Oud Noir

“Opulent” is a buzzword across the reviews, and for good reason. There’s a few harmonious layers here - rose-patchouli, with that hint of grape soda that Portrait of a Lady and its ilk tend to share. Then some purple-leaning florals bringing a touch of violet candies. And beneath, between, surrounding it all is a fluffy, opulent musk. I don’t get the fermented, blackberry woody funk of oud here - if anything it’s the posh fluffy “oud” of Tom Ford’s Oud Wood (confusingly not an oud scent, as you’d have to venture into the Intense or Tobacco Oud variants for that touch of the real). But leaving that very 2010’s argument aside, this is great - posh, pleasing rather than challenging but still very niche ... opulent. It’s not really masculine-leaning due to that fluffy musk & rose - I’d say it’s more like a feminine scent that I’m happy to pull off. A new fave.

This fragrance is soooo gorgeous and opulent it doesn’t smell like any other fragrance I own. I tried to buy vertus vanilla oud but it was sold out on Joma but this was available so I got it. Scent profile: The plum, Apple, Rhubarb, Grape, oud, saffron, and castoreum stands out to me. I hate animalic frags and this does not smell animalic however it gives it depth and character it's blended to perfection I wouldn't wear this in the heat because this fragrance radiates off my skin and it is very long-lasting. There's no hype to this fragrance and I hope it's like that because if YouTube reviewers known about this fragrance they would probably hype it up to the core also it's unisex leaning masculine although even though the fruits shine more the oud and castoreum notes are still there

Tremendous fragrance it does not smell like anything like oud satin mood or in that vein also imo very underrated. This fragrance smells rich and opulent.

This is fresh floral oud. Fruity in a dark way. Not too sweet. Smells high quality. I like it.

This perfume is like a little piece of heaven in a bottle.

Practical, wearable, dry oud. There’s a bed of fruit in the undertone and a plum note seems to shine through every now and again. Very nice 👌 but that plum should be omnipresent. Comes on harsh, then tones down into a semi-smooth, rose oud hybrid. Sits on a rigmarole of nuances. That’s not to say it’s poorly blended or inharmonious, especially considering the jambalaya of notes. VG 🙂 and a refreshing take on the rose oud scent profile. Decant worthy.

The fragrance starts with fresh rosey oud combo. Evolves to a rosey floral oud. Dries down to a vanilic woody scent. It is pretty hard to examine the other notes, they mostly serve to give nuances to rose and oud. Rose and oud are the main accords that dominate Vertus Oud Noir. Great quality. Lasts for the entire day and projects pretty good. It has a typical mideast aura. Rose-floral accords make it more feminine than masculine. There are many oud themed fragrances introduced in the last couple of years and most of them target mideast and arab customers. Vertus Oud Noir is definitely a niche offering that distinguishes itself from designers.

Beautiful fragrance, in the same vein as Oud Satin Mood by MFK, bit with enough differences to have it’s own merits. The plum is very intense in the opening, but then settles down a little bit as the rose Oud combo raises, but still continues giving the fragrance a sweet fruity touch throughout the full wearing. Oud Satin Mood is sweeter and more vanillic, while Oud Noir is brighter and fruity. In terms of performance both are great, I will need to give Oud Noir more uses but I’m sure no one will be dissapointed.

just like someone said up there,quite hard to determine other notes in there but the dry down I get is mostly rosy subtle musky which gives me joy.i love the smell on my man and it smells quite diff on me too.i love.will keep another bottle for preserve.

I got this one about three days ago and I wore it today. I must says its wonderful .it a rich smell with good sillage and longivity.I catch whiffs of it every time I trun sideways. I love it its trully awesome

It's nice. Great sillage and performance. Soft oud and fruit undertones. Though a bit too powdery for my taste. Unisex for sure, might lean slightly feminine due to that powdery dusting on it.
