to my senses. I believe it was the heavily concentration of citrus? Perhaps the freesia? Maybe both? It dryed down to a more calm and wonderful scent and I love it. I may be getting this. The longevity is 7+ hours and the sillage is heavy.. 9/10

I agree that this fragrance’s dry down is very similar to Armani’s Acqua Di Gioia! To my nose, it’s a little more fizzier and a little less smooth in comparison. Yellow Diamond Intense’s longevity is absolutely fantastic though, it may not be intense in terms of projection but it sure does make up for by lasting days on the skin. A great and bright summery fragrance for the everyday!

This is my current daytime scent. I do prefer the original but I have only had the tester version of that, this one I have as a 30ml bottle. It does give me a slight headache but I can get past it. To me it smells very fresh, citrussy and floral. It's a perfect 'clean scent' (although I do think the original is fresher and brighter).

I wore Yellow Diamond Intense from a little sample lying in my desk drawer for ages. What can I say, it's pretty. Bergamote with pear at first though it turns fast on woody/flowery notes. Perhaps it's reasonable that all these hints of similarity to Vanitas I found (I have the Edt) are due to freesia. Sparkling. Notable persistence.

At first I thought this smells like melon, but there is no melon accord here. Maybe jasmine & bergamot & pear mixture made me confused. After 30 minutes it became more creamy & calmed down. I like it. However is this really intense? I haven't tried original one yet, so I cannot compare...

The bottle's colour is a perfect fit for this fragrance; beautifully fresh and citrussy white florals with lots of sweet citron, neroli, pear, and orange blossom. Spring & summer, warm and hot weather works perfectly. Projects just above arms' length.

smells like citrus candies... not sure I'd call candies 'diamonds' tho :) now that i used the word 'candy' , might give away that I think it's on the sweet side with this sugary, syrupy citrus vibe. inoffensive if that's what you're looking for.

Subtle floral scent even if it is named 'intense'. I can smell mostly cool, alluring jasmine and delicate orange blossom. I like it! It is feminine and charming. Update: I can smell a lot of exotic wood too and it bothers me...

I do think that I like the original more, but overall this is a very nice scent. You have to be really close to smell the fruitiness in it, the trail is very jasmine and musk. I overall like this fragrance.
