God Bless Cola

God Bless Cola top notes ; popcorn, cola, vanilla Vibes ; I love the energy of this perfume. It’s cheap, it’s simple, she doesn’t strive to be anything that she isn’t. She knows who and what she is - and that’s the smell of a movie theater in the morning. Smell ; Holy hell man this smells. SO good. The popcorn is less buttery and more akin to kettle corn, personally! The vanilla is a bit heavy but the cola comes through in the back FOR SURE. Smells the same on application then it does later on the dry down, maybe a little mellower. My partner and I agree that we wish it was stronger - I’m curious to know if a heavier application would fix that! Smells warmer on the skin than it does in the bottle. Sillage ; I didn’t get any kind of lingering effect honestly? When I left the room, the scent did too, near instantly. Projection ; because it’s an oil, it’s not very projective (for me) and is more an intimate smell. I put it on my inner elbow (I wash my hands too much to do my wrists) and my partner could hardly smell it at arms length. Longevity ; sticks around awhile! at least six hours. applied after a hot shower and stuck around for the evening until an hour after I woke up. dry down was hard to judge because it’s an oil but like. it was a good long while bc I fold my arms a lot lol Packaging ; the bottle was really hard to open I won’t lie. but I genuinely enjoy Versatile’s description of the perfume! Value ; okay so. a full bottle of this is cheap by a lot of perfume standards, and even with the lower strength, I would happily pay for a full bottle. I really liked the smell, I really enjoy oils, and I think a full bottle might have the cola intensity that I’m looking for. Final ; God Bless Cola markets itself as the anti-diet fragrance. it’s an ode to the sweetness of cinema, a birthday party at the movies, sickly sweet buttercream and sparkling cola. while these things are loud and intense, God Bless Cola sits very close to the skin and provides a truly delightful note to just your own senses and the senses of those who are closest to you. the hype for this cheap go-to is warranted. 8/10

Sampling Versatile Paris - God Bless Cola, one of the house’s most recent releases and my very first try of the house, ordered from Ministry of Scent because I saw it advertised there and it definitely caught my eye. The note list includes cola, popcorn, caramel, peanut butter, soft woods, sweet gourmand notes, and vanilla, and it largely delivers on these blend, mainly a peanut/caramel popcorn blend with a bit of cola, rather than being particularly cola-led, which is fine, since there are a couple of more cola-centric fragrances on the market that I love in Mancera Tonka Cola and Hendley Cola. It’s more reminiscent of Kerosene Unknown Pleasures in sort of caramel waffle aspect, albeit without the citrus but a little bit of effervescence via the cola, perhaps. Frankly, though, I cannot get enough of interesting gourmand creations like this that combine a variety of aspects for one collective scent memory. This transports me to not only a carnival / fair, but also to a movie theatre / cinema. Overall, it’s a lovely scent and off of the dabber sample seems to perform well, and this makes me look forward to sampling the rest of the house. God Bless Cola and other perfumes in the house are priced at $55 for 15ml in extrait (30%) concentration, sold with rollerball application, via boutiques like Ministry of Scent and Luckyscent. 8 out of 10

A very fun fragrance. It opens almost like a lemon tart with a buttery popcorn smell. It’s nostalgic, warm and cozy but a bit more linear than I expected. I love it and although I wouldn’t rush to buy another bottle when it runs out I definitely will keep it in rotation as a layering scent. 7.5/10. Update; it’s been a few days since I tried it and I can honestly say this is in my top five at the moment. The caramel is very present in the dry down but it never loses that buttery slightly smokey scent that it has on the open. I enjoy wearing this one to bed and it’s what I call a great “hug fragrance” you will definitely get a compliment after an embrace. Not sure about the cola scent but I do still get a lemony scent that isn’t listed but that’s the first thing that comes to mind. Have layered it with two fragrances and it compliments them well especially Angels share. I honestly think this one is a gem and I’m changing my rating to a 9/10. Would love to see how this smells to me in a few months. Only downside is that for a 15ml roll on I believe it’s a bit overpriced this should be $25. Either way another successful blind buy

