White Marea

The opening is slightly bitter but refreshing, you can smell something like bergamot and a bit of mandarin. There is a un underlying soft/powdery tone. After a while it become a comforting, quiet skin scent and after a couple of hours fades away. Still, it is a very nice perfume, suitable for every day, morning, office/errands/house use.

Fresh scent, smells like basking in the sun on a spring day. The white florals are gentle and even powdery. It's sweet but still sophisticated. Dries down into a nice skin scent. I also second the Tom Ford Soleil Blanc similarity-- however this perfume has no coconut which I like. It doesn't smell like sunscreen

I have received the original sample of this scent (yes, apparently they do original samples (1,2 ml) as well) with my recent purchase, and the listed notes are: bergamot, coconut, cardamom and ylang ylang. Ever since In Red (Armand Basi), I'm a bit skeptical of (women's) fragrances with cardamom. I think it's one of the spices that performs better in men's fragrances. Here, this cardamom plays out quite differently, probably due to the added coconut, because the effect is creamy, nutty, very reminiscent of cinnamon (cinnamon rolls), and sweet. The notes don't list vanilla or tonka beans, but there is coumarin on the ingredient list, so it makes sense. There is a touch of citrus (bergamot), but this is not a fresh or light scent. It's gourmandish and sun-lotion like. A pinch of salt and a slight woody trace become discernible in the drydown. Performance wise, it sits close to the skin and it's mostly gone in 2-3 hours.

If you want Tom Ford Soleil Blanc but can't afford to splurge on it, this is the one for you. I don't know how Verset does it with its perfumes, but this one too is identical to Tom Ford. I also own TF Soleil Blanc (received as a gift) and the two are the same.