God Bless Cola by Versatile Paris God Bless Cola is more caramel popcorn than cola. It opens with this rich, buttery, lactonic vibe that immediately gives off a cinema mood, like buttered popcorn on the floor, caramel coating everything, and maybe someone sipping cola in the back row. The cola note is there, but it's not the focus. If you're expecting a fizzy soda scent, this isn't it. The popcorn and caramel take center stage. Performance is where this falls short. The projection is moderate to good, but it only lasts around 30 minutes to an hour and a half on my skin, which is disappointing for something this unique. I use the 15ml roll-on format, which I like in theory, but I’m not a fan of the oily feeling it leaves on my skin after applying. Still, if you're into edible, buttery gourmands and want something that captures that cinema snack moment, it's worth trying. Rating: 8.3 / 10

God Bless Cola is an incredible creation - not as a perfume, but as a statement-making piece of modern art. This evokes such a crystal clear memory from my childhood that it almost makes me emotional; and for that I love it, however it’s not something I’d wear to be honest. It smells exactly like those cheap knock-off gummy cola bottles I used to get at the cinema pick n mix; like an off-brand, flat cola which is overtly sweet. To further the cinema effect, these cola bottles are strewn across the red, carpeted floor along with hot butter popcorn, left to stagnate on the dry, grubby surface of that unwashed carpet. Does that sound pleasant? Probably not, but it does smell great. As I said it’s not something I’d want to wear, as it really does smell like the cinema. However, this scent I found to be incredibly nostalgic and well made, it’s really impressive.

Not your typical cola fragrance! I usually find coca cola perfumes much too spicy and not sweet enough (apart from Snif’s Soda Snob which is a caramel cola dream), but this is a fluffy, lightly sweet, and a bit of a powdery cola scent. The cola note is actually pretty faint and fades within 10 minutes on my skin leaving behind marshmallowy caramel goodness. I don’t really get any peanut or woody notes. It reminds me so much of another perfume but I haven’t been able to figure out what, so I’ll update my review once it hits me. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 7 hours on me. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Maison Mataha Brownie Pop: much nuttier ❌ Mancera Tonka Cola: a very spicy cola scent, not as sweet ❌ SDJ Cheirosa ‘71: much nuttier

Such a fun fragrance! It is a gourmand but a fun and flirty one. Unapologetic and reminiscent of the "good old days" before covid when the movie theaters would burst at the seams with so many people eager to catch the latest release. It starts with a present and strong smell of buttery popcorn which subdues into a mix of peanuts and Scottish caramel. In the background a mellow cola smell tries to take the center but it is only allowed after about an hour of wearing the fragrance. I think it is an exciting, young, gourmand that takes a special place in my collection. The only thing I complain about is not buying it last year because it went up in price by U$ 10.00. Yikes!

At first, it smells like a dark, rich dusting of caramelized sugary cinnamon coating. You think "Wait, isn't it supposed to smell like co-" and by about that point, the cinnamon nut sensation should have melted into cola. There's something seriously Willy Wonka about how it transforms from one food to the next and I love it. I don't usually like roller application but this one feels unique with its rubber topper and the precise amount that is dabbed onto the skin. Still, if it ever came in a spray EDP I would be first in line to get it. It's a gourmand that manages to balance sweet, moody, and pensive. The perfect movie fragrance.

Where do I even begin! This perfume knocked me out of the park. I love smelling like a snack and Paris LA from What we do is secret (rebranded from A lab on fire) was already one of my favorite Coke scents. While that one is fizzy and way more sparkling, with some lime hints, this one is cozy, warm, buttery, toasty. You get a lot of the popcorn and butter in here! Def a must try for any gourmand fan. I just wish they’ve made this into a spray bottle and not a roll on, cause I need to bath in it. 😭

Loved this perfume. i had to blind buy this as i go to the cinema twice a week so it makes sense right? starts with a bit of vanilla cola and buttery popcorn and goes to very sweet syrupy warm spicy caramel vanilla.i get no peanut or nut. its so warm and cozy for the colder and wetter months ,like a sweet warm hug. love the bottle and roll actually and 0 plastic during delivery, so easy to recycle. would buy again because i plan to bath in this after summer ends

I decided to get this parfume because of upcoming autumn/winter season since I wanted to rock some popcorn-gourmand notes. Overall it was an excellent blind buy. Cola note is realistic but only at the start. After that it melts into very lovely butter-popcornish smell that sometimes gives me hints of smoky wood. I don't smell the vanilla or caramel. What I do smell is some citrusy-sour note (which is not cola, just something like straight up lemon).

Love it! Popcorn is strong in this one. Caramel isn't offensive to my nose, normally it isn't a note I can enjoy. All notes combined, it smells of a sweet buttery lemon tart to my nose. Really gourmand, not at all a subtle interpretation of a desert. It's a skin scent, I don't think it projects at all. But I put it on my neck and can smell it for 3-4 hours. Very handy bottle to pop in a bag and reapply during the day.

ohh this is so nice!! I didn't like how it smelled in the bottle but after trying it on it smells EXACTLY like popcorn and coke! I'm having a harder time getting peanut, but the popcorn is definitely rich and buttery. The cola is sweetened by vanilla and caramel, yet still keeps a sort of tangy, cola-citrusy note to it. Dries down to a lime-zesty caramel corn, vaguely cinnamony type of thing and it's amazing :D

My daughter and I go to the cinema regularly, and this fragrance takes us there is an instant!! It is just FABULOUS!!! It is a super fun gourmand.. the cola and sweet, buttery popcorn are there in spades! .. but the dry down is a to a perfect sweet woody scent, and I'm sniffing my wrist fir hours!!! Mainly a cold weather scent (to me) but I also know it'll be my cinema trip fragrance! LOVE it!!!

a really fun and nostalgic gourmand. the opening is mostly butter/popcorn and coca cola with a little bit of fizziness, then the vanilla, caramel, and other sweeter notes become more and more prominent. i think the longevity and sillage are pretty good but not too too much. only downside is the rollerballs are 100% oil so it does take a minute to dry down on the skin

An exceptionally delicious gourmand — the sweet, buttery opening is creamy and comforting. It gives a sense of relaxation and calm. I noticed the cola notes more on paper than on fabric or skin. They appeared after a while and were strikingly similar to the actual drink. The sillage fades quickly, but the longevity on fabric and skin is fairly good.

I very much enjoy this perfume!!! :) On a gloomy fall evening I'm in the cinema lobby, waiting for my favorite cult-classic 80's movie to start. I'm holding a bucket overloaded with steamy salted-caramel buttery popcorn and a non-diet Coke. It is a happy, cozy, uncomplicated and nostalgic perfume for me........and it makes me smile! :)

Never thought I’d love a combination of cola, butter, popcorn, and caramel so much. Beautiful scent, but this performs horribly. Maybe I am just not applying enough or am going noseblind, but I cannot smell this on myself past an hour unless I hold my arm directly up to my nose, which makes my sample a rare comfort wear for me.

One of the most unique scents I’ve ever purchased. Versatile’s collection is really growing on me — I never thought I’d venture into savory scents. The carbonation effect paired with the warm sweet butter is so fun and unique. This is kind of an intense one at first, but the dry down is very pleasant and nutty.

Gourmand bomb! Smells like caramel popcorn and cola in the best way. Longevity will easily last you 8-12 hours. Great for a date night. You'll catch people smelling the air in confusion, wondering where that delicious smell is coming from. One of the few in my collection that I've bought multiple of.

You look at the notes and you think "that's never gonna work out that's crazy" but it does.... delicious. Smell like popcorn and candied apple to me. I like the little roll on applicator. With such a weird smell it's better to apply in little dose ...

A really beautiful unique scent. The cola, popcorn and Carmel notes evoke a day at the ball game or night at the movie theater. Lactonic and vanilla notes give a nice perfume level to all those delicious gourmand notes in this scent.

DELICIOUS fragrance! Fizzy coke, buttery popcorn and rich caramel perfectly blended. This one takes you straight to your happy place. Had to get myself a backup bottle. Thank you Versatile Paris for this gourmand masterpiece!

This is so cool and original. This oil perfume smells incredible, it's really strong and captivating. Everybody around me can smell it and it seems they enjoy it. It's 60 % cola and 40 % butter popcorn for me.

Loooove it! I thought I’d never be able to wear a fragrance that smells like gummy bears but oh boy I am! Next in line in the “buy asap” list.

Flat coke and popcorn. The sticky floor of a movie theatre. I mean that as a compliment. It has the performance you would expect from an oil: not being a huge projector, lasting a reasonable amount of time as a skin scent. I kind of appreciate that as this falls into a category of fragrances I consider more for me to enjoy than other people. I usually don't like to smell super gourmand when I'm out in the world, but I reach for those types of scents when I want to cheer myself up or evoke a memory.

When I apply it, a smell popcorn, vanilla, cola and butter, very nice! After that it smells like buttery caramel and vanilla with woodsy notes and I still can feel the cola in it. Sillage is small but I can feel it, lasting power is a few hours, but both depends on how much you apply. It's a fun fragrance. However I don't like this roll-on thingy, I can live with it. Maybe I will repurchase once my bottle is empty. Great Autumn weekend fragrance for an afternoon walk.

one of the best coca cola and buttery popcorn combos i've tried. it immediately evokes the feeling of settling into your seat at the movies, with a bucketful of popcorn and a glass of coke, though the ice has already started to melt. this is a very warm fragrance that gets sweeter the longer it lingers on the skin. doesn't perform too well in the summertime, but i can tell i'm going to wear this a lot in the colder months.

Its starts with a hint of cola then turns quickly into a caramely, sweet perfume. Im not getting any peanut or popcorn. Caramel is the most dominant note. Not as buttery as Croissant Café. Performance is good. It was a blind buy because i adore all of their creations, the only problem that i can not picture myself wearing it during the day so i think i will just use it on lazy days as a ‘ stay at home’ kind of scent.

It’s a fun novelty fragrance that totally gives movie theatre vibes- the buttery popcorn note is dominant but I get cola and creamy and sweet, just no peanut. I didn’t expect it to project as it’s an extrait, but it’s not lasting on me or I’m going now-blind to it. I don’t know if I would wear this out, but it’s cozy and my husband and children enjoy it on me and themselves. 15ml is enough though.

Realistic Coca Cola scent. I don’t really get any of the other notes though, except for the caramel maybe. It’s interesting but I don’t really see myself wearing this, but it’s definitely not bad.

Not blind buy safe! I had been hovering over the "purchase" button for a long time for this one, but I had the good fortune to try it in person whilst in Arbois. Wow, yes that is a strong opening of sweet, sticky cola, then slips into a very American, deep yellow butter. Immediately, I thought yes, this is it, the day has come to buy it. At the tail of this thought, it suddenly soured into a greasy patchouli. I truly had flashbacks to the 6am afterparty, incense filled, cola spilled, pizza grease and butter dip on a rented flat floor, cannabis, B.O., regret, all under the first cracks of sun. Not to say these aren't positive memories, but man this fragrance sure likes to stick around and tell you about it. I kept smelling my wrists for the rest of the day, and the next, hoping that i'd come to a positive conclusion. In the end, I understood that I had just grown out of it.

I'm not a gourmand lover so this one isn't for me but it really does smell like what it says on the tin. I can convince myself in either direction at other moment - cola or popcorn. It really does smell like both. It does pretty strongly remind me of a cola scented lip smackers I had as a kid in the 90s so that's part of why I won't be able to wear it but I do really appreciate what it is, and I'll revisit it when I need a dose of nostalgia. Well done either way!

Really does smell like a movie night with sugary cola and popcorn. I do like the smell but I would not wear it, also my bf says that it smells like a dirty movie theater, which I find true but in a pleasant way. I get the cola first, realistic enough and then the buttery popcorn, it's fun and well done. Really evocative too. I think it's the best from Versatile after smelling them all, but it's not something I'd wear.

Hmm, not sure what I think of this yet. I get NONE of the middle notes. The lemony cola note doesn’t last too long and I’m mainly left with burnt (popcorn?) and woody notes. Wish this was a bit more sweet and my skin gave me more of those notes. The tiny bottle is very cute!

I like the general idea a lot, but it very easily gives off a "warm coke" note that I‘m not a fan of at all.

Not a cola fragrance, this novelty scent is theater concessions. Outremer Cola is closer to the real deal.
